기업연금보험상품 선호도에 대한 종업원 속성의 영향 (The Impact of Employee's Attributes on Corporate Pension Insurance Products Preference)

  • Purpose - The primary objective of this study is to investigate the impact of employee characteristics on employees' preference towards corporate pension products. This study can provide a guidance for maximization of benefits for employees and their affiliated corporation. Employee characteristics include average length of labour, wage system of annual salary, age, types of interest rates and size of corporation. Existing research generally concentrate on vitalizations of corporate pension product raising an imperfection, improvements, tax benefit analysis and legal consideration. Thus, this study intensively analyses the effect of employee attributes on firms' decision for corporate pension products, such as DB(defined benefit) and DC(defined contribution) type. Research design, data, and methodology - The data were collected using self-administrated questionnaire survey on corporate pension products from CEOs or HR directors 250 foreign-invested companies', purchasing pension plans in practice with domestic financial trustees (insurance companies, banks and security companies). Hypotheses testing was conducted using Logistic Regression analysis with SPSS/PC+ 21.0. Results - The findings of the study are as follows. Employees with the long length of labour are more likely to have DB plan; more likely to prefer DC plan with the dividend distribution product regarding the types of interest rate. SMEs(less than 100 employees) are more likely to select DC plan whereas high fluctuation in wage with annual salary has no impacts. In addition, the ages has no significant effect on the preference. Conclusions - This study has examined with the empirical testing that employees' variable attributes and qualities are one of the vital factors for corporation pension plan selection. Currently, majority employees are highly likely to join DB plan and Defined interest types. Corporation with less than 10 employees prefer IRP scheme while most of corporation are intended to join DC plan. In a very near future, corporation more than 300 employees will be required to purchase mandatory plan under national regulation. For maximization of employees' contentment to corporation pension insurance and for complementing the flaws of existing plans, the future studies shall also research in a perspective of employee benefit.

약학대학 졸업예정자의 고용유지성향과 역량중심교육의 만족도 (The Employment Retention Propensity and Satisfaction with Competency-based Education of Pharmacy Students Prior to Graduation at Medical Institutions: A Survey-based Study)

  • Background: Recently, the employment retention rate (ERR) of hospital pharmacists has been decreasing and there are difficulties in conducting competency-based education (CBE) for pharmacy students. However, there is limited research on the impact of hospital pharmacists ERR on the quality of CBE. Therefore, this study aims to determine the relationship between the employment retention propensity (ERP) and the satisfaction with CBE of pharmacy students for patient consultation on the safe medication use. Method: A survey study was conducted using survey questionnaires of 5th year pharmacy school students who completed Introductory Pharmacy Practice Education from 2023 to 2024. Students' perceptions of their ERP before graduation and satisfaction with CBE were assessed. This survey questions consisted of a 5-point Lickert scale and multiple-choice questions, expressed as percentages including multiple responses. Results: Among 57 students, 82.5% (n=47) responded. The most important determinant of employment retention was work environment (66.0%), followed by fair salary (59.6%). Compared to the satisfaction with patient consultation education on the safe medication use at tertiary hospitals, the satisfaction at general hospitals was higher (satisfaction: 66.7% at tertiary hospitals versus 80.0% at general hospitals). Overall satisfaction with the quality of CBE over time tended to gradually decline along with a decrease in pharmacists employment retention [satisfaction: 83% in 2019 vs 68% in 2024]. Conclusion: Employment retention was positively related to work environment and salary level. Further research is needed to establish the relationship between students' satisfaction with the CBE and the ERP for the future pharmacists.

