피팅용 프레스 포밍 파이프 성형 모델 선정 및 검증 (Selection and Verification of Press Forming Pipe Model using Pipefitting)

  • This paper describes the design of a forged fitting form to acquire a method of product design measurement by target measurement standards. The pipefitting connects each pipe and combines seals and nipples with the pipes normally. Therefore, the section combined with the fitting pipe was measured by a 3D scanner, and the acquired measurement and the design measurement were obtained after modification of the forged fitting pipe by that standard. Moreover, the accuracy of the model was verified through leakage testing of the oil and verification of the design measurement for accuracy decisions on the design measurement after modification of the product.

  • 본 연구는 희박 예혼합 연소기에서 연소실과 연료-공기 혼합부의 공진모드의 관계가 연소불안정에 어떤 영향을 미치고 있는지에 대하여 실험적으로 확인한 연구이다. 다체널 동압측정을 통하여 각각 위치에서 동압의 모드와 각 센서들간의 phase를 분석하여 연소불안정의 원인을 규명할 수 있었다. 연소실의 길이와 혼합부의 길이를 음향학적 경계로 일치시켜 연소불안정 특성을 확인해 보았을 때 두가지 서로 다른 연소불안정 모드를 확인할 수 있었는데 저주파 연소불안정 특성은 화염의 열방출 섭동과 연소실의 공진모드에 기인하며, 고주파 영역대의 연소불안정 현상은 혼합부의 길이를 변경하였을 때 발생하는 또 다른 불안정 현상임을 실험적으로 확인할 수 있었다.

UV 영역에서 벤젠의 흡수 단면적의 측정 (Measurements of the Benzene Absorption Cross Section in the Range of Ultra Violet (UV))

  • An absolute absorption cross section of benzene was measured with a spectrometer system including a mono-chrometer and a grating in the wavelength region of $240{\sim}280nm$ under the atmospheric pressure and room temperature in the laboratory. A certificated reference benzene gas ($98{\mu}mol/mol$ in $N_2$) was used to measure its absorption cross section. A 710 mm cell with a quartz window and a 150 W Xe arc lamp were employed. The magnitude of absorption cross section of $1.41{\times}10^{-18}cm^2$ was lower than that of the reference spectra ($2.5{\times}10^{-18}cm^2$) of high resolution spectrometer, Total measurement uncertainty was estimated to be 4.0%.

  • This study is aimed to analyze temperature history at each section of mat foundation concrete applying double bubble sheets. The results of the study are as follows. Firstly, the results of measuring the temperature history indicate that the lowest external temperature has been recorded at -5.6℃ for the three-day measurement period. For the central section, the result indicates that the lower, center and upper part have all secured the concrete curing temperature of 18℃ or higher. This results are believed to have resulted from excellent heat insulation performance of double bubble sheets. For the edge section between the edge form and the concrete interface, the temperature has been measured, on average, approximately 12℃ lower than the central section. However, all measured sections have indicated the temperature of 5℃ or higher. Meanwhile, an analysis has been conducted through the estimation equation of compressive strength of maturity during the curing period in order to examine the possibility of early frost damage and the aspect of securing strength. It has been confirmed that the compressive strength is higher than 50°D·D, namely, 5MPa, on the 3rd day of the aging process, which allows early frost damage to be avoided.

  • Thin film filter type 4-channel wavelength division multiplexing(WDM) device was designed and fabricated for the application in optical subscriber loop system. It has multi-mode fiber pigtails and four wavelength division consisting of 0.81, 0.89, 1.2 and 1.3 um. The evaluated performances are 1-2d B of insertion loss(connector loss excluded)and 30-35d B of crosstalk attenuation for all channels. The performance of the fabricated device was tested in the wideband optical transmission experiment, where the SNR degradation due to the crosstalk of the device was found to be within a measurement error.

Carbon Rich 분위기에서의 KHR45강의 침탄특성 평가 연구 (Carburization Characteristics of MERT Type KHR-45A Steel in Carbon Rich Environment)

  • In this study, an HP-mod. type(KHR-45A), which is used as a heater tube material in the pyrolysis process, was evaluated for its carburizing properties. It was confirmed from the microstructural observation of the tubes that the volume fraction of carbide increased and that the coarsening of Cr-carbide generated as a degree of carburization increased. The depth of the hardened layer, which is similar to the thickness of the carburized region of each specimen, due to carburization is confirmed by measurement of the micro-Vickers hardness of the cross section tube, which thickness is similar to that of the carburized region of each specimen. Two types of chromium carbides were identified from the EBSD (electron back-scattered diffraction) image and the EDS (energy-dispersive spectroscopy) analysis: Cr-rich $M_{23}C_6$ in the outer region and Cr-rich $M_7C_3$ in the inner region of tubes. The EDS analysis revealed a correlation between the ferromagnetic behavior of the tubes and the chromium depletion in the matrix. The chromium depletion in the austenite matrix is the main cause of the magnetization of the carburized tube. The method used currently for the measurement of the carburization of the tubes is confirmed; carburizing evaluation is useful for magnetic flux density measurement. The volume fraction of the carbide increased as the measuring point moved into the carburized side; this was determined from the calculation of the volume fraction in the cross-section image of the tubes. These results are similar to the trends of carburization measurement when those trends were evaluated by measurement of the magnetic flux density.

