공동주택단지 내 인공지반 녹지조성 형태에 따른 우수유출 저감효과 (A Study on Runoff Water Reduction Effects According to Shapes of Formation of Artificial Soil Green Area in Multi-Housing Complex)

  • This study aims to analyze, by forming an experimental area of artificial soil green area that is of equal scale and analyzing the characteristics of runoff water in accordance with the cross-section configuration, applied the benefits in an actual multi-housing case study complex. In examining the measurement test results of the runoff water infiltration amount and surface runoff amount of a low-profile type green area(Dish type) and a general type green area(Mound type), Dish type was seen to have 1.5-times higher runoff water infiltration amount than Mound type during heavy rainfalls and showed about a 50% reduction with respect to the surface runoff amount. In other words, artificial soil green area offers the benefit of reduction of surface runoff amount and suggests, in actuality even with a change to the cross-sectional configuration of artificial soil green area alone at the time of construction of multi-housings, the possibility of benefits and reduction of costs spent on existing rainwater management facilities.

Annual Runoff Loading of Nitrogen and Phosphorus from a Paddy Field

  • The present study examined annual runoff loading of nitrogen and phosphorus in the paddy field from 1 May, 1997 to 30 April, 1998. In the investigated area, the amount of rainfall was 1,095.6 mm and 414.6 mm during cropping season and non-cropping season. The annual rainfall was 1,510.2 mm. The total amount of runoff water was 1,043.2 mm and 281.0mm during cropping season and non-cropping season, and the added total amount of runoff water during two seasons was 1,324.2 mm. The runoff loading of nutrients caused by runoff water was measured as follows. The total-N was 149.23 and $8.67kg\;ha^{-1}$ (total amount=$157.90kg^{-1}ha^{-1}yr^{-1}$), the ammonia-N 102.98 and $4.44kg\;ha^{-1}$ ($107.42kg^{-1}ha^{-1}yr^{-1}$), the nitrate-N 28.45 and $1.23kg\;ha^{-1}$ ($29.68kg^{-1}ha^{-1}yr^{-1}$), the total-P 4.16 and $0.38kg\;ha^{-1}$ ($4.54kg^{-1}ha^{-1}yr^{-1}$) during cropping and non-cropping season respectively. When the loss ratio was calculated based on amounts of chemical fertilizer, about 68.6% of nitrogen and 16.7% of phosphorus was lost by runoff from applied fertilizer amount.

관측 유량 자료를 이용한 소수력 잠재량 평가에 대한 사례연구 (Case Study : Assessment of Small Hydropower Potential Using Runoff Measurements)

  • In this study, we assessed dependency of small hydropower potentials on the two different runoff such as the estimated runoff based on the rainfall amounts and measured runoff. The hydpropower potentials were evaluated using actural power generations taken from Deoksong, Hanseok, and Socheon small hydropower plants over Han and Nakdong river basins, respectively. As a result of comparing the actual power generation amount with the potential amount based on the rainfall amount and the estimated amount based on the observed flow amount by each small hydroelectric power plant, the degree of latent small hydro energy by the observed flow was confirmed to be high. It is confirmed that the potential hydroelectric power generation rate is estimated to be about average 30%Point higher than the actual generation amount as a result of the measured flow rate rather than using the rainfall amount. Based on this, a method for improving the degree of the actual generation amount is proposed.

제주도 하천에 대한 SWAT 모형의 적응 (Application of SWAT Model on Rivers in Jeju Island)

  • The SWAT model developed by the USDA-Agricultural Research service for the prediction of rainfall run-off, sediment, and chemical yields in a basin was applied to Jeju Island watershed to estimate the amount of runoff. The research outcomes revealed that the estimated amount of runoff for the long term on 2 water-sheds showed fairly good performance by the long-term daily runoff simulation. The watershed of Chunmi river located the eastern region in Jeju Island, after calibrations of direct runoff data of 2 surveys, showed the similar values to the existing watershed average runoff rate as 22% of average direct runoff rate for the applied period. The watershed of Oaedo river located the northern region showed $R^2$ of 0.93, RMSE of 14.92 and ME of 0.70 as the result of calibrations by runoff data in the occurrence of 7 rainfalls.

