Color Reproduction Modeling of OLED using Standard RBG Display (표준 디스플레이를 이용한 OLED의 색재현성 모델링)

  • This paper proposed the color reproduction modeling of OLED using standard RGB display. The kinds of non-standard RGB displays are various. And color reproduction of non-standard RGB displays is different by chromaticities of primaries and reference white etc. In this paper, we proposed algorithm that made OLED display's color reproduction to standard CRT monitor using conversion matrix. If using the algorism that is proposed in this paper, we can confirm the reproduced color characteristics to simulation beforehand and improve the performance of existing display. when developing new display, we are expected to be used very usefully.

  • Recently, Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) that is broadly applied as next generation display has various advantages. However, OLED display causes unbalanced color tone due to the difference of luminance efficiency among luminous elements. In this paper, we propose adaptive color shifter (ACS) to resolve the RGB channel unbalance and to have wide color range of a relatively weak channel using the image processing method. proposed ACS system was simulated using a variety of image. Also, we numerically analyzed using hue histogram, CIE-1931 xyz color space.

A Study on Color Information Recognition with Improved Fuzzy Inference Rules (개선된 퍼지 추론 규칙을 이용한 색채 정보 인식에 관한 연구)

  • Widely used color information recognition methods based on the RGB color model with static fuzzy inference rules have limitations due to the model itself - the detachment of human vision and applicability of limited environment. In this paper, we propose a method that is based on HSI model with new inference process that resembles human vision recognition process. Also, a user can add, delete, update the inference rules in this system. In our method, we design membership intervals with sine, cosine function in H channel and with functions in trigonometric style in S and I channel. The membership degree is computed via interval merging process. Then, the inference rules are applied to the result in order to infer the color information. Our method is proven to be more intuitive and efficient compared with RGB model in experiment.

  • The technique presented in this paper maximizes LCD color performance by way of advanced gamma control technology. First, two gamma curves corresponding to two sub-pixels are mixed to minimize gamma distortion off-axis, then RGB gamma curve control is used to establish accurate on-axis color. Independent RGB curve control for each sub-pixel improves the LCD's performance both on- and off-axis.

  • In this paper, we propose an implementation of pH reader on Android smart phone by using Eclipse and SDK. After taking a picture of pH spectrum and tested litmus paper at the same time, we save the picture. From the picture, reference values in RGB and YUB of all pH color in the spectrum are obtained and then those of a chosen point by user in the litmus paper are to be compared with. The distances between the reference colors and the litmus paper's color are measured by Euclidean distance in RGB or YUB coordinate. The nearest two pH values are taken to find the weighted average of the result. Series of test show the proposed scheme is feasible and has performance within 10% error.

Person Tracking by Detection of Mobile Robot using RGB-D Cameras

  • In this paper, we have implemented a low-cost mobile robot supporting the person tracking by detection using RGB-D cameras and ROS(Robot Operating System) framework. The mobile robot was developed based on the Kobuki mobile base equipped with 2's Kinect devices and a high performance controller. One kinect device was used to detect and track the single person among people in the constrained working area by combining point cloud data filtering & clustering, HOG classifier and Kalman Filter-based estimation successively, and the other to perform the SLAM-based navigation supported in ROS framework. In performance evaluation, the person tracking by detection was proved to be robustly executed in real-time, and the navigation function showed the accuracy with the mean distance error being lower than 50mm. The mobile robot implemented has a significance in using the open-source based, general-purpose and low-cost approach.

  • This paper proposes a multi-color lamp using ROB LEDs for color variation. The lamp has an internal controller circuit. so it can be directly connected to the existing incandescent lamp socket. It's main body is comprised of two PCB layers. The upper layer contains 44 LEDs and the lower one has a simple microcontroller-based PWM control circuit. Appropriate number of RGB LEDs are so chosen according to the color mixing theory that the overall LEDs represent a color temperature of 6500K. The lamp has functions of both ON/OFF control and PWM control, so is capable of color variation of over 100,000 colors and of more than 10 patterns.

  • An object's color and intensity are determined by its spectral reflectance and illumination. Therefore, the illumination plays a key role in forming the appearance of the object in a scene. In this paper, we focus on color distinction of objects and derive the optimal illumination conditions to maximize the distance between objects in the RGB color space. As a practical approach the optimal illumination is composed by deriving the optimal linear combinations given a set of LED light sources. The effectiveness of our approach is shown through experimental results using an endoscope system.

  • 본 논문에서는 컬러 영상과 깊이 영상으로부터 영상 전체의 정보를 활용하는 형판 정합 방법으로 특징을 추출하여, 사물의 속성을 인식하는 시스템을 제안한다. 본 시스템은 입력 영상으로부터 더 많은 정보를 얻기 위해 컬러 영상과 깊이 영상을 함께 사용하였다. 그리고 영상의 부분적인 정보가 아닌 전체 정보를 활용하는 형판 정합 방법을 사용하여 속성 인식률을 향상 시켰다. 본 시스템의 성능을 확인하기 위해 워싱턴 대학에서 제공하는 RGB-D 데이터 집합을 이용하여 다른 특징들 및 분류기와 비교실험을 진행하였고, 본 논문에서 제안하는 시스템의 높은 성능을 확인할 수 있었다.
