The purpose of this study is to understand and verify the incentives as an important market environment and to help consumers use them effectively, and consequently to improve the consumer welfare. This study examined the representative incentive, the sales promotions which can effect on the consumer decision making process and current issues of them. For the purpose, a coffee specialty store was hypothesized and the subjects were 20∼30 years old, since the sales promotions can be more effective toward the younger consumers making their decisions low-involvement goods and services. The conclusions can be summarized as follows; Consumers understand the advantages and disadvantages of sales promotion very well, and use them rationally and usefully to maximize their satisfaction. the sales promotions act as incentives in the all steps of decision making processes. Generally, consumers prefer to get things at a good price, so in this survey, the discount coupons and the point accumulative membership had more effect than others. Consumers pointed out controversial issues of the sales promotions as follows: the sales promotions could bring about cost rising and unnecessary and/or impulse buying, and stir up speculative motivation. These are common serious problems in the sales promotions. The sales promotions are very useful tools in promoting sales but not fundamental in the long run. Marketers and manufacturers should keep it in mind that the best way to satisfy the consumers is to keep all things in good quality and moderate price.
The purpose of this study is to find out the promotion methods for successful management of 'the fashion saho internet shopping mall' with a small capital. This study analyze the research reports, the news items, the documents on the internet shopping mall and data on promotion method which are offered by the hosting companies of the internet shopping mall like 'Cafe 24', 'Make shop', 'Whoismall' and the promotion consulting companies like 'Whoisad', 'Naver keyword shop'. And also analyze the data that interviewed the administrator of internet shopping mall and directly observed the famous internet shopping mall sites. Generally speaking, the promotion mix, marketing communication program can classify 'advertisement', 'publicity', 'personal selling', and 'sales promotion'. This study analyze the research materials on the basis of advertisement, publicity, personal selling, and sales promotion. The result are as follows. 1. The promotion methods at the stage of information the shopping mall site to the consumer are advertisement, and publicity. ${\bigcirc}$ The methods of advertisement are 'searching engine registration', 'advertisement of key word', 'advertisement of overture', 'advertisement of banner', 'advertisement cooperation marketing', 'advertisement of e-mail'. ${\bigcirc}$ The methods of publicity are using 'cafe', 'blog', 'Naver information site', 'community bulletin board', 'the fashion magazine or a press report' and 'cosponsorship'. 2. The main promotion methods at the stage of inducing the purchase are 'personal selling', and various 'sales promotion'. ${\bigcirc}$ 'Personal selling' at the shopping mall have an effect on the communication at bulletin board over the internet and the telephone. ${\bigcirc}$ 'Sales promotion' are attempted by 'VMD', 'deposit system', 'sale', etc.
Sales promotion is defined as the short-term incentive to encourage the purchase or sale of products and services. Retailers conduct a variety of sales promotion to encourage the purchase or sale of products and services. It is often used to induce the purchase of customers in short term and to improve the relationship with customers in the long term. Many previous studies about the effect of price discount SP on increase in sales and image improvement have conducted. But the study of non-price promotion, especially SP with 'Gifts', meanwhile, has been seldom researched. This study is to investigate the effect of the Gift SP conducted by retailers on the customer evaluation of the product and its Gifts. This study is to investigate the effect of 'Gifts', among the non-price promotion, on the customer evaluation. First of all, previous studies about the effect (-) of Sp with 'Gifts' on the customer evaluation of the product and its Gifts, and the factors that offset the negative effect of SP with 'Gifts' on quality perception are to examined. In this study, additionally, the summary of the study based on the previous studies and the research subject in the future are to be presented. Firstly, to examine the previous researches on the effect of SP which retailers conduct on the increased sales and or enhanced image, price discount SP has attracted a lot of attention as a research subject but researches on non-price sales promotion, particularly on SP with gift have seldom conducted as a research subject. Secondly, in the previous studies relevant to Price Discount SP, the long-term negative (-) effect of the target product or brand of SP has been studied. However, a few researches on the long-term negative (-) effect of SP with gift have been conducted. Thirdly, it might be brand affinity and purchase limit that buffered the negative (-) effect on the perceived quality of SP with gift which retailers had conducted. In spite of various studies conducted by many researchers, each study have discussed the consequences under certain circumstances and integrated results of research have not been in progress. It may be the research issues left to us to clearly identify the psychological mechanism of consumers until the effect of SP happens in order to theorize SP and to present a practical and useful suggestion.

Purpose: This study aims at exploring and understanding the effect of four independent variables related to dairy retail marketing and distribution (deep freezers, promotions, company support and distributor-retailer relationship) and one moderating variable Covid-19 lockdown on sales of dairy product during the Covid 19 pandemic situation. Research design and methodology: Personal interviews and door-to-door surveys and promotional tools were designed to publicise and collect data from the retailers. The sale data before, during and after promotion activity were all recorded and evaluated to draw an inferential conclusion. Factor analysis and multiple regression methods were adopted to analyses the data collected. Results: The research shows that four out of the five factors studied was found having significant impact on dairy retail sales. The highest impact on sales was contributed by promotions, secondly by the deep freezer impact followed by distributor-retailer relationship during the study period and lastly but not the least due to influence of Covid-19 lockdown. Conclusions: The study contributes to the body of knowledge in cold chain distribution process through utilization of right mix of tools and tactics for effective marketing and distribution of dairy products in developing countries especially during a pandemic situation.
