도로면 포트홀 유지보수 자동화 장비의 개념디자인 및 경제적 타당성 분석에 관한 연구 (A Conceptual Design and Feasibility Analyses of an Automated Pothole Patching Machine)

  • The primary objective of this study is to develop a conceptual design of automated pothole patching machine that improves the conventional work in safety, quality, and productivity. For this, the following research works are conducted sequentially; 1)literature review, 2)selection of element technology for conceptual design, 3)deduction of work process and conceptual design, 4)life cycle cost analysis of the conceptual design. As a result, X-Y table telescopic manipulator, pothole patching end effector, realtime pothole recognizer, 3D pothole volume profiler, automated pothole patching machine controller are selected as core technologies. Furthermore, a conceptual design and working process of an automated pothole patching machine are developed based on the core technologies. According to the life cycle cost analysis result, the cost of the automated method was 38.3% less than that of the conventional method, and the economic efficiency was also superior(ROR 77.1%, Break-even Point 23.8month). It is expected that the application range and impact on the construction industry will be enormous due to the increasing trend of road maintenance market.

양식 생김의 양륙 작업 개선에 관한 연구 (A study on the improvement of loading and unloading work in laver aquaculture industry)

  • In this study, an automatic system for improving the working environment and increasing production efficiency of a laver aquaculture industry in Korea was developed by combining a hydraulic control system and a load cell in a current landing work of the laver. The improved gathering laver system allowed the automatic gathering process of the laver in the sea with the hydraulic control system connected to a cutting machine of the laver on the operating ship, which has been used for gathering the laver semi-automatically in a form of the traditional farming method. The transporting process of the laver from an operating ship to the land was improved as follows. A frame installed on the operating ship and the bag nets were designed and made to hold about 1,000 kg of the laver inside. The bag nets contain the laver on the improved operating ship were tied in knots and hooked on a crane using a load cell. The weight is measured immediately by lifting the bag nets through the load cell system. Weight information is communicated to the fishermen and successful bidders through the application. The advantages of the improved system can help fishermen to fish by improving their working environment and increasing production efficiency. The field survey to improve the landing operation of the laver aquaculture was conducted in Gangjin, Goheung, Shinan, Wando, Jindo, and Haenam in South Jeonnam Province. A total of 10 sites including Gunsan in Jeonbuk Province, Daebu Island in Ansan City, Jebu Island in Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province, and Seocheon in Chungnam Province were searched to collect data. Prototypes of the system were tested at the auction house of laver located in Goheung, where laver collection using hydraulic control and landing using road cell could be improved.

상용차량의 하중을 측정하기 위한 탑재형 자중계 개발 (Development of Onboard Scales to Measure the Weight of Trucks)

  • Overloaded vehicles increase the maintenance cost of road structures, and they are a major factor in causing damage to the roads and bridges. In addition, overloaded vehicles compromise the braking capability of the vehicle; thus, threatening the safety of the driver. In order to prevent overloading of vehicles, the government is cracking down on the roads by using a device that measures the weight of vehicles. But this process is inconvenient because the place where the equipment is installed is far away from where the cargo is loaded. Due to the limitations of these fixed weighing devices, there is a growing need for technology that can monitor vehicle weight distribution and overload conditions in real time. In this work, we develop an onboard scale that can measure the load (weight) of trucks in real time. The onboard scale consists of high sensors, a signal processing unit, and a display, and it measures the load using height-displacement of the vehicle's leaf spring suspension.

