Purpose: The purpose of this study was to understand the adjustment process of middle-aged people in Korea with hemiplegia after a stroke. Method: For this study, the grounded theory method was utilized. Results: After constant comparative analysis, the core category emerged as 'rebuilding the body which was ruined'. In addition, the causal conditions were 'restriction of physical function', and 'loss of roles'. The adjustment process consisted of the 'facing reality phase', 'overcoming depression phase', 'overcoming physical limits phase' and 'reestablishing roles phase' The main strategies in the facing reality phase were 'holding on to a glimmer of hope', 'getting away from the harsh reality' and 'facing up to the reality'. The main strategies in the overcoming depression phase were 'soothing oneself', 'Self-introspection' and 'restoring self-esteem'. In addition, the main strategies in the self-initiative overcoming physical limits phase was 'discovering personal strategies and striving to recover'. The main strategies in the reestablishing roles phase were 'reestablishing a parents' role', 'reestablishing a spouse's role' and 'reestablishing social roles'. Conclusion: In conclusion, even though many middle aged stroke patients remained in the depression phase, most of them who overcame depression strived to conquer physical limits on their own initiative.

이 연구에서는 국가기록원과 권역별 기록관의 현단계를 점검하고 발전 방향을 제시하기 위해 국가기록원에 대한 5개의 연구문제와 권역별 기록관에 대한 3개의 연구문제를 중심으로 논의를 진행하였다. 국가기록원에 대해서는 1) 국가기록원은 대한민국의 기록관리자인가? 2) 국가기록원은 지방기록물관리기관 설치를 지원하고 있는가? 3) 국가기록원은 모든 공공기관의 기록물관리를 지도 감독하고 있는가? 4) 국가기록원의 존재 이유는 무엇이며, 비전은 적절한가? 5) 국가기록원은 단순한 행정부처인가? 라는 연구문제를 점검하고, 권역별 기록관에 대해서는 1) 권역별 기록관은 영구기록물관리기관인가? 2) <서울기록관>, <부산기록관>, <대전기록관>이라는 명칭은 적절한가? 3) 권역별 기록관은 단순 문서고인가? 라는 연구문제를 점검함으로써 국가기록원과 권역별 기록관의 역할 재정립을 위한 방안을 제안하였다.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine and share experiences of male nurses who have been rejected during their nursing practice by their patients. Methods: The participants were 12 male nurses who have worked in several hospitals. Data were collected through personalized in-depth interviews. Collected data were analyzed with the content analysis method. Results: The results can be categorized into three main themes. 1. Rejection based on gender stereotypes of nurses' roles. 2. Nurses' reactions when nursing was rejected 3. Reestablishing the role as a nurse. The results of this study showed that male nurses were struggling to maintain their own positions as professional nurses. They were refused by their patients and they experienced a lack of skill and knowledge in nursing practice. They were harmed physically and psychologically from being turned down, and sometimes they had serious conflicts with female nurses. Meanwhile, the male nurses tried to be faithful to their role as professional nurses. Conclusion: The results of this study show the following findings. 1. The male nurses' experiences where mostly ones of understanding and cooperation with patients' caregivers. 2. The need for public relations advertising and systematic support from the media. 3. The need for improving gender equality for nurses. 4. Strengthening male nursing students' endeavors for sound nursing professionalism.