산불발생지에 있어서 표면유출수량의 장기적인 변화에 관한 연구 (Long Term Changes of the Amount of Surface Runoff in Forest Fire Area)

  • 산불 발생 후 시간경과에 따른 표면유출수량의 변화과정 및 환경인자와의 관계를 비피해지와 비교분석한 결과 산불피해지가 비피해지에 비해 산불 발생 당해연도인 1996년도에는 1.72배, 산불발생 후 1년이 경과한 1997년도에는 1.44배, 5년이 경과한 2001년도에는 1.38배, 10년이 경과한 2006년도에는 1.16배 정도 많은 표면유출수량을 보여 산불발생 후 10년이 경과하면 산불피해지의 표면유출수량은 비피해지와 거의 같은 수준으로 회복이 이루어지는 것으로 조사되었다. 산불피해지 및 비피해지의 표면유출수량은 단위강우횟수, 누적강우횟수, 단위강우량 등 강우인자에 직접적인 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다.

산불발생지의 표면유출수와 토양침식량에 관한 연구 (Studies on the Surface Runoff and Soil Erosion in the Forest Fire Area)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the burning impacts of the surface and crown fire occured in yongsan-ri meongsok-myun of chinju-city, Gyeongnam. Environmental influences like surface runoff and soil erosion changes were investigated by comparisons analysis between burned and unburned area about some initial effects after fire. The results obtained from this study were as followed; 1. The average amount of surface runoff in burned area was more 1.7 times than in unburned area. But it was gradually tend to decrease in burned area as times passed. 2. Factors significantly correlated to amount of surface runoff in burned area shown in order to unit rainfall, accumulated rainfall and sand content, as 0.9466 of multiple correlation coefficient, where as the factors in unburned area were unit rainfall, soil erosion, bulk density and soil hardness, as 0.9738 of multiple correlation coefficient. 3. The average amount of soil erosion in burned area was more 11.2 times than in unburned area. But it was gradually tend to decrease in burned area as times passed. 4. Factors significantly correlated to amount of soil erosion in burned area were surface runoff and unit rainfall, as 0.6305 of multiple correlation coefficient. The factors in unburned area shown in order to surface runoff, sand content, bulk density and unit rainfall, as 0.7879 of multiple correlation coefficient.

익산 밭경지 특성을 고려한 초생대 유출 및 유사 저감효과 모의 (Simulations of Reduction Effects on Runoff and Sediment for VFS Applications by Considering Uplands Characteristics in Iksan)

  • The goal of this study was to evaluate sediment reduction effects of VFS (vegetative filter strip) applied for Iksan area in Saemangeum watershed. This study simulated runoff and sediment load from different types of uplands using VFSMOD-W. The general upland characteristics of the study area was investigated to build reasonable scenarios of the simulation. The simulation scenarios were designed by various areas, shapes, and slopes of uplands. Grass mixture was selected as VFS vegetation and the size of VFS was fixed as 10 % of uplands area. Additionally 50mm, 100mm, 150mm of daily rainfall were applied for the runoff and sediment simulation. As results, the calculated runoff and sediment loads were obtained $20.7{\sim}1,030.6m^3$ and 568.4~675,731.4 kg for the range of 0.1~1.0 ha of uplands with 7 % and 15 % slopes. The reduction effects on runoff and sediment were obtained 5~10 % and 21.0~47.7 % respectively from VFS applications. The VFSMOD-W simulations showed that runoff tended to increase as upland area and amount of rainfall increased while sediment increased when slope, length and area of uplands and amount of rainfall increased. These results indicated that rainfall amount and upland size are the critical factors for the generation of runoff and sediment load. In order to support this conclusion, further studies such as, long term monitoring, field experiments, and to calibrate and evaluate the model are necessary.

경사지 밭토양에서 강우량과 토성에 따른 물 유출 양상 및 수관피복인자 구명 (Characteristics of Soil Water Runoff and Canopy Cover Subfactor in Sloped Land with Different Soil Texture)

