The purposes of this study were to investigate the factors that influence the school drop-out of North Korean refugee youth and to generate recommendations for social work practice and the resettlement policies of the government to ameliorate the high school drop-out rate among North Korean refugee youth. This study examined the effects of the environmental factors such as the quality of parenting practice, peer attachment and the kind of school a youngster attends, and personal characteristics such as self-respect and acculturation stress level, and academic efficacy on the school drop-out intention. Gender, duration of stay in Korea, family economic status were established as control variables. The drop-out intention was used as a proxy for drop-out behavior. The study findings indicate that the personal characteristics such as gender, self-respect and acculturation stress, academic efficacy were the significant influencing factors, whereas environmental factors such as quality of parenting, peer attachment did not exert any statistically significant effect on the drop-out intention. At the conclusion, the implications of the study findings for research, social work practice and the government policies were discussed.
This study was to examined the relationship between goal setting, self improvement, social support of parents, friendship, school adaptation, drop out. In our research model, goal setting, self improvement, social support of parents, and friendship is exogenous variable and school adaption and drop out is endogenous variable. A total of 323 undergraduate student(254 female, 69 male) complete the questionnaires. Structural equation modelling showed that, as hypothesized, establishment of goals, social support of parent and friendship have effect on school adaptation, and friendship also have direct effect on drop out. School adaptation mediate path from goal setting, social support of parents, and friendship. This study provides empirical evidence for a model that show how to control the drop out of students.
This study aims to present basic data for preventing drop-out intention by identifying the mechanisms in which academic stress affects drop-out intention through self-esteem, peer relationships, and grit in high school students. The subjects of the study were 283 high school students purposively selected from three cities and counties in Chungcheongnam-do. The data were analysed using SPSS PC+ Win. ver. 25.0 and SPSS PROCESS macro ver. 4.2. The applied statistical techniques were descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and moderated mediation effect analysis. As a result of the study, first, academic stress showed a positive correlation with the drop-out intention, but a negative correlation with self-esteem, grit, and peer relationship. Second, grit not only played a moderating role in enhancing the relationship between self-esteem and peer relationship, but also played a moderated mediating role in the path of academic stress → self-esteem → peer relationship → drop-out intention. It was confirmed that the academic stress of high school students has a direct effect on the drop-out intention, and that self-esteem, peer relationships, and grit can be used as important factors to prevent the school drop-out.
The school drop-out among the youth has grown to become a serious social problem since about 2000 and calls for an attention to its seriousness. Therefore, this study reviewed the statitistical reports and the previous empirical findings on the school drop-out and integrated to establish a comprehensive understanding of this social phenomenon. The main concepts and terminologies on school drop-out, the current statistics, the possible causal factors and the usual trajectory the youth take after dropping-out of school were discussed to conceptualize the issue. Analyses indicated 12 characteristics of the students who dropped out of school. Those 12 characteristics were restructured according to the ecological conceptual model. The social instability and the financial crisis in the 1990's has eroded the stability of the primary environments of adolescents such as family and school. The family breakdowns from divorce and other reasons weakened psychological and financial support for adolescents. The diminished authority of teachers and school over students exposed conflicts between teacher and students, students' loss of purpose and interest in academic attainment. The adolescents showed emotional reponses like increased level of depression, helplessness, aggression, indicated cognitive reponses such as the loss of purpose and interest in studying, a heightened sense of uncertainty of the future, and behavioral responses like sexual acting out behaviors, and bullying. The unmet psychological needs of adolescents result in run-away and school drop-out behaviors, which in turn progress into juvenile delinquency as the society fails to provide adequate and appropriate guidance and interventions. The intervention strategies at the national level were proposed and the limitations of the study were discussed.
Today the number of high school drop-outs is increasing , and also it is serious social problems. But almost factor analyses on the drop-outs are projected by questionnaire. This paper find out by the real data form the concerned documents what factors of drop-outs are. In order to accomplish this study purpose, the methodology are used such as Fequency Analysis, Correlation Analysis, Crosstabulation Analysis. Through the this study this paper could siome suggestions as followings. The first , all education authority should analysis what factors of drop-outs and what drop-out situation is . The second, every teacher should counsel with all problem students sincerely regarding to their characters, future occupations, life course and etc. The third, the most and worst important factors of drop-out is runaway. Because it is very difficult for teacher to teach, lead and guide a runaway student, therefore thepreventino of runaway is efficient for reducing of drop-outs. The fouth, the students violating rules are retrained propoerly in view of guide for good path. The fifth, besides of the above factors. there are drop-out factors such as the health, disease, dafety accidents . All parents. teachers, and students should try their best to solve. To the end, education authority try to encourage teachers to do their role with maximum sense of duty.

