C programming language has undefined behaviors, which cause unintended execution of a program. When a programmer adds sanity checks without caring about undefined behaviors, compilers may misunderstand and invalidate the sanity checks. Thus, we propose an automated system to detect invalidated sanity checks by marking sanity checks in source code and checking the marks in binary code.

Security threats are increasing with interest due to the mass spread of smart devices, and vulnerabilities in developed applications are being exposed while mobile malicious codes are spreading. The government and companies provide various applications for the public, and for reliability and security of applications, security checks are required during application development. In this paper, among the security threats that can occur in the mobile service environment, we set up the vulnerability analysis items to respond to security threats when developing Android-based applications. Based on the set analysis items, vulnerability analysis was performed by examining three applications of public institutions and private companies currently operating as mobile applications. As a result of application security checks used by three public institutions and companies, authority management and open module stability management were well managed. However, it was confirmed that many security vulnerabilities were found in input value verification, outside transmit data management, and data management. It is believed that it will contribute to improving the safety of mobile applications through the case of vulnerability analysis for Android application security.
Countries across the globe, including those in Europe, are waging a "war against terrorism" as international terrorist groups such as ISIS and lone-wolf terrorists have unleashed various large-scale attacks on rail infrastructure. Anti-South Korean sentiment exists in Muslim-majority countries because the nation has cooperated with the US for its military interventions in the Middle East, and ISIS has threatened to target South Korea four times since September 9, 2015. In addition, North Korea has been left isolated in the international community with its missile and nuclear tests, while further escalating inter-Korean tension and threatening to strike major facilities and attack important figures in the South. These situations imply that South Korea is no longer immune to terrorist attacks. If the nation fails to prevent or deter such terrorist attacks against rail networks, massive casualties, property damage and social confusion would be unavoidable, deteriorating national and international trust in its counter-terrorism policies. This may lead to a national crisis involving decreases in the number of tourists, dampened interest of foreign investors, and capital flight. This study aims to propose policy measures to enhance railroad security checks, based on the work of railroad police officers, for the sake of protecting citizens and public safety. The suggestions include an incremental expansion of railroad security checks; growth of the railroad police force and adjustment of their policing distribution with other police officers; enhancement of security systems across important rail networks; improvement of the Railroad Safety Act; Southeast Asia, including the corresponding strengthening of the national crackdown illegal immigrants, and plans for pre-emptive and regular cooperation among organizations related to the promotion of security checks and the prevention of terrorist attacks.
In Jana 2, to enforce a suity policy of a program, programmer writes permission sets required by the code at the policy file, sets Security Manager on system and executes the program. Then Security Manager checks by stack inspection whether an access request to resource should be granted or denied whenever code tries to access critical resource. In this paper, we develop a visualization tool which helps programmers enforce security policy effectively into programs. This system is based on the static permission check analysis which analyzes permission checks which must succeed or fail at each method. Based on this analysis information, programmer can examine visually how permission checks and their stack inspection are performed. By modifying program or policy file if necessary and examining analysis information repeatedly, programmer can enforce security policy correctly.

Privacy Protection Act of 30 March 2012 was performed. In general, personal information management to enhance security in the DB server has a security system but, PC for the protection of the privacy and security vulnerability analysis is needed to research on self-diagnosis. In this paper, from a PC to search information relating to privacy and enhance security by encrypting and for delete file delete recovery impossible. In pc found vulnerability analysis is Check user accounts, Checking shared folders ,Services firewall check, Screen savers, Automatic patch update Is checked. After the analysis and quantification of the vulnerability checks through the expression, enhanced security by creating a checklist for the show, PC security management, server management by semi-hwahayeo activates. In this paper the PC privacy and PC security enhancements a economic damage and of the and Will contribute to reduce complaints.

The purpose of this study is to examine the operational performances by the investment level of information security in companies. The theoretical background summarized the meaning of information security, management information security, and network security. The research process was carried out in four stages. As a result of the analysis, the level of information security was classified into four groups, and the difference in operational performance was confirmed. According to the categorical regression analysis of the three dependent variables, independent variables such as network threats, non-network threats, executive information security awareness, industry, organizational size, and information security education all affected information security regulations, in-house information security checks, and information security budget investments. The theoretical implications of this study have contributed to updating the latest information security theory. Practical implications are that rational investments should be made on the level of information security of companies.

CFI(Control Flow Integrity) is a mitigation mechanism that protects programs by verifying control flows. IFCC(Indirect Function Call Checks) and SCS(Shadow Call Stack), CFI supported by LLVM Clang compiler, were introduced to protect applications in Android. IFCC protects function calls and SCS protects function returns. In this paper, we propose attacks to bypass CFI on the application environment with IFCC and SCS. Even if IFCC and SCS were applied to user applications, it was confirmed that there were many code segments not protected by IFCC and SCS in the application memory. We execute code in CFI unprotected segments to construct 1) bypassing IFCC to call a protected function, 2) modulating return address via SCS bypass. We identify code segments not protected by IFCC and SCS in Android10 QP1A. 191005.007.A3. We also implement proof-of-concept exploits to demonstrate that modulation of control flow is possible in an environment where IFCC and SCS are applied.

The continuous growth of attacks in the Internet causes to generate a number of rules in security devices such as Intrusion Prevention Systems, firewalls, etc. Policy anomalies in security devices create security holes and prevent the system from determining quickly whether allow or deny a packet. Policy anomalies exist among the rules in multiple security devices as well as in a single security device. The solution for policy anomalies requires complex and complicated algorithms. In this paper, we propose a new method to remove policy anomalies in a single security device and avoid policy anomalies among the rules in distributed security devices. The proposed method classifies rules according to traffic direction and checks policy anomalies in each device. It is unnecessary to compare the rules for outgoing traffic with the rules for incoming traffic. Therefore, classifying rules by in-out traffic, the proposed method can reduce the number of rules to be compared up to a half. Instead of detecting policy anomalies in distributed security devices, one adopts the rules from others for avoiding anomaly. After removing policy anomalies in each device, other firewalls can keep the policy consistency without anomalies by adopting the rules of a trusted firewall. In addition, it blocks unnecessary traffic because a source side sends as much traffic as the destination side accepts. Also we explain another policy anomaly which can be found under a connection-oriented communication protocol.
With the increase in the types of information systems managed by public institutions and companies, a security certification system is being implemented in Korea to quickly respond to vulnerabilities that may arise due to insufficient security checks. The korea security evaluation system, such as ISMS-P, performs a systematic security evaluation for each category by dividing the categories for technical inspection items. NIST in the United States has developed SCAP that can create security checklists and automate vulnerability checks, and the security checklists used for SCAP can be written in OVAL. Each manufacturer prepares a security check list and shares it through the SCAP community, but it's difficult to use it in Korea because it is not categorized according to the korea security evaluation system. Therefore, in this paper, we present a mechanism to categorize the OVAL definition, which is an inspection item written in OVAL, to apply SCAP to the korea security evaluation system. It was shown that 189 out of 230 items of the Red Hat 8 STIG file could be applied to the korea security evaluation system, and the statistics of the categorized Redhat definition file could be analyzed to confirm the trend of system vulnerabilities by category.
