고온 (300~1000 ℃)에서 티타늄 금속시편의 표면 산화거동 (Oxidation behavior on the surface of titanium metal specimens at high temperatures (300~1000℃))

  • 온도에 따른 티타늄금속의 산화거동을 조사하기 위하여 금속시편을 각각의 온도($300{\sim}1000^{\circ}C$)에서 2시간 동안 가열한 후, 생성된 산화시편의 표면에 대하여 X-선 회절(XRD)분석, 주사전자현미경 (SEM)/energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) 분석과 감쇠된 전반사(ATR) Fourier 변환 적외선(FT-IR) 분광 분석을 수행하였다. $300^{\circ}C$에서 대기 중의 산소가 티타늄 금속(hexagonal) 표면층으로 확산되어 적외선 흡수띠가 검출되었으며 온도가 높아짐에 따라 확산되는 산소 양이 증가하여 적외선 흡수띠와 X-선 회절 피크의 이동(shift) 현상이 나타났고 $700^{\circ}C$에서 XRD에 의해 $Ti_3O$ (hexagonal)의 생성이 확인되었다. 티타늄 금속 표면에 $TiO_2$ (rutile, tetragonal) 산화층이 생성되기 시작한 온도는 $600^{\circ}C$ 이었으며 이때 두께가 $1{\mu}m$ 이하 수준이었으나 $700^{\circ}C$에서는 약 $2{\mu}m$로 두꺼워졌고 $1000^{\circ}C$에서는 약 $110{\mu}m$ 두께에 달했다. 또한 $900^{\circ}C$ 이상의 온도에서 $TiO_2$ (rutile) 산화층 표면은 (110) 면의 방향으로 결정이 성장하였다.

3-Azidopropane-1,2-diol로 쇄연장된 GAP/PTMG 폴리우레탄의 상거동 (Phase Behaviors of the GAP/PTMG Polyurethanes Chain Extended with 3-Azidopropane-1,2-Diol)

  • 에너지 함유 쇄연장제인 3-azidopropane-1,2-diol (AzPD)로 쇄연장된 에너지 함유 폴리우레탄의 특성을 고찰하기 위하여 비교연구법을 수행하였다. 이를 위하여 AzPD, 1,4-BD, 또는 1,5-PD 쇄연장제를 갖는 poly(glycidyl azide)/poly(tetramethylene oxide)계 에너지 함유 세그멘티드 폴리우레탄(energetic segmented polyurethane, GAP/PTMG ESPU)을 dimethyl formamide (DMF) 용매에서 합성하여 상거동을 고찰하였다. 상거동은 fourier transform infrared.attenuated total reflection spectroscopy (ATR FT.IR), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), 및 dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA)를 이용하여 분석하였다. ATR FT.IR spectrum 분석결과 7일 경과 시편의 GAP/PTMG AzESPU의 수소결합하지 않은 C=O 분율이 0.5로 각각 0.44 및 0.41인 GAP/PTMG BDESPU 및 GAP/PTMG PDESPU 보다 높았고, 제조 후 60일 경과 시편의 경우 0.26~0.29의 범위로 큰 차가 없었다. 제조 후 7일 경과 GAP/PTMG AzESPU 시편의 DMA curves는 무정형 고분자의 거동과 유사하였으며, GAP/PTMG BDESPU과 GAP/PTMG PDESPU는 고무평탄구간과 연성 흐름 구간을 갖는 점탄성 거동을 나타냈다. 그러나, 제조 후 60일 경과 GAP/PTMG AzESPU의 DMA curves는 GAP/PTMG PDESPU와 같이 고무평탄구간과 연성 흐름 구간을 갖는 점탄성 거동을 나타냈다. ATR FT-IR, DSC 및 DMA 분석을 이용한 상거동 고찰로부터 AzPD로 쇄연장된 GAP/PTMG ESPU는 1,4-BD 또는 1,5-PD로 쇄연장된 GAP/PTMG ESPU보다 구성성분간의 상혼합이 잘 이루어지나 적절한 조건에서 상형평에 도달되면 GAP/PTMG PDESPU와 유사한 TPE의 점탄성 거동을 나타냈다.