드론 라이다와 영상에 의한 포장 노면의 평탄성 분석 (Roughness Analysis of Paved Road using Drone LiDAR and Images)

  • 도로의 평탄성은 승차감과 직결되는 중요한 요소이며, 도로의 기능평가 및 포장품질 관리를 위한 평가항목이다. 본 연구에서는 지상 LiDAR, 드론 사진측량 및 드론 LiDAR의 최신 3차원 공간정보 구축 기술을 활용하여 도로 노면에 대한 데이터를 취득하고, 각각의 방법에 대한 정확도 및 평탄성을 분석하였다. 정확도 평가 결과 지상 LiDAR는 X, Y, Z 방향으로 각각 0.039m, 0.042m, 0.039m의 RMSE를 나타내었으며 드론 사진측량과 드론 LiDAR는 각각 0.072~0.076m, 0.060~0.068m의 RMSE를 나타내어 측량 및 지도제작 분야에 각각의 방법이 충분히 활용 가능함을 제시하였다. 또한 편평도 분석을 위해 각각의 방법으로 구축된 3차원 공간정보에서 대상 구간에 대한 종방향 경사와 횡방향 경사를 추출하고, 설계값과 비교를 수행하였다. 평탄성 분석 결과 지상 LiDAR는 설계값과 동일한 경사를 나타내었으며, 드론 사진측량 및 드론 LiDAR의 경우 설계값과 다소 차이를 보였다. 도로의 평탄성 분석과 같은 계측 분야에 드론 사진측량 및 드론 LiDAR를 활용하기 위한 정확도를 향상 방안 연구가 필요하다. 향후 정확도 향상을 통한 활용성을 제시할 수 있다면 드론 사진측량 및 드론 LiDAR를 활용하여 취득에 소요되는 시간을 크게 감소시킬 수 있으므로 관련 업무 효율성 향상이 가능할 것이다.

친환경 도로굴착 시공을 위한 도로절단기 개발 (Development of a Pavement Cutter for Eco-friendly Road Excavation Construction)

  • 최근에 우리나라의 도로 하부에 매설된 지하시설물이 노후화되면서, 지하시설물 유지보수 공사 물량이 급증하고 있다. 이러한 도로지하 시설물의 유지관리를 위해서는 도로포장의 절단작업이 선행되어야 한다. 그런데 우리나라에서 사용되는 기존 도로절단기는 친환경적이지 못하며 소음과 절단슬러지(비산먼지)가 많이 발생하는 것이 현실이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 절단슬러지 회수장치의 개념을 도출하고, 이 기능을 포함하는 친환경 도로절단기를 설계·제작하였다. 개발된 장비는 1m를 100~150mm 깊이로 절단하는 데에 20~30초 가량 소요되었다. 또 대부분의 구간에서 슬러지 흡입 성능은 양호하였으며, 2m 거리에서 약식 측정한 장비의 소음도는 평균 82.7dB 수준이었다. 다만 개발된 장비가 1차 프로토타입 수준이라는 한계로 인하여 구동안정성이 다소 낮았고, 시동꺼짐, 슬러지 회수성능 저하 등의 이상현상이 발생하는 경우가 있었다. 향후 개발된 프로토타입의 튜닝 및 개선을 통해 절단성능과 슬러지 회수 기능을 보다 안정시킬 예정이다. 그리고 개선된 프로토타입을 실제 현장 상황에 적용하여, 생산성 등을 정량적으로 비교·분석할 계획이다.

제조실행시스템에서의 BPEL 기반 워크플로우 관리시스템의 적용 (Implementation of BPEL based Workflow Management System in Manufacturing Execution Systems)

  • This paper outlines opportunities and challenges in the implementation of BPEL based WFMS(WorkFlow Management System) for the MES(Manufacturing Execution Systems) in semiconductor manufacturing. At present, the most MESs in semiconductor wafer fabrication shop have the problems in terms of application software integration, reactivity, and adaptability. When a plant has to produce new product mix, remodel the manufacturing execution process, or replace obsolete equipments, the principal road blocks for responding to new manufacturing environment are the difficulties in porting existing application software to new configurations. In this paper, the issues about WFMS technologies including BPEL standard applied for MES are presented. And then, we introduce the integrated development framework named nanoFlow which is optimized for developing the BPEL based WFMS application for automated manufacturing system. And we describe a WFMS implemented with using nanoFlow framework, review and evaluate the system.

