In this paper we introduce PubMiner, an intelligent machine learning based text mining system for mining biological information from the literature. PubMiner employs natural language processing techniques and machine learning based data mining techniques for mining useful biological information such as protein­protein interaction from the massive literature. The system recognizes biological terms such as gene, protein, and enzymes and extracts their interactions described in the document through natural language processing. The extracted interactions are further analyzed with a set of features of each entity that were collected from the related public databases to infer more interactions from the original interactions. An inferred interaction from the interaction analysis and native interaction are provided to the user with the link of literature sources. The performance of entity and interaction extraction was tested with selected MEDLINE abstracts. The evaluation of inference proceeded using the protein interaction data of S. cerevisiae (bakers yeast) from MIPS and SGD.

The purpose of this study is to examine the images of libraries and librarians in Korean children's literature. For this purpose, fourteen children's fictions that the main background is library are analyzed. Library's role appeared in the children's fictions is focused on reading books. In the children's fictions, librarians are usually women and described as friendly and active people. And their role is shown as strongly committed to children's reading activities. Library services and activities for information literacy education and cultural development of children is hardly reflected in the fictions. It implicates that the libraries and librarians in children's literature is very reflective of those in the real world.

Timoshenko beam model is widely exploited in the literature to examine the mechanical behavior of stubby beam-like components. Timoshenko beam theory is well-known to require the shear correction factor in order to recognize the nonuniform shear distribution at a section. While a variety of shear correction factors are appeared in the literature so far, there is still no consensus on the most appropriate form of the shear correction factor. The Saint-Venant's flexure problem is first revisited in the frame work of the classical theory of elasticity and a highly accurate approximate closed-form solution is presented employing the extended Kantorovich method. The resulted approximate solution for the elasticity field is then employed to introduce two shear correction factors consistent with the Cowper's and energy approaches. The mathematical form of the proposed shear correction factors are then simplified and compared with the results available in the literature over an extended range of Poisson's and aspect ratios. The proposed shear correction factors do not exhibit implausible issue of negative values and do not result in numerical instabilities too. Based on the comprehensive discussion on the shear correction factors, a piecewise definition of shear correction factor is introduced for rectangular cross-sections having excellent agreement with the numerical results in the literature for both shallow and deep cross-sections.

This paper attempts to highlight quantitatively the growth and development of literature in the field of ecology in terms of publication output using the resource Web of Science$^{(R)}$. The focus of this analysis was to study the literature on ecology published in three journals, viz., Ecology Letters, Trends in Ecology & Evolution, and Annual Review of Ecology Evolution and Systematics. 2946 records were retrieved for 10 years (2003-2012). The study revealed that multiple authorship in the field with collaborations of two (30.31%) and three authors (19.89%) was dominant. The Degree of collaboration, Collaborative coefficient, and Collaborative index were calculated and the applicability of Lotka's law was tested. The study identified five-year patterns in research trends, using the three studied journals, to see if the subjects of focus changed within a decade. The most productive institution was University Calif. Davis, USA, followed by University Calif. Santa Barbara, USA, and University Queensland, Australia, and the most productive countries were the USA followed by UK and Canada.

Purpose - This study aims to show that consignments can enable supply chain collaboration, based on the review of selected studies, and aims to investigate its potential to be a better collaboration program, through an analytical comparison with other collaboration initiatives. Research design, data, and methodology - This study uses a literature review on selected studies that researched consignments. In addition, based on the proposed framework, the current consignment process and other well-known collaboration programs are analyzed in terms of three key collaboration aspects. Results - Most studies employ simple research in terms of their purpose and methodology. An analysis with the proposed framework indicates the potential of consignments to foster supply chain collaboration. Conclusions - Based on the literature review, this study suggests that future research needs to aim for diverse research goals and conduct sophisticated research on consignments. An analysis with the proposed framework shows that consignments would be more effective for supply chain collaboration if active information sharing and joint decision-making are implemented.

In the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, digital transformation, which means changes in all industrial structures, politics, economics and society as well as IT technology, is an important issue. It is difficult to know which research topic is being studied because digital transformation is being studied in various fields. Convergence research is possible because a research topic is studied in various fields such as computer science area and Decision science area. However, it is difficult to know the specific research status of the research topic. In this study, eight research topics were derived using the topic modeling technique of text mining for abstract of academic literature and the trend of each topic was analyzed. We also proposed to create a Topic-Word Proportions Table in the LDA based Topic modeling process to predict the topic of new literature. The results of this study are expected to contribute to advanced convergence research on topic of digital transformation. It is expected that the literature related to each research topic will be grasped and contribute to the design of a new convergence research.

To have a complete and comprehensive understanding of the research subject and to form an integrated legal framework for it, I have sought comprehensively to cover the major written literature on the issue under consideration. I also benefitted from a wide range of research and academic studies pertaining to the same topic, although that literature did not specifically address the issue of consumer rights in electronic contracting in the Saudi e-commerce system. Rather, it addressed only the civil and criminal protection of the consumer in e-commerce. I have divided the reviewed literature into two sections according to the sources.

The purpose of this study aims to provide possible suggestions for the improvement KDC 5th ed. as a system. After analyzing and evaluating time & space devices of KDC 5th ed.(including DDC 22th ed. and NDC 9th ed.). such as main schedules, common auxiliary tables, internal tables and notes, suggestions for the improvement were proposed. If above suggestions are adopted, effective literature classification scheme which is suited to domestic circumstances will be certainly prepared.

This research is a literature survey on the Supply chain security. International organization and governments have build security regulations to improve the security in the shipment through supply chain. The researches on supply chain security were increasing during last 10 years. We were surveyed 53 research including Korean and international papers. ills study was classified by research subjects, security regulation, and research methods. Korean researches were focused to introducing and reviewing on the security regulation, but the researches on specific security reinforcement were very rare. International researches were concerned with the subject of the airport security scanning problem, transportation security problem, port selection problem.

Recently, with the introduction of social network services, studies that try to make use of them for the various purposes have been actively investigated. In order to proceed with the research that takes advantage of social network services, it is necessary to review the relevant literature and to identify trends in researches. However, the researches of social network are massive amount, so to review the huge amount of relevant research literature is a very difficult task. Therefore, in this study, we analyze systematically the tendency of research related to social network service focusing on Twitter. Especially, we use the SLR (Systematic Literature Review) technique for systematic literature survey and analysis. For the literature survey, we select korean literature resource sites and 243 studies of literature that are surveyed. Studies and analyzes on Twitter in a variety of research studies were also using Twitter data that way beyond the simple question directly.
