This paper intends to propose the direction for improving the welfare space in crew accommodation of fishing vessels engaged in coastal and inshore fishery business in order to solve the phenomenon which young fishers trend to avoid working on fishing vessels. Coastal and inshore fisheries are defined as permitted fisheries business under the Fisheries Act and classified into coastal fisheries and inshore fisheries based on a gross tonnage of 10 tons. Fisheries Act also stipulates the upper limit tonnage regulation and the restrictions on bottoms of fishing vessels permitted for coastal and inshore fisheries to protect fishery resources and to prevent overfishing. It is difficult to increase the welfare space in crew accommodation of fishers under such restrictions because the welfare space in crew accommodation could be secured by reducing the space for the strength of fishing. Therefore, this paper compares the revision trend of the international convention(The Work in Fishing Convention, 2007) and domestic laws on welfare space in crew accommodation of fishing vessels engaged in coastal and inshore fishery business to find out the problems and improvement points in securing the welfare space in crew accommodation of fishing vessels. As a result, it is proposed to revise the Enforcement Ordinance of the Fisheries Act so as to secure the welfare space in crew accommodation of coastal and inshore fishing vessels within the scope of maintaining the maximum allowable tonnage limit regulation by adding an exemption provisions of the restrictions on bottoms of fishing vessels in which case the gross tonnage is increased for securing the spaces for crew accommodation and sanitary facilities of fishers without increasing net tonnage where the bottoms of fishing vessels is increased by renovating or replacing the fishing vessels bigger than the bottoms of fishing vessels permitted within the scope of maintaining the maximum allowable tonnage limit regulation.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of low-dose gabapentin for interdigital neuroma. Metrials and Methods: Between April 2000 and June 2003, 32 patients (39 feet) with interdigital neuroma were treated with using low-dose gabapentin. Two of the 32 patients were male, and thirty were female, and the average age was 47.4 years. The follow-up was 6 to 44months (mean 15.1 months). All cases were diagnosed by physical examination and ultrasonography or MRI. Low-dose gabapentin (300-600 mg) was prescribed and shoe modification was recommended. The patients were evaluated through questionnaire. Results: Neuroma was found in twenty one cases at the third intermetatarsal space, and thirteen at the second intermetatarsal space. The sensitivity of ultrasonography was 96% and that of MRI was 79%. Overall satisfaction was rated as excellent or good by 18 cases (57%). Average pain relief ratio was 50.3%, and in 14 cases, more than 80% of pain relief was noted. Nine (28%) of 32 patients showed they had no activity restrictions, such as daily activities or work, whereas 8 (25%) had mild restrictions and 15 (47%) had major restrictions. Twelve of 15 patient with major restrictions had been treated operatively (neurectomy; 10 cases, decompression; 2 cases). One case had gastrointestinal problem. Conclusion: Low-dose gabapentin for interdigital neuroma was one of the effective conservative treatments. The operation may be preserved for patient with the persist symptoms, nevertheless the conservative treatments and use of low-dose gabapentin.
When fitting a Cox proportional hazards model with missing covariates, it is inefficient to exclude observations with missing values in the analysis. Furthermore, if the missing-data mechanism is not Missing Completely At Random(MCAR), it may lead to biased parameter estimation. Many approaches have been suggested to handle the Cox proportional hazards model when covariates are sometimes missing, but they are based on the selection model. This paper suggest an approach to handle Cox proportional hazards model with missing covariates by using the pattern-mixture model (Little, 1993). The pattern-mixture model is expressed by the joint distribution of survival time and the missing-data mechanism. In the pattern-mixture model, many models can be considered by setting up various restrictions, and different results under various restrictions indicate the sensitivity of the model due to missing covariates. A simulation study was conducted to show the sensitivity of parameter estimation under different restrictions in a pattern-mixture model. The proposed approach was also applied to mouse leukemia data.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of an educational video program on bowel preparation for a colonoscopy. Methods: The study used a non-equivalent control group and non-synchronized design as a quasi-experimental research involving 101 participants undergoing bowel preparation for a colonoscopy (experimental group 51, control group 50 subjects) at W. university hospital, from Aug. 7 to Oct. 31, 2013. The control group received verbal education with an explanatory note while the experimental group received education using a video program. To measure knowledge of diet restrictions and compliance with ingesting bowel preparation solutions, a questionnaire, based on The Korean Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy's Guide (2003), developed by Sam-Sook You, was used after revisions and supplementation was done. To measure bowel cleanness, the 'Aronchick Bowel Preparation Scale' was adopted. Data were analyzed using the SPSS WIN 12.0 program. Results: A higher proportion of the experimental group showed a positive change in knowledge level on diet restrictions (U=1011.50, p =.035) and ingestion of bowel preparation solutions (U=980.50, p =.019), a higher level of compliance with diet restrictions (U=638.50, p <.001), ingesting bowel preparation solutions (U=668.00, p <.001) and the level of bowel cleanness (${\chi}^2$=17.00, p <.001) than the control group. Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that a video educational program for patients having a colonoscopy can improve knowledge, level of compliance with diet restrictions, ingestion of bowel preparation solutions, and bowel cleanness. Therefore video educational program should be used with this patient group.
