  • Diagnosis is composed of two different but interrelated steps ; retrieving the sensory responses f the system and reasoning the state of the system through the given sensor data. This paper explains the probabilistic nature of reasoning involved in the diagnosis when the uncertainties are inevitably included in experts' diagnostic decision making. Uncertainties in decision making are experts' personal experiences, preferences, and system's coherent characteristics. In order to ensure a consistent decision based on the same responses from the system, expert system technology is adopted with the Bayesian reasoning scheme.

  • The purpose of the study is to develop an integrated knowledge management system for the domains of genome and nano-technology, in which terminology-based literature mining, knowledge acquisition, knowledge structuring, and knowledge retrieval are combined. The system supports integrating different types of databases (papers and patents, technologies and innovations) and retrieving different types of knowledge simultaneously. The main objective of the system is to facilitate knowledge acquisition from documents and new knowledge discovery through a terminology-based similarity calculation and a visualization of automatically structured knowledge. Implementation issue of the system is also mentioned.

  • Currently for the development of internet and network technology, since request of service for the large volume multimedia data has been more increased, multimedia users want the convenience and accuracy of multimedia service system about storing and retrieving of the multimedia contents. To satisfy the request of users, metadata management for the diverse information of multimedia contents is very important. However, the metadata management for the multimedia contents is difficult because the metadata standards are different each other for the type of multimedia data and service. In this paper, we propose the integration metadata management system structure which extends previous metadata management system based on text for the multimedia contents metadata which are expressed differently each other according to the multimedia data or service type.

  • This paper illustrates the process of developing and configuring the prototype Computer Analysis System for Controlling Occupational WORKload (CAS-COWORK). The software interface between the database and expert system was attempted. The database is used for storing and retrieving series of data entered by general users and the expert system is used for identifying and solving occupational problem areas. Two theories were applied in developing the algorithm base of CAS-COWORK that were used to calculate overall workload stress level. The fuzzy set theory was introduced to capture the subject‘s workload stress perception. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) was introduced to estimate the importance of the task and workplace variables. The purpose of the system development is for future prediction and problem solving which would be highly valuable to the industrial engineer.

  • In this paper, we propose a retrieval system using knowledges of database expressed linguistically, where the relation between data are constructed by FCM. Several algorithms have been proposed to solve the major problem in the conventional retrieval system that the system doesn't reply in case of no data equal to user's query, and to express knowledge of database linguistically. This paper proposes the improved method of adding new cluster and the method of retrieving database from user's query. The validity of this retrieval system is shown by applying its algorithm to an example : the mail order service in post office.

  • With the advance of Smart TV technologies, TV watchers can enjoy the Internet and games while watching TV programs. Besides retrieving with some keywords in the Internet, people may want to access local information such as notifications from town, messages from children's schools, shopping information from local marts, and even reminder messages for visiting from hospitals while watching TV without using web-browser. In this paper, we introduce the daily life notification service scenarios and its functional and non-functional requirements. Furthermore, we also propose a system that provides the notification services, consists of smart TV apps and server systems. We also introduce the system architecture and the component design of the system. Our work will help smart TV service developers because this paper will give them some service scenarios, requirements, and system architecture and its component design.

A File/Directory Reconstruction Method of APFS Filesystem for Digital Forensics

  • In this paper, we propose a method of reconstructing the file system to obtain digital forensics information from the APFS file system when meta information that can know the structure of the file system is deleted due to partial damage to the disk. This method is to reconstruct the tree structure of the file system by only retrieving the B-tree node where file/directory information is stored. This method is not a method of constructing nodes based on structural information such as Container Superblock (NXSB) and Volume Checkpoint Superblock (APSB), and B-tree root and leaf node information. The entire disk cluster is traversed to find scattered B-tree leaf nodes and to gather all the information in the file system to build information. It is a method of reconstructing a tree structure of a file/directory based on refined essential data by removing duplicate data. We demonstrate that the proposed method is valid through the results of applying the proposed method by generating numbers of user files and directories.

  • RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) is a method of remotely storing and retrieving data using devices called 'RFID tags'. An RFID tag is a small object, such as an adhesive sticker, that can be attached to or incorporated into a product. RFID tags contain antennas to enable them to receive and respond to radio-frequency queries fro an RFID transceiver. Eventually, RFID SYSTEM is very interesting to watch people live linger than they used to before. Some of reasons for that phenomenon is the improving medical studies. As we live healthier and get to know more about our body, we can extend our lives. This Platform is Physical Health Promotion Service, Home Health Monitoring Service, Mental Health Promotion Service, Home Patient Management Service, Chronic Disease Management Service, Emergency Patient Management Service, Medical Information and Consulting Service of the RFID.

A Prototyping Framework of the Documentation Retrieval System for Enhancing Software Development Quality

  • This paper illustrates a prototyping framework of the documentation-standards retrieval system via the data mining approach for enhancing software development quality. We first present an approach for designing a retrieval algorithm based on data mining, with the three basic technologies of machine learning, statistics and database management, applied to this system to speed up the searching time and increase the fitness. This approach derives from the observation that data mining can discover unsuspected relationships among elements in large databases. This observation suggests that data mining can be used to elicit new knowledge about the design of a subject system and that it can be applied to large legacy systems for efficiency. Finally, software development quality will be improved at the same time when the project managers retrieving for the documentation standards.

  • 최근 소프트웨어 개발비용의 절감과 신뢰성 있는 소프트웨어의 개발을 위하여 컴포넌트 기반의 소프트웨어 개발에 대한 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 컴포넌트 기반의 소프트웨어 개발 시 중요한 문제 중 하나는, 전체 시스템 아키텍쳐에서 어떠한 컴포넌트가 필요하며 아울러 어디에 적합할 것인가를 결정하는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 XML DTD를 관계형 데이터베이스 스키마로의 변환하기 위한 컴포넌트와 XML 문서의 관계형 데이터베이스로의 저장을 위한 컴포넌트 그리고 데이터베이스를 검색하여 XML 문서로 변환키 위한 컴포넌트들을 구현하였고, 이들을 토대로 하여 XML 저장관리시스템을 개발하였다.