얇은 저류층 내에서 WVD 빛띠 분해에 의한 가스 포화 구역 탐지 (Detection of the gas-saturated zone by spectral decomposition using Wigner-Ville distribution for a thin layer reservoir)

  • 최근에는 지금까지 주로 탐사개발이 이루어진 구조적 저류층보다 층서적 저류층에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 하지만 얇은 두께의 가스 저류층의 경우 동조효과로 인해 겹쌓기 단면도에서 탐지가 어렵다. 게다가 얇은 저류층 내 염수가 있는 부분과 가스로 치환된 부분으로부터의 반사파가 동일한 극성을 갖는 경우 일반적인 자료 처리 기술을 이용해서 가스가 있는 부분을 규명하는 것이 쉽지 않다. 본 연구에서는 빛띠 분해를 이용해서 얇은 저류층 내 가스로 치환된 부분을 나타내는 방법을 소개하고자 한다. 먼저, Class 1, Class 3 그리고 Class 4의 AVO 반응을 가지는 매질의 물성을 이용하여 다양한 입사각과 진동수에 따른 진폭 빛띠를 분석하였다. 그 결과 입사각과 AVO 종류에 무관하게 최대 진폭 빛띠 값을 갖는 꼭지 진동수 근처에서 염수와 가스로 치환된 얇은 층의 진폭 빛띠 값이 가장 크게 차이가 나는 것을 확인하였다. 또한 Class 3와 Class 4의 성질을 가지는 매질에서는 가스로 치환된 부분의 진폭 빛띠가 꼭지 진동수에서 염수로 치환된 부분의 진폭 빛띠보다 크게 나타나는 것을 확인하였고 이러한 현상은 Class 1에서는 반대로 일어나는 것을 확인하였다. 위의 결과를 토대로 얇은 저류층내에서 가스로 치환된 부분을 염수로 치환된 부분과 구분하기 위해서 겹쌓기 단면에 빛띠 분해법을 적용하였다. 위 방법에 대한 타당성을 검증하기 위해서 동일한 반사 극성을 가지면서 염수와 가스로 치환된 부분이 모두 있는 하나의 얇은 저류층 속도 모델을 설정하였다. 결과적으로 Wigner-Ville distribution을 사용해서 얻은 꼭지 진동수 근처에서의 빛띠 분해 단면도를 통해 겹쌓기 단면에서는 구분이 어려웠던 얇은 저류층 내에서의 염수와 가스로 치환된 부분을 구분할 수 있었다.

몽골 시베트 하이르한 유적 선비 시기(1~3세기) 고분 출토 직물의 섬유와 염료 분석 (Analysis of an ancient textiles from the Xianbei period tombs of the Shiveet Khairkhan site, Mongolia)

  • 시베트 하이르한 유적은 알타이지역 바양 울기 아이막 가운데 쳉겔 솜에 위치하며 다양한 유적이 확인된 유라시아 초원의 중요한 지역이다. 본 연구에서는 몽골 시베트 하이르한 유적의 1~3세기 선비 시기 고분에서 출토된 직물의 섬유와 염료의 특성을 조사하였다. 섬유 식별을 위해 현미경 관찰과 감쇠전반사 푸리에 변환 적외선 분광기를 이용해 분석한 결과, 녹색과 황색 직물은 견직물로 확인되었다. 염료의 분석은 비파괴 분석이 가능한 자외-가시광분광광도계를 이용하여 염직물의 표면 반사도를 측정하였다. 그 결과 녹색 직물은 인디고 염료의 반사스펙트럼과 유사하게 나타났다. 또한 기체 크로마토그래피-질량분석기를 이용한 성분 분석 결과에서도 인디고 염료의 이사틴과 인디고틴이 검출되었다. 이사틴과 인디고틴은 인디고 염료의 특성 성분으로 선비 시기 고분의 녹색 직물은 인디고 염료를 사용하여 염색한 것을 알 수 있었다. 황색 직물은 반사스펙트럼과 기체 크로마토그래피-질량분석 결과 염료의 종류를 규명하기 어려웠다. 인디고 식물은 수천 년 전부터 청색계 염색에 사용하는 염료이자 전 세계에 다수 종이 분포한다. 선비 시기 고분에서 출토된 직령의(直領衣)는 약 1,800년의 시간이 지났음에도 녹색 직물에서 인디고 염료 성분인 인디고틴과 이사틴이 잘 남아있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 직물 문화재에 대한 과학적 조사는 보존처리, 원형 복원, 전시 및 보존환경 조성 등을 위해 필수적인 과정이다. 앞으로도 관련 연구가 활성화되어 당시 생활 문화 해석과 직물 문화재의 보존처리 및 보존환경 조성에 도움이 되길 기대한다.