  • 우리나라 밭토양은 70% 이상이 경사지에 위치하고 있기 때문에 침식에 의한 토양유실이 매우 심각한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 토성 간 강우량 및 강우강도에 따른 토양유실량과 유출수량을 비교함으로써 토성 및 강우형태에 따른 물흐름 양상을 파악하고, RUSLE (Revised universal soil loss equation)에서 수관피복인자(Canopy cover subfactor)를 산출하여 토양유실을 방지하는데 이용하고자 하였다. 시험은 2005년 5월부터 10월까지 고추, 배추, 감자, 콩이 식재되고 15%의 경사도를 가진 라이시미터에서 실시되었고 강 우량과 강우강도, 토양 유실량과 유출수량, 강우량과 토성에 따라 유출량과의 관계를 보았다. 강우량에 따른 유출수량은 모두 강우량이 증가함에 따라 증가하는 정의 관계를 보였으나 토성에 따라 강우량이 증가함에 따른 유출수의 상대적인 증가비율은 다소 다른 경향을 나타내었다. 고추가 식재된 상태에서 토성별 강우량 단위 증가에 따른 유출수의 증가비율은 양토에서 0.44로 가장 높았고 식양토, 사양토는 0.41 mm, 0.13 mm 이었다. 유출발생 최소강우량도 사양토가 23.53 mm로 가장 높았으며 양토는 10.35 mm, 식양토는 5.46 mm 순으로 나타내었다. 고추의 수관피복인자는 사양토에서 0.425, 양토는 0.459, 식양토는 0.478를 나타내었다. 본 연구 결과 산출된 토성별 강우량에 따른 유출수량과 수관피복인자는 토양 유실량을 평가하여 저감 대책을 마련하는데 도움이 되리라 판단된다.

유출특성을 고려한 산지지역의 물수지 평가 - 제주도 표선유역을 중심으로 - (Assessment of Water Balance Considering Runoff Characteristics in the Mountainous Area of Pyosun Catchment in Jeju Island)

  • The grid-based water balance of watershed scale was assessed in the mountainous area of Pyosun catchment in Jeju Island after analyzing precipitation, evapotranspiration, and runoff from January 2008 to December 2013. The existing results of direct runoff, evapotranspirtion, and groundwater recharge comparing to precipitation were presented 22.0%, 25.6%, and 52.4%, respectively, in Pyosun catchment. However, this study indicated each component shows 14.5%, 24.2%, and 61.0%, respectively, in the mountainous area of Pyosun catchment. Therefore, groundwater recharge rate in the mountainous area appears higher than 10% comparing to the overall catchment. It would be analyzed that the amount of direct runoff is relatively small. Moreover, this difference could be generated because of the spatial discontinuities in the process of estimating the total amount of precipitation in the mountainous area. Therefore, the grid-based spatial analysis to maximize the spatial continuity would be useful for providing a more reasonable result when the total amount of water resources are evaluated in mountainous areas in the future.

물리 결정 모델링에 의한 충청도 병천천 유역의 하천 유출량 복원과 물 수지 수립 (Restoration of the Stream Runoff by the Physical Deterministic Modeling and Formulation of Water Balance for the Catchment of Byungchun River in Chungcheong Province in Korea)

  • 본 연구는 장기적인 기상 자료(meterological data)와 하천 유출량 자료(stream run off data)의 획득이 가능한 충청도 병천천 유역에 대해 BROOK90 4.4e 물리 결정 물 수지 모델(physical deterministic water balance model)을 사용하여 '병천천 유역의 물 수지 모델'을 수립한 것이다. 모델 조작 매개변수(model fitting parameter)를 교정(calibration)한 비준 모델(validation model)을 가지고 기상 자료(meterological data)가 있지만 하천 유출량 자료(stream runoff data)는 없는 시기에 대한 장기적인 물 수지를 수립하였다. 연구의 결과는 a priori 모의 단계에서 실측 하천 유출량(measured stream runoff data)과 모의 하천 유출량(simulated stream runoff data)이 유사하게 나옴으로써 물 수지 모의 실험(experiment for water balance modeling)이라는 연구 성격으로서 목표하는 첫 번째 기대 수준에 도달하고 있다. 모델 조작 매개변수(model fitting parameter)를 확정하고 수행한 비준 모의(validated simulation)를 통해 과거 9년(1998년 ~ 2006년)의 물 수지가 복원되었다. 이 유역의 지형(geomophology), 식생(vegetation), 토양(soil), 토지이용(land use) 상황이 변하지 않는다면 기상자료(meterological data)만 가지고서 언제나 하천 유출량(stream runoff amount), 토양수량(siol water amount) 그리고 증발산량(evapotranspiration) 등 다양한 수문기후 자료를 생산할 수 있다. 이 연구는 현재 한국의 물 수지(water balance) 수립은 물론이고 과거의 물 수지 복원(water balance reconstruction) 분야에 또 하나 새로운 지평을 열었다. 이러한 연구 결과는 한반도에서의 기후(climate)와 식생(vegetation)의 변화에 따른 미래 물 수지(water balance) 예측 분야에서도 널리 활용할 수 있을 것이다.
