A Comparison of the analysis of the green and roast coffee of Arabica and Robusta compositions and regular instant coffee has been investigated by chromatography. The coffee oil were obtained by extracting the green and roast coffee with ethyl ether by soxhlet methood. Instant coffee samples were accurately weighted into 100ml beaker (ca. 0.5g regular coffee and 1.5g decaffeinated coffee) and add ca. 50ml water, heat and boil, remove from heat, and mechanically stried ca. 15min. and filtered of one sample and another sample were without filtrated and proceed with liquid chromatographic separation. The fatty acid compositions of green and roast coffee were compared by gas liquid chromatography and general chemical compositions of sample were analysed. Some similarities between green and roast coffee fatty acids were found in the case of green and roast coffee of both kinds acid methyl esters. They contained stearic, oleic, linoleic, and unknown fatty acid, and palmitic ana linoleic acid were rich.

This study on the incineration ash and sintering pellet from sewage sludge was carried out to evaluate the possibility of recycling in sewage sludge disposal. The samples used in this experiment were raw sewage sludge, its incineration ash, and sintering pellet. The characteristics of the three sample types were identified using X-ray diffraction(XRD), X-ray fluorescence(XRF), atomic absorption spectroscopy(AAS), and inductively coupled plasma spectroscopy(ICP). The chemical compositions of all three sample types were similar in their clay component, however, the sewage sludge had a high content of organic materials. From an analysis of the mineral content of the three sample types, the conversion of their compositions was found to be relative to temperature. Accordingly, incineration ash and sintering pellet both have potential for use as a functional construction material.
In this experiment, post-nitriding treatment was performed at $400^{\circ}C$ on AISI 316 stainless steel which was plasma carburized previously at $430^{\circ}C$ for 15 hours. Plasma nitriding was implemented on AISI 316 stainless steel at various gas compositions (25% $N_2$, 50% $N_2$ and 75% $N_2$) for 4 hours. Additionally, during post nitriding Ar gas was used with $H_2$ and $N_2$ to observe the improvement of surface properties. After treatment, the behavior of the hybrid layer was investigated by optical microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and micro-hardness testing. Potentiodynamic polarization test was also used to evaluate the corrosion resistance of the samples. Meanwhile, it was found that the surface hardness increased with increasing the nitrogen gas content. Also small percentage of Ar gas was introduced in the post nitriding process which improved the hardness of the hardened layer but reduced the corrosion resistance compared with the carburized sample. The experiment revealed that AISI 316L stainless steel showed better hardness and excellent corrosion resistance compared with the carburized sample, when 75% $N_2$ gas was used during the post nitriding treatment. Also addition of Ar gas during post nitriding treatment degraded the corrosion resistance of the sample compared with the carburized sample.

This study was carried out to investigate the compositions of free sugars, lipids, and nonvolatile organic acids in parts of omija. The major components of free sugars in each part of omija were fructose and glucose. The contents of those were similar in fruits and endocarps, however, the content of glucose was 1.5 times as much as that of fructose in seeds. The content of lipids in endocarps was 2.4 times as much as that in seeds, and major composition of lipids was neutral lipid. In the contents of nonvolatile organic acids, the content of citric acid that content was 61 to 68% depend on each part of sample was highest among other components, and that of malic acid being 25 to 30% was followed. The contents of nonvolatile organic acids of water extract were 74.5, 55.9, and 69.2% as high as those of original sample in fruits, endocarps, and seeds, respectively. The content of oxalic acid in seeds was lower than that of it in original sample.
The changes in the proximate compositions, lipid classes, and fatty acids of muscle and dripped lipids, and the amino acid compositions and mineral content were studied in Spanish mackerel Scomberomorus niphonius muscle cooked using a frying pan, oven, and microwave oven. The moisture content was high in the raw sample (65.7%) and decreased with cooking, decreasing the most with frying pan method (54.5%). Conversely, the protein, lipid and ash contents increased significantly with cooking (P<0.05). The dripped lipid content from the cooked muscles was the highest with the frying pan sample (0.81%) and was approximately half this level in the oven (0.46%) and microwave oven (0.34%) samples. The percentage of non-polar lipid (NL) in the total lipid content exceeded 95% for the muscle lipids (13.9-17.6 g/100 g sample) and 99% for the dripped lipids (0.34-0.81 g/100 g sample). The prominent fatty acids were 18:1n-9, 16:0, 22:6n-3, 16:1n-7, and 20:5n-3 in the muscle and dripped lipids. The frying pan muscle lipid contained high levels of saturates and monoenes such as 16:0, 18:0, and 18:1n-9, and low levels of polyenes compared with other muscle lipids. The fatty acid compositions of the dripped lipids were similar with all three cooking methods. The prominent total amino acids in Spanish mackerel muscle were glutamic acid, aspartic acid, lysine, leucine, and arginine, and their proportions were similar (45.49-45.82%) in all samples. The potassium and phosphorous contents increased significantly with cooking (P<0.05), and while no heavy metals were detected in any sample. These results indicate that the change in nutritional components, especially the lipid content, was lower with the microwave oven and oven methods compared with the frying pan method.
