2-Hydroxyethyl methacrylate(HEMA) was copolymerized with allyltrimethylsilane- (ATMS) and allylt.imethoxysilane(ATMOS) at 70。C in N, N'dimethylformamide- (DMV) using $\alpha$ , $\alpha$'-azobisisobutyronitrile(AIBN). The compositions of unreacted monomers were determined by gas chromatographic analysis. The monomer reactivity ratios were determined by Fireman-Ross, Helen-Tiidus and intersection methods. The average values are as follows : $$r_1(HEMA) : 6.62 $\pm$ 0.07, r_2(ATMS) : 0.07 $\pm$ 0.01 for HEMA-ATMS system.$$$$r_l(HEMA) : 4.09 $\pm$ 0.14, r_2(ATMOS) : 0.06 $\pm$ 0.01 for HEMA-ATMOS toys tem.$$ The lower rl(HEMA) In the HEMA-ATMOS system as compared to HEMA ATMS system may be contributed to higher relative reactivity of ATMOS toward the poly(HEMA) radical. The compositions of synthesized copolymers were determined from silicon con tents estimated gravimetrically. The thermal stabilities of the copolymers were investigated by thermogravimetry(TG). The enthalpic changes associated with the endothermic transition were evaluated by differential scanning calorimetry(DSC). The swelling properties of the copolymers in water were also investigated.
This paper shows the verification work of SARAX code system in the reactor core transient calculation based on the simplified EBR-II Benchmark. The SARAX code system is an analysis package developed by Xi'an Jiaotong University and aims at the advanced reactor R&D. In this work, a neutron-photon coupled power calculation model and a spatial-dependent reactivity feedback model were introduced. To verify the models used in SARAX, the EBR-II SHRT-45R test was simplified to an ULOF transient with an input flowrate change curve by fitting from reference. With the neutron-photon coupled power calculation model, SARAX gave close results in both power fraction and peak power prediction to the reference results. The location of the hottest assembly from SARAX and reference are the same and the relative power deviation of the hottest assembly is 2.6%. As for transient analysis, compared with experimental results and other calculated results, SARAX presents coincident results both in trend and absolute value. The minimum value of core net reactivity during the transient agreed well with the reported results, which ranged from -0.3$ to -0.35$. The results verify the models in SARAX, which are correct and able to simulate the in-core transient with reliable accuracy.
Two kinds of clinker liquid melts, one containing 2.0% of $K_2O$ and the other without $K_2O$, were prepared with the similar composition as those developed during the firing of portland cement clinker. One portion of melt was quenched and found to consist of glass together with traces of proto-$C_3A$, and the other portion was allowed to cool spontaneously to crystallize $C_3A$ and calciumferrite well. The product obtained by crystallization of the melt without $K_2O$showed cubic $C_3A$, while orthorhombic $C_3A$ was formed from the crystallized product containing $K_2O$. Studies on the hydration behavior of the samples made from the melts with 30% of gypsum were carried out for 24 hours by observation at regular intervals ettringite, monosulphate hydrates and gypsum which were formed or consumed during hydration. The samples without $K_2O$ in the melts were hydrated wth addition of proper amount of $K_2SO_4$ in the water for hydration. Hydration behavior of glassified $C_3A$ showed that it has low reactivity relative to crystallized $C_3A$, and also hydration reactivity of orthorhombic $C_3A$ was much lower than that of cubic $C_3A$ in 60 minutes. Potassium sulphate in the solution reduced the hydration reactivity of $C_3A$ . Evolution peaks of hydration heat examined by twin-type conduction micro-calorimeter showed that glassified $C_3A$ without $K_2O$ had secondary peak after 9 hours and $C_3A$ containing $K_2O$ after 12 hours. When crystallized $C_3A$ was hydrated, initial peaks of hydration heat were considerably high and there was no secondary peak for cubic $C_3A$ but the secondary peak of orthorhombic $C_3A$ appeared after 4 hours.
The effect of acid treatment of cellulose on the substitution charateristics of carboxymethylation was studied in this paper. Five samples of hydrocellulose(HC), all prepared from ${\alpha}$-cellulose by hydrolysis with five reaction times and determined on average molecular weight and polydispersity, were carboxymethylated to carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC). The CMCs from HCs were examined upon degree of substitution(DS), distribution of carboxymethyl groups in anhydroglucose units of the cellulose, and unsubstituted anhydroglucose(USAG) content. The DS of CMCs increased with increasing the hydrolysis time except CMC from HC at 1 hour hydrolysis time. In carboxymethylation the availability of hydroxyl groups on anhydroglucose units in HCs was the highest on OH(2), and the relative availability of OH(6) increased with the increasing of the hydrolysis time. The USAG contents were more deviated than that calculated based on Spurlin's model, and had a strong tendency of decreasing with increasing the hydrolysis time. The reactivity of HC was lower than that of ${\alpha}$-cellulose and the relative availability of OH(6) in HC increased with the hydrolysis time.
The immobilization technique is important to extend the application field of a photocatalyst. Titanium surface was changed into a $TiO_2$ thin film by the anodizing process. The anodized $TiO_2$ had photocatalytic activity, and showed sponge like shape. The photocatalytic degradation of gas phase acetaldehyde and VOCs by anodized titania has been studied in various initial concentrations, humidity and discharge potentials. The reactivity of anodized titania was increased with relative humidity, but excessive humidity led to a decrease of the reaction rate. The electric dark discharge that was combined with photocatalytic reaction enhanced the decomposition rate of the organic compounds. But excessively applied voltage caused corona discharge, which decreased the reaction rate. Optimum relative humidity was 40% and discharge potential was 5 kV under dark discharge region in photocatalytic reaction.

