Ice on Coil형 저온 잠열 축열시스템에서의 용융과정시 열전달에 관한 실험적 연구 (The Experimental Study on Heat Transfer during Melting Process in the Low Temperature Heat Storage System(Ice on Coil Type))

  • In this study, basic design data which were required for development of highly efficient ice storage system with low temperature latent heat were experimentally obtained. The ice storage system considered in this study was the one that has been widely used in the developed country and called the ice-on-coil type. Using the system, the ice storage performance for various design parameters which were the flow direction and the inlet temperature of the secondary fluid was tested. In addition, the clockwise variation of the heat transfer characteristics of the PCM in the ice storage tank were investigated. During the melting processes in the ice storage tank with several vertical tubes, decrease of the solid-liquid interface area, which was the heat transfer area, between the floating ice and the water made the decreasing rate of IPF less. Also, the total melting energy for the upward flow of the secondary fluid was higher than that for the downward flow during the melting process, but this trend did not appear if the initial temperature of the PCM was $4^{\circ}C$. The average ice recovery efficiency for the upward flow of the secondary fluid was higher than that for the downward flow.

가솔린자동차의 유효방전에너지와 배기가스와의 상관관계 연구 (A Study on Correlation of Effective Discharge Energy and Exhaust Emission of Gasoline Vehicle)

  • The experiment was done on traveling at the speed of 20km/h, 60km/h and 100km/h using the performance testing mode for chassis dynamometer. The experimental method were employed to measure the waveform of secondary ignition coil and exhaust emission. In this experiment, the correlation between the secondary waveform coming from ignition coil and exhaust emission were measured in decrepit vehicle. The secondary waveform characterized by the value of effective discharge energy. The following results are obtained by analyzing the data relativity between the effective discharge energy and exhaust emission. The variation rate of effective discharge energy was largest 60km/h, 20km/h, 100km/h velocity in the ordered named. As the vehicle velocity increases, the average variation rate of CO and $NO_X$ decreases and that of HC and $CO_2$ decrease. The value of effective discharge energy, CO, $NO_X$ and fuel consumption is measured badly in case of car with failures in MAP, spark plug and good in case of car with before and after maintenance regardless of vehicle velocities. The value of effective discharge energy is to be nearly parabolic shape as vehicle velocity increases. As the value of effective discharge energy increases, the value of $NO_X$, HC and $CO_2$ decrease, the value of CO increase. The most sensible factors of exhaust emission were CO, $NO_X$, and the small variation factors were HC, $CO_2$.

  • This paper describes a model flux pump experiment recently performed at the MIT Francis Bitter Magnet Laboratory. The results of the model flux pump will be used in the development of a prototype flux pump that will be couple to a high-temperature superconductor (HTS) insert coil of a high-field NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) magnet, Such an HTS insert is unlikely to operate in persistent model because of the conductors low index(n) The flux pump can compensate fro field decay in the HTS insert coil and make the insert operate effectively in persistent mode . The flux pump, comprised essentially of a transformer an two switches. all made of superconductor, transfers into the insert coil a fraction of a magnetic energy that is first introduced in the secondary circuit of the transformer by a current supplied to the primary circuit. A model flux pump has been designed. fabricated, and operated to demonstrate that a flux pump can indeed supply a small metered current into a load superconducting magnet. A current increment in the range of microamperes has been measured in the magnet after each pumping action. The superconducting model flux pump is made of Nb$_3$ Sn tape, The pump is placed in a gaseous environment above the liquid helium level to keep its heat dissipation from directly discharged in the liquid: the effluent helium vapor maintains the thermal stability of the flux pump.

두 번의 피크전류제한 기능을 갖는 변압기형 초전도한류기의 과도전류제한 동작 특성 연구 (Study on Transient Current Limiting Operational Characteristics of Transformer Type SFCL with Two Peak Current Limiting Function)

  • In this paper, we analyzed the operational characteristics of the fault current limiting according to the amplitude of the fault current for the transformer type superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL). If the fault current happens, the superconducting element connected to the secondary coil is occurred quench and the fault current is limited. When the larger fault current occurs, the superconducting element connected to the third coil is occurred additional quench and the peak fault current is limited. We found that the fault current can be more effectively controlled through the analysis of the fault current limiting and the short-circuit tests.

  • We have designed and fabricated a thermal scanning electron microscopy. It includes an electron source, two condenser lenses, one objective lens, a scanning coil and a stigmator coil for focusing in column and also have a secondary electron detector for constructing the image in chamber with a high vacuum condition and control part for operating the SEM. Especially, in order for us to find out the optical characteristics, our attention and studies have been concentrated on the effects of two condenser lenses and one objective lens for high resolution with SEM. Finally, we developed a high resolution thermal scanning electron microscopy.

  • LOA is the linear electromechanical device that mover is similar to secondary conductor of LIM. The mover reciprocates along stroke by supplying the alternating current to primary coil. LOA is the simpler and more efficient than other linear apparatus using the rotary motor because LOA produce the thrust force without any mechanical converter such as cam, clutch, belt, rack and pinion, etc. This paper deals with the static characteristics of moving coil type LOA by virtual work method, FEM analysis and experiment Results show that thrust force increases when mover travels form center to both ends.

