영월 고씨동굴관광지 리모델링을 위한 관광객 및 지역주민 의견에 관한 조사 연구 (A Survey Study on the Opinions of Tourists and Local Residents for the Remodelling of Youngwol Gossi-cave Area)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate and analyse the opinions of tourists and local commercial residents for remodelling of Youngwol Gossi-cave area so that to find the way how to activate it. Therefore this study has been focused on the opinions of tourists to visit it, local merchants to sell goods and foods and officers to take charge of the control office. The present conditions of Gossi-cave area are stagnated since the service level is low by the excessive competition among the local merchants. As a result, the inner troubles have arisen among the local merchants. Therefore firstly the sustainable and future-oriented remodelling development of Youngwol Gossi-Cave area is required. And then the basic remodelling plan of participant type to be centered with tourists and local residents as the central figures through local residents' ability strengthening must be established. Lastly the basic remodelling plan through the connection of surrounding tour resources and the resource increase of local amenities must be established. Also it is necessary for the conversion as a tour place of sojourn by supplying with various shows through connections among surrounding tour resources worthy of seeing and the creation of concept to provide the excitement through the education and experience in a basic remodelling plan direction of Youngwol Gossi-cave area.

  • The purpose of this research is to analyse the relationship between the types of supplied apartment plans and the dweller's remodelling of their housework space. Major findings of this research are as fellows: 1. The concept of house wort space has been greatly changed according to the evolution of socio-economic situation. 2. Increasing trend of remodelling activities for house work space is closely related with the housewife's changing attitude on the concept of house work, that is, the change from hard labor to enjoyable object. 3. The concern for house work space remodelling has been increased since 1980's, which is closely related with the appearance of consumer oriented housing market environment.

  • Various acts, regulations and rules on the Apartment remodelling are established in Korea. Because, of these acts, reconstruction of Apartment is restrained and on the contrary Remodelling of Apartment is cumins issue. But, because of agreement of all resident for Apartment remodelling and a rule for the development restrict permission, extension of apartment is actually impracticable. Therefore, various regulations on the remodelling is investigated, problems on the current remodelling system are analysed, and improving system for activating apartment remodeling is suggested in this study.

  • Bone is a dynamic tissue that is constantly being remodelled. Resolution of bone and formation of new bone are closely linked, so that bone mass remains constant. With age, this process becomes unlinked with an imbalance in bore resorption and formation that results in a net loss of bone. Especially, osteoporosis is a disease characterized by low bone mass with age. One form of aging-related primary osteoporosis is postulated with the reduction of circulating estrogen, rapid bone loss occurs as a result of enhanced bore remodelling with an excess of resorption over bore formation. The oxidative stress is also involved in the pathogenesis of osteoporosis. Oxidative stress by cytokines, such as IL-a and TNF-${\alpha}$, inhibits osteoblast function in vitro and stimulates osteoblast apoptosis resulting in an imbalance in bore remodelling. The present article reviews the current perspectives on the interaction between bone remodelling and factors such as estrogen and oxidative stress, providing an interpretation of bone diseases in a view of molecular mechanisms.

  • The physical factor having a great influence among components of making values of profit model in apartment houses is equilibrium change of house and this study suggests an alternative of remodelling. It sets profit models including model dividing household of large scale into that of small scale using value making factor of apartment house and spatial composition techniques and model integrating households of small scale and converting them into those of large scale and finds that its economy is good as over 'average', evaluative value of economy is reduced as discount rate increases and economy of remodelling is superior.

기존 사무소건축의 IB화를 위한 리모델링 작업범위 (The Work Scope of Remodelling for the Intelligent Office Building)

  • The IB is normally defined in terms of BA, OA, security system, information processing and telecommunications services However, the buildings being already in existence are deficient in two areas. One of these areas is building envelope and plan. The other area is mechanical, electrical and structural systems which do not provide the environmental quality required by IB. Existing technology and design knowledge are available to address these deficiencies. Especially, the office buildings being already in existence must meet IB requirement in order to achieve desirable office environment. They are a building envelope, moisture control, properly-located windows, shafts for duct, telephone and electric closets and acoustical environments. In this paper, a new approach to construct the work scope of remodelling the office building being already existence is described by contrasting the building performance criteria of IB. It concludes by speculating on the consequences of extrapolating the results of study to remodelling the office building being already existence.

