The objective of the present work is to assess the analysis capability of two wall film condensation models, the default and the alternative models, of RELAP5/MOD3.2 on condensation experiments in the presence of noncondensable gas in a vertical tube of PCCS of CP-1300. In the calculation of a base case the default model of RELAP5/MOD3.2 under-predicts the heat transfer coefficients, and Its alternative model over-predicts them throughout the condensing tube, Also, both models over-predict the void fractions. The nodalization study shows that the variation of the node number does not change both modeling results of RELAP5/MOD3.2 Sensitivity study for varying input parameters shows that the inlet steam-air mixture flow rate, the inlet air mass fraction, and the inlet saturated steam temperature give significant changes of their heat transfer coefficients Run statistics show that the grind time of the default model is always higher than that of the alternative model by about 23%.
Dynamic analysis is necessary for the High-Speed Railway vehicle which aims to run on max 400km/h. Especially, dynamic simulation using CAE(Computer Aided Engineering) can help to reduce the time of development of the High-Speed Railway vehicles. Also, it helps to reduce prices and improve the quality such as safety, stability and ride. There are many dynamic software for a railway vehicle, such as Vampire and ADAMS-Rail. There are limitations for each software and difficulties to analyze overall dynamics for entire railway system. To overcome these limitations, in this study, a program which can simulate entire railway vehicles was developed. This program is easy to use because it was developed using C++, which is object-oriented programming language. In addition, the basic platform for the development of dynamic solver is prepared using the nodal, modal coordinate system with a wheel-rail contact module. Rigid, flexible and large deformable body systems can be modeled by a user according to the characteristic of a desired system. Its reliability is verified by comparison with a commercial analysis program.
In this study, we empirically analyzed the impact of physical risks due to climate change on the soundness and operational performance of the financial industry by combining economics and climatology. Particularly, unlike previous studies, we employed the Seasonal-Trend decomposition using LOESS (STL) method to extract trends of climate-related risk variables and economic-financial variables, conducting a two-stage empirical analysis. In the first stage estimation, we found that the delinquency rate and the Bank for International Settlement (BIS) ratio of commercial banks have significant negative effects on the damage caused by natural disasters, frequency of heavy rainfall, average temperature, and number of typhoons. On the other hand, for insurance companies, the damage from natural disasters, frequency of heavy rainfall, frequency of heavy snowfall, and annual average temperature have significant negative effects on return on assets (ROA) and the risk-based capital ratio (RBC). In the second stage estimation, based on the first stage results, we predicted the soundness and operational performance indicators of commercial banks and insurance companies until 2035. According to the forecast results, the delinquency rate of commercial banks is expected to increase steadily until 2035 under assumption that recent years' trend continues until 2035. It indicates that banks' managerial risk can be seriously worsened from climate change. Also the BIS ratio is expected to decrease which also indicates weakening safety buffer against climate risks over time. Additionally, the ROA of insurance companies is expected to decrease, followed by an increase in the RBC, and then a subsequent decrease.

The travel behavior can be analysed microscopically using GPS because the travel characteristics can be found out by travelling two test cars loaded with GPS equipments. The speed difference and spacing variation between the lead vehicle and the following's in uninterrupted flow are the important variables related to capacity and safety. This study analysed these with data obtained by travelling the 4th Line and 28th Line of the national road. The variation width in speed difference in the run time is below 3.0%. But, related to the speed difference in the situation of acceleration and deceleration the difference after 4second is bigger than that just after the start. The spacing variation is similar to this. The spacing just before deceleration concerning safety was analysed. When the theoretical values by the modeling method and observed values were compared, the observed values were analysed 12.52% shorter than the other in average.
This paper presents LiDAR static obstacle map based vehicle position correction algorithm for urban autonomous driving. Real Time Kinematic (RTK) GPS is commonly used in highway automated vehicle systems. For urban automated vehicle systems, RTK GPS have some trouble in shaded area. Therefore, this paper represents a method to estimate the position of the host vehicle using AVM camera, front camera, LiDAR and low-cost GPS based on Extended Kalman Filter (EKF). Static obstacle map (STOM) is constructed only with static object based on Bayesian rule. To run the algorithm, HD map and Static obstacle reference map (STORM) must be prepared in advance. STORM is constructed by accumulating and voxelizing the static obstacle map (STOM). The algorithm consists of three main process. The first process is to acquire sensor data from low-cost GPS, AVM camera, front camera, and LiDAR. Second, low-cost GPS data is used to define initial point. Third, AVM camera, front camera, LiDAR point cloud matching to HD map and STORM is conducted using Normal Distribution Transformation (NDT) method. Third, position of the host vehicle position is corrected based on the Extended Kalman Filter (EKF).The proposed algorithm is implemented in the Linux Robot Operating System (ROS) environment and showed better performance than only lane-detection algorithm. It is expected to be more robust and accurate than raw lidar point cloud matching algorithm in autonomous driving.
Roads in Korea can be classified into four types according to their responsible authorities. For example, Motorway is constructed, managed, and operated by the Korea Highway Corporation. Ministry of Construction and Transportation is in charge of National Highway, and Province Roads are run by each province government. Urban/county Roads are run by corresponding local government. This study analyses the trends of road accidents for each road type. For this purpose, the numbers of accidents, fatalities, and injuries are compared for each road type for last 15 years. The result shows that Urban/County Roads are the most dangerous, while Motorways are the safest, when we simply compare the numbers of accidents, fatalities, and injuries. However, when we compare these numbers by dividing by total road length, National Highway becomes the most dangerous while Province Roads becomes the safest. In the case of road accidents, fatalities, and injuries per vehicle km, which is known as the most objective comparison measure, it turns out that National Highway is the most dangerous roads again. This study also developed time series models to estimate trends of fatalities for each road type. These models will be useful when we set up or evaluate targets of national road safety.

