  • 본 논문은 적웅적 움직임 추정영역 선택을 사용한 디지털 영상안정화의 성능개선에 대한 새로운 방법을 제시한다. 움직임 추정을 위한 후보영역을 선정하고 그 중에서 제안하는 두 가지 방법인 다중 영상 참조와 윤곽에너지 판별을 통해 최종 움직임 추정영역을 선택한다. 정해진 영역에서 움직임을 추정하고 보상한다. 실험을 통해 제안하는 방법이 영상안정화의 성능을 향상 시킴을 보인다.

  • The epigraphy is a text on metal or a text on stone. The value of epigraphy can be used to identify historical facts of the past. It is a good record to understand the past life and culture. But it is difficult to decode the character of the epigraphy which has been exposed to the outdoor for a long time. In this study, the proposed techniques are consisted of 3 parts: (1)The surface division into information area, non- information area, and undifferentiated area. And then, (2) The selection of points in the non-information area and finding a reference plane with the minimum error. (3) Flattening the points perpendicular to the reference plane and decoding characters on information area. This research contributes to narrow the scope of a particular letter and to read the controversial letters on the Pohang Jungsoengri Silla Stone Monument(Korea's national treasure number 318).

Common-Mode Current Reduction with Synchronized PWM Strategy in Two-Inverter Air-Conditioning Systems

  • A new method for reducing the common-mode current generated by the voltage variations in a two-inverter air conditioner system by applying a synchronized pulse-width modulation (PWM) strategy is proposed. The PWM signals of the master-mode inverter are generated based on the reference voltage, while those of the slave-mode inverter are output in the opposite direction when the master-mode inverter changes its switching state. However, the slave-mode control results in a mismatch between the reference voltage and the actual output voltage that is modified by synchronized control operation. The proposed method is capable of reducing and controlling this voltage error by performing signal selection in the vector space of the slave-mode inverter, which mitigates the distortion of the phase current. The efficacy of this method in reducing conducted emissions has been validated both theoretically and experimentally.

Evaluation of DNA Markers for Fruit-related Traits and Genetic Relationships Based on Simple Sequence Repeat in Watermelon Accessions

  • Modern watermelon cultivars (Citrullus lanatus [Thunb.] Matsum.& Nakai var. lanatus) have fruits with diverse phenotypes, including fruit shape, rind patterns, and flesh color. Molecular markers enable efficient selection of plants harboring desirable phenotypes. In the present study, publicly available DNA markers tightly linked to fruit shape, rind stripe pattern, and flesh color were evaluated using 85 watermelon accessions with diverse fruit phenotypes. For fruit shape, the dCAPS SUN - Cla011257 marker revealed an 81% of marker - trait match for accessions with elongated or round fruits. For rind stripe pattern, the SCAR wsb6-11marker was effective for selecting Jubilee-type rind pattern from other rind patterns. For flesh color, the Clcyb.600 and Lcyb markers derived from a mutation in the Lycopene ${\beta}$ - cyclase (Lcyb) gene, were effective at selecting red or yellow flesh. Forty-eight accessions possessing diverse fruit - related traits were selected as a reference array and their genetic relationships assessed using 16 SSR markers. At a coefficient of 0.11, the 48 accessions grouped into two major clades: Clade I and Clade II. Clade I subdivided further into subclades I - 1 and I - 2 at a coefficient of 0.39. All accessions with colored flesh were classified into Clade I, whereas those with white - flesh were classified into Clade II. Differences in fruit traits between subclades I - 1 and I - 2 were observed for rind pattern and fruit color; a majority of the accessions with Crimson-type striped or non-striped rind were grouped together in subclade I - 1, while most accessions in subclade I - 2 had a Jubilee - type rind stripe pattern. These results imply that reference array watermelon accessions possess distinguishable genetic structure based on rind stripe pattern. However, no significant grouping pattern was observed based on other fruit-related traits.

  • In this paper, an adaptive observe based upon the exponentially weighted least-squares method is implemented in the design of a model reference adaptive controller for an unknown time-invariant discrete single-input single-output linear plant. A method of selecting the state variable filter is proposed. In this scheme, all the past data are weithted exponentially with the weighting coefficient.

  • 본 논문은 낙뢰나 스위칭 등에 의해 건물 내에서 발생할 수 있는 과도 현상에 대하여, 기준신호그리드와 절연/독립접지 방식을 비교한 것이다. 전자계 해석프로그램인 HIFREQ을 이용함으로써 정량적인 해석결과에 근거하여 건물내 접지방식의 차이에 따라 접지점에서 어떠한 과도현상이 발생하는지의 고찰이 가능하였다. 본 논문에서 시도한 건축물 내 과도현상 해석방법 및 사례연구 결과는 정보화 건축물에 필요한 접지 방식의 선정을 위한 자료로 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

