  • Let R be a ring and n a fixed non-negative integer. $\cal{TI}_n$ (resp. $\cal{TF}_n$) denotes the class of all right R-modules of FGT-injective dimensions at most n (resp. all left R-modules of FGT-flat dimensions at most n). We prove that, if R is a right $\prod$-coherent ring, then every right R-module has a $\cal{TI}_n$-cover and every left R-module has a $\cal{TF}_n$-preenvelope. A right R-module M is called n-TI-injective in case $Ext^1$(N,M) = 0 for any $N\;{\in}\;\cal{TI}_n$. A left R-module F is said to be n-TI-flat if $Tor_1$(N, F) = 0 for any $N\;{\in}\;\cal{TI}_n$. Some properties of n-TI-injective and n-TI-flat modules and their relations with $\cal{TI}_n$-(pre)covers and $\cal{TF}_n$-preenvelopes are also studied.

  • Kunsan National University obtained accreditation for its Architecture & Building Engineering Program from the Accreditation Board for Engineering Education in Korea (ABEEK) in 2004 and has offered an ABEEK-accredited degree pathway ever since. Then, in 2018, the university introduced the course-embedded outcomes assessment system as per ABEEK's KEC2015 accreditation criteria. One year into its implementation, the new system allows the measurement and assessment of 10 program outcomes covering 19 curricular modules and 1 non-curricular licensing examination. The system incorporates the four areas of specialization within architectural engineering as well as the three course categories of the math, science, and computer; liberal arts; and engineering core modules under the accreditation scheme. It also takes the students' academic years into account, especially for the mandatory modules offered to all students. Its rubric clarifies the performance criteria, performance level, assessment tools, objectives, and modules. The 2018 course-embedded outcomes assessment system is an ever-evolving structure with regular CQI: Continuous Quality Improvements along the circular process of system establishment → implementation → evaluation as per the virtuous cycle model required for an accredited engineering program.

  • In this paper, we propose a new fault tolerant architecture for high availability systems, where for module internal operations both processor modules perform the same tasks at the same time independently of each other while for module external operations both processor modules act actively. That is, operations of synchronization between dual processor modules except clock synchronization are requested only when module external operations are executed. The architecture can not only improve system availability by reducing system reintegration time but also reduce performance degradation problem due to frequent synchronization between dual processor modules. The clock unit consists of a clock generator and a clock synchronization circuit. This supplies a stable clock signal under clock unit disorder of any processor module or rapid clock signal variation. And this architecture achieves system availability and data credibility by designing as symmetrical form.

  • In this paper, we propose a general-purpose fault injection system for Linux loadable kernel modules. The fault injection system enables software developers and testers to inject various kinds of faults easily into user-specified kernel modules in user-controlled manner. The proposed system also provides workload generation in order to make injected faults be exposed effectively, By experiments, we show that the fault injection system correctly injects faults into Linux kernel modules. The proposed system can be utilized as a useful tool for testing during kernel module development It is also useful for studies on kernel behaviour analysis and fault isolation and recovery.

  • In this paper we study equivariant crossed modules in its link with strict graded categorical groups. The resulting Schreier theory for equivariant group extensions of the type of an equivariant crossed module generalizes both the theory of group extensions of the type of a crossed module and the one of equivariant group extensions.

  • We prove the Hyers-Ulam stability of partitioned functional equations in Banach modules over a unital $C^*$-algebra. It is applied to show the stability of algebra homomorphisms in Banach algebras associated with partitioned functional equations in Banach algebras.

  • Let R be a commutative Noetherian ring, I and J two ideals of R, and M a finitely generated R-module. We prove that $$Ext^i{_R}(R/I,H^t{_{I,J}}(M))$$ is finitely generated for i = 0, 1 where t=inf{$i{\in}\mathbb{N}_0:H^2{_{I,J}}(M)$ is not finitely generated}. Also, we prove that $H^i{_{I+J}}(H^t{_{I,J}}(M))$ is Artinian when dim(R/I + J) = 0 and i = 0, 1.

  • Let G be a group with identity e. Let R be a G-graded commutative ring and M a graded R-module. In this paper, we introduce the concept of graded quasi-prime submodules and give some basic results about graded quasi-prime submodules of graded modules. Special attention has been paid, when graded modules are graded multiplication, to find extra properties of these submodules. Furthermore, a topology related to graded quasi-prime submodules is introduced.

  • Utilization of membranes offers the promise of extraordinary energy savings if successfully applied to hydrocarbon-hydrocarbon and other organic separations. Membranes are bound to enter into refining and petrochemical operations involving liquid separations once appropriate materials and modules are developed. Hybrid processes such as utilizing membrane modules to break azeotropes formed during distillation are particularly attractive because they offer less process complexity and reduced capital investment[1,2].(omitted)
