High resolution x-ray diffraction and two dimensional triple axis mapping were used to characterize a group of GaN layers of about 1.1$\mu$m grown by direct current plasma molecular beam epitaxy technique on 6H-SiC(0001). A FWHM of 11.9 arcmins for an $\omega$ scan and 1.2 arcmins for an $\omega$/2$\theta$ scan were observed. A careful study of the rocking curves showed there were some large mosaics in the GaN layer and a tilt of $0.029^{\circ}$ between the GaN layer and the SIC substrate was detected. The two dimensional triple axis mapping showed that the GaN mosaica were disoriented in the (0001) plane but rather uniformed in direction perpendicular to the plane. A mosaics were disoriented in the (0001) plane but rather uniformed in direction perpendicular to the plane. A mosaic model was deduced to explain the phenomenon and the dislocation density was estimated to be about~$10^9\;\textrm{cm}^{-2}$ acc ding to the model.

Purpose : We apply the Layered Rescanning PBS designed to complement the Pencil Beam Scanning(PBS), which is vulnerable to moving organs with the Moving Phantom, and compare the homogeneity with the single scan PBS. Methods and materials: Matrix X (IBA, Belgium) and Moving Phantom (standard imaging, USA) were used. A dose of 200 cGy was measured in the AP direction on a hypothetical tumor $10{\times}10{\times}5cm$. The plan type was planned as 4 kinds of sinlge scan PBS, rescan number 4, 8, 12 times. Were measured three times for each types. During the measurement, the respiratory cycle of the Moving Phantom was generally set to 4 seconds per cycle, and the movement radius in the S-I direction was set to 2 cm. In addition, beam on time was measured. Results : The mean values of $D_{max}$ in the PTV were $246.47{\pm}18.8cGy$, $223.43{\pm}8.92cGy$, and $222.47{\pm}7.7cGy$, $213.9{\pm}6.11cGy$ and the mean values of $D_{min}$ were $165.53{\pm}4.32cGy$, $173.13{\pm}11.94cGy$, $184.13{\pm}8.04cGy$, $182.67{\pm}4.38cGy$ and the mean values of $D_{mean}$$192.77{\pm}6.98cGy$, $196.7{\pm}4.01cGy$, $198.17{\pm}4.96cGy$, $195.77{\pm}3.15cGy$ respectively. As the number of rescanning increased, the Homogeneity Index converged to 1. The beam on time was measured as 2:15, 3:15, 4:30, 5:37 on average. In the measurement process, in the low dose layer of the MU, the problem was found that it was not rescanned as many times as the set number of rescan. Conclusions : In the treatment of tumors with long-term movements, the application of layered rescanning PBS showed a more uniform dose distribution than single scan PBS. And as the number of rescan increase, the distribution of homogeneity is uniform. Compared with single scan plan and 12 rescan plan, HI value was improved by 0.32. Further studies are expected to be applicable to patients who can not be treated with respiratory synchronous radiation therapy.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the dose and image quality according to the rotation of the X-axis direction in the abdominal CT scan, and to find ways to reduce the exposure dose. The phantom was scanned by rotating in the X-axis direction at 0, 5, 10, and 15 degrees, respectively. The CTDIvol value, HU, noise, and signal-to-noise ratio were measured at each rotation. ANOVA analysis was performed using the SPSSWIN (ver 19.0) program. The radiation exposure dose was 5.44mGy, 5.70mGy, 5.98mGy and 6.38mGy at 0, 5, 10 and 15 degrees, respectively. HU, noise, and signal-to-noise ratio were not statistically significant. In the CT scan, if the patient is located in the isocenter of the gantry aperture and there is no rotation in the X-axis direction, the exposure dose is reduced.

For driver's convenience, the ACC(Adaptive Cruise Control) requires a system which determines the direction of vehicles and controls the vehicle to keep the distance among the automobiles constant. This paper describes the microstrip array antennas designed to operate at 24 GHz, and used as a direction indicator of moving vehicles. 8${\times}$2 transmit array antenna with wide beamwidth, 8${\times}$4 receive center array antenna, and two 8${\times}$8 receive array antennas with narrow beamwidth were designed and fabricated. Measurement results for the arrays showed that the azimuthal beamwidth is 50$^{\circ}$and the gain is 16.7 dBi for the transmit array antenna. For the receive array antenna, the center, the left, and the right array antenna have beamwidths of 20$^{\circ}$, 13$^{\circ}$, 13$^{\circ}$respectively, and have gains of more than 20 dBi. The left and right array antenna have the beam tilt angle of ${\pm}$18$^{\circ}$. The measured radiation patterns showed a good agreement with the simulated patterns, and the designed array antennas are suitable fur detecting 3 directions of the vehicle within the scan angle area.