기어형 높이 조절식 맨홀 개발 (Development of a Gear-shaped Manhole with Height Adjustment)

  • There are a lot of manholes such as for water supply, sewage, telecommunication cable, traffic sign, electricity supply, and rainwater, etc. Conventional manholes installed on a road are impossible to adjust height, so that they should be entirely excavated to reinstall or repair. This entire excavation of a manhole causes too much time-consuming work, waste of resources, and obstruction of traffic. In this study, in order to solve the above mentioned problems, a cover, outer and inner parts of a manhole are integrated by gear-shaped parts located between outer and inner parts of a manhole. Mechanical design is performed to determine dimension of gear-shaped parts by Taguchi orthogonal array table. Cast molds for a gear-shaped manhole are also manufactured.

  • Metal-bonded diamond impregnated tools are being increasingly used in the processing of stone and ceramics, road repair, petroleum exploration, etc. Although the main tool wear mechanisms have been identified, the scientific background is inadequate and fundamental research has to be carried out to better understand the tool field behaviour. This work addresses the complex issues of modelling abrasive wear of the metallic matrix under laboratory conditions. The generated data indicates that the matrix wear resistance can be assessed in a simple manner; whereas tests carried out on diamond impregnated specimens may aid prediction of the tool life in abrasive applications.

Condition monitoring and rating of bridge components in a rail or road network by using SHM systems within SRP

  • The safety and performance of bridges could be monitored and evaluated by Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) systems. These systems try to identify and locate the damages in a structure and estimate their severities. Current SHM systems are applied to a single bridge, and they have not been used to monitor the structural condition of a network of bridges. This paper propose a new method which will be used in Synthetic Rating Procedures (SRP) developed by the authors of this paper and utilizes SHM systems for monitoring and evaluating the condition of a network of bridges. Synthetic rating procedures are used to assess the condition of a network of bridges and identify their ratings. As an additional part of the SRP, the method proposed in this paper can continuously monitor the behaviour of a network of bridges and therefore it can assist to prevent the sudden collapses of bridges or the disruptions to their serviceability. The method could be an important part of a bridge management system (BMS) for managers and engineers who work on condition assessment of a network of bridges.

작업분류체계를 활용한 하천분야 IFC 확장 개발방안 (The Development Method of IFC Extension Elements using Work Breakdown Structure in River Fields)

  • 최근 도로 사업에 대한 BIM(Building Information Modeling) 의무화 등 토목분야의 BIM 확대 적용이 현실화됨에 따라 BIM 적용과 운영을 위한 기준, 시스템 개발 등 대비가 필요한 시점이다. 토목시설물은 국가 공공시설로서 건설생애주기 데이터를 통합적으로 생산, 공유 및 관리하기 위한 BIM 데이터 표준 개발이 중요하다. 국내외적으로 BIM 데이터 교화표준은 국제표준인 IFC(Industry Foundation Classes)를 활용 및 확장하는 추세이나, 하천시설에 대한 IFC 확장은 진행된 바 없다. 본 연구는 하천분야 IFC 기반 스키마 확장을 위한 기초연구로서, 작업분류체계를 활용한 IFC 확장 개발방안을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 다음과 같은 절차로 연구를 수행하였다. 첫째, IFC 구조와 IFC 스키마 확장개발 선행사례를 분석하여 하천시설 표현을 위한 IFC 확장 개발방안을 선정하였다. 둘째, 하천 WBS(Work Breakdown Structure)를 분석하여 확장할 구성요소를 도출하고 IFC 스키마 상위 구조에 맞게 분류하였다. 셋째, 분류한 하천시설 구성요소를 IFC 클래스 위계와 구성에 맞게 배치하여 하천 IFC 스키마 상위 구조 확장안을 마련하였다. 본 연구는 하천분야 IFC 기반 스키마 확장을 위한 기초연구로서, 제시한 IFC 상위 구조 확장안과 개발방법론을 기반으로 향후 부품 및 부재, 배수시설 요소 등의 추가 개발과 함께 세부 유형과 상세 속성을 도출하여 스키마를 완성해 나갈 예정이다.
