A Study on the Implementation of Management System Based on UHD Transmission Contents (UHD 송출 콘텐츠 기반 관리시스템 구현)

  • This paper is a study on the implementation of MAM(Media Asset Management) to utilize UHD contents as high quality broadcast material. The implementation method of this paper is to separate MAM roles with content management functions and transmission workflow functions from workflow, metadata and system interface related work, which are divided into core MAM and MAM-Ex structure. Through the method proposed in this paper, we improved the content management method by applying the page menu method to the material metadata modification and applying the template method to the material structure API. In addition, the storage of UHD material and the configuration of the component server are pooled without any distinction of channels, thereby enhancing the security of UHD transmission assets by minimizing the movement of contents together with broadcasting material protection.

  • This paper describes ISO/TR 4804, an international standard to describe how to design and verify autonomous cars to ensure safety and cybersecurity. Goals of ISO/TR 4804 are (1) positive risk balance and (2) avoidance of unreasonable risk. It also 12 principles of safety and cybersecurity to achieve these goals. In the design procedures, it describes (1) 13 capabilities to achieve these safety and cybersecurity principles, (2) hardware and software elements to achieve these capabilities, and (3) a generic logical architecture to combine these elements. In the verification procedures, it describes (1) 5 challenges to ensure safety and cybersecurity, (2) test goals, platforms, and solutions to achieve these challenges, (3) simulation and field operation methods, and (4) verification methods for hardware and software elements. Especially, it regards deep neural network as a software component and it describe design and verification methods of autonomous cars.

  • The recent interest in artificial intelligence and machine learning has partly contributed to an interest in the use of such approaches for hyperspectral remote sensing (HRS) imagery classification, as evidenced by the increasing number of deep framework with deep convolutional neural networks (CNN) structures proposed in the literature. In these approaches, the assumption of obtaining high quality deep features by using CNN is not always easy and efficient because of the complex data distribution and the limited sample size. In this paper, conventional handcrafted learning-based multi features based on expert knowledge are introduced as the input of a special designed CNN to improve the pixel description and classification performance of HRS imagery. The introduction of these handcrafted features can reduce the complexity of the original HRS data and reduce the sample requirements by eliminating redundant information and improving the starting point of deep feature training. It also provides some concise and effective features that are not readily available from direct training with CNN. Evaluations using three public HRS datasets demonstrate the utility of our proposed method in HRS classification.

  • Science DMZ is a network architecture that considers complicated network components such as dedicated network, DTN, and minimum security policy to maximize transfer efficiency. And DTN tuning is an essential component to take full advantage of Science DMZ's available bandwidth. In addition, tuning of network system should be performed concurrently to minimize packet loss due to network bottleneck. In this paper, we propose a tuning method of data transfer node and network system for maximizing transfer efficiency in Science DMZ network architecture. As a result of the performance measurement using the KREONET, the network performance after the DTN tuning shows 180% improvement than that of existing method without DTN tuning. In addition, performance of 9.4Gb/s was shown without loss of performance measurement after tuning network system applying shaping policy.

  • The Maritime Domain Awareness system is a component that is necessary to enhance the awareness of all situations occurring at sea in relation to security, safety, economy, and the environment. To establish a marine situation recognition system that is currently being introduced in major maritime countries after approval by the International Maritime Organization's Maritime Safety Committee in 2010, operational measures should be established. For the purpose of establishing a technological foundation for the efficient construction of a Korean maritime situation recognition system, this study analyzed the status of each system (RADAR, VHF, and V-PASS, etc.) and proposed the application of data and communication standards.

  • Since the 9·11 terror attack in 2001, the Maritime Logistics Security System has been strengthened and required X-ray image for every imported cargos from manufacturing countries to United States. For scanning cargos, the container inspection systems use high energy X-rays for examination of contents of a container to check the nuclear, explosive, dangerous and illegal materials. Nowadays, the X-ray cargo scanners are established and used by global technologies for inspection of suspected cargos in the customs agency but these technologies have not been localized and developed sufficiently. In this paper, we propose the X-ray array detector system which is a core component of the container scanning system. For implementation of X-ray array detector, the analog and digital signal processing units are fabricated with integrated hardware, FPGA logics and GUI software for real-time X-ray images. The implemented system is superior in terms of resolution and power consumption compared to the existing products currently used in ports.

