The present paper investigates about the formation of the logical thinking and the intuitive thinking in mathematical concepts with reference to secondary talented students (students aged 16$\sim$17 years). As a main result, we conclude that their preference between the logical and the intuitive thinking does not related to the distinction of the school level and sex, while their consistence between them relates.

Ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) is a lung infection that develops in patients receiving mechanical ventilation. VAP contributes to about 50% of hospital-acquired pneumonia in ICU settings. One of the recommendation of the Institute of for Healthcare Improvement ventilator bundle is HOB elevation. HOB elevation affects shearing forces and makes higher risk for pressure injury development. Pressure injury (PI) is localized damage to the skin over a bony prominence. PI prevention guidelines recommend that HOB positioning should be lower to reduce risk for PI development which contradicts VAP prevention guidelines for the HOB between 30 and 45 degrees for ICU patients. This presents a care dilemma and tension. The purpose of this study was to perform a secondary data analysis using cumulative electronic health record data in order to determine the association of HOB elevation with VAP and PI in ICU patients. A secondary data analysis was conducted to determine whether HOB elevation is associated with VAP and PI. HOB elevation was not likely to be associated with VAP prevention whereas it was likely to be related to PI development. This is somewhat contrary to popular data and publications. Prospective cohort study is desired to inform us in an evidence-based fashion what actually is optimal HOB elevation for ventilated patients in ICU settings.

After many genome projects, algorithms and software to process explosively growing biological information have been developed. To process huge amount of biological information, high performance computing equipments are essential. If we use the remote resources such as computing power, storages etc., through a Grid to share the resources in the Internet environment, we will be able to obtain great efficiency to process data at a low cost. Here we present the performance improvement of the protein secondary structure prediction (PSIPred) by using the Grid platform, distributing protein sequence data on the Grid where each computer node analyzes its own part of protein sequence data to speed up the structure prediction. On the Grid, genome scale secondary structure prediction for Mycoplasma genitalium, Escherichia coli, Helicobacter pylori, Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Caenorhabditis slogans were performed and analyzed by a statistical way to show the protein structural deviation and comparison between the genomes. Experimental results show that the Grid is a viable platform to speed up the protein structure prediction and from the predicted structures.

The purpose of the present study was to set up the basic outline to define and to develop "housing education" in the field of home economics education. The main focus included in the present study was to suggest the basic data on the current status of housing education in Korea by examining the content of the textbooks and the secondary data o teacher's educational background. The methods used in the study were the contentanalysis of the elementary school curriculum and the secondary data analysis of the data on teachers and their education. The results of this study ere on follows, 1. The elementary school curriculum defined as the related fields of housing education were classified into 4 domains: housing planning, housing maintenance, housing environment, housing decoration. 2. The subject areas related to housing education was found to be moral education, social education, physical education, art, practical education. The total hours studying on housing education were the average of 1.1 hours per week. 3. Among the above 4 domains, the total hours used for housing decoration amounted to the highest rate through all the subject areas. 4. According to the secondary dta analysis, 49.5% of the teacher were the national teacher's college graduates, but there are no courses on housing education as such in the curriculum of the national teacher's college. it was concluded that more consideration should be given to the teacher training courses.

Many studies on the professional development of science teachers demonstrated that induction teachers' conceptions of teaching science are important factors in developing their professionalism. The present study was conducted to describe in detail the progress of two science induction teachers, June and Mike, towards conceptual change teaching, and to investigate secondary induction science teachers' conceptions of teaching science by analysing their conceptual ecologies. The study was interpretive, using multiple data sources to achieve a triangulation of data. Both June and Mike held strongly positive learning in their views of knowledge and science. Holding positivist views of knowledge and of science is likely to be a major obstacle for anyone coming to understand constructivism and its implications in teaching for conceptual change. This argument resonates in several key ways with the teachers' cases, even though I recognize differences between scenario and teachers, and between teachers themselves.