임상치과위생사의 임파워먼트에 관한 연구 (A study on Empowerment of the Clinical Dental Hygienists)

  • 치과위생사가 지각하고 있는 임파워먼트 정도와 병원조직 내에서 업무성과에 영향을 미치는 요인들간의 관계를 파악하여 치과의료 발전에 도움이 될 기초자료를 제공하고자 2010년 3월22일부터 4월 30일까지 서울에 소재하고 있는 일부 치과의료기관을 임의추출하여 재직하고 있는 여자 치과위생사 256명을 분석대상으로 하였다. 설문지를 이용하여 일반적 특성, 임파워먼트에 관한 자료를 수집하였고, 수집된 모든 자료는 SPSS 12.0 통계프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 연구대상자의 임파워먼트 수준은 3.63이었고, 근무경력, 연봉이 많을수록 임파워먼트가 높아 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다(p<0.05). 2. 교육 상담업무(p<0.01), 정규직(p<0.05)에서 임파워먼트가 높았다. 3. 역량성과 연령, 근무경력, 연봉은 상관관계가 있었다(p<0.01). 4. 자기결정성과 연령(p<0.05), 근무경력(p<0.01), 연봉(p<0.05)은 유의한 상관성이 있었다. 5. 회귀분석 결과, 임파워먼트와 유의한 관련성이 있는 요인은 근무경력(p<0.05)이었다. 결론적으로 직무관련 치과위생사의 임파워먼트는 근무경력, 연봉, 교육 상담업무, 정규직에서 높게 나타났다. 이로써 치과조직은 효율적인 인력관리를 통해 조직의 역량과 효과성을 높여야하며, 특히 치과위생사가 전문직으로서의 독자적인 의사결정이나 역할수행을 통해 스스로 임파워먼트를 증진시킬 수 있는 리더십 훈련과 다양한 교육프로그램 개발이 마련되어야 할 것이다.

밭 관개의 계획용수량 및 시설용량의 정립에 관한 연구 -증발산량 실측에 의한 밭용수량의 추정에 관하여- (Study on the Establishment of Project Duty of Water and Facility Capacity in Upland Irrigation - On the Estimation of Duty of Water for the Upland Crops by the Measurement of Evapotranspiration -)

  • The evaportranspiration of upland crops was measured by four types of lysimeter and water consumption characteristics together with the optimum irrigation point by the crops was defind. Among the evapotranspiration estimation formulas, the constant of wind function in the modified Penman equation was corrected to agree with the meteorological conditions of Korea. The evapotranspiration of the crops in the project standard year was estimated according to the cropping system of the project area in Chungju, and from the estimated evapotras - spiration, net duty of water per one time and irrigation in tervals were investigated. The results obtained are summarized as follows: 1. The evapotranspiration of the same crop measured at the same plot was slightly different by the lysimetric methods, and among the four types of lysimeter, the accuracy of the floating lysimeter was the highest. 2. The yields among the watering treatments showed the significance of 5% in the expe- riment with red cabbage and Chinese cabbage, and significance of 1% in the crisphead lettuce, and the optimum irrigation point for the tested crops was defined ad pF 2.0 by the least squre difference test. 3. The evapotranspiration of the crops in the mid-season stage showed maximum among the growing stages, and the average daily evapotranspiration by the crops over the growing seasons of cabbage, crisphead lettuce, Chinese cabbage, summer cucumber, tornato, salary and autumn cucumber was 4.18mm, 4.77mm, 3.9qrnm, 5.68mnn, joonim, 4.26mm and 3.3qrnn, respectively. 4. From the investigated soil moisture extration pattern(SMEP) of the crisphead lettuce, cucumber and tomato, the proportion of the first layer in the initial stage showed over so%, and the SMEP of the lowest fourth layer during the late-season stage in the experiment cabbage and Chinese cabbage was 15.8% and 16.9, respectively, with showed that the root elongated th the lowest soil layer. 5. The total available moisture(TAM) of clay loam was 21.2-23.3mm and that of sandy loam was 16.1 - 19.0mm under the optimum irrigation point of pF. 2.0, and the total readily available moisture( TRAM) of the crops cultivated in the clay loam soil was larger than that cultivated in the sandy loam soil, and the TRAM during the mid-and late-season were larger than that of the inital and crop development stage. 6. The estimated evapotranspration by the corrected Pennam equation, whkh corrected the constant of the wind function in the modified Penman equation, was nearly agreed with the actually measured evaporanspiration of grass. 7. Among the several evaportranspiration estimation methods, the evapotranspiration es- timated by the corrected Pennam equation was closed to the actual evapotranspiration of reference crop (grass) evapotranspiration, therefore it is suggested to use the corrected Penman equation to determine the duty of water of corps. 8. The average crop coefficient (Kc) of cabbage by the corrected Penman equation was 0.94 and that of crisphead lettuce, summer cucumber, tomato, salary, Chinese cabbage and autumn cucumber was 1.07, 1.22, 1.02, 1.01, 1.35, 1.09, respectively 9. The estimated total evapotranspiration of cabbage in the project area( Chungju) by the corrected Penman equation was 223.9mm and that of crisphead lettuce, Chinese cabbage, summer cucumber, tomato, salary and auturun cucumber was 215.7mm, 205.9mm, 359.Omrn, 300.9mm, 332.lmm and 202.7mm, respectively. 10. The net duty of water per one time of the crops cultivated in the sandy loam soil, and the net duty of water per one time in the mid-season & late-season showed larger than that of the initial stage. 11. The shortest irrigation interval of cabbage in the project area was 4.2 days, and that of crisphead lettuce, Chinese cabbage, cucumber, tomato and salary was 1.2days, 2.3days, 1.8days, 2.2days and 2.7days, respectively.

