대국민 철도안전 교육프로그램 개발 방안 (An Investigation of railway safety education program for the public)

  • The each train operators in Korea have its own public railway safety campaign program but it is not systematic and repeated because of budget limitation. Continuous public casualties in railway transportation require that organized safety education program for the public. This paper analysed statistics of public casualties so that urgent subject occurring many times should be developed primarily as education program. Several foreign cases were investigated and characterized. Finally, a railway safety education program proposed. The program is designed to supply experiential learning, lecture and exhibition.

나로우주센터 상공의 낙뢰 발생 특성 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Lightning Detection over the Naro Space Center)

  • The latest aerospace technology is important for the stable flight of a launch vehicle, but weather conditions on the day of launch are also one of the essential factors for successful launch campaign. If a launch vehicle is directly struck while preparing to take off from the launch pad on the day of launch or the electronic device are damaged by induced current during flight of the launch vehicle, this means launch failure and can lead to enormous national loss. Therefore, for a successful launch campaign, it is necessary to analyze the lightning detection characteristics of the Naro Space Center. In this study, the seasonal factors of the lightning that occurred over the Naro Space Center from 2003 to 2017, the influence of the polarity, and the correlation with the lightning intensity was confirmed. As a result, there was a high probability of intensive occurrence of multiple lightning strikes in summer, and a high proportion of positive (+) lightning strikes in winter. Lastly, in the distribution of the number of lightning strikes, an average of 2.0 to 2.5 negative (-) lightning strikes occurs in the coastal regions of the South and West Seas when one flash happens.

간호대학생의 환자안전에 대한 지식, 태도 및 수행자신감 (Knowledge, Attitude, and Confidence on Patient Safety of Undergraduate Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine undergraduate students' level of knowledge, attitude, and confidence toward patient safety. Methods: A descriptive survey design was used. The subjects consisted of 932 senior nursing students who have had clinical practice in nursing schools in a metropolitan city in Korea. The data were collected from March 4th to 28th in 2011. Knowledge, attitude, and confidence on patient safety were measured using self administered questionnaires. Data were analyzed with SPSS 18.0 using descriptive statistics, t-test, One-Way ANOVA, and Pearson correlation coefficient. Results: Knowledge of patient safety was relatively low and attitude and confidence were at moderate level. There were statistically significant differences in knowledge, attitude, and confidence toward patient safety according to gender, educational system, grades, satisfaction with nursing major or clinical practice, and experience of patient safety education or patient safety campaign. There was a significant positive correlation among knowledge, attitude and confidence on patient safety. Conclusion: The study findings suggests that concept and skills on patient safety need to be educated systematically during undergraduate curriculum linked with clinical practicum.

신호기위치와 정지선 준수율과의 관계 연구 (The Study on the Correlation between Traffic Signal Location and Stop Line Observance)

  • 경찰은 2005년 정지선 준수율 향상을 위하여 '정지선 지키기 생활화 운동'과 함께 정지선위반 단속을 수행하였다. 단속기간 동안 정지선 준수율이 향상되었으나, 단속기간 이후 정지선 준수율은 단속 이전 수준으로 회귀되어 캠페인 및 단속을 통한 정지선 준수율 향상 노력의 장기적인 실효성 문제가 지적되었다. 교통안전시설물(신호기) 설치위치 조정 등의 교통환경 개선을 통해 장기적이며 근본적인 정지선 준수율 향상 필요성이 공론화 되고 있으나 해당분야의 기초 연구가 부재하다. 본 연구는 신호기 설치위치에 따른 차량의 정지선 준수율 변화 여부를 분석 및 제시한다. 현장자료를 토대로 수행한 통계분석 결과 신호기 위치에 따라 정지선 준수율이 변화하며, 정지선으로부터 신호기까지의 거리가 $10{\sim}20m$일 경우 정지선 준수율이 높아지는 것으로 분석되었다. '교통신호기설치관리매뉴얼'에서 허용하는 신호기 설치위치 범위에 포함되는 정지선 하류 $10{\sim}20m$의 위치를 신호기 적정 설치위치로 제안한다.

헬스 캠페인 관련 국내외 정부 광고 및 미디어 테크놀로지 활용 전략 (Strategies on Domestic/International Governmental Advertising and Media Technology Concerning Health Campaigns)

  • 2018년 정부 기관 및 공공법인 등의 광고시행에 관한 법률이 본격 시행되면서 정부 광고의 효율성 및 공익성 향상의 필요성이 제기되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 건강 보건 안전 등 헬스 캠페인에 초점을 두고 관련 정부 광고의 현황을 살펴보고 나아가 향후 전략과 정책 방향에 관하여 심층적으로 연구를 하고자 하였다. 먼저, 국내 외의 헬스 캠페인 관련 정부 광고를 분석하였고 특히, 미디어 테크놀로지를 활용한 헬스컴 관련 정부 광고를 연구하였다. 아울러 10명의 헬스 캠페인 관련 전문가들과의 심층 인터뷰를 통해서 변화하는 디지털 테크놀로지 활용 방안을 모색하였다. 연구결과로 먼저 헬스 캠페인의 목적에 부합하는 전략과 타깃의 선정이 중요하며, 예산에 따른 캠페인의 범위를 확정해야 하고 양질의 크리에이티브를 확보해야 하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 미디어 테크놀로지를 활용한 전략을 적극 활용해야 하는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구는 건강 보건 안전 등 헬스 캠페인 관련 정부 광고의 효과 및 효율성을 향상 시킬 수 있는 전략 방안을 이론적 실무적으로 제시하는 데 의의가 있다.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to provide basic data for the development of the most appropriate and effective educational materials for patients and their caregivers through the educational experiences of patient safety officer. Methods: This study is a qualitative analysis that involves using the focus group interview to understand the patient safety education experience of the patient safety officer. Results: The patient safety education experience of the patient safety officer is divided into four topics: (1) patient safety education content (2) patient safety education method (3) patient safety education status (4) activation and improvement of patient safety education. Additionally, the study incorporated twelve subtopics: (a) falls (b) speak up (c) patient safety campaign (d) patient safety rounding and a one on one training (e) education through medical staff (f) education using broadcast, video, post, among others (g) a lot of education in patient (h) patients not interested in patient safety education (i) patient safety education is less effective (j) human and medical expenses support (k) provision of standardized educational materials (l) patient safety culture for patient participation. Conclusions: This study indicate that education for patients and the caregivers should be inclusive and protective of stakeholders from the risks involved in patient safety events. The experience of patient safety officer is necessary for patient safety education for both patients and the caregivers since it is the source of basic data for the future development of patient safety education.

