In this paper, an adaptive beamforming algorithm, based on the Minimum Mean Squared Error (MMSE) criterion, is devised fer adaptive antenna applied to an MC-CDMA system. A new method for updating the weight vector is derived. Computer simulations show that proposed algorithm is capable of rejecting co-channel interference that affects the MC-CDMA system. Thus, the BER performance of the MC-CDMA system is improved compared with that of the MC-CDMA system without using adaptive antenna and that of the DS-CDMA system with adaptive antenna in multi-path Ricean fading channel.

함수근사는 과학과 공학분야에서 광범위하게 응용된다. 다층 전방향 신경망은 비선형 함수근사를 위한 도구로서 제안되어져 왔으며, 다층 신경망을 학습시키기 위한 학습 알고리즘으로 역전파 알고리즘이 널리 이용되어져 왔다. 그러나 이상치(outlier) 를 포함한 학습자료가 존재할 때에는 학습되는 함수는 존재하는 모든 자료 사이를 보간 하므로 이상치가 있는 자료의 위치까지도 보간 하여, 원하지 않은 구조를 파악하게 된다. 따라서 이상치의 영향을 최소화 시키기 위해 본 논문에서는 로버스트 에너지 함수를 유도하여 개량된 로버스트 역전파 알고리즘을 제안한다.

Recently, a variety of confidence measures for utterance verification has been studied to improve speech recognition performance by rejecting out-of-vocabulary inputs. Most of the conventional confidence measures for utterance verification are based primarily on hypothesis testing or an approximated posterior probability, and their performances depend on the robustness of an alternative hypothesis or the prior probability. We introduce a novel confidence measure called a search confusion rate (SCR), which does not require an alternative hypothesis or the approximation of posterior probability. Our confusion-based approach shows better performance in additive noise-corrupted speech as well as in clean speech.

A natural admittance control system design is presented for a particular type of interaction controller that achieve high-performance and guarantees stability. The admittance control Significantly improves performance when Coulomb friction is present in the one link robot system. The technique requires a careful choice of the target impedance. Experimental performance results are presented for a two-mass system with internal Coulomb friction. Results demonstrate that the admittance control law is successful in rejecting internal Coulomb friction force disturbances. The controller was designed and implemented on our system that we set up one link robot system and hardware configuration system, and performance results are presented.

This paper proposes an algorithm for rejecting mismatched points (known as outliers). The proposed algorithm identifies and rejects outliers in image pairs obtained under automobile-like motions which consist of two translations and one rotation. The camera rotation is approximated to the image shift by assuming that the narrow field of lens is used. The voting method estimates the focus of expansion (FOE) while shifting one of the images. Using the properties of the FOE, the outliers are rejected while most of the inliers are retained.

When multiple rates of return occur, none of them is an accurate portrayal of project acceptability or profitability. For the simple investment situation, it was known that the IRR can serve as an appropriate index for either accepting or rejecting the investment. But, in this situation, we present that the IRR criterion is not same to DCF criterion. On the contrary we can easily show that the RRR criterion is completely consistent with the DCF criterion. Thus, the RRR is very well match for an accurate portrayal of project acceptability or profitability.

Purpose This study was designed co determine the possibility of HLA typing in the objeccification of constitution. Methods We selected 100 patients who showed Taeyang characteristics, and divided them into Soum-inclined group and Soyang-inclined group. HLA-A, B, DRBI typing was perfomed by ARMS-PCR and PCR-SSOP method. Results Taeyang characteristic group as a whole showed significant difference in A1, A11, B37, B70/71, DRBI*15,DRB1*14 alleles in comparison with normal control group. Soum-inclined group showed significant difference in All, B70/71, Soyang-inclined group in DRBl*15, hard drinker group in DRBl*15, DRBl*13, drink-rejecting group in All, B37, DRBl*7, DRB1*14 in comparison with normal control group. Conclusion : There were significant relations between constitutional information and HLA types.

In this paper, we propose an algorithm to conserve resources of the common control channel in a cognitive radio network by rejecting the redundant users using cooperative spectrum sensing. The proposed scheme is investigated under the paradigm of active spectrum sensing and a sequential detection technique. The algorithm is based on the J-divergence between the hypotheses of non primary user operation and the otherwise case. We select the most significant eigenvalues, which primarily affect the global statistical test. For the case where interference is from a secondary system transmission, a match filter is first employed to remove the degradation, and then the proposed algorithm is employed to remove the cooperative sensing nodes. Numerical results are provided and compared with conventional cases in order to validate the performance of the proposed algorithm.

This paper proposes a dry-type surface myoelectric sensor for the myoelectric hand prosthesis. The designed surface myoelectric sensor is composed of skin interface and processing circuits. The skin interface has one reference and two input electrodes, and the reference electrode is located in the center of two input electrodes. Considering the conduction velocity and the median frequency of the myoelectric signal, the inter-electrode distance (IED) between two input electrodes as 18mm, 20mm, and 22mm is selected. The signal processing circuit consists of a differential amplifier with a band pass filter, a band rejection filter for rejecting 60㎐ power-line noise, amplifier, and a level circuit. Using SUS440, six prototype skin interface with different reference electrode shape and IED is fabricated, and their output characteristics are evaluated by output signal obtained from the forearm of a healthy subject. The experimental results show that the skin interface with parallel bar shape and the 18mm IED has a good output characteristics. The fabricated dry-type surface myoelectric sensor is evaluated for the upper-limb amputee.

In the position control system, the output of a controller is generally used as the input of a plant but the undesired noise is included in the output of a controller. Therefore, there is a need to use a precompensator for rejecting the undesired noise. In this paper, the expanded PID controller with a precompensator is constructed. The precompensator and PID controller are designed by a neural network with two-hidden layer and these coefficients are changed automatically to be a desired response of system when the response characteristic is changed under a condition.
