  • Digital watermarking has gained importance in recent years in copyright protection and multimedia. This paper proposes a secure and novel watermarking system based on complemented Maximum Length Cellular Automata (MLCA) and Two-Dimension Cellular Automata Transform (2D CAT). In this watermarking scheme, the original watermark is first encrypted by complemented MLCA with the private keys, and then the encrypted watermark is embedded into the CAT domain of the cover image, at last use the inverse CAT for the transformed image, the watermarked image is obtained. Experiment results show that this new method is more secure and provides robust performance against watermarking attacks.

  • In this paper, we present a survey of security and privacy preserving issues in M2M communications in Cyber-Physical Systems. First, we discuss the security challenges in M2M communications in wireless networks of Cyber-Physical Systems and outline the constraints, attack issues, and a set of challenges that need to be addressed for building secure Cyber-Physical Systems. Then, a secure architecture suitable for Cyber-Physical Systems is proposed to cope with these security issues. Eventually, the corresponding countermeasures to the security issues are discussed from four aspects: access control, intrusion detection, authentication and privacy preserving, respectively. Along the way we highlight the advantages and disadvantages of various existing security schemes and further compare and evaluate these schemes from each of these four aspects. We also point out the open research issues in each subarea and conclude with possible future research directions on security in Cyber-Physical Systems. It is believed that once these challenges are surmounted, applications with intrinsic security considerations will become immediately realizable.

IMSec(A identification of malicious node and secure communications in MANET)을 제안한다. IMSec은 AODV(Ad-hoc On-demand Distance Vector Routing)를 기반으로 하였다.

  • In this paper, a transmitter and a receiver using two identical Chua's circuits are proposed and a wire secure communications are investigated. A secure communication method in which the desired information signal is synthesized with the chaos signal created by the Chua's circuit is proposed and information signal is demodulated also using the Chua's circuit. The proposed method is synthesizing the desired information with the chaos circuit by adding the information signal to the chaos signal in the wire transmission system. After transmitting the synthesized signal through the wire transmission system, it is confirmed the feasibility of the secure communication from result of demodulated signals recovered wire tapped signals.

  • Nowadays mobile phones and PDAs are part and parcel of our lives. By carrying a portable mobile device with us all the time we are already living in partial Pervasive Computing Environment (PCE) that is waiting to be exploited very soon. One of the advantages of pervasive computing is that it strongly supports the deployment of Location-Based Service(s) (LBSs). In PCE, there would be many competitive service providers (SPs) trying to sell different or similar LBSs to users. In order to reserve a particular service, it becomes very difficult for a low-computing and resource-poor mobile device to handle many such SPs at a time, and to identify and securely communicate with only genuine ones. Our paper establishes a convincing trust model through which secure job delegation is accomplished. Secure Job delegation and cost effective cryptographic techniques largely help in reducing the burden on the mobile device to securely communicate with trusted SPs. Our protocol also provides users privacy protection, replay protection, entity authentication, and message authentication, integrity, and confidentiality. This paper explains our protocol by suggesting one of the LBSs namely“Secure Automated Taxi Calling Service”.

  • This paper studies secure wireless transmission from a multi-antenna transmitter to a single-antenna intended receiver overheard by multiple eavesdroppers with considering the imperfect channel state information (CSI) of wiretap channel. To enhance security of communication link, the artificial noise (AN) is generated at transmitter. We first design the robust joint optimal beamforming of secret signal and AN to minimize transmit power with constraints of security quality of service (QoS), i.e., minimum allowable signal-to-interference-and-noise ratio (SINR) at receiver and maximum tolerable SINR at eavesdroppers. The formulated design problem is shown to be nonconvex and we transfer it into linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). The semidefinite relaxation (SDR) technique is used and the approximated method is proved to solve the original problem exactly. To verify the robustness and tightness of proposed beamforming, we also provide a method to calculate the worst-case SINR at eavesdroppers for a designed transmit scheme using semidefinite programming (SDP). Additionally, the secrecy rate maximization is explored for fixed total transmit power. To tackle the nonconvexity of original formulation, we develop an iterative approach employing sequential parametric convex approximation (SPCA). The simulation results illustrate that the proposed robust transmit schemes can effectively improve the transmit performance.

  • This paepr presents a secure transmission system for document image using mixing algorithm. For this, we apply DM and RDM algorithm propoposed before. The transmitter embeds secretly the signature onto secure document, embeds it to non-secure document and transfers it to the receiver. The receiver makes a check of any forgery on the signature and the document. The total amount of data transmitted and the image quallity are about the same to that of the original document. Thus, a third party can not notice the fact that signatures and secure document is embedded on the document.

  • The SSL(Secure Socket Layer) protocol is one of the mechanism widely used in the recent network system. The improved information security mechanism based on the SSL is designed in this paper. There are important four information security services. The first is the authentication service using the Certificate offered from the SSL(Secure Socket Layer), the second is the message confidentiality service using the DES encryption algorithm, the third is the message integrity service using Hash function, and the fourth is Non-repudiation service. Therefore, information could be transferred securely under the information security mechanism including Non-repudiation service especially designed in this paper.

  • Real-time Transport Protocol (RTP) is widely used in VoIP stacks charging the multimedia data delivery. Concerning with payload protection of RTP packets, Secure RTP has been discussed in IETF AVT group to provide confidentiality and authentication features using block ciphering and message authentication coding. However, Secure RTP only concentrates on payload protection. Signcryption is a good candidate for key agreement. This paper proposes a key establishment protocol using Signcryption and shows example implementation of a secure VoIP application based on Secure RTP with the proposed scheme.