Hemispheric asymmetry in prefrontal activation have been proposed in two decades ago, as measured by electroencephalographic (EEG) power in the theta band (4-8Hz), is related to reactivity to affectively pleasure audio stimuli. In this study, we designed an emotional audio stimulus experiment in order to verify frontal EEG asymmetry by analyzing ERSP results. Thirty healthy college students volunteered the stimulus experiment with the standard IADS affective sounds. These affective sound clips are classified in three emotion states, happy, neutral and fear. ERSP image results revealed that there are the stronger responses of high arousal (fear and happy) in the left prefrontal lobe, while the stronger responses of low arousal (neutral) in the right pre-frontal lobe. However, the high pleasure emotions (happy) can elicit greater relative right EEG activity, while the low and middle pleasure emotions (fear and neutral) can elicit the greater relative left EEG activity. Additionally, the most response differences of theta band have been found out in the medial frontal lobe, which is proved as the frontal midline theta.
This study investigates the effects of corrosion resistance characteristics of opponent materials in relative motion on the sliding wear behavior of mild carbon steel. Pin specimens made of mild carbon steel are tested at several sliding speeds against mating discs made of two types of alloyed steels, such as type D2 tool steel (STD11) and type 420 stainless steel (STS420J2), with different corrosion resistance characteristics in a pin-on-disc type sliding wear test machine. The results clearly show that the sliding wear behavior of mild carbon steel is influenced by the corrosion resistance characteristics of the mating disc materials at low sliding speeds. However, the sliding wear behavior at high sliding speeds is irrelevant to the characteristics because of the rising temperature. During the steady state wear period, the sliding wear rate of mild carbon steel against the type 420 stainless steel at a sliding speed of 0.5 m/s increases considerably unlike against the type D2 tool steel. This may be because the better corrosion resistance characteristics achieve a worse tribochemical reactivity. However, during the running-in wear period at low sliding speeds, the wear behavior of mild carbon steel is influenced by the microstructure after heat treatment of the mating disc materials rather than by their corrosion resistance characteristics.

The $BaTiO_3$ powders were synthesized by GNP (Glycine-Nitrate process). The powders were prepared using carbonate and alkoxide as starting materials and nitric acid was used as a solvent for starting materials as well as an oxidant for combustion. the effects of aggregates in $BaTiO_3$ powders on green densities, sintering and dielectric characteristics were investigated. When the glycine/cation molar ratio was 1.2, reactivity of self-combustion was most intensive and the degree of aggregates after calcination was low. On sintering at $1400^{\circ}C$, maximum theoretical relative density(94.99%%0 was obtained in case of 1.2 molar ratio of glycine/cation. The dielectric constant of this sintered $BaTiO_3$ was 1919.
Nucleophilic reactivities of 1-and 2-phenethyl chlorides have been investigated MO-theoretically using the EHT method. It has been shown that results of population analysis are consistent with the experimental order of relative nucleophilic reactivities and furthermore the reversal of the reactivity order for the less reactive nucleophile, $I^-$, could also be explained satisfactorily.

The neurotics analysis of a liquid metal reactor fur burning minor actinides has shown that uncertainties in the nuclear data of several key minor actinide isotopes can introduce large uncertainties in the predicted performance of the core. A comprehensive sensitivity and uncertainty analysis was performed on a 1200 MWth actinide burner designed for a low burnup reactivity swing, negative doppler coefficient, and low sodium void worth. Sensitivities were generated using depletion perturbaton methods for the equilibrium cycle of the reactor and covariance data was taken ENDF-B/V and other published sources. The relative uncertainties in the burnup swing, doppler coefficient, and void worth were conservatively estimated to be 180%, 91%, and 46%, respectively.
