This paper addresses how to be connected with end-to-end shortcut using ATM Switched Virtual Connection (SVC) in ATM-based Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) Networks. Without additionally existing ATM Ships-in-the-Night (SIN) mode, when the stream is continuously transmitted at the same destination with the lapse of determined aging time, the connection is changed with end-to-end shortcut connection using ATM signaling. An ATM direct short circuit is performed an IP and ATM effective integration. An ATM shortcut has a number of advantages, like higher throughput, shorter end-to-end delay, reduced router load, better utilization of L2 Quality of Service (QoS) capabilities, and route optimization. In particular between other MPLS domains, this can be efficiently improved the performance of networks.

In the next generation backbone networks based on dense-wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM), the routing and wavelength assignment with quality-of-service (QoS) recovery is essentially needed to support a wide range of communication-intensive and real-time multimedia services. This paper proposes a new dpmic routing method called as MW-MIPR (MultiWavelength-Minimum Interference Path Routing), which chooses a route that does not interfere too much with many potential future connection requests. This paper also proposes a differentiated RWA mechanisms combined with MW-MIPR algorithm to provide QoS recovery for various multimedia applications in the next generation backbone networks based on DWDM.

World trade has been increasing continuously in total volume, on the other hand, environmental protection on sea and conservation of fishery resources has been rising up the major issue. All of the world are pushing their efforts two major purposes to the full, one is taking competitive place in marine transportation throughout the world and another Is environment protection. Pusan Port as world leading Port put its all effort in bring more ocean going vessels and securing their traffic route by providing them more information related marine traffics through PTMS in port. During two years of operation, statistics of marine traffic accidents showed that many dynamic casualties such as collisions, groundings, and rammings has been decreased. However, due to increasing cargo volume, limited water area and unpredictable weather condition, potential risks still exist high. In this paper, in order to maximize the efficiency of PTMS and reduce various risks in the future, we examine risk factors over operational results and experience, and propose reasonable operational methods of PTMS.

Routers determine routing path considering network topology and link state information for providing QoS (quality of service) guarantee. Therefore, it is important that routers know link state information to calculate routing path. However, if routers generate link state update messages inordinately, their router performance are reduced due to the process of link state update messages. On the other side, in case that link state information is not updated appropriately, route setup requests can be rejected even though there exist routes. In this paper, we propose an algorithm to improve router performance and evaluate the proposed algorithm performance compare with conventional algorithm by simulations.

Recently, interest in hygiene has been arouse in the health care field. Consequently, Filters with antibacterial agent applied to improve air quality by sterilizing bacteria, fungi, etc. We actually installed antibacterial air filter containing 2.5wt%Ag zeolite on the air intake route to air-conditioner in passenger cu, and evaluated filter's performance on antibacterial effect. By the microbe liquid spattering method, we found that the antibacterial air filter has notably sufficient antibacterial efficiency against standard strains and wild type strains. Antibacterial effect was observed at whole area of filter media by zone of inhibition test. The evaluation of microbe quantity was conducted through mixing dilution plate culture method. In comparison with ordinary filter, the amount of germs attached on antibacterial air filters was larger. The amount of germs attached on ordinary filters was very small since ordinary filters contained less dust. In comparison in antibacterial air filter with thickness, the amount of germs attached on 9mm filter was smaller than that of on 6mm filter. i.e. thicker filter, superior efficiency.

The routes of coastal passenger ships are important in the light of both economic and social view point. Islands around the Korean peninsular can be actually dominated by linking them with land by the ships. The service quality of the route is not high enough to satisfy habitants in the islands. The income of the service-users is increasing so that they expect better service in terms of ship's speed and cabin. The reality is not, however, good to motivate ship-owners to replace aged ships with new and large ones. The situation is caused by low passenger-fare and inefficient management. Therefore the fare should be raised and the fare system should be innovated. And the number of passenger ship companies should be reduced from 42 to 20 by merger and acquisition.

This paper presents the integrated technique of water quality analysis and Geographic Information System(GIS) for assessing the variation of free chlorine residuals by water temperature and supply distance in Sangri water supply system in Daegu. GIS was utilized for mapping projectmap, extraction of a pipeline route, and supply distance. Free chlorine residual is analyzed every month for appraising the seasonal variation. As a result, free chlorine residuals are affected both water temperature and water supply distance, and it becomes worse as water temperature and water supply distance is increased. To maintain 0.4mg/l of free chlorine residual, initial dose concentration should be over 1.85mg/l in summer.

Purpose: This study analyzed the perfume buying behavior of 561 men in their 20s and 30s. Research design, data and methodology: The demographic characteristics of the study subjects were analyzed frequently, the use of perfumes and chi-square tests were performed to identify differences in purchasing behavior, and the Likert 5-point scale was used to measure the importance of the reasons for choosing perfumes. Results: The most commonly used perfume product was Eau de Toilette, which had statistically significant differences with age and education (p<.05). Perfumes were most commonly purchased at health and beauty stores, with statistically significant differences by age, marital status, and education (p<.05). Conclusions: The study subjects have a high purchasing power for perfume products and are proficient in using smart devices, so they have a high level of information through beauty platforms, so they need to promote online products by introducing live commerce, etc.