이중철심을 이용한 병렬연결된 자기결합형 초전도한류기의 전류제한 및 회복특성 (Current Limiting and Recovery Characteristics of Two Magnetically Coupled Type SFCL with Two Coils Connected in Parallel Using Dual Iron Cores)

  • 본 논문은 고장발생 초기 고장전류의 크기에 따라 피크전류제한 기능을 갖도록 하나의 철심에 기존 1차 코일과 2차 코일이 병렬로 연결된 초전도 소자 1과 추가적인 철심을 사용하여 3차 권선에 초전도 소자 2가 연결된 자기결합형 초전도한류기를 제안하였다. 이중 철심을 이용하여 코일 1과 코일 2간 병렬로 연결한 자기결합형 초전도한류기가 고장발생시 피크전류를 초전도 소자 1만이 분담하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 그 이유는 초기 사고전류의 순간적인 요소가 커서 초전도 소자 1이 ?치되어 작동하였으나, 코일 3에 흐르는 전류가 임계전류를 초과하지 않았고, 이로 인해 초전도 소자 2가 ?치되어 작동하지 않았기 때문이다. 사고 시 피크전류를 순차적인 초전도 소자로 제한하기 위해서는 코일 1이 낮은 자기인덕턴스 값을 갖고 있으면서도 코일 2보다 코일 3이 보다 높은 자기인덕턴스 값을 갖도록 설계해야 할 것이다. 또한, 고장 발생 초기 사고전류의 크기를 결정하는 고장조건 중의 하나인 1차 코일과 2차 코일간의 권선비가 0.25일 때 두 SFCL의 전류제한 및 회복특성에 대한 검증을 선로단락실험을 통해 분석되었다. 이 단락실험의 분석결과, 가극결선인 경우가 감극결선한 경우보다도 전류제한 및 회복특성이 더욱 우수함을 확인할 수 있었다.

Backbone 1H, 15N, and 13C Resonance Assignment and Secondary Structure Prediction of HP0495 from Helicobacter pylori

  • HP0495 (Swiss-Prot ID; Y495_HELPY) is an 86-residue hypothetical protein from Helicobacter pylori strain 26695. The function of HP0495 cannot be identified based on sequence homology, and HP0495 is included in a fairly unique sequence family. Here, we report the sequencespecific backbone resonance assignments of HP0495. About 97% of all the $^1HN$, $^{15}N$, $^{13}C{\alpha}$, $^{13}C{\beta}$, and $^{13}CO$ resonances were assigned unambiguously. We could predict the secondary structure of HP0495, by analyzing the deviation of the $^{13}C{\alpha}$ and $^{13}C{\beta}$ shemical shifts from their respective random coil values. Secondary structure prediction shows that HP0495 consists of two $\alpha$-helices and four $\beta$-strands. This study is a prerequisite for determining the solution structure of HP0495 and investigating the protein-protein interaction between HP0495 and other Helicobacter pylori proteins.

  • HP1298 (Swiss-Prot ID ; P65108) is an 72-residue protein from Helicobacter pylori strain 26695. The function of HP1298 was identified as Translation initiation factor IF-l based on sequence homology, and HP1298 is included in IF-l family. Here, we report the sequence-specific backbone resonance assignments of HP1298. About 97% of all the $^{1}HN$, $^{15}N$, $^{13}C{\alpha}$, $^{13}C{\beta}$, and $^{13}CO$ resonances could be assigned unambiguously. We could predict the secondary structure of HP1298, by analyzing the deviation of the $^{13}C{\alpha}$ and $^{13}C{\beta}$ shemical shifts from their respective random coil values. 대형연소기에 적용되는 저주파 전자식 점화 트랜스 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of Low Frequency Electronic Ignition Trans for Large Combustors)

  • 본 논문은 보일러에 사용되는 점화트랜스에 대해 연구를 하였다. 점화봉 길이와 점화봉 간격 변화에 관계없이 출력주파수는 59.5~61.3Hz 사이에서 측정되었고 저주파 회로는 정상적으로 동작된 것을 알 수 있었다. 점화봉 간격이 2~10mm 변화를 주었을 때, 점화봉 길이가 30cm에서는 2.8A에서 3.45A까지 측정되었다. 점화봉 길이가 500cm에서는 9.37A에서 14.5A까지 측정되었고 1000cm에서는13.2A에서 32.6A까지 측정되었다. 점화봉 길이와 점화봉 간격이 증가 될수록 전류는 증가되었다. 2차코일 출력전압을 측정한 결과. 점화봉 길이가 30cm에서는 AC 0.84kV~AC 1.75kV로 측정되었고 500cm 인 경우는 AC 1.17kV~AC 1.944로 측정되었고 1000cm에서는 AC 1.4kV~AC 7.18kV까지 측정되었다. 점화봉 길이와 점화봉 간격이 증가되면 2차코일 출력전압도 증가되었다. 점화트랜스의 출력전압 측정한 결과, 점화봉 길이가 30cm에서는 DC 1.11kV~DC 1.57kV 까지 측정되었고 500cm 인 경우는 DC 2.49kV~DC 3.72kV, 1000cm에서는 DC 3.78kV~DC 9.42kV까지 측정되어서 점화봉 길이와 점화봉 간격이 증가되면 출력전압이 증가된 것을 알 수 가 있었다.
