The purpose of the study was to understand how children age 10-13 select books in libraries and to identify their attitudes toward reading itself and library as a space for reading. The study was conducted within the framework of a qualitative study, and the data was collected from 32 children who visited urban public libraries in Seoul during the summer of 2010 through individual interviews. The data collected were analyzed with QSR NVivo9. The results show that (1) children seem to consider libraries as reading places, (2) children seem to understand that reading is an activity conducive to their learning, (3) children themselves selected their books for reading, (4) children used browsing and keyword searching to find the books they like to read, (5) children mentioned the importance of "their interests" and "appropriateness" in selecting books, and (6) there were a variety of factors affecting children's book selection; titles, cover images and illustrations, accessibility of books, genres and subject areas, treatment, favorite authors and books, and publishers.

The purpose of this study is to find a better way for placement of teacher librarians. So, the literature research is applied for the study. It is unreasonable to arrange one school librarian staff per 1,500 students, based on the criteria of the total number of personnel including that of teacher librarians and practice teachers and librarian, in accordance with the existing enforcement decree of Article 7. In fact, this clause, linked to other related regulations, makes it difficult to place teacher librarians. And the quota of teacher librarians is noticeably low as compared with that of other teachers who are not-teaching the subject matter. This operates disadvantageously to teacher librarians when it comes to assigning quota in secondary teacher selection test and the accumulation of this phenomenon gradually worsens the current situation. The roles of teacher librarians and librarians should be defined separately when amending the Enforcement Decree of School Libraries Promotion. And we should also take into consideration that the number of students per school is around 500. Therefore, Enforcement Decree of School Libraries Promotion Act should be revised toward placing teacher librarians depending on the size and number of schools. Predictability should be secured in teacher librarians selection test. In addition, flexibility should be granted to the training institute so that many people can prepare the teacher librarians qualification. Finally, it is necessary to increase the teacher librarian capacity for private schools. This study will be the basis of the theoretical foundation for stable teacher librarian placement.

Through the close examination of characteristics of adolescent, social institutions and its programs, and newly added and expanded library reference services. it is founded that new role and qualifications of young adult reference librarians are prerequisite subject. The following are the summary of new role and qualifications of specialized young adult reference librarianship. 1. Adequate training and education for the YA librarians is needed in order to have understanding of their characteristics (physiology, psychology, personality etc.). 2. Because of librarian's unique exposure to human relations and their personal awareness of other people's need, YA librarian should bring a person-centered managerial technique. 3. Librarianship may not have a clinical counseling function but to provide right answer or information, the librarian become counselor inescapably. 4. Librarians are not professionally trained to be experts on counseling in sex education. However, librarians can play an important role in educating YA by committing book selection, reader's advisory, referral services, library programming and staff development planning.

The detection of corporate failures is a subject that has been particularly amenable to cross-sectional financial ratio analysis. In most of firms, however, the financial data are available over past years. Because of this, a model utilizing these longitudinal data could provide useful information on the prediction of bankruptcy. To correctly reflect the longitudinal and firm-specific data, the generalized linear model with assuming the first order AR(autoregressive) process is proposed. The method is motivated by the clinical research that several characteristics are measured repeatedly from individual over the time. The model is compared with several other predictive models to evaluate the performance. By using the financial data from manufacturing corporations in the Korea Stock Exchange (KSE) list, we will discuss some experiences learned from the procedure of sampling scheme, variable transformation, imputation, variable selection, and model evaluation. Finally, implications of the model with repeated measurement and future direction of research will be discussed.

In the two-tier CDMA cellular system with microcells and overlaying macrocells, slow-moving mobile user are assigned to microcells and those who move fast are assigned to overlaying macrocells in order to minimize the total number of handoffs. With this consideration the problem is how to find the thresholds by which the system distinguishes fast-moving user from those who move slowly based on the estimated speed of users. In this paper, two methods for the mobile speed estimation are proposed and two operations schemes for micro-macro cellular CDMA system are suggested. Based on these, Optimization models to find the optimal thresholds for micro-macrocell selection, which are subject to the constrains of QoS, are developed in view of minimizing the weighted total number of handoffs. And then algorithms to find optimal solutions of the models are devised.

The purpose of this study is to analyse the current theses acquisition in university libraries and to suggest some useful findings for the more efficient acquisition of the theses. The results of the study can be summarized as follows (1) Depositary copies of each thesis in the libraries should be increased. (2) Under cooperative efforts, libraries must establish the exchange system of the theses by region or subject or characteristics of universities. (3) Each library should set up concrete selection criteria for the receiving of theses. (4) Development of purchase system would be necessary for economic and prompt acquisition of theses. (5) Theses should be microformed so as to save their storage space. (6) To give su n.0, pport to effective acquisition activity, various bibliographies about theses should be published.

한국어 생성기의 성능은 여러 가지 요소로 평가될 수 있다. 속도, 생성 문장의 복잡성 등 여러 가지 요소가 평가 대상이 될 수 있다. 그 중에서 가장 중요한 요소로 평가될 수 있는 것은 생성되는 문장이 얼마나 자연스러운 것인가 하는 것이다. 자연스러움의 정도는 정확히 측정할 수 없지만 그 중에서 어절의 순서 배치, 대응되는 정확한 어휘의 선정, 조사, 어미 등의 적절한 선정을 들 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 특정한 양상을 술어가 가질 때 주격조사의 선정에 주안점을 두었다. 기존의 생성기[l,3,7,9]에서는 대표격 조사 '가(무종성)'나 '이(유종성)'를 사용하였는데 양상을 동반할 때에는 '는(무종성)'이나 '은(유종성)'을 사용하는 것이 더 자연스럽다는 것을 보이도록 하겠다.

This research is a literature survey on the Supply chain security. International organization and governments have build security regulations to improve the security in the shipment through supply chain. The researches on supply chain security were increasing during last 10 years. We were surveyed 53 research including Korean and international papers. ills study was classified by research subjects, security regulation, and research methods. Korean researches were focused to introducing and reviewing on the security regulation, but the researches on specific security reinforcement were very rare. International researches were concerned with the subject of the airport security scanning problem, transportation security problem, port selection problem.

The objective of this study is to evaluate flood risk area by integrating GIS and RADARSAT data. The study area, Northeast Thailand, is subject to flood during the rainy season. The main data used in this evaluation included RADARSAT data, landform and topographic map. The evaluation was conducted by overlay operation of flood area in 2001, land form and buffer region beyond the flood areas with the selection criteria defined. Most of the flood risk areas were found in the low lying land form within the buffer region. The cloud penetrating capabilities of SAR is only a source of information for effectively assessment of flood risk area in Northeast Thailand.

The blooming of social media has simulated interest in sentiment analysis. Sentiment analysis aims to determine from a specific piece of content the overall attitude of its author in relation to a specific item, product, brand, or service. In sentiment analysis, the focus is on the subjective sentences. Hence, in order to discover and extract the subjective information from a given text, researchers have applied various methods in computational linguistics, natural language processing, and text analysis. The aim of this paper is to provide an in-depth up-to-date study of the sentiment analysis algorithms in order to familiarize with other works done in the subject. The paper focuses on the main tasks and applications of sentiment analysis. State-of-the-art algorithms, methodologies and techniques have been categorized and summarized to facilitate future research in this field.
