효과적인 효소 소화율을 위한 볏짚 전처리 (Pretreatment of Rice Straw for Efficient Enzyme Digestibility)

  • Rice straw was pretreated with aqueous ammonia in order to enhance enzyme digestibility. Soaking in ammonia aqueous (SAA) was conducted with 15% ammonia, at $60^{\circ}C$. for 24 h. Optimization of both saccharification conditions and enzyme loading of SAA rice straw was carried out. Especially enzyme loading test was performed using statistical method. Moreover proton beam irradiation (PBI) was also performed to overcome the problem which inhibit the enzyme digestibility at 1-25 kGy doses with 45 MeV of beam energy. Optimal condition for enzymatic saccharification was follows; pH 4.8, $50^{\circ}C$, 60 FPU of enzyme activity, 1:4 ratio of celluase and ${\beta}$-glucosidase. Also, optimal doses of PBI on rice straw and SAA-treated rice straw for efficient sugar recovery were found to be 3 kGy, respectively. When saccharification was performed with optimal condition, glucose conversion yield was 89% of theocratical maximum in 48 h, and 3 kGy of PBI was applied to SAA-treated rice straw, approximately 90% of the theoretical glucose yield was obtained in 12 h. The results of X-ray diffractometry (XRD) support the effect of both SAA and PBI on sugar recovery, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images unveiled the physical change of the rice straw surface since rugged rice straw surface was observed.

  • In concrete, the mater over aggregate is ever demanding each year in paralled with rapid development of Construction works from a couple of years ago. Want of most of them which is river gravel among aggregate has made us uneasy to get good gravel in quality. So far, we have counted on gravel, however, the time to turn the use of normal concrete into that of crushed concrete is closing at hand, I think. According to the results of study by Kaplan, Zeitman, Murdock, Hanada, Yamamodo, the shape of aggregate particle have a great effect on workability of concrete, as we know, is well known to the world. Crushed stone, particularly, is inconvenient to handle on account of jagged, angled particle form and rugged surface structure, give rise to inpediments in works, its unit water stands at about $15-20kg/m^3$, and w/c shows the increasing rate of approximately 5-10%, but it is unsuitable to use in terms of regidity. In order to research all of these, I have experimentalized and reviewed the physical character of aggregate and the regidity of concrete, in addition, its relative ratio of the elastic disposition as to gravel and crushed stone.

  • 유도전동기는 상대적으로 저가이며 보수가 용이하여 산업 및 여러 분야에서 많이 사용되고 있는 전동기이다. 유도전동기의 정확한 속도 및 토크 제어를 위해서 회전자의 속도 및 위치정보가 요구된다. 회전자의 위치 및 속도 센서들은 경제성 및 주위 환경에 따른 센서의 신뢰도 감소 문제를 가져온다. 최근에는 이러한 경제성 및 신뢰성 향상을 위하여 속도 및 위치센서를 사용하지 않는 센서리스 제어방식의 연구가 많이 이루어지고 있다. 대부분의 센서리스제어 방식에서 위치 및 속도추정은 전동기 전압방정식으로부터 계산된다. 따라서 파라미터 오차는 센서리스 제어성능에 큰 영향을 미치게 된다. 본 논문에서는 유도전동기의 속도 추정에서 회전자 저항 오차에 의해 발생하는 속도 오차를 보상하기 위하여 회전자 저항 보상방식을 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제안한 방식은 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션 및 실험을 통하여 검증한다.

광삼각법을 이용한 레이저 변위 센서의 특성 연구 (Characteristics of the Laser Displacement Sensor Using Optical Triangulation Method)

  • Recently, a laser displacement sensor is widely used for the manufacturing automation. The sensor is generally composed of a diode laser and a light receiving device. The diode laser emits a laser beam and the receiving device detects the light reflected from the measured object. The object position is obtained based upon triangulation method. As a light receiving device, a PSD is usually utilized since its structure is very simple and rugged and has a high accuracy. Although the theoretical relationship for this sensor had been developed, the characteristics of the sensor have not been much experimentally studied. In this paper, several experimental results will presented. The measurement accuracy is affected by the surface conditions such as the reflectance characteristics, the angle of the object's surface and the laser intensity. In addition, it is found that the PSD and the signal processing circuit have nonlinearities and showed that those nonlinearities can be reduced by controlling the emitting laser intensity.