축소형 항공기 모델의 레이다 단면적 분석 및 측정에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Measurement and the Analysis of Radar Cross Section of the Scaled Aircraft Model)

  • 본 연구는 축소형 항공기의 레이다 단면적 분석 및 측정에 대한 연구이다. 사전에 축소형 항공기에 대한 레이다 단면적 특성을 전자기 해석 툴을 사용하여 분석하고 실제 축소형 항공기를 제작하여 무반사실에서 측정하였다. 측정 시 구모델을 사용하여 RCS 특성의 기준 데이터로 적용하여 실제 축소형 모델의 시험 결과 데이터에 적용하였다. 측정 방법은 시간 게이팅을 적용하여 무반사실 내부에서 산란되는 성분에 대한 영향을 제거하여 측정의 정확성을 향상시켰다. 축소형 모델의 RCS 시험 결과는 사전 해석 결과와 같이 초단파 대역에서 상대적으로 RCS 특성이 높게 측정되었다. 향후 본 연구를 통하여 파장이 상대적으로 큰 VHF/UHF 대역 레이다의 표적에 대한 RCS 분석 및 측정에 대한 특성 기술에 활용할 예정이다.

3차원 가상바디 변형을 위한 체형연구 - 40대 여성을 대상으로 - (A Study on Body Shape for 3D Virtual Body Shape Transformation - Focusing on the Women with age of forties -)

  • The aim of this study was to successfully reflect human body changes on the transformation of the virtual body within 3D virtual fitting spaces. For this purpose, existing problems of shape transformation of the virtual body were analyzed and regression equations which provides useful basic data for transformation of the virtual body that can be applied usefully to the 3D virtual fitting system was developed. Necessary data for the analyses were body measurement and 3D scan data of women with average physical form between the ages of 40 through 49. The reason that we used human body changes of the female subjects in their forties was based on the recognition that fundamental female body changes start to occur from age of forty. Body shapes were largely divided into 3 groups according to obesity which was found to be the biggest factor of shape change. Seven factors were extracted based on factor analysis of 47 body measurement categories and regression equations were created to extract specific measurements for each BMI group based on these seven factors. The major contribution of this paper can be summarized as follows. First, the regression equations to extract specific measurements based on the 7 representative variables remediated existing problem of virtual bodies as it increased the number of body shape transformation areas. Second, the regression equations helped to overcome the problem of current failing to reflecting changes in body cross-section shape based on simple girth measurements based on analysis of cross-section distances.

도시철도 교량구간의 전차선 압상량에 대한 안전성 연구 (A study on the safety about Contact wire uplift of a metro-railroad bridge section)

  • There are 5 railway bridges in a Seoul metro network; Jamsil, Dangsan(line 2), Dongho(line 3), Dongjak(line 4) and Chungdam(line 7). Because there are strong wind and vibration in the bridges, uplift of a contact wire caused by pantographs in the bridge section is higher than in a normal section. If the uplift at the support point exceed 10 cm, an interference between pantographs and catenary system happens. Estimated maximum uplift is obtained by applying safety factor 2 to the simulation results. The application of the safety factor is needed for taking into account of the effect of the wind, etc. Previously, we can not check whether or not the safety factor is proper. Recently, we can measure the uplift during the train operation, as a telemetry system which can measure dynamic behavior of the contact wire has been developed. The aim of this research is to review how proper the safety factor related to the uplift is, based on the measurement. We performed simulations and experiments for the uplift at the Jamsil railway bridge. The simulations were performed for the every kind of the train passing the Jamsil bridge. In order to compare the analysis results with the measurement results, we measured the uplifts at the support when the trains passed the measuring point. Finally, we proposed adequate safety factor with the uplift for the bridge section.

A New Perspective on the Advanced Microblade Cutting Method for Reliable Adhesion Measurement of Composite Electrodes

  • The microblade cutting method, so-called SAICAS, is widely used to quantify the adhesion of battery composite electrodes at different depths. However, as the electrode thickness or loading increases, the reliability of adhesion values measured by the conventional method is being called into question more frequently. Thus, herein, a few underestimated parameters, such as friction, deformation energy, side-area effect, and actual peeing area, are carefully revisited with ultrathick composite electrodes of 135 ㎛ (6 mAh cm-2). Among them, the existence of side areas and the change in actual peeling area are found to have a significant influence on measured horizontal forces. Thus, especially for ultrahigh electrodes, we can devise a new SAICAS measurement standard: 1) the side-area should be precut and 2) the same actual peeling area must be secured for obtaining reliable adhesion at different depths. This guideline will practically help design more robust composite electrodes for high-energy-density batteries.
