The objective of this research is to find out the effect of innovative culture and quality of work life on competitive advantage strategy with the mediation of individual performance. This research is the continuance of previous research conducted by Adya Hermawati with an originality aspect emphasizing a concept comprising innovative culture, quality of work life, and individual performance as factors that control competitive advantage strategy. The research subject is Tourism Industry SMEs. Explanatory research is a research method used in this study, by surveying respondents. The data sources in this research are primary and secondary. Primary data is collected from respondents directly through a questionnaire whereas secondary data are obtained from references that are relevant to research problems. In conformity with this explanation, the type of research data is quantitative data. The results of this research show that: innovative culture has an effect on individual performance, quality of work life affects individual performance, innovative culture has an effect on competitive advantage, quality of work life affects competitive advantage, individual performance has an effect on competitive advantage, innovative culture affects competitive advantage with the mediation of individual performance, and quality of work life affects competitive advantage with the mediation of individual performance.

Background: The beneficial effects of implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs) in primary and secondary prevention patients are well established. However, data on potential differences between both groups in mortality are scarce. The aim of this study was to assess extra risk differences between primary and secondary prevention ICD recipients. Methods: Comparative mortality figures were calculated from a source article using mortality analysis methods. Results: Mortality ratio (MR) of primary and secondary prevention ICD recipients were 393% and 373%. Excess death rates (EDR) of both groups were 42 and 38 per 1,000. Discussion: MR and EDR were higher in primary prevention group. But, there was no significant difference.

In recent years, as many native English speakers are working in Asia to as English teachers, team teaching with local teachers has been commonly implemented within the Korean EFL classroom. Using qualitative case studies, this paper aims to explore native English-speaking teachers' (NESTs) perceptions of team teaching and their challenges at different secondary Korean schools. The study documents the challenges faced by three foreign teachers embedded in intercultural teaching teams. The data shows that common challenges include vague role distribution among teachers, problems presented by mixed levels of students, large classes, and students' low valuation during foreign teacher's classes, which go ungraded. The study calls for serious governmental efforts to change these fundamental problems and closely examine local factors that strongly affect team teaching practices before initiating a system of importing foreign teachers without proper preparation.

Piping and equipment are degraded by flow-accelerated corrosion (FAC) in nuclear power plants. FAC causes numerous problems and nuclear utilities maintain programs to control FAC. The key parameters influencing FAC are hydrodynamic conditions, water chemistry, and effect of materials. Recently, a nuclear utility has planned slight power uprates in Korea. Operating conditions need to be changed in the secondary system according to power uprates. This study analyzed the effect of wall-thinning caused by power uprates. The change of operation data in the secondary cycle is reviewed, and wall-thinning rates are analyzed in the main lines. As a result, two phase (mixture of water and steam) lines have a greater impact than a water line under power uprate conditions. Also, the quality of steam is the most important factor for FAC in two phase lines.

In this paper, we investigated the throughput of a cognitive radio network where two primary frequency channels (PCs) are sensed and opportunistically accessed by N secondary users. The sharing sensing member (SSM) protocol is introduced to sense both PCs simultaneously. According to the SSM protocol, N SUs (Secondary User) are divided into two groups, which allows for the simultaneous sensing of two PCs. With a frame structure, after determining whether the PCs are idle or active during a sensing slot, the SUs may use the remaining time to transmit their own data. The throughput of the network is formulated as a convex optimization problem. We then evaluated an iterative algorithm to allocate the optimal sensing time, fusion rule and the number of members in each group. The computer simulation and numerical results show that the proposed optimal allocation improves the throughput of the SU under a misdetection constraint to protect the PCs. If not, its initial date of receipt shall be nullified.

The methods controlling the confounding factors were discussed using the data of secondary infertility with induced abortion. Mantel-Haenszel method and logistic model were applied in the analysis to find out which factors were confounding and/or effect modification variables. In the logistic analysis, the main effect of induced abortion, spontaneous abortion, age and interaction effect between induced abortion and spontaneous abortion were chosen as independent variables being regressed into logistic functions. Spontaneons abortion was interpreted as a potential confounder and at the same time potential effect modifier and age was interpreted as potential confounder. Spontaneous abortion was shown to be more important influencing factor than age to the secondary infertility. In the course of logistic analysis, the problem of parameter estimation and hypothesis testing, assessing the fitness of a model, and selection of the best model were briefly explained. For the program of logistic model, FUNCAT Procedure of SAS package was chosen.

This paper proposes a compensating algorithm of a measurement torrent transformer (CT) using DSP. The core flux is calculated and then magnetizing current is estimated in accordance with the flux-magnetizing current curve. The core loss current is obtained with the core loss resistance and the secondary voltage. The correct secondary current is estimated by adding the exciting current to the measured secondary current. The performance of the proposed algorithm was tested using EMTP generated data. The experiment on the real CT was conducted using the prototype compensated system based on a digital signal processor. The results indicate that the algorithm can increase the accuracy of the measurement CT significantly.

Carbonyl compounds have been measured in downtown Seoul for September 1998 using 2-series impinger method. Average concentration (ppbv) of carbonyl compounds were 12.66$\pm$5.77 HCHO, 12.05$\pm$4.86 CH3CHO and 7.92$\pm$2.63 CH3CHCH3 These compounds were the most abundant carbonyl,. They showed maximum concentration during the daytime when photochemical activity was very strong minimum concentration were usually showed during the night and early morning. Comparison of diurnal variation of carbonyl compounds with the concentration of O3, NMHC, CO and meteorological data indicated that primary and secondary sources contributed the observed carbonyl compounds. Photochemical Formation Rate(PFR) of carbonyl compounds dur-ing the sampling periods were 61% HCHO, 85% CH3CHO, 85% CH3CHO, 71% CH3COCH3.

For the purpose of investigation the thrust force, the lateral force, and the eddy current loss when the primary and the secondary of a single-sided linear induction motor is displaced in the space, this paper proposes an analysis technique for the characteristics of the eddy current induced on the secondary and the magnetic flux density distribution in the y-z plane by F.E.M. To verify the effectiveness of this analysis technique, the starting-thrust force due to a lateral displacement is compared to the experimental data.

A saturation of magnetic flux in the core may occur when a large primary current flows when the iron-cored current transformer is used. This saturation makes the distorted secondary current of the CT. the distorted secondary current may cause the mal-operation or operation time delay of protective relays. CT compensation algorithm using The LSQ(Least Square) fitting method has a problem. It needs to acquire enough data for executing this algorithm without an error. In this paper, an enhanced algorithm using interpolation based LSQ(Least Square) Fitting Method is proposed. The Lagrange Interpolation Method is used for the interpolation and CT is simulated by EMTP. The results show that the proposed algorithm can accurately compensate a distorted secondary current more than existing Algorithm when the saturation severely occurs.