연령증가에 따른 지첨용적맥파의 주파수 영역에서의 변화 (Age-related Changes of the Finger Photoplethysmogram in Frequency Domain Analysis)

  • 연구배경과 목적: 지첨용적맥파는 광학기술을 이용하여 손가락 끝에서 혈액용적의 변화를 측정하여 맥파를 검출하는 기술로서, 지첨용적맥파에 대한 시간영역 파형분석을 통해 혈관의 노화정도를 파악할 수 있음은 이미 잘 알려진 사실이다. 이에 본 연구자는 시간영역 파형분석을 통해 혈관노화지표를 얻을 수 있다면, 주파수영역분석법을 통해서도 혈관노화지표를 얻을 수 있을 것으로 가정하였다. 본 연구에서는 주파수영역에서 혈관노화지표를 찾기 위해 건강한 성인들을 대상으로 지첨용적맥파를 측정하고 주파수영역에서 분석하여 고조파가 혈관노화 지표로서 활용될 수 있는가 여부를 결정하고자 한다. 연구방법: 건강인 390명(남자 174명과 여자 216명)을 대상으로 안정 후 앙와위에서 30초 동안 지첨용적맥파를 검출하였다. 검출한 맥파신호에서 기저선이 비교적 안정된 5-6개의 맥파주기를 선택하여 시간영역 파형분석을 통해 얻어지는 혈관노화지표인 승각시간, 경화지수, 반사지수, 가속도맥파를 구하였다. 주파수영역분석을 위해서는 빠른 퓨리에변환(FFT)를 실시하여 고조파 성분을 추출하였다. 특정점 검출을 위해서는 AcqKnowledge software의 peak detector 기능을 이용하였다. 연구결과: 표준화된 고조파 파워는 연령증가에 따라 유의하게 감소하였다; nPWR2 (r=-0.286, p<0.0001), nPWR3 (r=-0.482, p<0.0001), nPWR4 (r=-0.564, p<0.0001), nPWRS (r=-0.467, p<0.0001) 및 nPWR6 (r=-0.263, p<0.0001). 표준화된 고조파 파워의 logarithmic scale에서 연령증가에 따라 보다 강한 선형적인 감소가 나타났다; Ln(nPWR2) (r=-0.281, p<0.0001), Ln(nPWR3) (r=-0.492, P<0.0001), Ln(nPWR4) (r=-0.621, P<0.0001), Ln(nPWRS) (r=-0.487, P<0.0001) 및 Ln(nPWR6) (r=-0.273, P<0.0001). 승각시간, 반사지수, 경화지수를 독립변수로 한 중회귀분석에서 Ln(nPWR2) (R-squared=0.451), Ln(nPWR3) (R-squared=0.471) 및 Ln(nPWR4) (R-squared=0.432)는 비교적 잘 설명되었으나, Ln(nPWRS) (R-squared=0.232) 및 Ln(nPWR6) (R-squared=0.183)는 비교적 잘 설명되지 않았다. 결론: 건강인의 지첨용적맥파에서 기준 주파수로 표준화한 고조파 파워는 연령증가에 따라 감소였으며, 주파수영역분석이 가지는 특성을 고려해 볼 때 표준화된 고조파 파워는 기존의 시간영역 파형분석을 통해 얻어지는 혈관노화지표에 비해 잡음에 의한 오차가 보다 적을 것으로 기대된다. 따라서 우리는 표준화된 고조파 파워가 간편하고 용이하게 혈관노화를 반영하는 새로운 지표로서 활용될 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.

동남광산에서 발견된 신종광물 Zn­란시아이트(치무석) (Chimooite, a New Mineral from Dongnam Mine, Korea)