Aortic Remodelling in Chronic Nicotine-Administered Rat

  • Vascular remodelling is an adaptive mechanism, which counteracts pressure changes in blood circulation. Nicotine content in cigarette increases the risk of hypertension. The exact relationship between nicotine and vascular remodelling still remain unknown. Current study was aimed to determine the effect of clinically relevant dosage of nicotine (equivalent to light smoker) on aortic reactivity, oxidative stress markers and histomorphological changes. Twelve age-matched male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into two groups, i.e.: normal saline as control or 0.6 mg/kg nicotine for 28 days (i.p., n=6 per group). On day-29, the rats were sacrificed and the thoracic aorta was dissected immediately for further studies. Mean arterial pressure (MAP) and pulse pressure (PP) of nicotine-treated vs. control were significantly increased (p<0.05). Nicotine-treated group showed significant (p<0.05) increase tunica media thickness, and decrease in lumen diameter, suggesting vascular remodelling which lead to prior hypertension state. The phenylephrine (PE)-induced contractile response in nicotine group was significantly higher than control group ($ED_{50}=1.44{\times}10^5M$ vs. $4.9{\times}10^6M$) (p<0.05~0.001). However, nicotine-treated rat showed significantly lower endothelium-dependent relaxation response to acetylcholine (ACh) than in control group ($ED_{50}=6.17{\times}10^7M$ vs. $2.82{\times}10^7M$) (p<0.05), indicating loss of primary vascular function. Malondialdehyde (MDA), a lipid peroxidation marker was significantly higher in nicotine group. Superoxide dismutase (SOD) enzymatic activity and glutathione (GSH) were all reduced in nicotine group (p<0.05) vs. control, suggesting nicotine induces oxidative imbalance. In short, chronic nicotine administration impaired aortic reactivity, probably via redox imbalance and vascular remodelling mechanism.

Computational predictions of improved of wall mechanics and function of the infarcted left ventricle at early and late remodelling stages: comparison of layered and bulk hydrogel injectates

  • Acellular intra-myocardial biomaterial injections have been shown to be therapeutically beneficial in inhibiting ventricular remodelling of myocardial infarction (MI). Based on a biventricular canine cardiac geometry, various finite element models were developed that comprised an ischemic (II) or scarred infarct (SDI) in left ventricular (LV) antero-apical region, without and with intra-myocardial biomaterial injectate in layered (L) and bulk (B) distribution. Changes in myocardial properties and LV geometry were implemented corresponding to infarct stage (tissue softening vs. stiffening, infarct thinning, and cavity dilation) and injectate (infarct thickening). The layered and bulk injectate increased ejection fraction of the infarcted LV by 77% (II+L) and 25% (II+B) at the ischemic stage and by 61% (SDI+L) and 63% (SDI+B) at the remodelling stage. The injectates decreased the mean end-systolic myofibre stress in the infarct by 99% (II+L), 97% (II+B), 70% (SDI+L) and 36% (SDI+B). The bulk injectate was slightly more effective in improving LV function at the remodelling stage whereas the layered injectate was superior in functional improvement at ischemic stage and in reduction of wall stress at ischemic and remodelling stage. These findings may stimulate and guide further research towards tailoring acellular biomaterial injectate therapies for MI.

세월호 증개축 전후 승선객의 피난성능 예측비교 (Comparative Study on Predictions of Passengers' Evacuation Performances Before and After the Remodelling of MV SEWOL)

  • 여객선에서는 승선자의 안전이 가장 중요함에도 불구하고 국내에서는 인간의 피난행동특성을 반영한 피난성능에 관한 기준이 없다. 본 연구에서는 세월호 증개축 전후의 인적피난안전성을 비교 평가하고 이를 통해 현재 기준의 문제점을 도출하고자 하였다. 연구성과를 정리하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 증개축 전후의 소집장소 면적은 동일하였고, 이 면적은 모두 국내 관련 기준을 만족하는 것으로 평가되지만, 인간의 행동특성을 반영한 인적안전피난시뮬레이션 툴을 활용하면 소집이 불가능한 것으로 판단된다. 둘째, 증개축 전후 선내 공간구성에 대해 각 선실에서 퇴선까지의 피난소요시간예측 시뮬레이션을 50회씩 수행한 결과 힐링각 $0^{\circ}$ 경우에는 모두 SOLAS의 허용기준이내이므로 승객 전원이 충분히 피난할 수 있을 것으로 평가되지만, 힐링각이 $20^{\circ}$인 긴급한 상황에서 피난을 개시할 경우에는 모두 SOLAS의 주간기준은 만족하지만, 야간기준은 만족하지 못하는 것으로 예측되었다. 모든 경우에서 증축 후인 세월호의 피난시간 확률분포가 Naminoue호의 피난시간 확률분포보다 분산되어 있는데 이는 증축후 피난환경이 열악해졌다는 의미이다.

소아에서 하악과두 골절의 보존적 치료 후 골개조 (REMODELLING AFTER CONSERVATIVE TREATMENT OF THE MANDIBULAR CONDYLAR FRACTURES IN CHILDREN)

  • The management of mandibular condylar fractures in children has long been a matter of controversy. The fracture, if not treated appropriately, may result in complications such as disturbance of mandibular growth and temporomandibular joint ankylosis. They are usually treated nonsurgically, which has been proved to be satisfactory in the long term results. Nineteen children with 25 condylar fractures experienced during their growth period (age at trauma from 10 months to 12 years, mean 7.0 years) were studied. All patients were treated by arch bars and intermaxillary fixation for $7{\sim}14$ days. They have been evaluated with clinical and radiographic examination. The maximum mouth opening and lateral movement of the mandible were within normal limits. There was no malocclusion or ankylosis. Beginning of remodelling was evident at postoperative $1{\sim}3$ months. Remodelling of the condyle was good in 21, while partial adjustment occured in the other 4 condyles. These results suggest that the conservative treatment of condylar fractures in growing children results in good functional results and good remodelling of the condyle.
