Recently, one of the research topics is wireless Ad-Hoc network minimizing power consumption because of limited power. We propose optimal power allocation scheme of each transmit node and derive performance analysis of system that recently designed Double opportunistic relay system which fixed branch receiver to use more than efficient power consumption. Optimal power location scheme is shown that outage probability has always better performance than equal power allocation. Furthermore, we are known that outage probability is minimized by increasing average transmit relays to obtain the diversity gain when average channel power gain is less.
It is expected, in the near future, that the use of distributed generation systems should be increased considerably. In this case, distance relay algorithm should be developed in the manner that it can reduce the error due to the in-feed effect. This paper presents a method to consider the fault current rushed from the remote end of a line. In the steady-state, the relays in both ends exchange the voltages of upper nodes. If a fault is perceived, the relay calculates fault location taking the fault current from the remote end by using voltage data of the remote ends obtained just before the fault. Even though this method has inevitable error, it can show more precise fault allocation. The suggested method is applied to a typical transmission system with two power sources in both ends to verify its effectiveness.

The Cognitive Radio (CR) paradigm in tactical ad hoc networks is an important element of future military communications for network-centric warfare. This paper presents a novel Cognitive Link State Routing protocol for CR-based tactical ad hoc networks. The proposed scheme provides prompt and reliable routes for Primary User (PU) activity through procedures that incorporate two main functions: PU-aware power adaptation and channel switching. For the PU-aware power adaptation, closer multipoint relay nodes are selected to prevent network partition and ensure successful PU communication. The PU-aware channel switching is proactively conducted using control messages to switch to a new available channel based on a common channel list. Our simulation study based on the ns-3 simulator demonstrates that the proposed routing scheme delivers significantly improved performance in terms of average end-to-end delay, jitter, and packet delivery ratio.
Cooperative hybrid-automatic repeat request (HARQ) protocols, which can exploit the spatial and temporal diversities, have been widely studied. The efficiency of cooperative HARQ protocols is higher than that of cooperative protocols because retransmissions are only performed when necessary. We classify cooperative HARQ protocols as three decode-and-forward-based HARQ (DF-HARQ) protocols and two amplified-and-forward-based HARQ (AF-HARQ) protocols. To compare these protocols and obtain the optimum parameters, two unified frameworks are developed for protocol analysis. Using the frameworks, we can evaluate and compare the maximum throughput and outage probabilities according to the SNR, the relay location, and the delay constraint. From the analysis we can see that the maximum achievable throughput of the DF-HARQ protocols can be much greater than that of the AF-HARQ protocols due to the incremental redundancy transmission at the relay.
The fault location algorithm based on wavelet transform was developed to locate the fault more accuracy after the operation of relay. The stationary wavelet transform(SWT) was introduced instead of conventional discrete wavelet transform(DWT) because SWT has redundancy properties which is more useful in noise signal processing. The algorithm was based on the correlation of wavelet coefficients at multi-scales. Fault location algorithm was tested by simulation on real power cable system. From these results, the fault can be located even in very difficult situations, such as at different inception angle and fault resistance.
Distance relay is operated in calculating line impedance. It can be worked accurately in overhead line. However, power cables or combined transmission lines need compensation for calculated impedance because cable systems have sheaths, grounding wires and sheath voltage limiters(SVLs) Neuro-fuzzy can be viewed either as a fuzay system, a neural network or fuzzy neural network and it can estimate the location of the fault accurately. In this paper, fault section and fault location can be classified and estimated in neuro- fuzzy inference system and neural network.
This paper focuses on a development of a sensor system measuring locations of a vehicle to localize a mobile robot while it tracks on the track (location sensor) . Also it focuses on a system configuration identifying the vehicle's orientation and distance from the object while it is stationary at certain station (position sensor) . As for the location sensor it consists of a set of sensors with a combined guiding and counting sensor, and an address-coded sensor to localize the vehicle while moving on the rail. For the position sensor a PSD (Position Sensitive Device) sensor with photo-switches sensor to measure the offset and orientation of the vehicle at each station is introduced. Both sensor systems are integrated with a microprocessor as a data relay to the main computer controlling the vehicle. The location sensor system is developed and its performance for a mobile robot is verified by experiments. The position measuring system is proposed and is robust to the environmental variation. Moreover, the two kinds of sensor systems guarantee a low cost application and high reliability.

In this paper, we consider a two-way relay (TWR) system, where two user nodes exchange their information within two transmission phases, by the help of a relay node adopting physical layer network coding. In the system, two users transmit their binary phase shift keying symbols simultaneously in the first phase, and the relay node decodes the XORed version of two user data and broadcasts it back to two users in the second phase. The performance of the system is analyzed in terms of the average end-to-end symbol error probability in Nakagami-m fading channels, for which a tight upper bound is derived in a closed form to provide an accurate and handy estimate on the performance. The results show that our upper bounds are almost indistinguishable from simulation results for various channel and system configurations. In addition, the optimal relay location and power allocation for various conditions can be obtained quickly with our analysis.

In this paper, we propose a new positioning scheme for accuracy improvement of Relay-based Navigation System. The conventional relay-based system occurs larger vertical error than horizontal one due to structural characteristics that positioning references are located toward same direction and a location of user is estimated by triangulation technique. In the proposed positioning scheme, the user position is reestimated using an additional virtual reference which is generated based on position information of reference stations in navigation signals and estimated initial user position. The nearest reference station from the estimated user position is selected as a virtual reference to minimize the effect of geometrical factor. The vertical error decreases by using reference points on multi planes, therefore, accurate positioning is possible than the conventional scheme. We demonstrated that the accuracy of a user is improved through simulation results.

The prompt and accurate location determination of the nodes of the wireless indoor shipboard networks is crucial to forming the stable wireless shipboard sensor networks. To this end in this paper it can be achieved through the measurement of the bi-directional channel qualities among the nodes after the locations of the sensor nodes temporarily placed. For the 1st stage the piconet-type sensor networks are considered to measure the channel qualities between a specific node and the cluster node which is the master node. After finishing the 1st stage measurement the nodes needing the relay nodes are selected and the measurement action goes into the 2nd stage. In the 2nd stage the measurement between a candidate relay node and the node needing a relay node starts to begin. After the 2nd stage the relay nodes to connect to the cluster node are fixed and the information delivery paths between a node and the cluster head are established. In this paper the measurement results in the realistic environment are gathered and analysed to show that the measurement procedure can be applied in the wireless indoor shipboard networks.