  • 강원도 정선군의 동남광산에서 란시아이트(rancieite)의 Zn­단종인 신종광물이 발견되어 이 광물에 대하여 '치무석'(Chimooite)으로 명명하고 그 광물학적 특성을 보고하고자 한다. 치무석은 캄브리아기의 풍촌석회암층을 남북 내지는 북동 방향으로 관입한 능망간석과 황화광물로 형성된 열수광맥의 표층산화대의 산화망간 광물 중에서 발견되었다. 주로 미립의 판상 또는 침상 결정의 집합체로 산출되며, 큰 것은 약 0.2 mm까지 달하나 대부분 0.05 mm이하의 미세 결정체로 산출된다. 한 입자 내에서 중심부의 치무석에서 외각부의 란시아이트로 화학조성이 점이적으로 변한다. 치무석은 푸른빛을 띠는 흑색의 구상 또는 괴상의 집합체로 무광이며 흑갈색의 조흔색을 보인다. 한 방향의 뚜렷한 벽개를 가지며, 경도는 2.5∼4이다. 반사현미경 하에서 치무석은 이방성이며 복굴절을 보여 적갈색의 내부반사색을 보인다. 치무석의 전자현미분석 시 분석위치에 따라 다양한 CaO와 ZnO의 분석값을 보이는데 이로 미루어 치무석과 란시아이트는 양이온 치환에 의한 완전고용체임을 알 수 있다. 치무석의 실험식은 7 $\AA$ 층상구조형 산화망간광물의 일반식인 $R_2_{x}$ $_Mn^{4+}$ $_{9­x}$ $O_{18}$ $.$n$H_2O$(x=0.81∼1.28, 평균 1.0)에 따라 계산하면(Z $n_{0.78}$$Na_{0.15}$C $a_{0.08}$M $g_{0.01}$ $K_{0.01}$)($Mn^{4+}$ $_{3.98}$F $e^{3+}$ $_{0.02}$)$_{4.00}$ $O_{9}$ $.$3.85$H_2O$가 되며, 이상적으로는(Zn,Ca)$Mn^{4+}$ $_4$ $O_{9}$ $.$3.85$H_2O$로 나타낼 수 있다. 이는 통상적인 스토이키오메트리 조성식인 $_Mn_4^{4+}$ $O_{9}$ $.$4$H_2O$와 잘 일치함을 알 수 있다. 치무석은 육방정계이고 단위포는 a=2.840 $\AA$, c=7.486 $\AA$이며 a:c = 1:2.636이다. 시차열분석에 의하면 65, 180, 690 and 102$0^{\circ}C$에서 흡열반응을 보인다. 적외선 흡수분광분석에 의하면 445, 500, 1630 and 3400 $cm^{1}$의 파장에서 흡수대가 나타난다.다.서 흡수대가 나타난다.다.다.

  • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70$\pm$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32$\pm$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The CF 15-11 HFDs which failed APD test did not show changes in the UFR compared to normal dialyzers indicating that APD is a more sensitive test than UFR test to evaluate the integrity of the fibers. 30527 T00401030527 ^x For quantitative measurement of reflected light from a clinical diagnostic strip, a prototype old reflectance photometer was designed. The strip loader and cassette were made to obtain more accurate reflectance parameters. The strip was illuminated at 45˚c through optical fiber and the intensity of reflected light was determined at rectanguLat angle using a photodiode. The kubelka-munk coefficient and reflection optical density were determined ar four different wavelengths(500, 550, 570 and 610nm) for blood glucose strip. For higher concentration than 300mg/41 about glucose, a saturation state of abforbance was observed at 500, 550 and 570nm. The mice were divided into two groups. One group was injected with Photofrin II, intravenously (2.5mg/kg body weight). The other group received no Photofrin II. The purpose of this study is to identify major geometrical differences between Korean femurs 3nd others that we believe belong to Caucasians so that we would be able to get insights into the femoral component design that fits Asians including Koreans. We utilized computerized tomography (CT) images of femurs extracted from cadavers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. The results suggested that the femoral component suitable for Asians should be different from the currently-used components designed and manufactured mostly by European or American companies. 30537 T00401030537 ^x It is well known that nonlinear propagation characteristics of the wave in the tissue may give very useful information for the medical diagnoisis. In this paper, a new method to detect nonlinear propagation characteristics of the internal vibration in the tissue for the low frequency mechanical vibration by using bispectral analysis is proposed. In the method, low frequency vibration of f0( = 100Hz) is applied on the surface of the object, and the waveform of the internal vibration x (t) is measured from Doppler frequency modulation of silmultaneously transmitted probing ultrasonic waves. Then, the bispectra of the signal x (t) at the frequencies (f0, f0) and (f0, 2f0) are calculated to estimate the nonlinear propagation characteristics as their magnitude ratio, w here since bispectrum is free from the gaussian additive noise we can get the value with high S/N. Basic experimental system is constructed by using 3.0 MHz probing ultrasonic waves and the several experiments are carried out for some phantoms.   • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70${\pm}$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32${\pm}$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The purpose of this study is to identify major geometrical differences between Korean femurs 3nd others that we believe belong to Caucasians so that we would be able to get insights into the femoral component design that fits Asians including Koreans. We utilized computerized tomography (CT) images of femurs extracted from cadavers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. Then, the bispectra of the signal x (t) at the frequencies (f0, f0) and (f0, 2f0) are calculated to estimate the nonlinear propagation characteristics as their magnitude ratio, w here since bispectrum is free from the gaussian additive noise we can get the value with high S/N. Basic experimental system is constructed by using 3.0 MHz probing ultrasonic waves and the several experiments are carried out for some phantoms. Optimal parameters of electrical stimulation for slow muscles were 20 Hz, 0.2 ms square pulse. For fast muscle, 40 Hz, 0.3 ms square pulse was optimal to produce repeated contraction. Electrical stimulation for each muscle was designed to generate bipedal locomotion, so that individual muscles alternate contraction and relaxation to simulate stance and swing phases.