This study was conducted to examine the resources that influence the choice of drop-out students' reentry to school. A total of five years of panel analysis of 2,553 drop-out teenagers from 2013 to 2017 were utilized. In order to verify the resources that affect the choice of school reentry of teenagers with experiences of suspension of studies to formal middle and high school after July 2012, this study analyzed drop-out teenagers' family resources as well as their psychological, mental, and social-relationship resources. A crossover analysis, t-test, and hierarchical logistic regression analysis were conducted. The major outcomes of this study are as follows: First, the socio-demographic variables among the resources that affected the choice of reentry for school of teenager children were the type of family and number of moves to a new house. Second, the psychological and sentimental variable that affected the choice of school reentry was a decreasing level of positive recognition of the situation of suspension of studies combined with depression, impulsiveness, and perceiving society as one that discriminates based on the level of education. Third, significant family resource variables were the type of family form and parents providing economic support, which is a subfactor of parental attachment. Fourth, the presence of a mentor as a helpful social-relationship resource had a significant effect on relational resources. This study is significant in the sense that the positive family resources that affect the choice of school reentry of drop-out teenage students were determined, and the positive directivity of supportive family resources is presented for parents with teenage children experiencing a suspension of studies.
An experimental investigation on the flow pattern and pressure drop was carried out for both an adiabatic and a diabatic two-phase flow in a horizontal tube with pure refrigerants R134a and R123 and their mixtures as test fluids. The observed flow patterns were compared to the flow pattern map of Kattan et al., which predicted well the present data over the entire regions of mass velocity in this study. The measured frictional pressure drop in the adiabatic experiments increased with an increase in vapor quality and mass velocity These data were compared to various correlations proposed in the past for the frictional pressure drop. The Chisholm correlation underpredicted the present data both for pure fluids and their mixtures in the entire mass velocity range of 150 to 600 kg/m$^2$s covered in the measurements, white the Friedel correlation was found to overpredict the present data in the stratified and stratified-wavy flow region, and to underpredict in the annular flow region.

An experimental study on the pressure drop during flow boiling for pure refrigerants Rl34a and R123, and their mixture was carried out in a uniformly heated horizontal tube. Tests were run at a pressure of 0.6㎫ and in the ranges of heat flux 5-50㎾/$m^2$, vapor quality 0-100 percent and mass velocity of 150-600 kg/$m^2$s. Generally, the two-phase frictional multiplier is used to predict the frictional pressure drop during the two-phase flow boiling. The obtained results have been compared to the existing various correlations for the two-phase multiplier. Also, the frictional pressure drop was compared to a few available correlations; The Lockhart-Martinelli correlation considerally overpredicted the frictional pressure drop data for mixture as well as pure components in the entire mass velocity ranges employed in the present study, while the Chisholm correlation underpredicted the present data. The Friedel correlation was found to satisfactorily correlate the frictional pressure drop data except for a low quality region.
This study aims at numerically analyzing on heat transfer the characteristics and pressure drop of plate heat exchanger(PHE) using the Phoenics 3.1 VR Editor for the standard k-$\varepsilon$ model. Computations have been carried out for a range of chevron angle from $30^{\circ}$ to $60^{\circ}$, inlet velocity from 0.03m/s to 0.63m/s and the height of corrugation from 0.0045m to 0.0060m. The results show that both of heat transfer performance and pressure drop increase as chevron angle increases. This is because higher troughs produce higher turbulence and a higher heat transfer coefficient in the liquids flowing between the plates. As inlet velocity from 0.03m/s to 0.63m/s increases, heat transfer performance and pressure drop increase parabolically. As the height of corrugation increases, both of heat transfer performance and pressure drop decrease with the decrease of velocity. And the pressure drop decreases and the friction factor increases as the height of corrugation increases.
