  • With development of the methodology for the selection of future emerging research and technology subject it will reach and the research for the concrete item selection which leads is propelled. It uses scientometrics objective indexes and accomplished information analysis of highly cited paper(HCP) & Clustering from the present paper. Scopus data about under using it accomplishes information analysis of construction traffic fields. It selects emerging research of construction traffic fields, it compares a national for technical trend.

  • This study examined the shop selection standards and preferred shops depending on the clothing attitudes identified by the psychological characteristics of consumers. To this end, this study selected the Korean Chinese college women in Yanbian. The study was conducted against 300 college students from May to June, 2002. Questionnaire was used for studying the subject of the thesis. Each question was rate4 in 5 point scale, where 1 means 'not at all' and 5 means 'definitely'. The data of this study was statistically analyzed using the SAS PC program. The t-test and $X^{2}$ were conducted to identify the evaluation criteria for clothing store and the preferred shops depending on clothing attitude groups and the factor analysis was carried out to analyze the clothing behavior factors. The results of study are summarized as described below. The clothing attitude of college women was classified into four factors: fashionable, brand-oriented, aesthetic and modest. The subjects were divided into two groups with higher average score and that with lower average score by factor, respectively. As a result of study on the evaluation standards of shop selection and preferred shops depending on the clothing attitude, for the evaluation standards of shop selection, three factors, fashionable, brand-oriented and modest factors, showed the significant difference between two groups. There was a significant difference between two groups in fashionable and brand-oriented factor and the preferred shops.

The Effects of Perceived Satisfaction Level of High-Involvement Product Choice Attribute of Millennial Generation on Repurchase Intention: Moderating Effect of Gender Difference

  • The purpose of this study is to derive various clues for the establishment of marketing strategies for companies that produce and sell high-involvement products for Millennials who are not the subject of current consumption but who will lead future consumption. For this purpose, this study aimed to derive 17 factors of high-involvement product selection attributes through FGI, and its relationship on repurchase intention after make a variable through PCA. A total of 158 valid questionnaires were used, and IPA, independent sample t-test, regression analysis, and hierarchical controlled regression analysis were performed. The results showed that overall, external and internal selection factors had a positive influence on repurchase intentions, and in particular, appealing to internal and external selection factors in order to promote repurchase intention. Meanwhile, the Millennials were found to have no gender difference. Therefore, the company producing and selling high-involvement products suggests that it is necessary to make a priority effort to secure brand awareness, trust in product producers, store trust, and product self-reputation as components of internal selection factors. It was also concluded that more strategic efforts were needed to focus on and appeal to the characteristics of the Millennial itself rather than to consider gender differences.

  • This study aims to examine both the theoretical framework and practical method for the building a subject-oriented collection of information resources form Internet. Through the study, a few conclusions as well as a suggestion were derived. 1. Conclusions : (1) The continuous learning and studying by the librarians working in the information society is required in order that they could have a broader recognition of the existence of various resources from Internet by subject, and that they could be armed with a greater ability to evaluate for the information filtering. (2) The use of a subject directory to collect needed information resources form Internet revealed the necessity for going through many steps linked by hierarchical indexes till arriving at the desired information, and accordingly the great time was needed to conduct the work. (3) In case of using various search engines, since the output of the relevant information largely depends on the adequate defining of the topic, the right selection of search terms and the accurate methods of inputting the keywords, systematic organization of the resources is not simple and easy. The classifying work of collected resources for the topic into the broader categories differs from that of the resources form other topics, for example, psychology, because of the idiosyncrasy of the contents of the each topic. (4) As one method to provide more revolutionary value-added service using Internet, it is necessary for the librarians to learn the skills to build the Web resource pages of subject-oriented collection of information resources from Internet on the specific subject. 2. A suggestion : Since the study did not complete the collection and organization of the information resources from the Internet on this topic, the remaining research and task should be the thorough collection of resources and the building the Web resource pages consisting of interconnecting links of indexes by spending greater time.

A Study on the Development of Standard Curriculum for Physical Therapy in Korea (한국 물리치료 과정의 표준교과 개발에 대한 연구)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to suggest new strategies available for the physical therapy curriculum development. Method: The curriculum of 4 Universities in 4 countries; America, Australia, Canada and Korea was compared to suggest new curriculum. Results: Overall, curriculum in Korea emphasized skill and technique areas and didn't showed many subjects to take foundation of subject for understanding principles. The experience in clinic is not enough to satisfy international recommendation. Conclusion: We suggest that a new curriculum should be based on the three part which are foundation, essential and selection subject, and extended clinical experience to essentially need to be physical therapy in the world-standard.