The compositions of health functional food products (HFFP; 18 products) containing gamma linolenic acid (GLA; $C_{18:3}$, n-6) and omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA) were investigated. The contents of index components (especially, GLA and omega-3) in HFFPs were monitored by GC-FID analysis. Among the GLA products (sample No. 1~8), the content of GLA in most samples (except sample No.6) ranged from 8.04 to 9.98 g/100 g. These results were suitable for the reference standard (more 7.0 g/100 g) of HFF. In the omega-3 products (sample No. 10 and 15) derived from harp seal oil (HSO), the total contents of EPA and DHA were 14.21-15.98 g/100 g, respectively. These values were suitable for the reference standard (more 12.0 g/100 g) of HFF. Besides, among the omega-3 products (sample No.9, 11~14, 16~18) derived from fish oil, the total content of EPA and DHA ranged from 24.11 to 31.20 g/100 g. These results were suitable for the reference standard (more 18.0 g/100 g) of HFF. In the result of TLC analysis, the HFFPs of 18 were mainly composed of triacylglycerols (TAGs). The content of trans fatty acid in 18 HFFPs was detected in less than 0.30 g/100 g. For the detection of trans fatty acid, $^1H$-NMR (600 MHz) can be used because chemical shift of trans fatty acid was observed at 5.3 ppm in this study.
Pretreatment of cellulosic biomass is necessary before enzymatic saccharification and fermentation. Extrusion is a well established process in food industries and it can be used as a physicochemical treatment method for cellulosic biomass. Aqueous ammonia soaking treatment at mild temperatures ranging from 60 to $80^{\circ}C$ for longer reaction times has been used to preserve most of the cellulose and hemicellulose in the biomass. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of extrusion treatment on aqueous ammonia soaking method. Extrusion was performed with miscanthus sample conditioned to 2mm of particle size and 20% of moisture content at $200^{\circ}C$ of barrel temperature and 175rpm of screw speed. And then aqueous ammonia soaking was performed with 15%(w/w) ammonia solution at $60^{\circ}C$ for 1, 2, 4, 8, 12 hours on the extruded and raw miscanthus samples respectively. In the combined extrusion-soaking treatment, most compositions removal occurred within 1~2 hours and on a basis of 1 hour soaking treatment values, cellulose was recovered about 85% and other compositions, including hemicellulose, are removed about 50% from extruded miscanthus sample. The combined extrusion-soaking treated and soaking only treated samples were subjected to enzymatic hydrolysis using cellulase and ${\beta}$-glucosidase. The enzymatic digestibility value of combined extrusion-2 hours soaking treated sample was comparable to 12 hours soaking only treated sample. It means that extrusion treatment can shorten the conventional long reaction time of aqueous ammonia soaking. The findings suggest that the combination of extrusion and soaking is a promising pretreatment method to solve both problems for no lignin removal of extrusion and long reaction time of aqueous ammonia soaking.
This research examined the effect, which it follows in particle size distribution change of CaHPO$_4$ㆍ2$H_{2}O$ (DCPD). We used two kinds of compositions; tetracalcium phosphate (TTCP)/dicalcium phosphate dihydrate (DCPD) composition and $\alpha$-tricalcium phosphate ($\alpha$-TCP)TTCP/DCPD composition. As the result, the mean particle size of the DCPD decreased, the setting tine shortened at all compositions. The reference powder (DR), which did not milling, showed about 2 times strength value compared with other milling sample. Especially, the compressive strength of 60 : 20 : 20 sample (DR(do$_{0.5}$)=12.08 $\mu\textrm{m}$) after curing 7 days in simulated body fluid solution was 40$\pm$0.5 MPa, which was the highest. This resulted from the packing density at $\alpha$-TCP/TTCP/DCPD combination.
