Silicene is an emerging two-dimensional (2D) semiconductor material which has been envisaged to be compatible with conventional silicon technology. This paper presents a theoretical study of uniformly doped silicene with aluminium (AlSi3) Field-Effect Transistor (FET) along with the benchmark of device performance metrics with other 2D materials. The simulations are carried out by employing nearest neighbour tight-binding approach and top-of-the-barrier ballistic nanotransistor model. Further investigations on the effects of the operating temperature and oxide thickness to the device performance metrics of AlSi3 FET are also discussed. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed AlSi3 FET can achieve on-to-off current ratio up to the order of seven and subthreshold swing of 67.6 mV/dec within the ballistic performance limit at room temperature. The simulation results of AlSi3 FET are benchmarked with FETs based on other competitive 2D materials such as silicene, graphene, phosphorene and molybdenum disulphide.

The aim of this study is to investigate the purpose of the performance assess-ment, to develop and to apply it's task. By reviewing previous study, I conclude that the performance assessment is sug-gested to evaluate mathematical thinking and attitude in the purpose of school mathematics. To develop the task to fit the purpose of the performance assessment, I refer to the middle and high level in Van den Heuvel's classification the task "Find the number in the star" and about the assess-ment of school mathematics. Then I apply the performance assessment task developed according to this level, analyse the responses of children to "Let's make the problem" and suggest it's assessment rubric and anchor papers for each level for illustrating the process of developing a rubric. Finally, considerations to improve the performance assessment are discussed.

The purpose of this study is to examine the factors influencing performance of software companies. This model tests various theoretical research hypotheses related to innovation, standardization and technology marketing strategy and software type. Smart PLS (Partial Least Square) 2.0 and SPSS 15.0 have been utilized for deriving the study results. The result of hypothesis testing is as follows. First, standardization and technology marketing strategy positively influence financial performance. Second, innovation, standardization and technology marketing strategy positively influence technical performance. Finally, mobile and non-mobile software companies was shown that innovation, standardization, and technology marketing strategy has different effects to financial and technical performance.

Purpose - This study was conducted to identify the impact of teachers' professional development on students' performance. It examines the nature of association between teachers' professional development and students' performance, and analyzes how students can be affected by different factors of teachers' professional development. Research design, data, and methodology - In order to obtain the required goals, Data were randomly collected from 100 students and 45 teachers from three different institutes that are affiliated with KPK Agriculture University, Peshawar. To test the association between teachers' professional development and students' performance, the Chi-square test was applied. Gamma measurement was computed to check the direction of association. Results - The results of the study supported the statement that there exists a positive relationship between teachers' professional development and students' performance. Conclusion - Based on the findings it is surmised that, in order to create a clear learning relationship between teachers and students, management must support the teachers through peer group discussions and training opportunities, and should choose-teachers who can make students pursue the learning of subject knowledge with practical implementation.

To achieve a sustainable competitive advantage, firm is required innovative activities and competences. However, Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs) is hard to achieve a superior performance because they possess low competences. So, this paper identify determinants of innovation performance by firm size in motor and electronics industry based on a resource-based view. This paper analyzes the effects of innovation activities and competence on innovation performance by using firm-level data provided by Korea Innovation Survey (KIS). The empirical evidence presented shows that there are differences of determinants on innovation performance by industry and firm size.

Robust adaptive beamforming based on worst-case performance optimization is investigated in this paper. It improves robustness against steering vector mismatches by the approach of diagonal loading. A closed-form solution to optimal loading is derived after some approximations. Besides reducing the computational complexity, it shows how different factors affect the optimal loading. Based on this solution, a performance analysis of the beamformer is carried out. As a consequence, approximated closed-form expressions of the source-of-interest power estimation and the output signalto-interference-plus-noise ratio are presented in order to predict its performance. Numerical examples show that the proposed closed-form expressions are very close to their actual values.

We studied the human visual performance with PDP and LCD to clarify the relationships between viewer preference and chromatic adaption. In this paper, optical performance of the display is measured mechanically based on standard. The human visual performance about the display color image quality trough optical process is represented numerically based on CIECAM02. By comparing these results with the result of the questionnaire, performance of the display can be evaluated in detail.

본 연구는 대구경북의 중소기업을 대상으로 전략유형과 성과관리시스템이 경영성과에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구를 통해 중소기업에 적합한 전략유형을 알아보고 그에 맞는 성과관리시스템의 설계를 통해 기업의 경영성과를 개선하고자 하였다. 연구결과 전략유형 중에서 기술혁신형과 생산중점형은 경영성과에 유의적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 성과관리시스템은 재무적성과와 비재무적성과에 부분적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 전략유형과 성과관리시스템의 상호작용은 기술혁신형 기업의 경영성과에 유의적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 중소기업들이 전략유형에 맞는 성과관리시스템의 구축을 통해 경영성과를 향상 시킬 수 있음을 지지하고, 이를 통해 기업들은 자원의 제약과 무한 경쟁을 이겨내고 지속적인 성장을 할 수 있을 것으로 보인다.

Objectives : The aim of this study was to ascertain the effectiveness of job embeddedness and emotional intelligence on the performance of nurses working in medium and small sized hospitals. Methods : Data were collected from 283 nurses at 6 hospitals in G city. Structured questionnaires were used to assess the status of job embeddedness, emotional intelligence and nursing performance. The relationship and effectiveness between the factors were analyzed using multiple regression analysis. Results : The scores of job embeddedness, emotional intelligence and nursing performance were 3.02, 4.50 and 3.56, respectively. It was shown that the sacrifice of job embeddedness, self-motion appraisal, others emotions appraisal and the of regulation of emotion were positively correlated with nursing performance. The fit of job embeddedness, however, was negatively associated with nursing performance. The results showed that the status of job embeddedness and emotional intelligence explained the nursing performance($R^2=35%$). Conclusions : It has been shown that job embeddedness and emotional intelligence are important factors to enhance nursing performance. Activities to promote job embeddedness and emotional intelligence might be needed to enhance nursing performance.

Research underlined that Small and Medium Enterprises' performance is enhanced by different types of innovation capabilities. This research tends to present a comprehensive model to explain the relationship between innovation capabilities and SMEs' financial and operational performance. Specifically, this study tends to achieve three objectives: explores the set of product, process, organizational and marketing innovation capabilities possessed by owners/managers of SMEs and their impact on Chinese manufacturing SMEs' operational and financial performance dimensions, identify the determinants of innovation capabilities, and determine the contextual factors that moderate innovation capabilities and SMEs' performance. This research employed a qualitative research method using in-depth interviews with eight owners/managers of Chinese manufacturing SMEs. Research findings revealed that product and marketing innovation capabilities have a significant impact on SMEs' financial performance while process and organizational innovation capabilities positively influence SMEs' operational performance. The major determinants of innovation capabilities involved availability of sufficient organizational resources, entrepreneurial orientation, knowledge development and external networks. The contextual moderating factors on the relationship between innovation capabilities and SMEs' performance involved internal factors which are: SME size, SMEs' owner/manager work experience, entrepreneurial mindset; and external factors: market dynamism and cooperation strategies. This paper ends by drawing some concluding remarks and proposing future research avenues.