Since mobile devices have limited computational resources, it tends to use the cloud to compute or store data. As real-time becomes more important due to 5G, many studies have been conducted on edge clouds that computes at locations closer to users than central clouds. The farther the user's physical distance from the edge cloud connected to base station is, the slower the network transmits. So applications should be migrated and re-run to nearby edge cloud for smooth service use. We run applications in docker containers, which is independent of the host operating system and has a relatively light images size compared to the virtual machine. Existing migration studies have been experimented by using network simulators. It uses fixed values, so it is different from the results in the real-world environment. In addition, the method of migrating images through shared storage was used, which poses a risk of packet content exposure. In this paper, Containers are migrated with Secure CoPy(SCP) method, a data encryption transmission, by establishing an edge computing environment in a real-world environment. It compares migration time with Network File System, one of the shared storage methods, and analyzes network packets to verify safety.

A tilting train, which was developed to run the curve section without reducing the speed and compromising the riding quality, can improve the speed so as to reduce the travel time, compared to the existing trains. Then the force generated by the train operation to the track is in proportion to train operation speed, which means the track shall bear the increased force as much as the increase in train operation speed. Particularly, wheel load and lateral wheel load generated by train operation and distributed to the rail tend to cause the track to suffer the strain and furthermore the severe disaster such as derailment. To deal with such problem and ensure the train will run safety and stably, the tolerance in wheel load change, lateral wheel load and derailment coefficient was determined for quantitative evaluation of the train operation stability. In this study, derailment coefficient of inner and outer rail at existing curve section of tilting train was determined to evaluate the curve radius, possibility of acceleration and the need of rail improvement, which was then compared with the existing traditional train and high speed train. Conducting the quantitative evaluation of dynamic wheel load and lateral wheel load of each train, which was based on field survey, derailment coefficient and static & dynamic wheel load change, which serve the evaluation criteria of train operation stability, were determined for comparison with the standards, thereby analyzing the stability of the tilting train.
Healing Environment is to cure the user as a whole by considering his social, psychological aspect, beyond the functional aspect of treatment. Various design elements of healing space have been developed so far, but they were mostly described with same rank. Even though every element is significant, facilities such as nursing homes tends to run with low budget, and they can't fulfill them all at the same time. It is important to find the sequence between design elements. The purpose of this study is to reorganize the design principles of healing environment by Maslow's hierarchy of needs(Physiological needs, Safety needs, Love/Affilitation needs, Self-Esteem needs and Self-Actualization needs), and analyze elderly nursing homes and examine the framework itself by application. Research method was consist of literature review on healing space design elements and hierarchy of needs, reconstruction of design elements with hierarchy, and application on 5 Korean nursing home cases. As the result, Maslow's hierarchy of needs and design elements were linked with good balance. Analysis of 5 nursing homes revealed that lower needs were short of environmental support compared to higher needs. Especially design elements related to Physiological needs should be improved. Also, new framework had strength in not only providing gasps on current situation in detail, but also suggesting elements for improvement with hierarchy and sequence. Through this research healing environment design elements and human needs were linked. Nursing home is the last environment for the elderly, which should help to heal their body and mind and also support them to accomplish self-actualization.
The purpose of this study is to offer basic data to adolescents' cosmetic culture by investigating and analysing the choices made by female students who have been becoming principle consumers of cosmetics these days. Firstly, social and cultural backgrounds and concepts of N generation, and then characteristics and influencing powers of female students were reviewed. And this study also included questionnaire surveys of 500 female students in middle and high schools located in Seoul. Data were processed using a SPSS$^+$ program and analyzed by using frequency, percentage and the $X^2$-test. The major findings run as follows: Female students have the effects of spreading their words quickly and abilities of making a decision what to buy. And they accept consuming behaviors itself as a part of cultural lives. Therefore, industries have acknowledged them as new principal consumers with a powerful influence in the market. They also play an important role in active consumer as emotional generation who has distinct personalities and prefer fashion trends, changes and innovations. They show conformities with their peer groups and they also want to identify themselves with characters or stars. The cosmetic behaviors of female students relating to demographic characteristics showed a significant relation to grades, majors, school groups and places of residence. Female students have a lot of interest and knowledge about cosmetics. And they use various cosmetic products. This study demonstrated the age for using make-up for the first time has been becoming younger more and more. Recently, female adolescents tend to use face powder, lip gloss, mascara and eye shadow. It is assumed that cosmetic purchases of female students can be considered as an impulsive aspects. However, before purchases, the proportion of students having any particular cosmetic brand in mind previously has been increasing. They take into consideration skin safety, the quality of product and color, when purchasing cosmetic products.
