An Empirical Study on the Influence of Flow Experience of Mobile Contents on Repurchase Intention (모바일 콘텐츠 FLOW경험이 재 구매 의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 실증 연구)

  • This study empirically analyze the relationship of user's repurchase intentions directly and indirectly as combining user acceptance and flow experience on mobile content services. 360 users who experienced mobile contents are intended for this study, and results of this study expect to contribute a strategic approach to the mobile content application markets and to help the industries related to mobile contents understand the consumer behavior.

Influence of Economic Value and Information Quality on Repurchase Intention in Social Commerce based on Motivation Theory (소셜커머스의 경제적 가치와 정보품질이 재구매의도에 미치는 영향 : 동기이론을 기반으로)

  • Purpose: In Korea, market size of social commerce has been increased steadily and highly, but profits of social commerce companies have been decreased because of excessive marketing cost. To overcome this stagnant market environment, new marketing strategy that could attract customers and make customers continue to use social commerce is required instead of cost consuming marketing strategy. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship among characteristics of social commerce - that is, economic value and information quality - usefulness, enjoyment, satisfaction and repurchase intention by applying motivation theory to the area of social commerce. Design/Methodology/Approach: Previous researches have been studied by applying Expectation-Confirmation Model (ECM), Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) Model, although there are many studies related with customer acceptance model in the field of e-commerce. However, there is not so many studies in applying motivation theory. So this study adopts new approach to examine why customers use social commerce based on motivation theory. Thus, this study adopts economic value and information quality as antecedents, and then customers will perceive extrinsic and intrinsic motivation; usefulness is extrinsic and enjoyment is intrinsic, and adopts satisfaction and repurchase intention as a dependent variable. The data of questionnaire were collected from customers who have experience to buy something in social commerce. 228 questionnaires as data unit of individual level were collected using random sampling. Findings: This study proved empirically that the relationship between antecedents and motivation factors has a positive influence, and motivation factors also have a positive influence on repurchase intention through satisfaction. This study provides the managers an insight that social commerce companies should pay more attention to improve customer satisfaction in order to increase higher performance in repurchase intention of social commerce.

  • In micro marketing promotion, it is important to know the behavior of customers. In this study we are interested in the forecasting of repurchase of customers from customers' behavior. By analyzing the cosmetic transaction data we derive some variables which play an important role in the knowledge of the customers' behavior and in the modeling of repurchase. As modeling tools we use the decision tree, logistic regression and neural network model. Finally we decide to use the decision tree as a final model since it yields the smallest RASE (root average squared error) and the greatest correct classification rate.

Will My Customers Come Back? A Study of Beauty Salons in Taiwan

  • Purpose - The beauty salon industry is a highly competitive market. Every beauty salon shop aims to keep its customers satisfied and hopes that they will revisit several times. Hence, this paper investigates the key factors affecting the repurchase intention of consumers in the beauty salon industry in Taiwan. Research design, data, and methodology - We first use the content analysis of free-response narratives from beauticians to classify the key factors objectively and develop the questionnaire accordingly. We then distribute the questionnaire to 130 beauty salon consumers to complete the questionnaire. Next, the Grey Relation Analysis is employed to identify the key factors that affect the repurchase intention of consumers in the beauty salon industry. Results - From the perspectives of the beauty salon customers, the factors affecting the repurchase intention of consumers are (1) obvious treatment results, (2) the treatment space considers personal privacy, (3) the offer of promotional prices for treatment/product trials, and (4) the product knowledge of the beauticians. From the perspectives of the beauticians, the factors include (1) the treatment space is well-designed and makes the customers feel relaxed, (2) enhancement of the customer relationship, (3) the treatment space considers personal privacy, and (4) the positive service attitude of the beauticians. Conclusions - We analyze all the key factors and offer some suggestions as a conclusion.

The Effects of Internet Shopping Mall Attributes and Regret on the Complaining Behavior and Repurchase Intentions (인터넷 쇼핑몰 속성 지각과 후회가 불평 행동과 재구매 의도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study focused on examining methods for the favorable relationship between internet shopping mall and customers from a point of view that it was necessary for internet fashion market getting faced with keen competition to change its marketing focus from securing new customers to customer retention strategies. Measurement instruments were selected to measure these variables and a questionnaire was made. Data was collected in 491 men and women in their twenties residing in Gwangju city using the questionnaire. The analysis results were summarized as follows: First, in the failure to purchase fashion products in internet shopping mall, as consumer's favorable internet shopping attributes, their possibility of complaining and repurchase intentions became higher, and had negative effect on regret and dissatisfaction. Second, attributions of the result of a failure to purchase fashion products in internet shopping mall were found to increase regret and dissatisfaction. Third, customers experiencing regret and dissatisfaction showed a very high possibility of complaining but their possibility of repurchase intentions had negative affect.