LabVIEW Based Laboratory Typed Test Setup for the Determination of Induction Motor Performance Characteristics

  • Induction motors are widely used due to their rugged, robust and easy to care features. Since they are heavily used in industry, testing of three phase induction motors have play a vital role. In order to determine motor equivalent circuit parameters, efficiency of motor, squirrel caged laboratory sized an induction motor test setup is prepared. It is suitable for the induction motor with the frame size of 100 and 112. A virtual Instrumentation typed engineering workbench (called as LabVIEW) software packet, is utilized as a graphical user interface program. Motor input power is measured by measuring the input voltage, current and power factor with the help of hall effect typed voltage and current transformers. Also, the output power is measured by measuring the speed and torque with the help of an encoder and torque sensor. All outputs of the voltage and current transformer, encoder and temperature, torque sensors are given to the Data Acquisition Card (DAQ) which acquires the data for processing and then the equivalent circuit parameters, efficiency, performance and loading characteristics are found out, using LabVIEW based user interface. It is suggested to use this test rig for the quality control of produced motors in industry, and an educational experiment setup in the school laboratories.

Running safety of metro train over a high-pier bridge subjected to fluctuating crosswind in mountain city

  • Due to the rugged terrain, metro lines in mountain city across numerous wide rivers and deep valleys, resulting in instability of high-pier bridge and insecurity of metro train subjected to fluctuating crosswind. To ensure the safe operation in metro lines in mountain cities, running safety of the metro train over the high-pier bridge under crosswind is analyzed in this paper. Firstly, the dynamic model of the wind-train-bridge (WTB) system is built, in which the speed-up effect of crosswind is fully considered. On the basis of time domain analysis, the basic characteristics of the WTB system with high-pier are analyzed. Afterwards, the dynamic responses varies with train speed and wind speed are calculated, and the safety zone of metro train over a high-pier bridge subjected to fluctuating crosswind in mountain city is determined. The results indicate that, fluctuating crosswind triggers drastic vibration to the metro train and high-pier bridges, which in turn causes running instability of the train. For this reason, the corresponding safety zone for metro train running on the high-pier is proposed, and the metro traffic on the high-pier bridge should be closed as the mean wind speed of standard height reaches 9 m/s (15.6 m/s for the train).

  • Korean goral (Nemorhaedus caudatus raddeanus) is an endangered species in Korea, and the rugged terrain of the Sorksan National Park $(373km^2)$ is a critical habitat for the species. Since the goral population is threatened by habitat fragmentation, it is essential to establish a reserve for the isolated goral population. The objective of this study was to propose a reserve for Korean goral in the national Park We employed habitat suitability model, habitat capability model, and the concept of minimum viable population. The results of the study were as follows. First, the carrying capacity and optimal density of gorals in the national park were projected to be 449 gorals, and 251 gorals, respectively Second, since only one patch was projected to satisfy the criteria of minimum viable population (50 individuals/during 50 years), the long term extinction possibility of gorals in the site would be very high. Finally, the patch that satisfy the minimum viable population of goral was proposed as the core zone of the goral reserve and adjacent patches were included as buffer zones.

  • 저압 화학 기상증착법으로 제작한 비정질 실리콘의 표면 형태 및 결정 성장 과정을 증착조건과 열처리 조건의 변화에 따라 조사하였다. 비정질에서 결정으로 변화하는 전이온도인 570~$590^{\circ}C$에서 증착한 시편은 (311)조직의 거친 표면으로 성장하였다. 같은 증착 온도에서 두께가 두꺼울수록 다결정에서 비정질로 변화하였다. 증착하는 과정에서의 결정화는 기판에서부터 시작되지만, 진공상태를 그대로 유지하고 비정질 실리콘을 전이온도에서 열처리하면 표면 실리콘 원자가 이동하여 결정화하였다.

  • Nowadays in building construction field, workers become aged and avoid dirty, difficult, and dangerous work. Above all, a person who is in charge of beam assembling work in high and narrow space just relies on safety belt. So these workers should be highly trained. This paper deals with a new locomotion robot that can take this in charge, which will be able to provide less labor costs, less time to build a building and safer environments for workers. The geometric features of steel structure in building construction were carefully analyzed and developed a locomotion mechanism optimized to it. The robot was designed to be rugged, strong, and fast rather than having excessive mobility. Feasibility of the developed robot was verified through experiments.

  • In crane drives, DC motor has been most widely used due to simple control characteristic and favorable transient behavior. Nowadays, however, the squirrel cage induction motor is known as an attractive candidate due to elimination of all sliding electrical contacts, resulting in an exceedingly simple and rugged construction. Especially, in hoist application, the smooth torque control and four quadrant operation are essential. In this paper, an operation of dual inverters with common DC bus fed by vector controlled induction motor is described. Single DSP is employed as a main processor to control dual inverters and communicates each input/output signal with PLC. As well as giving a detailed expression, full simulation and experimental results are presented.