Design Study of a Brazed Plate Heat Exchanger Condenser Through Two-Phase Flow Analysis (이상유동 해석을 통한 브레이징 판형 응축기 설계 연구)

  • This study was aimed at designing a condenser, as a component of the organic Rankine cycle system for ships. The condenser was manufactured through press molding to achieve a bent shape to enhance the heat transfer performance, considering the shape of the heat transfer plate used in a brazing plate heat exchanger. The heat transfer plate was made of copper-nickel alloy. The required heat transfer rate for the condenser was 110 kW, and the maximum number of layers was set as 25, considering the characteristics of high-temperature brazing. Computational fluid dynamics techniques were used to perform the thermal fluid analysis, based on the ANSYS CFX (v.18.1) commercial program. The heat transfer rate of the condenser was 4.96 kW for one layer (width and length of 0.224 and 0.7 m, respectively) of the heat transfer exchanger. The fin efficiency pertaining to the heat transfer plate was approximately 20%. The heat flow analysis for one layer of the heat exchanger plate indicated that the condenser with 25 layers of heat transfer plates could achieve a heat transfer rate of 110 kW.

  • The Korean nuclear industry had developed the SPACE (Safety and Performance Analysis Code for nuclear power plants) code, which adopts a two-fluid, three-field model that is comprised of gas, continuous liquid and droplet fields and has the capability to simulate three-dimensional models. According to the revised law by the Nuclear Safety and Security Commission (NSSC) in Korea, the multiple failure accidents that must be considered for the accident management plan of a nuclear power plant was determined based on the lessons learned from the Fukushima accident. Generally, to improve the reliability of the calculation results of a safety analysis code, verification is required for the separate and integral effect experiments. Therefore, the goal of this work is to verify the calculation capability of the SPACE code for multiple failure accidents. For this purpose, an experiment was conducted to simulate a Control Element Drive Mechanism (CEDM) break with a safety injection failure using the ATLAS test facility, which is operated by Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI). This experiment focused on the comparison between the experiment results and code calculation results to verify the performance of the SPACE code. The results of the overall system transient response using the SPACE code showed similar trends with the experimental results for parameters such as the system pressure, mass flow rate, and collapsed water level in component. In conclusion, it can be concluded that the SPACE code has sufficient capability to simulate a CEDM break with a safety injection failure accident.

  • Coral reef fisheries are prominent for the archipelagic countries' food sufficiency and security. Studies showed that fish abundance and biomass are affected by biophysical variables. The present study determines which biophysical variables are important predictors of fish diversity, abundance, and biomass. The study used available monitoring data from the Indonesian Research Center for Oceanography, the National Board for Research and Innovation. Data were collected from 245 transects in 19 locations distributed across the Indonesian Archipelago, including the eastern Indian Ocean, Sunda Shelf (Karimata Sea), Wallacea (Flores and Banda Seas), and the western Pacific Ocean. Principal component analysis and multiple regression model were administered to 13 biophysical metrics against 11 variables of coral reef fishes, i.e., diversity, abundance, and biomass of coral reef fishes at three trophic levels. The results showed for the first time that the covers of other fauna, coral rubbles, and soft corals were the three most important predictor variables for nearly all coral reef fish variables. Other fauna cover was the important predictor for all 11 coral reef fish variables. Coral rubble cover was the predictor for ten variables, but carnivore fish abundance. Soft coral cover was a good predictor for corallivore, carnivore, and targeted fishes. Despite important predictors for corallivore and carnivore fish variables, hard coral cover was not the critical predictor for herbivore fish variables. The other important predictor variables with a consistent pattern were dead coral covered with algae and rocks. Dead coral covered with algae was an important predictor for herbivore fishes, while the rock was good for only carnivore fishes.

  • This study is to understand sure the primary crime prevention has been incidence as a social problem intended for parents through the analysis of the Crime Prevention Design (CPTED) CPTED element of recognize elements that target crime prevention strategy to effectively help students be and an object of the present invention is to provide a policy suggestion haryeoneunde proposed basic data required for orientation. To achieve the study objectives such as the core framework in this study IPA: Importance-Performance Analysis) also was selected. Subjects of study in 2010 Gyeongju Elementary parents name and were 203 first research group investigating the secondary school population of the region in 2014 to nomadic parents of 297 people sampled selection. Questionnaire that use by this study applies "Important-Performance Analysis : IPA" technique that Martilla & James(1977) presented and analyzed awareness for CPTED elements of strategy for student's crime prevention to elementary school pupil students' parentse. It was the first group, 0.886, 0.920, 0.895 and 2nd group 0.880, 0.906, 0.878 that reliability of (Cronbach' s ${\alpha}$) the importance, and believability of run chart was the first group, 0.880, 0.917, 0.878 and 2nd group, 0.735, 0.840, 0.830.