교통안전정책 강화의 교통사고 감소효과 분석 (The Impact of Traffic Safety Measures on Reducing Traffic Accidents)

  • 본 연구는 1990년대 이후 실시된 교통사고 줄이기 운동 실시, 무인단속카메라 설치, 좌석안전띠 착용 의무화, 음주운전 삼진아웃제 등 8가지 교통안전정책의 개입효과를 ARIMA방법을 사용하여 분석하였다. 분석의 관점은 교통안전정책 강화가 전체 교통사고에 미치는 영향. 교통안전정책 강화가 일정지역의 교통사고에 미치는 영향, 특정교통안전정책 강화가 특정 법규위반으로 인한 교통사고에 미치는 영향으로 세분하였다. 분석 결과 교통사고 줄이기 운동 실시, 교통법규위반 신고보상금제, 음주운전 삼진아웃제 등이 교통사고 사망자수를 줄이는데 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났으나 통계적으로 유의하지 못하였다.

A Comparative Study of the Methods to Assess Occupational Noise Exposures of Fish Harvesters

  • Background: Noise-induced hearing loss is a well-known occupational disease that affects many fish harvesters from many fisheries worldwide, whose risk factor is prolonged exposure to hazardous noise levels. To date, academic research activities and regulatory bodies have not provided any comparative analysis among the existing methods to assess noise exposure levels of fish harvesters. This paper provides a comparison of four relevant assessment methods of noise exposure, examining the results of a measurement campaign performed onboard small fishing vessels from Newfoundland and Labrador. Methods: We traveled onboard 11 vessels engaged in multiple fisheries from Newfoundland and Labrador and performed extensive noise exposure surveys using the simplified International Maritime Organization method, the full-day measurement method, and the two methods provided by ISO 9612:2009, the task-based method and job-based method (JBM). Results: The results showed that the four methods yield similar values when the noise components are dominated by the engine and auxiliaries (steady-state sources); when noise components are dominated by the fishing gear, task-based method and the simplified International Maritime Organization method estimates are less accurate than JBM, using full-day measurements as baseline. Conclusion: The JBM better assesses noise exposure in small-scale fisheries, where noise exposure has significant variance and uncertainties on the exposure levels are higher.

Factors that Affect Depression and Anxiety in Service and Sales Workers Who Interact With Angry Clients

  • Introduction: We evaluated depression and anxiety in service and sales workers from Korea who interacted with angry clients to identify factors that mediated and moderated depression and anxiety in these workers. Methods: This was a secondary analysis of data from the fifth Korean Working Conditions Survey conducted in 2017. A structural equation model was used for mediation and moderation analysis. Results: Service and sales workers who had more interactions with angry clients had increased risk for depression and anxiety. Experiencing clients' adverse behaviors (acute episodes) mediated the relationship between interacting with angry clients (a chronic situation) on depression and anxiety. Job satisfaction and managers' support moderated the relationship between interacting with angry clients and mental health problems. Conclusion: We suggest that employers of service and sales workers should recruit staff based on their aptitude for such work, thus ensuring job satisfaction, and train them to deal with angry clients in such a way that they experience less emotional burden. Employers should also make bylaws requiring managers to directly take care of adverse social behavior by clients. Furthermore, a sociocultural campaign to prevent adverse social behavior by clients is also needed.

항공주파수 보호를 위한 전자파방해(EMI)분포조사 및 분석 (Analysis & investigation of EMI dispersion for protection aviation frequency)

  • 본 논문에서는 전자파방해(EMI) 발생 위치 추적을 위한 관리프로그램을 개발하여 전자파방해(EMI) 발생시 현장을 신속하게 탐색할 수 있으며, 또한 전자파방해(EMI)로 인한 항공기 사고 관련 분석 자료와 전자파방해(EMI)발생 현장인 1000개의 RF 업체 위치자료와 전파환경 스펙트럼 분석 및 오디오 자료등을 데이터베이스화 하여 비교자료로 활용하므로써 신속한 원인분석과 정확한 위치 추적으로 전자파방해(EMI)를 일소할 수 있게 되었고, 또한 상시 모니터링 시스템을 구축하여 24시간 감시를 통하여 전자파방해(EMI) 발생을 예방하고 있다. 따라서 항공기 사고 방지를 위하여 양질의 항공전파를 제공할 수 있었다. 또한 항공기 탑승객을 상대로 정기적으로 항공주파수 보호 및 항공기 기내 전자 기기(PED) 사용으로 인한 야기 될수 있는 전자파방해(EMI)방지 안전문화 캠페인를 펼쳐 항공주파수를 안전하게 보호할 수 있었고, 또한 최악의 항공기 사고를 예방할 수 있는 기반을 마련 할 수 있었다.