An Exploratory Study on Level and Influencing Factors of Academic Passion for Pre-service Elementary Teachers' Science PCK (초등 예비교사의 과학 PCK에 대한 학업 열정 수준과 영향 요인 탐색)

  • This study investigated the level of academic passion for pre-service elementary teachers' science pedagogical content knowledge (PCK) and the factors that influence the passion. To this end, 182 first to fourth grade students in advanced non-science majors who were taking science-related courses in the second semester were selected, and two tests were then administered to evaluate their academic passions for science subject matter knowledge and science pedagogical knowledge. Individual in-depth interviews were also conducted with some of the participants. It was found that the factors such as "importance" and "harmonious passion" for learning science subject matter knowledge and science pedagogical knowledge were found at a high level. On the other hand, the factors such as "like" and "investment of time and energy" were slightly higher than normal, and the factor such as "obsessive passion" was slightly lower than normal. The differences in academic passion for science subject matter knowledge and science pedagogical knowledge were greater according to the high school track than the grade. The pre-service elementary teachers selected more often the factors such as "individual interests", "high school track", "contents of science-related courses at the university of education", "characteristics of professor in charge of science-related courses at the university of education", and "experience in teaching practicum" as the factors that influenced their academic passion for science subject matter knowledge and science pedagogical knowledge. However, there was a slight difference in the selection ratio depending on the high school track.

  • This paper is a study of the system of liberal great books selection in universities of Korea. A questionnaire consisted of 14 questions was sent to 46 universities of which 42 universities responded. Results of the study can be summarized as follows: 1) Liberal great books selection system was operated 40% of universities, but 60% was not operated because of not preparation and without perception of necessity. 2) The name of liberal great books was varied in 11 kinds of 16 universities. It is desirable that the name is unified. 3) The founded year of liberal great books selection system was new comparatively with enhanced liberal education. 4) The greater part of liberal great books format were a leaf of catalog, but it is desirable that book form catalog with review for induction of reading interests. 5) It is desirable that renewal of liberal great books are irregularly in answer to a need. 6) It is a n.0, ppeared that selection of liberal great books were by professor, but it is desirable that selection is by many people of all parts without prejudices and subjectivity. 7) The title of liberal great books were 121 titles in average. It is desirable that the titles are about 100 titles for expected results. 8) In a duplicates of liberal great books, 5 copy is much more than other cases. It is desirable that the duplicates depend on students, use rates, budget etc. of universities. 9) Use rates of liberal great books are much more than other books, but it is necessary that public relations and stimulation of reading for most use. 10) In subject analysis, liberal great books consisted of humanities, social sciences and novel mainly. Specially, literature is 33% of the total. 11) Liberal great books consisted of occidental works and literature mainly. 12) It is a n.0, ppeared that analysis of a n.0, ppointment frequency was scattered exceedingly.

A Study on the book reviews published in review periodicals (문헌비평을 위한 서평의 분석적 고찰 -서평문화와 출판저널을 중심으로-)

  • This study is concerned with analysis of all the reviews published by the reviewing periodicals, The Book Review Culture and The Korean Publishing Journal, from 1991 to 1993. The result of analysis for 736 reviews are followed: 1) The percentage of reviews in the field of philosophy & religion, literature & language, science & technology is lower than the percent-age of books published. But in the field of history and social science the reviewing is proportionately higher than the publishing. 2) Book reviews are prepared by professors, literary reviewers, researchers, and experts in the particular subject field except librarian. 3) Basic elements of reviewing are the career and view point of author, trends of suject field, content, value, omissions, limitations, and format of book, reader's level, etc. Ideal method of book criticism may be summarized as follows: 1) The criterion of book selection are the book's value, the social . demand, and the proportion of titles published. 2) For the unbiased criticism, it should be written by the experienced librarian rather than the experts of particular subject field. 3) Book criticism need to provide not only guide to new books but also interpretation and evaluation about each book for its reader.

A One-Size-Fits-All Indexing Method Does Not Exist: Automatic Selection Based on Meta-Learning

  • We present a methodology that automatically selects indexing algorithms for each heading in Medical Subject Headings (MeSH), National Library of Medicine's vocabulary for indexing MEDLINE. While manually comparing indexing methods is manageable with a limited number of MeSH headings, a large number of them make automation of this selection desirable. Results show that this process can be automated, based on previously indexed MEDLINE citations. We find that AdaBoostM1 is better suited to index a group of MeSH hedings named Check Tags, and helps improve the micro F-measure from 0.5385 to 0.7157, and the macro F-measure from 0.4123 to 0.5387 (both p < 0.01).

Understanding of Clinical Trials and Application to the Real Practice (임상시험의 단계별 이해 및 실제)

  • Understanding of a clinical trial is essential in developing clinical guideline and adopting evidence based practice. In designing and executing clinical trials, following ethical requirements should be considered : social value, scientific validity, fair subject selection, informed consent, favorable risk-benefit ratio, institutional review board, and respect for human subjects. According to the stage of drug development, purpose of trials, accumulated scientific data, clinical trials for drug development are classified as phase 1, 2, 3, and 4. Phases of clinical trials can be overlapped and the judgment of entering into the next phase should be considered highly strategically. In reading, evaluating and interpreting clinical trial reports, various skills and challenges exist. Patient sample composition, trial duration, selection of endpoints, responders and non-responders, placebo effect, patient recruitment, and extrapolation to the real world are the examples of those challenges. Treatment success will come from the well balanced approach of evidence based decision making and consideration of specific single case.