병원 구성원들의 직종별 조직몰입의 영향요인에 관한 연구 (Factors affecting the Organizational Commitment of Industrial Accident Hospital Employees by Job Category)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics of socio-demographic, organizational culture, organizational conflict and organizational commitment, and to examine the interrelation of influential factors in the organizational commitment. The data for this study were collected through a self-administrated survey with a structured questionnaire to 1,027 subjects from several medical doctor staff members, nursing staff members, administration staff members, pharmacist, and technical expert of eleven hospitals. The data were collected by self-reporting questionnaire from July 29 to September 7, 2002. In this analysis frequency test, t-test, ANOVA, multiple regression were used. The main results of this research is as following; 1. According to socio-demographic characteristics the respondents' level of the organizational commitment was higher in a administration staff members than others, for males than females, and for employees aged more than forty, as working for longer time, and as higher level of the working position. 2. According to the organizational culture characteristics the progressive culture, affiliative culture, and task-focused culture among many types of organizational culture were moderately and positively correlated with the level of the organizational commitment while the hierarchical culture was negatively correlated. 3. According to the organizational conflict characteristics as the respondents who got less conflict experience in the organization, their level of the organizational commitment was higher. And, technical conflict experiences were expressed greater than hierarchical conflict experiences. 4. According to the job satisfaction characteristics as his or her satisfaction that is about the promotion, working itself, salary, and fellowship in the organizational was higher, the level of the organizational commitment was higher. The most important factor of the satisfactions was the fellowship among the respondents while the level of job satisfaction for the promotion and salary was average. 5. Overall, according to the result of Multiple Regression as older age and longer working hours, the level of the organizational commitment was higher and as a higher level of the satisfaction for the promotion, working itself, salary, and fellowship in the organization, it caused more effective factors for the organizational commitment. 6. According to the result of Multiple Regression for the doctor staff members in special hospitals rather than general hospitals the hierarchical culture and task focused culture was positively correlated with the satisfaction of working itself while hierarchical conflict factors in the organizational conflict characteristics was negatively correlated with the organizational commitment. For the nursing staff members the affiliative culture and the job satisfaction for the promotion, working itself, salary, and fellowship were positively correlated with the organizational commitment. For the administration staff members as the job satisfaction for the fellowship was positively correlated with the organizational commitment. For medical and pharmacy staff members as more working experience, correlation with the organizational commitment was positive. Besides, as he or she has a high perception of the affiliative culture, it caused statistically more effective factors for the organizational commitment. For the skill and technicians, male worker expressed greater organizational commitment in the organization than female worker. And also older age along with higher education also showed higher organizational commitment. Moreover, the job satisfaction for the fellowship was positively correlated with the organizational commitment. This study identified the major effective factors of the organizational commitment and analyzed the differences among the job category. In that respect, it is significant for the study to be able to provide a reference for managing hospital of industrial accident and organizational development. However, this study has a problem, which is not to identify a valuable model for examining the relationship between organizational factors such as organizational culture, conflict, satisfaction, and commitment. Therefore, further study is needed and strengthened in the field of organizational commitment for hospital for industrial accident.

