From the IF (Intermediated Frequency) loop-back test, BER (Bit Error Rate) degradation of processed data, HRIT (High Rate Information Transmission), is estimated by proposed measurement configuration. The specific parameters, likely data rate, FEC (Forward Error Correction), and modulation method, are based on the outcomes of SRR (System Requirements Review) which was held on 13-14 June 2005, in Toulouse. The proposed measurement procedure is that combined 70MHz modulated signal and noise is connected to the spectrum analyzer and receiver. The former measures the C/No (Carrier to Noise density ratio) and the latter estimates BER of FEC decoded data. Implementation loss can be obtained by subtracting measured BER from calculated BER which is also subtracted data rate from measured C/No. This test procedure is very simple and can be applied to assess the implementation loss of dedicated receiver for HRIT in the future.

This paper describes link analysis on the processed data, HRIT (High Rate Information Transmission) and LRIT (Low Rate Information Transmission), for the preliminary design of interface between COMS (Communication, Ocean and Meteorological Satellite) and ground station. At the MODAC (MeteorologicaVOcean Data Application Center), the processed data are transmitted to user station via COMS with normalization and calibration by pre-processing of MI (Meteorological Imager) data. Due to consider satellite as radio relay, overall analysis containing uplink and downlink is needed. Specific link parameters can be obtained with using the outcomes of SRR (System Requirement Review) which was held on 13-14 June 2005, in Toulouse. From the relation between overall link margin and output power of HPA (High Power Amplifier) of MODAC, it is shown that even though the minimum power related with COMS receiving power range is transmitted at MODAC, the obtained link margin of HRIT could be above 3 dB at user station which antenna elevation angle is 10 degree.

Since the solar radiation is the main input for sizing any solar system, it will be necessary to understand and evaluate the insolation data. The horizontal global insolation data have been measured since May, 1982 and direct normal solar insolation data since December 1990 at 16 different sites all over the country and considerable effort has been made for constructing a standard value from measured data at each station. In the results, the average global total solar radiation of the nation is $3,055kcal/m^2.day(12.79MJ/m^2.day)$ and the average clear day direct normal solar beam radiation was $4,600kcal/m^2.day(19.26MJ/m^2.day)$, which indicates possible solar energy application of medium and high temperature technologies with high concentration.
This research discusses knowledge contents needed to build an OLAP system for medical sector, OLAP functionalities from past studies, and a medical intelligence system which is a kind of OLAP. The knowledge requirements which consist of nine contents and OLAP fundamental functionalities are applied to the system. Most past studies have focused on developing a medical data warehouse rather than OLAP. The medical intelligence system supplies health care providers (i.e., doctors, clinicians, researchers and nurses) and non-providers (i.e., managers and business analysts) with multidimensional OLAP functionalities. The system can be used to gain a deeper understanding of specific medical issues. In this research, we focus not on medical data warehouse, but on the technical challenges of designing and implementing an effective medical intelligence system for health care information. An architecture is applied to developing the medical intelligence system for a medical center in order to illustrate its practical usage. Six packages in the developed system are discussed in this research: Explorer, Analyzer, Reporter, Statistician, Visualizer, and Meta Administrator packages. Evaluation of the system and ongoing research directions conclude the research.
Purpose - The purpose of this research is to determine the impact of word of mouth on customer perceived value for restaurants in Malaysia. The objectives of this research include determining how word of mouth (WoM) factors - frequency of word of mouth messages, reputation of word of mouth messenger, richness of word of mouth message, dispersion of word of mouth conversations and manner of word of mouth delivery impact customer perceived value in Malaysian restaurant industry. Research Design, Data, and Methodology - The research follows causal / explanatory research method based on quantitative data. A sample of 150 restaurant customers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia was selected using convenience sampling technique. Likert scale questionnaire is used to collect data and data is analysed using regression analysis through SPSS 22. Results - The statistical analysis revealed that independent variable 'manner of delivery' significantly and positively impacts customer perceived value for restaurants in Malaysia. Conclusions - To build strong positive customer perception, Malaysian restaurants can enhance word of mouth campaigns' 'manner of delivery' by making them passionate, exciting and with high emotional appeal.
Recently, various researches have been attempted to connect or integrate BIM handling construction data and GIS handling spatial data. However, it is hard to interoperate by integration between two data models because characteristics and domains of data models between BIM and GIS are very different. In this research, we propose the platform to secure efficient interoperability between BIM and GIS and define the component technologies and functions of the platform proposed in this research by analyzing the existing commercial softwares.