Numerical analysis of three-dimensional viscous flow-fields in the turbine rotor passages was carried out to investigate flow physics including the interaction between secondary vortices, tip leakage vortex, and the rotor wake. The blade tip geometry was accurately modeled adopting the embedded H grid system. An explicit four-stage Runge-Kutta scheme was used for the time integration of both the mean flow and turbulence equations. The computational results for the entire turbine rotor flows, particularly the tip clearance flow and the secondary flows, were interpreted and compared with the experimental data from the Penn State turbine stage. The predictions for major features of the flow field have been found to be in good agreement with the experimental data.

기존 모바일 학습 서비스는 실시간으로 방대한 량의 학습 정보를 데이터 패킷으로 제공받음으로써 사용자는 전송속도와 과다한 데이터 패킷 요금의 문제점을 가진다. 본 논문에서는 실시간 무선 패킷으로 정보를 제공하는 학습 방법에서 하드웨어 형태로 정보제공이 가능한 보조저장장치를 활용한 새로운 형식의 모바일 학습 시스템을 구축하는 방안을 제안한다.

This study adopted the descriptive survey research method. The population of this study comprised of the hearing impaired students in selected government secondary schools in Rivers state. The population of hearing impaired students in Rivers State is 257. A simple random sampling technique was used to select a sample size of 159. A self-developed instrument titled "Availability and Utilization of Library Information Resources Questionnaire (AULIRQ)" was utilized for data collection. 153 responses were collated, indicating a 96.2% response rate. The data collected was arranged and analyzed using frequency count, percentages, and mean and standard deviation. Finding reveals that information resources in the libraries understudied were inadequate and under-utilized. Also, it was established that among other barriers, under-funding is a major barrier to making information resources available for the physically challenged. It was recommended that schools offering special education for the hearing impaired should pace up in their developmental gap by providing such resources and ensure adequate funding by all stakeholders.

이 연구의 목적은 성폭력 피해 아동 청소년이 인지하는 2차 피해의 경험을 보다 깊이 있게 탐색하는 것이다. 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해 2차 피해 경험이 있다고 스스로 인지하고 있는 성폭력 피해 아동 청소년 6명을 연구참여자로 섭외하였고, 2~4회에 걸친 심층면접을 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 Colaizzi가 제시한 분석 방법에 따라 분석하였다. 분석 결과 '상처 위에 소금 뿌리는 가해자', '비빌 언덕조차 되어주지 않는 가족', '울타리가 무너진 학교', '상처를 덧내는 사법기관', '믿었던 도끼로 발등 찍는 상담원', '강 건너 불구경하는 이웃'이라는 6개 하위범주를 도출할 수 있었다. 아동 청소년이 경험하는 2차 피해는 성폭력이라는 1차 피해 후에 '이중삼중으로 밀려오는 후폭풍'과 같은 경험으로 드러났다. 연구 결과를 토대로 아동 청소년 성폭력 2차 피해 예방을 위한 사회복지적 함의에 대해 논의하였다.

의료서비스와 IT 기술간의 융합으로 환자 개인의 건강정보가 전자의무기록(EHR)의 보급과 함께 빠르게 전자화되고 있다. 이와 함께 유헬스사회에 접어들면서 전자화 된 환자의 건강기록들을 진료 이외의 공중보건 및 의학 분야의 연구, 의료서비스 향상을 위해 사용하고자 하는 2차이용의 요구가 증가하고 있다. 개인건강정보의 2차이용으로 의학 분야의 발전의 매우 유익한 일이지만 부주의하게 개인의 건강정보를 이용하는 경우 환자 개인의 프라이버시 손상이 발생, 더불어 2차이용융 통한 연구나 서비스 발전에도 제한이 발생할 수 있다. 하지만 아직 개인건강정보를 이용한 2차적 이용에 대해 체계적인 연구나 논의가 없는 것이 현실이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 개인건강정보의 2차이용과 관련하여 국내외의 법안들을 살펴보고 이를 비교 분석하여 앞으로 개인의 프라이버시를 존중하고 더불어 의료분야 서비스 있는 방향을 제시하고자 한다.
