XSS is an attacker on the other party of the browser that is allowed to run the script. It is seized session of the users, or web site modulation, malicious content insertion, and phishing attack which is available. XSS attacks are stored XSS and reflected XSS. In that, two branch attacks. The form of XSS attacks are cookie sniffing, script encryption, bypass, the malignant cord diffusion, Key Logger, Mouse Sniffer, and addition of lie information addition. XSS attacks are target of attack by script language. Therefore, the countermeasure of XSS is presented and proposed to improve web security.
JavaScript is a popular technique for activating static HTML. JavaScript has drawn more attention following the introduction of HTML5 Standard. In proportion to JavaScript's growing importance, attacks (ex. DDos, Information leak using its function) become more dangerous. Since these attacks do not create a trail, whether the JavaScript code is malicious or not must be decided. The real attack action is completed while the browser runs the JavaScript code. For these reasons, there is a need for a real-time classification and determination technique for malicious JavaScript. This paper proposes the Analysis Engine for detecting malicious JavaScript by adopting the requirements above. The analysis engine performs static analysis using signature-based detection and dynamic analysis using behavior-based detection. Static analysis can detect malicious JavaScript code, whereas dynamic analysis can detect the action of the JavaScript code.
Recently, there is a growing preference for a fast and secure cryptographic protocol that is applicable to Internet of things environments. Among the lattice-based cryptographic algorithms, the NTRU cryptosystem is secure by virtue of the shortest vector problem (SVP) and the closest problem(CVP), which is a problem of finding very short vectors and closest vector. NTRUSign, an electronic signature based on this cryptographic algorithm, has been proposed and proved unsafe for script attacks. In this paper, we propose a security protocol using a symmetric key algorithm by securing a shared key using key exchange. Therefore, the attacker can not compute the key value and intends to propose a more secure digital signature.

Recently, with the development of the Internet of Things (IoT) and cloud computing technologies, security threats have increased as malicious codes infect IoT devices, and new malware spreads ransomware to cloud servers. In this study, we propose a threat-detection technique that checks obfuscated script patterns to compensate for the shortcomings of conventional signature-based and behavior-based detection methods. Proposed is a malicious code-detection technique that is based on malicious script-pattern analysis that can detect zero-day attacks while maintaining the existing detection rate by registering and checking derived distribution patterns after analyzing the types of malicious scripts distributed through websites. To verify the performance of the proposed technique, a prototype system was developed to collect a total of 390 malicious websites and experiment with 10 major malicious script-distribution patterns derived from analysis. The technique showed an average detection rate of about 86% of all items, while maintaining the existing detection speed based on the detection rule and also detecting zero-day attacks.

WebView is a vital component in smartphone platforms like Android, Windows and iOS that enables smartphone applications (apps) to embed a simple yet powerful web browser inside them. WebView not only provides the same functionalities as web browser, it, more importantly, enables a rich interaction between apps and webpages loaded inside the WebView. However, the design and the features of WebView lays path to tamper the sandbox protection mechanism implemented by browsers. As a consequence, malicious attacks can be launched either against the apps or by the apps through the exploitation of WebView APIs. This paper presents a critical attack called Supplementary Event-Listener Injection (SEI) attack which adds auxiliary event listeners, for executing malicious activities, on the HTML elements in the webpage loaded by the WebView via JavaScript Injection. This paper also proposes an automated static analysis system for analyzing WebView embedded apps to classify the kind of vulnerability possessed by them and a solution for the mitigation of the attack.

The NH-NongHyup network and servers were paralyzed in 2011, in the 2013 3.20 cyber attack happened and classified documents of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co. Ltd were leaked on december in 2015. All of them were conducted by a foreign country. These attacks were planned for a long time compared to the script kids attacks and the techniques used were very complex and sophisticated. However, no successful solution has been implemented to defend an APT attacks(Advanced Persistent Threat Attacks) thus far. We will use big data analytics to analyze whether or not APT attacks has occurred. This research is based on the data collected through ISAC monitoring among 3 hierarchical Korean Defense System. First, we will introduce related research about big data analytics and machine learning. Then, we design two big data analytics models to detect an APT attacks. Lastly, we will present an effective response method to address a detected APT attacks.
Despite the convenience brought by the advances in web and Internet technology, users are increasingly being exposed to the danger of various types of cyber attacks. In particular, recent studies have shown that today's cyber attacks usually occur on the web via malware distribution and the stealing of personal information. A drive-by download is a kind of web-based attack for malware distribution. Researchers have proposed various methods for detecting a drive-by download attack effectively. However, existing methods have limitations against recent evasion techniques, including JavaScript obfuscation, hiding, and dynamic code evaluation. In this paper, we propose an emulation-based malicious webpage detection method. Based on our study on the limitations of the existing methods and the state-of-the-art evasion techniques, we will introduce four features that can detect malware distribution networks and we applied them to the proposed method. Our performance evaluation using a URL scan engine provided by VirusTotal shows that the proposed method detects malicious webpages more precisely than existing solutions.
WebShell is a web script file created by a hacker to remotely commands to a web server. The hacker can bypass the security system using the web shell, access the system, control the system such as file modification, copying and deletion, install malicious code in the web source code, attack the user's PC, And so on. There are many types of WebShell attack, but we study about attacks on PHP and JSP based web server which are used as representative ones. And we propose the method of web page management, method of development, and several other methods. By using these countermeasures, it is possible to effectively prevent damage caused by WebShell attacks.

There has recently been an increase of phishing attacks, attacks which lure users into revealing their personal information to an attacker who in turn exploits this information for economic gain. The conventional methods of fooling the user with similarly modified mail or address are constantly evolving and have diversified to include the forgery of mail or domain addresses. Recently the injury incurred by these attacks has greatly increased as attackers exploit the weaknesses found on a few web browsers and used these to conduct phishing attacks based on URL spoofing. Furthermore we are now witnessing the entrance of highly advanced phishing techniques that no longer simply rely on vulnerabilities, but employ ordinary script, HTML, DNS sniffing, and the list goes on. In this paper we first discuss means of investigating and preventing the advanced URL spoofing techniques used in phishing attacks, and then propose a scheme for fundamentally restricting them altogether.

As the number of Internet users exploded, attacks on the web increased. In addition, the attack patterns have been diversified to bypass existing defense techniques. Traditional web firewalls are difficult to detect attacks of unknown patterns. Therefore, the method of detecting abnormal behavior by artificial intelligence has been studied as an alternative. Specifically, attempts have been made to apply natural language processing techniques because the type of script or query being exploited consists of text. However, because there are many unknown words in scripts and queries, natural language processing requires a different approach. In this paper, we propose a new classification model which uses byte pair encoding (BPE) technology to learn the embedding vector, that is often used for web attack payloads, and uses an attention mechanism-based Bi-GRU neural network to extract a set of tokens that learn their order and importance. For major web attacks such as SQL injection, cross-site scripting, and command injection attacks, the accuracy of the proposed classification method is about 0.9990 and its accuracy outperforms the model suggested in the previous study.
