The pitch of Korean musical scales and intervals were calculated with the method of a One Third More and Less, that described at the AcHacKueBum. In this study, the standardized Peelee have been made and its sound frequencies were measured. The measured sound frequencies uniformly played agree well with the Korean musical scales.

SEM, stereo-microscope, XRD, scale-removal experiment were used for the study of mineralogical characteristics and possibilities of removal and depress of scales in water pipe. Scales are mostly composed mainly of iron minerals with minor Si and Ca containing minerals. This experimental study showed that the combination of Mg and brass was most effective on removing scales.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of Seo Dongil's voice technique on voice quality in patient with adductor spasmodic dysphonia. One patient participated in the study. The subject was assessed acoustically (Ave Fo, Ave Int, percent speech time, percent silence time, percent voice time, percent voiceless time) and perceptually (GRBAS scales) in the first and last session. Dr. Speech (version 4.0, Tiger-DRS) was used to compare acoustic parameters of pre-and post-treatment. Seo Dongil's voice technique consisted of relaxation, breathing exercise and phonation exercise. The results were as follows: First, Seo Dongil's voice technique tented to be effective on decreasing voice break and voice stoppage in patient with adductor spasmodic dysphonia. Second, GRBAS scales showed that Seo Dongil's voice technique was effective on improving voice quality of patient with adductor spasmodic dysphonia.

A gobiid fish , Istigobius hoshinonis (Tanaka) is described from one specimen collected at Hanrim-p, Cheju-do , on August 2, 1986. This is the first definitive record of the species in Korean waters. This species is distinguish from its congeners by the combination of the following characters ; uppermost pectoral fin ray unbranched, 12 or more predorsal scales, 7-9transverse scales and no scales on cheek and operculum. Pidan-mang-dug' is proposed as Korean name of this species.

The Ni-based superalloy, Inconel 713, was oxidized at $800{\sim}1100^{\circ}C$ for 50 and 100 hours in air. It displayed excellent oxidation resistance, forming a few micrometer-thick scales. The major scale was ${\alpha}-Al_2O_3$. Other scales formed were $TiO_2$, $NiAl_2O_4$ and $Cr_2O_3$. Generally, uniform oxidation occurred over the alloy surface, resulting in the formation of ${\alpha}-Al_2O_3$ with and without $Cr_2O_3$. Other oxides such as $TiO_2$ and $NiAl_2O_4$ sometimes also formed. Locally, nodular oxidation occurred at the nodules that consisted of diverse alloying elements. The scales were adherent at $800^{\circ}C$. However, they spalled a little at $900{\sim}1100^{\circ}C$.

The purpose of this study is to examine the utility of the modified form of CTS2(the revised Conflict Tactic Scales) for use of children on university students fo Korea. To attain this purpose, we modified Straus's CTS2(the revised Conflict Tactic Scale) for use of children. It consist of negotiation subscale, physical assault subscale, psychological aggression subscale and injury subscale without sexual coercion subscale. The subjects consisted of 288 students from 19 to 24 of age. As results of analysis(correlation, factor analysis, Cronbach' α), reliability of subscales of CTS2 range from .83 to .98 and total reliability of CTS2 is .93 And there are evidences of construct validity(the convergent validity and discriminant validity) fo CTS2. we examine the prevalence of wife abuse behavior in our subjects' parents. There are the high prevalence of psychological aggression(75.7%) and physical assault(43.4%)

We present numerical simulations of inverse energy cascade and in driven three-dimensional (3D) electron magnetohydrodynamic (EMHD) turbulence. It has been known that inverse energy cascade only occurs in two-dimensional (2D) turbulence. However, we demonstrate that inverse energy cascade occurs in 3D driven EMHD turbulence. When magnetic helicity is injected on a small-scale, magnetic energy goes up to larger scales. The energy spectrum clearly shows inverse energy cascade. At the same time, magetic helicity spectrum also shows that the helicity goes up to larger scales. We obviously confirm inverse energy cascade. Net magnetic helicity for scales larger than the driving scale shows linear growth, and magnetic energy shows non-linear growth. On the other hand, when we drived turbulence without magnetic helicity, we do not observe inverse energy cascade.

The Early Life Problems Scale consisting of 5-point rating for each item was prepared from the results of a questionnaire of 163 items with two sub scales constructed on the basis of Diagnostic Classification: 0-3. Respondents were 361 parents with newborn to 3-year-old children (197 boys and 164 girls). Hypothetical constructs of mental and developmental problems were identified by exploratory factor analysis. The resulting 22 factors explained 58.5% and 72.9% of the common variance for scales I and II, respectively. The rotation procedure yielded 134 items of which 118 had factor loadings of more than .30. Face validity was obtained on the basis of 18 items. The coefficients of correlation between and within factors suggest that there are interrelationships. The reliability of total scales by Cronbach's Alpha was relatively high.

The oxide scales formed on Ni-18W(at.%) coating that was electrodeposited on steel were investigated using XRD, SEM and TEM. The oxide scales consisted mainly of an outer NiO layer, and an inner thick ($NiWO_4$+NiO) mixed layer. The unoxidized coating below the oxide scale was rich in Ni and depleted in W, owing to the consumption of Wand the resultant Ni enrichment. The oxidation resistance of Ni-18W coating was poorer than that of the TiN coating, due to the formation of nonprotective NiWO$_4$. During oxidation, Ni and the substrate element of Fe diffused outward, while oxygen inward, according to the concentration gradients.

Objective: This study aimed to construct an overview of health-related quality of life (HRQOL) scales for application in studies of traditional Korean medicine (TKM). Methods: We analyzed all HRQOL scales from the PROQOLID web site (www.proqolid.org) regarding to classification, application purposes, and translation to Korean version. We also searched clinical studies focused on "Quality of Life" using TKM. Results: A total of 660 HRQOL instruments were analyzed; 99 were for general condition while 559 were disease-specific. Twenty clinical studies for TKM were conduced using HRQOL scales. Conclusion: The adaptation of the international HRQOL instrument is strongly recommended in TKM-associated clinical study, and development of a TKM-specific HRQOL scale is needed for globalization of TKM.
