  • In the last year, the number of registered vehicles in Korea surpassed the 14 million mark, and increase in number continuously. Nowdays, this tendency has raised some problems inevitably in the view of expansion of ELV and earth environment pollution resulted from it. Currently, the domestic recycle rate of ELV is about 75%. the reason of the row rate of it is due to that dismantling company can not obtain the needed recycling technology. State of art for recycling technology of ELV in domestic & foreign was introduced.

  • Coffee is a popular beverage not only in Korea but also around the world, and its consumption is on the rise. As coffee consumption increases, coffee waste are also increasing, and recycling is attempted in various fields. However, these recycling methods require complex recycling processes and specialized skills. However, in this study coffee waste, agar powder, and powdered glue were mixed in an appropriate ratio and used as a cement building finishing material. This recycling method has a simple manufacturing method and was shown to improve indoor air quality by delaying radon emitted from cement walls for 2.5 hours with one application and 3.9 hours with two applications. In addition, it was shown that after applying the coffee waste mixture, it was applied twice to close the cracks that occurred during the drying process, thereby prevent the coffee waste from falling off the wall for aesthetic perfection.

  • Industrial wastes of crosslinked polymers have been burned or disposed of in landfills because there is no recycling technology due to their insoluble and infusible network chain structure. However, recycling of cross-linked polymers has been taken a growing attention because of issues of environmental pollution and of resources conservation. In this paper, uprising recycling technologies of crosslinked polymers using supercritical fluid are reviewed.

  • The patents were searched to investigate the trend of recycling technologies about plastic waste. Database was collected from WIPS site and the range of the search was limited to patents opened in U.S.A (US), European Union (EU), Japan (JP) and Korea (KR) to september 2009. In this paper, 4,795 patents were selected by investigation abstracts and the trend of the recycling technologies relating to waste plastic were investigated through the analyzing by the years, countries, companies. The patents were occupied 65% by Japan and the most of the patents were about chemical recycling. In the case of Korea, material recycling was major in the patents of waste plastic recycling.

  • Step feed process was analyzed stoichiometrically for the optimal operation conditions in this study. In case of optimal operation conditions, minimum R (sludge recycling) value, r (internal recycling ratio) value, and n (influent allocation ratio) value for the step feed process to acquire the maximum TN removal efficiency were identified by theoretical analysis. Maximum TN removal efficiency, based on stoichiometric reaction, can be obtained by controlling n value for the step feed process.

  • Nowadays, countries all over the world are deeply concerned about pollution in the global environment, so they are seeking various ways to adequately disposal of waste. Still, the environmental situation seems to be getting worse and worse. It is evident that such wastes and pollution have been endangering human life nestled in this globe up to the end of the 20th century. We should not, however, tolerate such human misconduct and mal-management of resources any more in the new millenium. For realizing a society that is sustainable for generations to come, it is important to establish a social system for minimizing wastes, promote re-use and recycling, and develop technology for improving recycling efficiencies, including product designs that facil-itate re-use and recycling and innovative technologies for processing wastes. In this paper, reviewing the current status of Korean waste problems, the governmental policy and specific approach for the establishment for recycling society is considered.

  • Recently efficient recycling of natural resource has been raised many people's interest with global warming issue. This study is focused mainly on main content of automobile recycling regulation and current situation of each nations including EU which is firstly acted. Also we were considering for adequate way to make better resource recycling condition and reduce Environment burden.