  • 본 논문에서는 동영상 부호화의 이동 보상 과정에서 다중의 참조 영상들을 적응적으로 이용하는 새로운 스케일러블(scalable) 부호화 기법을 제안한다. 제안 기법은 입력 신호의 특성을 고려하여. 확장계층 및 기저계층에서 다중의 이동 참조 영상들에 대한 최적 가중 값을 적응적으로 구한다. 이러한 기법을 이용하여. 확장계층의 부호화 효율 및 오류에 대한 강인성을 향상시킨다. 또한 복호기에서 전송 오류가 검출된 경우. 적응적으로 참조 영상을 선택함으로써 에러 파급(drift) 현상을 현저히 감소시킨다 실험 결과들로부터, 제안하는 적응적인 스케일러블 부호화 기법은 다양한 채널 에러(channel error) 환경에서, 기존의 스케일러블 H.263+부호화 기법에 비하여 PSNR 성능이 약 1.0㏈ 이상 향상됨을 확인할 수 있었다.

Analysis on Delta-Vs to Maintain Extremely Low Altitude on the Moon and Its Application to CubeSat Mission

  • This paper analyzes delta-Vs to maintain an extremely low altitude on the Moon and investigates the possibilities of performing a CubeSat mission. To formulate the station-keeping (SK) problem at an extremely low altitude, current work has utilized real-flight performance proven software, the Systems Tool Kit Astrogator by Analytical Graphics Inc. With a high-fidelity force model, properties of SK maneuver delta-Vs to maintain an extremely low altitude are successfully derived with respect to different sets of reference orbits; of different altitudes as well as deadband limits. The effect of the degree and order selection of lunar gravitational harmonics on the overall SK maneuver strategy is also analyzed. Based on the derived SK maneuver delta-V costs, the possibilities of performing a CubeSat mission are analyzed with the expected mission lifetime by applying the current flight-proven miniaturized propulsion system performances. Moreover, the lunar surface coverage as well as the orbital characteristics of a candidate reference orbit are discussed. As a result, it is concluded that an approximately 15-kg class CubeSat could maintain an orbit (30-50 km reference altitude having ${\pm}10km$ deadband limits) around the Moon for 1-6 months and provide almost full coverage of the lunar surface.

부트스트랩과 베이지안 방법으로 추정한 수산자원관리에서의 생물학적 기준점의 신뢰구간 (Application of Bootstrap and Bayesian Methods for Estimating Confidence Intervals on Biological Reference Points in Fisheries Management)

  • To evaluate uncertainty and risk in biological reference points, we applied a bootstrapping method and a Bayesian procedure to estimate the related confidence intervals. Here we provide an example of the maximum sustainable yield (MSY) of turban shell, Batillus cornutus, estimated by the Schaefer and Fox models. Fitting the time series of catch and effort from 1968 to 2006 showed that the Fox model performs better than the Schaefer model. The estimated MSY and its bootstrap percentile confidence interval (CI) at ${\alpha}=0.05$ were 1,680 (1,420-1,950) tons for the Fox model and 2,170 (1,860-2,500) tons for the Schaefer model. The CIs estimated by the Bayesian approach gave similar ranges: 1,710 (1,450-2,000) tons for the Fox model and 2,230 (1,760-2,930) tons for the Schaefer model. Because uncertainty in effort and catch data is believed to be greater for earlier years, we evaluated the influence of sequentially excluding old data points by varying the first year of the time series from 1968 to 1992 to run 'backward' bootstrap resampling. The results showed that the means and upper 2.5% confidence limit (CL) of MSY varied greatly depending on the first year chosen whereas the lower 2.5% CL was robust against the arbitrary selection of data, especially for the Schaefer model. We demonstrated that the bootstrap and Bayesian approach could be useful in precautionary fisheries management, and we advise that the lower 2.5% CL derived by the Fox model is robust and a better biological reference point for the turban shells of Jeju Island.

학교도서관 미디어전문가를 위한 교수매체 선정기준 연구 (A Study on the Selection Criteria for Instructional Media as Guidelines for the School Library Media Specialist)

  • 학교도서관의 미디어전문가는 교육현장의 요구에 부응하여 학습목표 달성에 필수적으로 요청되는 학습자료와 교수 매체를 조사, 평가, 선정하여 제공함으로써 정보전문가로서, 또 학습 상담자로서 주어진 역할을 완수할 수 있다. 사회변화와 정보기술 발달로 학교도서관 소장자료의 형태와 소장범위가 크게 달라지고 있는 현 상황에서 본 논문을 통해 제시된 유형별 교수매체 선정기준을 지침으로 삼아 미디어전문가는 다양하고도 엄청난 양의 정보매체 중에서 학습목표 달성에 필수적으로 요청되는 교수매체를 조직적으로 평가선정할 수 있을 것이다. 특히 그 중요성이 부각되고 있는 학습용 소프트웨어, 멀티미디어/하이퍼미디어에 대한 평가기준과 디지털 참고서비스의 질적기준은 교육정보화를 추진하고있는 국내 교육계의 요구에 맞추어 유용하고도 적절한 교수공학 매체를 선정할 수 있는 지침으로 활용될 수 있다.
