인발가공에 의해 제조된 전선용 Al-Fe-Mg-Cu-B계 합금의 기계적 및 전기적 특성 (Mechanical and Electrical Properties of an Al-Fe-Mg-Cu-B System Alloy for Electrical Wire Fabricated by Wire Drawing)

  • In this study, an Al-0.7wt%Fe-0.2wt%Mg-0.2wt%Cu-0.02wt%B alloy was designed to fabricate an aluminum alloy for electrical wire having both high strength and high conductivity. The designed Al alloy was processed by casting, extrusion and drawing processes. Especially, the drawing process was done by severe deformation of a rod with an initial diameter of 12 mm into a wire of 2 mm diameter; process was equivalent to an effective strain of 3.58, and the total reduction in area was 97 %. The drawn Al alloy wire was then annealed at various temperatures of 200 to $400^{\circ}C$ for 30 minutes. The mechanical properties, microstructural changes and electrical properties of the annealed specimens were investigated. As the annealing temperature increased, the tensile strength decreased and the elongation increased. Recovery or/and recrystallization occurred as annealing temperature increased, and complete recrystallization occurred at annealing temperatures over $300^{\circ}C$. Electric conductivity increased with increasing temperature up to $250^{\circ}C$, but no significant change was observed above $300^{\circ}C$. It is concluded that, from the viewpoint of the mechanical and electrical properties, the specimen annealed at $350^{\circ}C$ is the most suitable for the wire drawn Al alloy electrical wire.

야외지질답사 및 모델링 기반 순환 학습에서 학생들이 그린 그림의 목적과 기능에 대한 이해 (Understanding Purposes and Functions of Students' Drawing while on Geological Field Trips and during Modeling-Based Learning Cycle)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 학생들이 그린 그림이 야외지질답사와 모델링 기반 순환 학습에서 어떤 의미를 갖는지 질적으로 탐색하는 것이다. 서울의 한 대학 부설 영재교육원에 재학 중인 10명의 학생이 참여하였다. 한탄강 형성과정이라는 것을 주제로 야외지질답사와 3차시 모델링 3차시 수업을 진행하였다. 각 차시별 학생들이 작성했던 모든 기록장(글, 그림), 연구자 필드노트, 학생들이 참여한 모든 영상 자료 및 음성 녹음, 전사한 인터뷰 자료 등을 연구진과 공유하였다. Hatisaru (2020) 그림 표상화를 야외지질학습의 맥락에 맞게 수정하여 그림의 유형을 분류하였다. 학생들의 글(text, memo)을 포함한 그림의 특징을 분석하기 위해 연연적 내용 분석(deductive content analysis)을 사용하였다. 또한, 그림이 모델링 기반 순환 과정(자료 수집 관찰, 모델 생성, 모델 발달, 자연현상의 구체화) 속에서 어떤 역할을 하는지 분석하였다. 그 결과 학생들의 그림 유형은 지질학적인 개념을 포함한 상징적 이미지, 지형학적으로 외형을 묘사한 외형적 이미지, 학생들의 심리적인 영역을 표현한 정의적 이미지가 있었다. 특징은 설명, 생산화, 정교화, 증거, 일치, 심상(心狀)으로 분류하였다. 그림의 유형과 특징은 모델링 기반 순환 학습 과정에서 연속적으로 나타나며 학생들의 모델 발달 과정 속에서 학생들의 인지적인 영역에 관한 특성과 학업에 대한 긍정적인 태도와 감정을 반영하였다. 학생들이 그린 그림은 야외지질답사와 모델링 과정 모두에 있어서 학생들의 사고와 의사표현을 반영할 수 있는 도구로써 의미를 있음을 밝힘으로써 과학교육 관계자들에게 학생들의 그림 그리기 활동의 중요성을 역설하였다.

  • In this study, the first drawing die for the production of coil wedge is redesigned in order to enhance properties such as dimensional accuracy, dimensional uniformity, non-magnetism, and residual stress. The equivalent strain distribution is observed to be asymmetric at certain corners of the product and un-filling of material is also observed at the same location, based on the results of FEM simulation for the current drawing process. Additionally, a relatively huge amount of deformation is concentrated on the surface of the reference product leading to an increase in magnetic component and surface residual stress. After re-designing the cross-section of the first drawing step process conformed to relatively higher amount of reduction ratio, reduction of both surface residual stress and the volume fraction of magnetic component could be achieved for the finally-drawn coil wedge product.