Antecedents to the Job Satisfaction of Fashion Salesperson

  • In the fashion retail research, the role of fashion salesperson and their job satisfaction have been getting attentions. The purpose of this study was to investigate the elements affecting the job satisfaction of fashion salesperson. A hypothetical path model of job satisfaction of fashion salesperson was developed and tested. Empirical data were collected with a written survey instrument. Data were collected from 150 fashion salespersons during 2001 fall, and finally 101 responses were analyzed. As results of series of regression analysis, final job satisfaction model was identified. Job satisfaction of fashion salesperson was affected by subjective job aptitudity, salary, fashion product knowledge. fashion involvement, and work experience. Managerial implication and research limitation were discussed.

Reduction of Components in Cascaded Transformer Multilevel Inverter Using Two DC Sources

  • In this paper a novel cascaded transformer multilevel inverter is proposed. Each basic unit of the inverter includes two DC sources, single phase transformers and semiconductor switches. This inverter, which operates as symmetric and asymmetric, can output more number of voltage levels in the same number of the switching devices. Besides, the number of gate driving circuits is reduced, which leads to circuit size reduction and lower power consumption in the driving circuits. Moreover, several methods to determination of transformers turn ratio in proposed inverter are presented. Theoretical analysis, simulation results using MATLAB/SIMULINK and experimental results are provided to verify the operation of the suggested inverter.

Estimating the Home-Purchase Cost of Seoul Citizens

  • Seoul citizens are currently suffering from high housing price. Home prices have risen more rapidly than salaries so owning a housing unit (apartment, condominium, or single-family home) in Seoul is becoming more difficult than ever. Therefore, this research examines the behavior of average Seoul citizen in owning housing unit in Seoul, Korea, particularly in terms of the length of time required to afford a house unit. This research estimates that it will take about 18.75 years in maximum after getting a job (12.75 years after purchasing the housing unit) to own housing unit in Seoul that is currently valued at $300,000 where the growth rate of income is 2.97% and consumption price increases at a rate of 2.95% per annum. Finally in this research, the optimal growth rate of housing price is estimated ranged from 3.5 to 4.0% minimizing the loan payoff period.

연장근로에 따른 아동돌봄 형태와 일 가족 갈등: 초등학생 이하 자녀를 둔 취업모를 중심으로 (Variations in Childcare Style and Work-Family Conflict Related to Extended Working Hours: Focusing on Employed Mothers of Preschoolers or Elementary-School Children)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate whether employed mothers' extended working hours have effects on childcare style and work-family conflicts. The data came from the 2007 Korean Longitudinal Survey of Women and Family(KLoWF) of the Korean Women's Development Institute. 475 females with preschoolers or elementary-school children were used in this study. The major findings can be summarized as follows: (1) Weekly average working hours varied by education, salary, and the presence of preschoolers. (2) The time of childcare was significantly shorter in mothers who work more than 50 hours/week (3) Mothers who worked more than 50 hours/week felt significantly high work-family conflict. These analyses pointed to the importance of obeying the law related to working hours as the most important thing to sustain work-family balance. Institutional foundations should be enabled to keep legal working hours.
