A method using EI-GC-MS is described for the determination of amphetamines in hair. The method is applied to simultaneous quantify amphetamines (methamphetamine, amphetamine, MDMA and MDA). Drugs were extracted in 1 ％ HCl in methanol from hair. After derivertization with TFAA, the resulting drugs were separated on HP-5MS column during a 16 min program and identified by mass spectrometry with the SIM mode(EI-GC-MS). (omitted)

VIAGRATM, an oral therapeutic agent for erectile dysfunction, is the citrate salt of sildenafil. VIAGRATM is formulated as blue, film-coated rounded-dia-mond-shaped tablets, equivalent to 25mg, 50mg and 100mg of sildenafil for oral administration. ViagraTM has been allowed to be sold at the drug store in Korea officially, but it is still increased to sell or use counterfeits or smuggled goods, because of its high price or strict restriction on both sale and purchase. Discrimination and analysis of 13 cases of VIAGRATM tablets for verification of genuineness or counterfeit were requested to our institute on the period, from January 1999 to July 2003. (omitted)

The qualitative and quantitative analysis of MDMA and MDA in hair samples by GC/MS were reported. Hairs were collected from subjects aged 22-37 years, who were suspected of abusing MDMA. After washing with methanol, hair samples were cut into small pieces, extracted with methanol containing 1 percent hydrochloric acid for 20th, and the solution was evaporated. MDMA or MDA in the extract were determined by GC/MS using selected ion monitoring after derivatization with trifluoroacetic anhydride. (omitted)

A 35-year-old Perubian who suffered from grand mal seizures died in aircraft on his way from United States to Hongkong. When he boarded the aircraft, he was normal but later he suffered from hyperthermia, dizziness, abdominal pain, agitation and convulsion in the flight before dead. While performing the autopsy, 115 cocaine packs were found in the GI tract. To determine the concentration of cocaine and its metabolites, blood, urine, bile juice, gastric content, liver, spleen, heart, kidney, cellebrum and lung were taken and analyzed. (omitted)

Dextromethophan and carisoprodol have been abused to obtain a hallucination for longer than 10 years in Korea. Due to their seriousness of abuse liablility, recently government decided to control them as a psychotropic agents. As these are controlled, it is necessary for us to establish the analysis of these medicine and their metabolites in hair to prove the abuse of these drugs. This study is described for the determination of dextrometorphan and carisoprodol in hair. (omitted)

The purpose of this paper is to critique the links between science and scientific researchers, politics and capital surrounding vaccines and vaccination in a pandemic era. It also introduces standards for adapting ethical guidelines for research under public health emergencies to specific circumstances and contexts. It also introduces ethical standards to be applied to scientific research. that is, scientific relevance, social value, cooperative partnerships, reasonable risk-benefit costs, fair and voluntary participation, independent review, and equal moral respect for participants and affected communities. It also outlines the COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) pandemic-consent and other research procedure modifications proposed by Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU). We are on the lookout for powerful capital and hegemonic groups inseparable from politics and important decision makers in the pandemic era - that is, scientists, supporters, and scientific civic groups. It underscores the need for an independent and formal scientific advisory body with the right balance between science and politics.

Diazepam (DZ) is one of the most frequently prescribed drugs as an antianxiety agent. muscle relaxant. and anticovulsant and sometimes causes intoxication due to accidental overdose, misuse or abuse. DZ is metabolized to nordiazepam (NDZ, desmethyldiazepam), oxazepam (OX) and temazepam (TM) which are also pharmacologically active, although OX and TM do not accumulate in blood or plasma to an appreciable extent. Arsenic is a ubiquitous element that ranks 20th in abundance in the earth's crust, 14th in the sea water, and is a component of several hundred minerals. Arsenic and its compounds are mobile in the environment. Groundwater contamination by arsenic is a serious threat to mankind all over the world and it can also enter food chain. Humans are exposed to this toxic arsenic from air, food and water. (omitted)