Purpose: This survey was aimed to examine the current dietary restrictions practices for neutropenic patients among hospitals with 500 and more beds. Methods: Self-administered questionnaires were sent to 100 head or charge nurses of oncology or hemato-oncology wards by mail during October 2009, and 51 questionnaires were returned. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics using SPSS (WIN version 12.0). Results: Of the hospitals surveyed, 47.1% (n=24) had guidelines on the dietary restrictions, and 80.4% (n=41) placed patients with neutropenia on restricted diets. The major decisional criteria of the dietary restriction was absolute neutrophil count (30.5%) and cooking status (29.2%). The most commonly restricted foods were raw fish or fresh meat (98.0%), uncooked intestine (98.0%), raw eggs (98.0%), draught beer (96.1%), and fresh fruits or vegetables (86.3%). Conclusion: The results showed variation in pattern of dietary restrictions and lower rate of guideline among hospitals, so that the need for the standard dietary restriction guideline is high. However, the role of diet in the development of infection in neutropenic patients is still unclear, which makes it difficult to establish dietary restriction guideline. Therefore, additional research are required to identify the relationship between dietary factors and infections.
This study was performed to investigate impacts of truck lane restrictions on multilane highways on traffic flow variables such as average speed, the frequency of lane changes, and change in traffic volume and also to verify whether or not different lane restriction scenarios were proper. Two types of hypothetical highway networks and OD demands were developed for traffic simulation models in order to conduct the experimental study. Three types of scenarios were also developed according to the number of restricted lanes for trucks. The PARAMICS microscopic traffic simulation software package was used as the primary analytical tool. Statistical analysis was conducted with simulation outputs. Results showed that truck lane restrictions may lead to positive impacts on traffic flow on multilane highways. In addition, this study demonstrated that the number of restricted lanes can be very an important factor to lead successful implementation of truck lane restrictions.
Background and objective: A biosphere reserve is a complex concept that combines the preservation of biodiversity and the sustainable development with the region, outstanding ecosystems with worth conserving in worldwide. The purpose of this study is to suggest the way of zoning that can perform the functions of conservation, development, and logistics support of biosphere reserves. Methods: To meet the purpose of this study, the designation criteria, restrictions, and permissions of the protected area specified in the law for domestic protected areas were reviewed to classify the functions of a biosphere reserve. Results: Through this classification, 10 domestic protected areas with high ecological protection value, such as the natural beauty of the ecosystem, biodiversity, and habitats for wild animals and plants were derived as the core areas of the biosphere reserves. Also, a total of 21 protected zones that can function as a buffer to protect the core of the natural ecosystem from indiscriminate development such as resource protection, recovery, pollution prevention, and improvement were derived as appropriate sites for a buffer. In the review process, issues such as different behavioral restrictions and ranges of permission due to the application of different laws were identified, if two or more protected areas exist within one of the protected areas, there is a protected area that does not meet the criteria for designating use zone, or where behavior restrictions do not meet the zoning criteria of biosphere reserve, under the laws of domestic protected areas. Conclusion: Although this study was not able to carefully review most of the laws on domestic protected areas that are linked to other laws, it was able to categorize appropriate domestic protected areas that can act as the core and buffer zones of biosphere reserves.

The modern stage of society's development is characterized by the rapid penetration of information technologies into all spheres of life. Their use contributes to improving the quality of tourism services, as well as the competitiveness of tourism industry enterprises. The role of information technology in tourism is growing more and more every year, which determines the relevance of the study of modern trends in the use of information technology in the tourism sector. The purpose of the study is to determine the possibilities of using information technologies to improve the quality of services provided to the tourism industry under the COVID-19 restrictions. The article systematizes the main approaches to the "cluster" category and provides an original definition of the "regional tourist cluster" concept. Based on an expert survey, the main trends in the introduction of information technologies in the tourism industry under the COVID-19 restrictions have been identified, which include virtual reality and augmented reality, speech recognition technologies, photo, video, audio (contactless control technologies), mobile IT applications and Big Data technologies. It has been concluded that the vast majority of improvements in the organization of tourism services under restrictions will be based on the organization of virtual solutions and online activities. The types of tourism services will also change, and information technology will help their development and dissemination.
This research aims an optimal placement of Mobile Base Station (MBS) under HAP based network configurations with the restrictions of HAP capabilities. With clustering algorithm based on BIRCH, mobile ground nodes are clustered and the centroid of the clusters will be the location of MBS. The hierarchical structure of BIRCH enables mobile node management by CF tree and the restrictions of maximum nodes per MBS and maximum radio coverage are accomplished by splitting and merging clusters. Mobility models based on Jeju island are used for simulations and such restrictions are met with proper placement of MBS.

Religious intolerance has become a common feature of many countries in recent times. Studies have revealed a worldwide increase in government regulations and social hostilities against religious beliefs and practices. The stifling impact of both government and society on the market for religion, warrants closer scrutiny. This study examines the relationship between government regulations and social hostilities towards religious beliefs and practices, for the period of 2001-2011 for a sample of 45 European countries. The Generalized Method of Moments dynamic panel estimation technique is employed to analyze the micro panel dataset of 45 European countries, to establish the possible relationships that may exist between these variables. The theoretical framework for this study is based on the Religious Economies Theory and the Supply Side Theory of Religion. The results of this study show evidence of the positive relationship between government regulations and social hostility. Interestingly, the study also revealed that the impact of social hostility on the level of government restrictions is smaller in magnitude compared to the reverse impact of government restrictions on social hostilities, indicating the dangerous role played by governments in inciting social hostilities, when they regulate or restrict religious beliefs and practices.
