by providing objective information regarding medical radiation for elementary, middle, and high school students in Korea, who are expected to have a high ripple effect in education, and by analyzing behavioral changes in the selection of medical radiation, this study aimed to deduce the basis for educational intervention. The tools used in the study were a questionnaire, including questions about perception, knowledge, attitude, and behavior toward medical radiation; video and Power-point materials for the lesson; simulated radiation diagnosis selection form; and radiation treatment selection form to find out about behavior. A post-test demonstrated that the objective knowledge about medical radiation of all the students turned out to be significantly higher (p<0.000) after the lesson compared to before the lesson. However, there were no statistically significant behavioral changes. Rather, for high school students, the behavior of selecting medical radiography and treatment was significantly lower (p<0.000) after the lesson. For the more impressionable children in the lower grades, the lesson must not only provide an opportunity to understand and pay attention to diverse viewpoints, but also encourage them to make ethical decisions based on value. Since it can be predicted that attitude or behavioral changes through education or publicity can be expected from adults older than high school students, issues regarding dangers like radiation exposure must be treated as an issue of value judgment predicated on multifaceted considerations.
There are currently many research papers on the knowledge, perceptions and actions of radiation-related staff, but hardly any papers on radiation major students in college who are to be staff members of radiation related jobs in the future. It is of course important to understand the perceptions of staff working on the lines and change their knowledge and perceptions, but in the long term it seems more efficient to understand those who are in the stage of being educated to be staff members-their knowledge and perception of radiation so that ultimately they can attain the right kind of understanding. Therefore the aim of this study is to grasp the pre-radiation staff's basic concept of radiation and space dose, their understanding of radiation safety based on this, and whether there is a change in their perception before and after the space dose measurement experiment; in the end this is to see if the space dose measurement experiment is effective in changing perception on radiation safety. This study took as its subject 64 students majoring radiation in college, I.e. pre-radiation staff members, and gauged their basic conceptualization of radiation, understanding of space dose, and understanding of radiation safety; in the X-ray room within the department the students were asked to measure space dose for themselves, so as to see whether there was a change in their understanding of radiation safety before and after the experiment, according to their understanding of the basic concept of radiation and of space dose. As a result of the space dose measurement experiment, students' increased basic knowledge of concept of radiation and understanding of the dangers of space dose were noteworthy, and accordingly their understanding of radiation safety became stricter and more conservative. In spite of this, their work ethic stayed in the lead of their understanding of radiation safety; this implies the need of a more departmentalized safety education program. Therefore instead of safety education that simply uses visual-audial material in a kind of lecture, I suggest here that there be a more experiential safety education program that enables learners to try out space dose measurement experiments for themselves, a work ethic education that aims for a conventional point of view towards radiation safety as well as a stern attitude.
The purpose of this study is to provide a fundamental research data that is necessary in an education of dietary life so that the students have sound dietary life through a right food purchase after investigating perception of children's dietary habit and activity, food labelling, and nutrition labelling for 400 students of the 5 and 6th grades. The result of the study are as followings. In terms of perception questions over food labelling, on the whole, "know it little bit" was the highest. Girls and country was higher than boys and city. A list of item that is important in contents of food labelling were period of circulation, data of manufacturing, price, used ingredient, origin of product, nutrition contain labelling, manufacturer, quantity in contents(quantity, the number). A meaningful difference was shown in gender(p<.05) and area(p<.01). In 30 perception questions over nutrition labelling, "know it little bit" was the most, and girls and country were higher than boys and city. In ascertaining nutrition labelling at the time of purchasing the food, "look often" was the most. Girls and city were higher than boys and Gun in average but no difference was statistically shown in knowledge mark in utilization and perception of nutrition labelling. The response rate in girls(p<.01) and country(p<.05) was higher in a question of "if nutrition labelling is displayed, nutriment that is harmful for our body will be eaten less" and girls' response rate was higher in the question of "being educated for my health". Therefore, practice centered nutrition education is necessary to purchase the food after ascertaining food nutrition labelling out of an attitude in habitually purchasing the processed food. The students develop comprehensible food nutrition labelling the direction to emphasizing nutrition educational labelling and recognizing that the healthy nutriment is contained without conventional and food safety centered labelling should be changed.
The purpose of this study was to create a cyber-training & education program in response to the needs of skippers and crews operating tug-barges within Korean coastal waters and the rapid changers in this industry. Skippers and crews are inclined to operate tug-barges on the basis of experience rather than information. It is not easy to provide useful information whenever they want or to drill them in safety management skills, because of their passive attitude toward education and the few opportunities that exist. In order to increase educational opportunities, efficiency and motivation, the authors have developed this program which consists of a 'tug bridge resource management module, risk perception training module, accident case module, operating module and navigation module', and are hoping that this program will enhance and strengthen all tug-barge operations. We are also putting all our energies into designing up to date animation programs and developing new scenarios concerning the method of evaluation and certification distribution.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors negatively affecting college life, to investigate the perception gap between housing types, and to generate preliminary data for increasing residential satisfaction of students who live in temporary housing(e.g., dormitory or one-room). The utilized research methods included a questionnaire survey and an in-depth interview. The college students, especially from other regions, experienced more financial difficulties than others. They managed their tuition and living expense/allowance by parents supports and other sources(e.g., scholarship, arbeit, work in college, loan etc.). The reasons to choose dormitory, as temporary housing, were short distance to college and low costs. In case of one room, independent life was main reason to choose. Gender differences affected to the decision, moving away from present temporary housing. For example, male students preferred an independent life and a short commuting distance, while female students preferred an independent life and a safe life. Thus, considering the origin and gender differences of residents, dormitory planning needed to develop plans allowing independent life and to choose appropriate site for the purpose. In case of planning one room apartment, concerns for safety and landscape were more important than other factors.
A survey on consumer's awareness and perception toward genetically-modified(GM) foods was conducted on 2110 random samples of Korean consumers. More than 65% of the respondents were exposed to some information related to GM foods. The respondents answered that the greatest benefit of the development of GM foods is remedy of potential food shortages in the future. More than 90% of Korean consumers wanted GM foods to be labeled as such. More than 50% of the respondents would not buy until they know more about GM foods. Only 35.8% of Korean consumers were found to know that food items originating from plants contained genes. More consumers responded that they would not buy herbicide-resistant GM soybean but buy vitamin-enriched GM soybean. Many Korean consumers' decision of acceptance or rejection of GM foods depend not on the basis of biotechnology, but on the basis of the degree of benefit to the consumers. Only 6.4% of Korean consumers responded that GM foods were the greatest threat to the safety of Korean foods. The perception of Korean consumers on GM foods has not changed significantly during the past 5 years.