A major goal of agricultural biotechnology is the discovery of genes or genetic loci which are associated with characteristics beneficial to crop production. This knowledge of genetic loci may then be applied to improve crop breeding. Agriculturally important genes may also benefit crop production through transgenic technologies. Recent years have seen an application of high throughput technologies to agricultural biotechnology leading to the production of large amounts of genomic data. The challenge today is the effective structuring of this data to permit researchers to search, filter and importantly, make robust associations within a wide variety of datasets. At the Plant Biotechnology Centre, Primary Industries Research Victoria in Melbourne, Australia, we have developed a series of tools and computational pipelines to assist in the processing and structuring of genomic data to aid its application to agricultural biotechnology resear-ch. These tools include a sequence database, ASTRA, for the processing and annotation of expressed sequence tag data. Tools have also been developed for the discovery of simple sequence repeat (SSR) and single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) molecular markers from large sequence datasets. Application of these tools to Brassica research has assisted in the production of genetic and comparative physical maps as well as candidate gene discovery for a range of agronomically important traits.

Forest Survey consists of road survey, topographic survey, tree mapping survey, stream survey and also ridge survey. Information from forest survey is important and become essential in preparing base map to be used for forest harvesting planning and control. With the current technologies technique of data processing and mapping from traditionally hand drawn method had shifted to a computer system particularly the use of Computer Aided Design (CAD). This gives great advantages to the forest managers and logging operators. However data processing and mapping duration could be further reduced by integrating CAD with other established software such as Microsoft Excel. This time study to show that there is significance difference in term of duration for data processing and efficiency using AutoCAD in combination with Microsoft Excel program as compare to the use of AutoCAD program alone. From the study, it shows that the integration of AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel is able to reduce 70% of duration for data processing and mapping as compared to the use of AutoCAD program alone.
To deliver new products to market in a due time, companies often develop their products with numerous partners distributed around the world. Internet technologies can provide a cheap and efficient basis of collaborative product development among distributed partners. This paper provides a framework and its product database model that can support consistent product data during collaborative product development. This framework consists of four components for representing consistent product structure: the product configuration, assembly structure, multiple representations and engineering changes. A product database model realizing the framework is designed and implemented as a system that supports collaborative works in the areas of product design and technical publication. The system enables participating designers and technical publishers to complete their tasks with shared and consistent product data. It also manages the propagation of engineering changes among different representations for individual participants. The Web technologies introduced in this system enable participants to easily access and operate shared product data in a standardized and distributed computing environment.
This research is to examine the formative of patterns and characteristics of expression in Danzhai Miao batik of Guizhou China and to reveal the cultural factors and characteristics of artistic expression inherent to it. As the research methodology, theoretical study was done by utilizing the preceding research data, literature data at home and abroad, photo data, and Internet data, and as the empirical research, field trip was made to Guizhou China and investigation and experiment of dyeing techniques, purchase of dyeing craftworks, photography shooting, and interviews were conducted. The results of this research showed that ancient Chinese batik began in Miao in the Jinhan era and the three types of Miao's traditional batik, i.e. Danzhai batik, Huangping batik, Anshun batik. Danzhai Miao batik obtained indigo blue white patterns through traditional production techniques and natural dyeing batik and represented Miao batik of Guizhou. In the expression of Danzhai Miao batik, based on the cultural backgrounds, the formative such as symbolic of patterns, tradition, primitive, reality, abstract, and decorative of dress designs and high dignity of artistry of creative batik patterns be found from the aspect of expressing magnanimous nationality.
