  • The main purpose of the study is to analyze the features of ensuring information security in the system of public administration of the constant development of the region. The actualization of the research topic is because the information has become a powerful means of manipulating the public and individual consciousness, as well as a real weapon used in new types of conflicts, confrontations, and confrontations. Creating opportunities for everyone to access information sources, developing the ability to use it, and at the same time protecting people from dirty information flows create a kind of subject-research field, one of the most relevant aspects of which is the problem of forming and implementing information security policy at the state, public and civil levels. The research methodology involved the use of theoretical and scientific methods. As a result of the study, the key features of ensuring information security in the system of public management of the continuous development of the region of the EU countries were identified.

  • In recent, the rolling stocks are gradually complicated in respect with design and production to improve the safety and reliability. Also, the reliability centered maintenance corresponding with system specification or technical requirements is needed to meet the higher quality in railway service. In present, each railway authorities are collecting the failure's data using information system, applying those for maintenance works. However, this system has not established with systematic and scientific approach. This paper represents the existing activities and plans for RCM management system for AREX's EMU.

  • The purpose of this study is to review and analyze the overlapping functions and activities of the nationwide scientific and technical information network system This study is helpful for users to gather information and for librarians and nations to reduce wastage of budgets through discarding the duplicated expenses of performing activities of the network systems. The research targets are KISTI and KERIS, which are functioning as the information network systems in the fields of science and technology. The research methods are literary reviews for theory background and analysis of their activities from internet homepages. As a result of the research, it is found and confirmed that there are some overlapping and duplicating functions and activities in the network systems.

The System of Radiation Dose Assessment and Dose Conversion Coefficients in the ICRP and FGR

  • Background: The International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP) recommendations and the Federal Guidance Report (FGR) published by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) have been widely applied worldwide in the fields of radiation protection and dose assessment. The dose conversion coefficients of the ICRP and FGR are widely used for assessing exposure doses. However, before the coefficients are used, the user must thoroughly understand the derivation process of the coefficients to ensure that they are used appropriately in the evaluation. Materials and Methods: The ICRP provides recommendations to regulatory and advisory agencies, mainly in the form of guidance on the fundamental principles on which appropriate radiological protection can be based. The FGR provides federal and state agencies with technical information to assist their implementation of radiation protection programs for the U.S. population. The system of radiation dose assessment and dose conversion coefficients in the ICRP and FGR is reviewed in this study. Results and Discussion: A thorough understanding of their background is essential for the proper use of dose conversion coefficients. The FGR dose assessment system was strongly influenced by the ICRP and the U.S. National Council on Radiation Protection and Measurements (NCRP), and is hence consistent with those recommendations. Moreover, the ICRP and FGR both used the scientific data reported by Biological Effects of Ionizing Radiation (BEIR) and United Nations Scientific Committee on the Effects of Atomic Radiation (UNSCEAR) as their primary source of information. The difference between the ICRP and FGR lies in the fact that the ICRP utilized information regarding a population of diverse races, whereas the FGR utilized data on the American population, as its goal was to provide guidelines for radiological protection in the US. Conclusion: The contents of this study are expected to be utilized as basic research material in the areas of radiation protection and dose assessment.

Study on Theoretical Models of Regional Humanity Lung Cancer Hazards Assessment

  • Purpose: To establish the concept of lung cancer hazard assessment theoretical models, evaluating the degree of lung cancer risk of Beijing for regional population lung cancer hazard assessment to provide a basis for technical support. Materials and Methods: ISO standards were used to classify stratified analysis for the entire population, life cycle, processes and socioeconomic management. Associated risk factors were evaluated as lung cancer hazard risk assessment first class indicators. Study design: Using the above materials, indicators were given the weight coefficients, building lung cancer risk assessment theoretical models. Regional data for Beijing were entered into the theoretical model to calculate the parameters of each indicator and evaluate the degree of local lung cancer risk. Results: Adopting the concept of lung cancer hazard assessment and theoretical models for regional populations, we established a lung cancer hazard risk assessment system, including 2 first indicators, 8 secondary indicators and 18 third indicators. All indicators were given weight coefficients and used as information sources. Score of hazard for lung cancer was 84.4 in Beijing. Conclusions: Comprehensively and systematically building a lung cancer risk assessment theoretical model for regional populations in conceivable, evaluating the degree of lung cancer risk of Beijing, providing technical support and scientific basis for interventions for prevention.

  • Abroad service of domestic academic thesis is very important for the enhancement of cited counting and Korea journals acknowledgement. The basis is to register DOI, the international academic thesis identifier at each thesis. It requires uneasy process depositing academic thesis to CrossRef which manages and registers DOI. KISTI has been conducting DOI/CrossRef deposit business object to domestic societies in scientific and technical field. In this thesis, we designed and implemented academic thesis DOI enrollment supporting system which is able to manage the required process on the online for the DOI/crossRef deposit business.

  • Marine biotechnology is one of the promising frontier of scientific exploration and commercial utilization for the next century. Compared with the terrestrial environment, the oceans of the world remain largely unexplored and include a major portion of bio-resources. Using the tools of biotechnology, the vast and diverse marine resources can be applied to produce new products and foods. Marine biotechnology has the characteristics of pro-environment, saying energy, and intensive knowledge. Therefore, we can take advantage of the marine biotechnology industry under our situation with the poor natural resources. The study focuses on the current status and administrative supports on marine biotechnology industry for upgrading the economic value of output. The status of our marine biotechnology industry is beginning stage in the economic aspects. Manpower and the level of most technologies are weaker than the ones of the advanced countries. More investment and recruiting skilled specialists are necessary because the improvement of marine biotechnology is depend on the technology and scientists. This study suggests the ways of administrative supports for domestic marine biotechnology: Efficient information network and supporting system for the development of marine biotechnology should be interrelated with other technical and scientific fields; The government should provide sustainable fund for the long-term research project and the infrastructure in the marine biotechnology.

  • The article is devoted to the design and development of an information system for preserving the results of testing to verify the residual knowledge of students of the resource for training specialists in information and communication technologies. The purpose of the study is to provide a scientific justification for the problem of developing professional training of specialists in information and communication technologies in the process of using an information system to save test results to verify students' residual knowledge and to verify the effectiveness of its implementation in universities. According to the results of the experiment, it can be argued that the introduction of an information system to preserve the results of testing to test students' residual knowledge in the educational process contributes to the professional training of specialists in information and communication technologies at the universities of Ukraine. The practice of development and use of modern information technologies focused on the implementation of psychological and pedagogical goals of teaching and education is fundamentally new mediated by modern technical and technological innovations.

  • It constructs a database generally and service it does, to use a commercial business DBMS that manages information and to use a retrieval system that supports a search, it adopts the gearing method of the DBMS and information retrieval system. But like this method is inconvenient must operate the DBMS and information retrieval system with duplication to be, there is a weak point where the data management and processing become accomplished with duplication. It presents the DB construction and information search and the management model of the KRISTAL-2002 information retrieval and management system base for the scientific and technical information data management and processing from the dissertation which it sees.