전단-신선 가공된 6063 알루미늄 합금의 변형거동 (Deformation Behavior of 6063 Al Alloy Deformed by Shear-Drawing Method)

  • This work investigated the microstructure and mechanical properties of 6063 Al alloy fabricated by shear-drawing (SD) technique where shear and drawing strains were combined together within a predetermined die. To find the optimum condition for sound deformation, three different dies having different inner angle and diameter of the exit channel were prepared. After single deformation of the present sample, the sound deformation took place without an abrupt failure of the sample if the inner angle would be greater than $135^{\circ}$ in this study, when the channel diameter of the SD die was reduced from 10 to 9 mm. Microstructural observation showed that the inner angle of $135^{\circ}$ was found to be more effective than that of $150^{\circ}$ in terms of the alignment of each grain to the shear direction imposed by SD method. In addition, the yield strength of the SD-deformed sample was twice higher than that of the initial counterpart while loosing ductility in tension.

Feature-guided Convolution for Pencil Rendering

  • We re-render a photographic image as a simulated pencil drawing using two independent line integral convolution (LIC) algorithms that express tone and feature lines. The LIC for tone is then applied in the same direction across the image, while the LIC for features is applied in pixels close to each feature line in the direction of that line. Features are extracted using the coherent line scheme. Changing the direction and range of the LICs allows a wide range of pencil drawing style to be mimicked. We tested our algorithm on diverse images and obtained encouraging results.

  • 컴퓨터의 사용이 일반화되어 이제는 디자인분야의 실무에 있어서도 필수도구로서 자리를 굳히기 시작하면서 이제가지 사용해 온 재래의 디자인 재료들은 점점 현장에서 사라져 가고 있다. 대학에서의 교육도 업무의 현장에 대한 직접적인 적응력을 기르기 위해 컴퓨터를 학습의 도구로 사용한지 꽤 되었다. 따라서 디자인 기초과목 중의 하나인 도학의 강의와 수업방법도 재래도구의 사용법을 응용하여 컴퓨터의 어플리케이션 소프트웨어를 도입한 새로운 강의 방식을 제시해 보고자 한다.

Simulation of Color Pencil Drawing using LIC

  • We present a novel approach for the simulation of color pencil effects using line integral convolution (LIC) to produce pencil drawings from images. Our key idea is to use a bilateral convolution filter to simulate the various effects of pencil strokes. Our filter resolves the drawbacks of the existing convolution-based schemes, and presents an intuitive control to mimic the properties of pencil strokes. We also present a scheme that determines stroke directions from the shapes to be drawn. Smooth tangent flows are used for the pixels close to feature lines, and partially parallel flows inside regions. The background is rendered using a flow of fixed direction. Using different styles of stroke directions increases the realism of the resulting images. This approach produces convincing pencil drawing effects from photographs.

  • The frictional characteristics of Zn-Ni coated steel sheets were investigated by draw bead test and strip draw test. In strip draw test, the frictional characteristics were evaluated by the drawing force ratio (Tc/Ts) for half coating-stripped specimens. It is clarified that the drawing force ratio obtained by strip draw test is a convenient parameter compared to coefficient of friction obtained by draw bead test to evaluate the frictional characteristics of Zn-Ni coated steel sheets.

박판성형 공정 설계 및 해석의 발전 (Research History and Recent Trends in the Development of Sheet Metal-Forming Processes)

  • Sheet metal-forming processes such as stamping, deep drawing, bending, shearing, hydroforming, hydromechanical deep drawing, rubber forming, and incremental forming have been widely used in the automotive, aircraft, and ship-building industries. With the expansion of the automotive industry, research on these processes has been remarkably developed in Korea since the 1980s. Here, we review the history of this research as well as recent trends in sheet metal-forming processes. This overview focuses specifically on the results of research in Korea and on the works of Professor D.Y. Yang, in honor of his retirement.

  • The bast fiber of paper bush misumada have been cultivated in south coast bay of the Korean peninsula were not used to handmade painting paper. Therefore, in using the bast fiber of paper bush misumada manufactured handmade painting paper, tested absorption speed, blot characteristics and organic functions. The results are summarized as follows; The handmade painting paper manufacured only the bast fiber of paper bush misumada proper to the absorption speed of China ink, didn't have difference of the length and width for blot. And it was most fitted to east writing-and-painting using. Also the flexibility excell, and light and shade in overpainting directly appeared, and fitted to black-and-white drawing. And the using increase plan of the paper bush misumada demanded.