The purpose of this study was to investigate factors influencing sales of health functional foods by door-to-door saleswomen. A total of 450 women who worked as door-to-door salespersons in Seoul were enrolled. The survey questionnaire was composed of five parts as follows: general characteristics, factors related with door-to-door sales process, task education, competency required for door-to-door salespersons, and customer relationship beliefs. The survey was conducted in October 2011. Finally, data on 302 subjects were statistically analyzed using the SPSS 17.0 package program. Reason for sales of health functional foods (p<0.01), time required for sales promotion (p<0.001), difficulties during sales of health functional foods (p<0.05), satisfaction of task education (p<0.01), and failure of salesperson's memory as problems of task education (p<0.01) were significantly associated with sales of health functional foods. However, means of sales promotion, frequency and time of task education, and competency required for door-to-door salespersons were not significantly related with sales of health functional foods. Customer relationship beliefs did not show significant association with sales of health functional foods either. In conclusion, certain factors were associated with sales of health functional foods by door-to-door saleswomen. These results provide an understanding for sales of door-to-door health functional foods and provide basic information for preparation of task education for health functional food saleswomen and marketing.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate the relationship of occupational stress and psychosocial stress to health promotion behaviors depending on characteristics of female office workers and emotional labor workers for sales. Methods: A survey of 207 female service workers engaging in sales of cosmetics in major department stores and 149 females working in the offices of cosmetics companies was carried out using a self-administered questionnaire. Results: It showed a significant difference in job demand and insufficient job control which are sub-domains of stress. The percentage of emotional laborers exposed to a high risk of psychosocial stress was higher than office workers. In office workers, occupational stress stemmed from insufficient job control and low reward of work was significantly related to psychosocial stress. But in emotional labor workers, stress from job insecurity, and organizational system were added. The relevant factors that affect health promotion behaviors were type of occupational stress, psychosocial stress, marital status, educational level and working career. Conclusions: Occupational stress and psychosocial stress were closely associated with health promotion behaviors. It was suggested that the development of health promotion programs which reduce the stress in female office and emotional labor workers.
The purpose of this study was to identify and to compare the fashion show effectiveness between consumers and sponsors. The data were analyzed by using frequency, factor analysis, cross-tab, t-test and Kruskal Wallis with utilizing SPSS for Windows. The results of this study were as follow: 1. There was a favorable attitude towards fashion show itself but negative attitude towards possibility of purchasing clothes through fashion show. 2. Possibility of purchasing clothes through fashion show was very rare. Only 7.3% of consumers showed the experience of purchasing clothes through the show. 3. There were significant differences in the perception of watching fashion show purpose between consumers and sponsors. Consumers considered fashion show as more entertaining factor but sponsors considered show as more informative and sales promotion factor. 4. There was different recognition about purpose of having fashion show between consumers and sponsors. Sponsors utilized fashion show for the sales promotion medium but consumers recognized the fashion show as publicity for the company. 5. Sponsors showed more favorable attitude towards fashion show than consumers group.

This research seeks to find out how to provide satisfaction to consumers. The aim is to analyze and test empirically the effect of price and sales promotion on customer satisfaction that is mediated by service quality. This study uses primary data; questionnaires are distributed to 100 consumers at the Jingga Project boutique. The sampling technique uses simple random sampling. The data were collected using a questionnaire measured by a Likert scale with analysis tools using Warp PLS 7.0. The results showed that the variables price and sales promotion have a positive effect on customer satisfaction. Furthermore, the mediating variable, namely, service quality, is proven to be able to indirectly mediate the effect of price and sales promotion on customer satisfaction. In line with the marketing theory, which states that customer satisfaction is the feeling of pleasure or disappointment of someone who appears after comparing the performance (results) of the product against the expected performance. From the results of this study, it is clear that the variables price and sales promotion significantly affect customer satisfaction, as well as service quality, which is the mediating variable in this study. Service quality indirectly or partially mediate the effect of price on customer satisfaction.
This study examines whether product promotions are influenced by the market standing of promoted products, using social comparison theory (upward versus downward comparisons). It is hypothesized that people in possession of a product that is inferior to the one on promotion express less discomfort about the promotion and use the information more than do people in possession of a superior product. People in possession of an inferior product may also exhibit more positive attitudes toward the product on promotion, but may show poorer attitudes toward their own possessed product than do people with a superior product. This is because people in an inferior socioeconomic position show a strong motivation to improve themselves through upward social comparison, whereas people in a superior socioeconomic position maintain a strong sense of superiority in downward social comparison, which suggests strong endowment effects. The findings mainly support the hypotheses, and suggest that sales promotions are more effective for people who currently own an inferior product, but not for people with a superior product, who have a strong motivation to maintain their sense of superiority. The findings also imply that, in order to attract consumers in the superior market, managers for inferior products need to turn to methods other than sales promotions, which may include introducing a new brand or sub-brand, or emphasizing luxury and modern features. In contrast, managers for superior products may emphasize product functions and attributes of superior products in their promotions, as people with inferior products may consider such information as benefits of the superior products.
The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships between shopping styles, promotion usage behaviors, and consequential switching behaviors. Specifically, it examined: 1) the effects of shopping styles on promotion usage and switching behaviors; and 2) the effects of promotion usage on switching behaviors. A total of 378 responses collected from a questionnaire survey were analyzed. Multiple regression analyses showed that loyalty, fashion prone, brand prone, brand prone, value prone, and hedonic shopping prone styles among the 7 shopping styles affected promotion usage behaviors, and brand prone, hedonic shopping prone, and price prone styles affected switching behaviors. Also, sales and sweepstakes among the 6 promotion usage behaviors affected switching behaviors.