The human body, which is composed of concave and convex curvatures, makes it difficult to transfer into 2D patterns directly from 3D data. In previous studies. Jeong, et al.(2004) suggested the block method was fester and easier when dealing with the triangular patches of male's upper dress form. Although the block method is useful to make a pattern, the information(area, length, etc.) from a 2D pattern would be different depending on the direction of the block method. As a result horizontal and diagonal block methods were suggested as optimal methods for 2D tight-fitting patterns. These block methods were closer to the original area of the 3D scan data than the vertical block method. The total area of the 2D pattern obtained by the horizontal and diagonal block methods showed little differences. In case of the horizontal and diagonal block methods, the total error of the 2D pattern area ranged from $0.01\%\~0.25\%$. In comparing the length of the 2D pattern with that of the 3D scan data, the obtained 2D pattern was $0.1\~0.2cm$ shorter than the 3D scan data, which was within the acceptable range of errors in making clothes. 3D space distribution images between the body surface and the experimental clothing were also measured and $3\%$ enlargement of the original pattern was verified as the adequate adjustment.
Well-fitting riding breeches provide a comfortable ride. Horse-riding breeches should fit the lower body with patches located on the inside of hip and knees to prevent tears and slips. This study provides information about the fit of women's breeches using 3D human body scan data wearing commercially available two breeches according to posture. To get information about breeches fit, we measured the angle of waist line, the length, and the area of the breeches fit on four 20's women. This research showed the problem which was down for waist back line in the case of the horseback riding pose. The back waistline of the riding breeches should be raised compared to the front waistline; subsequently, an increased waistline angle results in less back waistline decrease. The breeches have plenty of length from back waist to crotch so the breech fit can be improved. The thigh circumference increased when riding in the front; therefore, good elasticity of the weft direction of the fabric is recommended. The length increase and the peripheral increase of the front knee significantly increased the surface area of the knee; consequently, knee patch material should be a two-way elastic fabric in all directions to enhance comfort according to riding motion.

In this paper, the design technique of the wide swath TOPS(Terrain Observation by Progressive Scan) imaging mode is introduced. The TOPS mode overcomes the scalloping limitations imposed by ScanSAR mode by steering the antenna pattern along track direction during the acquisition of a burst. This paper reports the operation concept of TOPS imaging and mode design result to extract the SAR operational parameters. Finally, several analyzed results such as IRF(Impulse Response Function), NESZ(Noise Equivalent Sigma Zero) and DTAR(Distributed Target Ambiguity Ratio) are presented.

Reactive or unstable adsorbates are often difficult to study spectroscopically. They may have, for instance, resonance states lying close to the Fermi level, inducing them to desorb or decompose by the probe itself, low-energy tunneling electrons. In order to overcome this limitation, we developed a novel method, which we call x-ramp scan. The method sweeps the bias voltage, with the simutaneous scan along the imaging direction, in a constant current mode. This mapping yields the tip-height variation as a function of bias, or Z(V), at nominally always fresh surface. We applied this method to the investigation of methanol-induced molecular features, attributed to methoxy, found on NiAl(110) surface. These were produced by methanol molecules deposited by a pulse injection method onto the metallic surface. Our study shows adsorbed methoxy are very reactive to the bias voltage, rendering the standard spectroscopy useless. Our new x-ramp scan shows that the decomposition of adsorbates occurs at the sample bias of 3.63 V, and proceeds with the lifetime of a few milliseconds. The details of the method will be provided at the discussion.
A new MR angiography technique using a composite sequence for the suppression of static sample signals is proposed and verified with experiments. When the composite [$90^{\circ}-{\tau}-180^{\circ}-2{\tau}-180^{\circ}-{\tau}$] sequence is applied, the large signal from the static sample is sufficiently suppressed but the signal from fresh inflow sample of which amplitude. is observed without suppression. These properties are appropriate for angiographic applications. In this paper, a modified line scan method (Block line scan angiography) incorporated with the composite [$90^{\circ}-{\tau}-180^{\circ}-2{\tau}-180^{\circ}-{\tau}$] sequence is used to obtain flow-only images, i.e., angiograms. The block line scan method improves the resolution in the flow-direction at the expense of imaging time. With the composite sequence, there is no need for subtraction procedure as in the most conventional angiographic methods. Experimental results for a phantom and a normal volunteer with KAIS 2.0 Tesla MRI system are shown.
The movement patterns of fish aggregations swimming freely near artificial reefs on August 24, 2006, at Suyeong Man, Busan, Korea, were acoustically investigated and analyzed. Acoustic surveys were conducted using a 70kHz split-beam echo sounder, 330 kHz side-scan sonar and a 310 kHz imaging sonar. Algorithms for tracking the movement of fish aggregations swimming in response to artificial reefs were developed. The travel direction and the swimming speed for two aggregations of fish were estimated from the trajectory orientations of echo responses recorded by the imaging sonar. The first group was floating just above the reef structure, while remaining in the midwater column, and the second group was swimming through and around artificial reefs near the seabed. The mean swimming speed was estimated to be 0.40 m/s for the midwater fish aggregation and 0.17 m/s for the bottom aggregation close to artificial reefs. These results suggest that the swimming behavior of fish aggregations passing close to artificial reefs near the seabed displayed a slower moving pattern than fish floating just above the reef structure in the midwater column.