Death accidents rates in construction industry is increasing high recently. Such a phenomenon may be seen as a limitation of current management methods and legal actions. Therefore, purpose of this study was to find priorities of construction Workers safety activities related to motivational factors and to check perception differences between construction workers and construction engineers and to find a main factor of workers attitude, behavioral causes and find a way to reduce the accidents causing in construction industry. For the research, we did a survey with construction workers and construction engineers asking about 3 top motivators 'economic, environmental, safety, cultural, and administrative factors' in 21 details. According to the survey, the biggest difference between construction workers and construction engineers was about a working environment and safety cultural factors. Also, workers and engineers were both positive about safety incentive. Based on the results of this study, safety accidents will be reduced through worker-oriented management.

Purpose : The purpose of this study was to investigate health college students' awareness and knowledge of the dementia policy and their attitudes toward dementia. Methods : In this study, 294 questionnaires were collected from 301 college students in the Department of Health of K College in Busan from November 7 to 29, 2022. The questionnaire consisted of 59 items, including 9 items on general characteristics, 10 on awareness of the dementia policy, 15 on attitudes toward dementia, and 25 on knowledge about dementia. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t test, and one-way analysis of variance with SPSS version 25. A post-analysis was performed using the Scheffe test. Dementia policy awareness, knowledge of dementia, and attitude toward dementia were analyzed with the Pearson correlation coefficient by factor. Results : The health students' dementia policy awareness and knowledge of dementia were high, and their attitudes toward dementia were positive. High knowledge of dementia was influenced by sex, interest in dementia, presence of dementia information, and related volunteer work experience. Positive attitudes toward dementia were related to sex, department, and mode of receiving dementia information. High dementia policy perceptions were associated with interest in dementia and the presence or absence of information on dementia. Positive correlations were found between dementia policy perception and knowledge and attitude toward dementia. Conclusion : According to our study, interest in dementia is increasing owing to the recent dementia safety system. As a result, the dementia policy awareness and knowledge of dementia among college students pursuing health studies were high, and their attitude toward dementia was positive. From these results, we can infer that systematic and continuous education on dementia should be conducted in universities.

The Port logistics is a pivotal industry in strengthening competitiveness for countries and companies and plays an important role in accounting for the majority of Korea's import and export volume, so its importance among Korea's industries is truly enormous. The port, which plays such an important role, is simultaneously unloaded, transferred into the dock, and stored, and it can be said that it is composed of a very complex flow. In particular, port unloading is an environment in which port unloading workers cannot escape the risk of disasters as large cargoes and cranes for container transport move, and numerous disasters are hidden and lead to serious disasters. Through literature studies on the Serious Accident Penalty Act, this study investigated how the Serious Accident Penalty Act affected port unloading workers and whether there was a change in satisfaction with safety education according to the enforcement of the Serious Accident Penalty Act. Through this study, it was found that port unloading workers were more aware of safety than managers in cognitive, attitude, and experience factors. Since the port unloading manager is not put into the unloading work, the perception of safety was analyzed to be lower than that of workers. Since managers should educate workers on safe work and be alert to safety, it seems that port unloading managers will also need to change their perception of safety. The Act on the Punishment of Severe Disasters took effect on January 27, 22, and in the early stages of the enforcement of the law, many confusing and ambiguous parts are found for those in charge of performing practical tasks on the front line until the law is settled. It seems necessary to revise the Act on the Punishment of Severe Disasters for the purpose of clear standards for the law and no safety accidents in the field to prevent confusion in work. In addition, in order to derive more meaningful research results in the future, it is expected that research on the perception of disasters by workers and managers will be continuously needed by deepening literature research to find various factors and using investigation methods such as interviews.