Effect of Modified Livecommercescapes on Repurchase Intention: Mediating Roles of Perceived Usefulness and Flow (수정된 라이브커머스 스케이프가 재구매의도에 미치는 영향: 지각된 유용성과 플로우의 매개역할 )

  • Purpose: This study used the SOR model to analyze the impact of live commerce's modified livecommercescape factors (interactivity, presence, playfulness, convenience, and broadcaster characteristics) on repurchase intention through usefulness and flow. Research design, data, and methodology: 1,149 respondents with live commerce purchase experience were collected through an online survey, and the collected data was analyzed with SPSS 25.0 and SmartPLS 4.0 statistical package programs. Results: Presence and playfulness were found to have the highest influence on flow and usefulness. In particular, Presence and broadcaster characteristics were found to be the factors that had the greatest influence on flow. Playfulness was found to have the greatest impact on usefulness, and two-way communication was found to have the lowest influence among the five servicescape factors. Broadcaster characteristics also affect flow but not usefulness, and convenience only affects usefulness and does not affect flow. Flow shows results that affect usefulness and repurchase intention. Conclusion: Our findings provide a richer understanding of causal relationships within the SOR framework, demonstrating that broadcaster characteristics, two-way communication, presence, and playfulness can influence flow, perceived usefulness, and, consequently, consumer purchasing behavior.

Exploring the Personal Innovativeness Construct: The Roles of Ease of Use, Satisfaction and Attitudes

  • The use of global mobile technology has increased exponentially. In particular, a survey of consumers in the Philippines showed that 83% "could not live" without their mobile phones. We investigated factors, such as ease of use and personal innovativeness, to elucidate the consumer adoption of mobile technologies in the Philippines, to integrate existing adoption theories for academics and provide recommendations to practitioners based on our findings. Our research questions are as follows: (1) What key factors drive adoption of mobile technologies by Filipino consumers?; (2) Are Filipino consumers innovative in their use of mobile technologies?; And (3) How can telecom companies retain their customers? A structural equation model, which was built from a survey of 528 mobile Filipino consumers, showed support for repurchase intention to use mobile technologies. The hypotheses were generally supported by variables related to mobile phone usage with the Philippine consumer sample. Results support all of the hypothesized relationships for consumers using mobile technologies. Personal innovativeness did load on both attitude and repurchase intention for mobile applications as originally hypothesized but was strongly loaded for attitude toward using. This research is a first step in understanding the adoption of mobile applications by Filipino consumers. We initially hypothesized that consumer behavior toward mobile applications would involve constructs of innovativeness, ease of use, and satisfaction; however, we found that ease of use was less significant in understanding repurchase intention to use mobile technologies. Personal innovativeness was more important in explaining satisfaction with mobile application attitudes and repurchase intention. The Filipino context of this study also provides other interesting implications. As the Philippines transitions into a more international market, western products start to guide market behavior, particularly consumer adoption.

Purchasing Behavior of the Latest Trendy Color Bags - Focusing on Purchase Motives, Purchase Types, Satisfaction and Repurchase Intention - (최신 유행색 가방 구매행동 - 구매동기, 구매유형, 만족도 및 재구매 의도를 중심으로 -)

  • This study identified factors for purchase motives in regards to the latest trendy color bags as well as ascertained the structural relations of purchasing behavior in regards to purchase motives, purchase type, satisfaction, and repurchase intention. Other purposes examined the differences in purchase motivations, purchase types, satisfaction, and repurchase intention according to consumer characteristics, and provided strategic information on women's bag manufacturers and retailers. A random sampling method collected data based on a survey of Korean women between the ages of 20 and 59 who had purchased the latest trendy color bag. A questionnaire developed by the researcher was distributed to 450 women in 2013. We analyzed 433 questionnaires using the SPSS 18.0 program and AMOS 18.0 program. The summarization of the findings are as follows. First, purchase motives for the latest trendy color bags were classified into 5 factors: awareness-symbolicity, practicality, aesthetic, harmony, and fashionability. Second, aesthetic and harmony showed significant influenceson planned purchases due to an analysis of structural relations between purchase motives for the latest trendy color bags and type of purchase; in addition, awareness-symbolicity, aesthetic and fashionability significantly influenced unplanned purchases. Third, there was no significant influence for planned purchases on satisfaction; however, unplanned purchases showed a significant.

Analysis of Factors Affecting the Continuance Intention to Use Mobile Grocery Shopping (모바일 식품구매 서비스의 지속사용의도에 관한 연구)

  • Purpose This paper attempts to explain the recent expanding trend in Mobile Grocery Shopping(MGS). More specifically, the authors have applied the Post Acceptance Model(PAM) in order to examine the conceptual structure among the four constructs of 'Expectation Confirmation', 'Perceived Usefulness', 'User Satisfaction', and 'Continuance Intention to Use' in Mobile Grocery Shopping. Design/methodology/approach Through a survey agency, data were collected from a sample of 312 consumers who had the previous experience in Mobile Grocery Shopping. The Structural Equation Modeling(SEM) analysis was conducted with the survey data using AMOS 22.0. Subsequently, 8,200 real customer data from an open market site were collected in order to find out their revisit and repurchase behavior. Findings This study supported the causal relationships of Expectation Confirmation → Perceived Usefulness, Expectation Confirmation → User Satisfaction, Perceived Usefulness → User Satisfaction, and User Satisfaction → Continuance Intention to Use, but did not support the direct effect of Perceived Usefulness on the Continuance Intention to Use Mobile Grocery Shopping. This implies that consumers with any experience in Mobile Grocery Shopping would not consider repurchase, unless they are satisfied with the experience even though they perceive its usefulness. Also, Expectation Confirmation has much larger effect on User Satisfaction than Perceived Usefulness. In addition, the real customer data showed that the revisit and the repurchase rate of mobile grocery shoppers were higher than those of online grocery shoppers, although the rates of adding to shopping carts, coupon downloads, and adding to favorites are similar.
