자기치유형 무기계 혼합재를 사용한 모르타르의 압축강도 및 치유성능 (Compressive Strength and Healing Performance of Mortar Using Self-healing Inorganic Materials)

  • 본 연구에서는 고로슬래그 미분말, 팽창재 및 무수석고로 이루어진 무기계 자기치유 소재를 사용하여 제조한 자기치유 모르타르의 특성을 조사하였다. 무기계 치유재료의 사용량이 다른 3종류의 자기치유 모르타르를 대상으로 압축강도를 측정하고 정수위 투수시험를 통하여 치유성능을 평가하였다. 치유성능 평가지표로 균열유도재령애 따른 치유율과 등가균열폭을 활용하였다. 자기치유 모르타르의 압축강도 발현, 치유재령에 따른 치유율 변화와 경제성을 고려하여 무기계 혼합재의 최적 사용량을 시멘트 질량 대비 20 %로 제안하였다.

Weed Occurrence, Rice Growth, and Soil Temperature as Affected by Different Biodegradable Mulching Materials in Wet Seeded Rice

  • In spite water direct seeding cultivation of rice has advantages in terms of laborsaving and cost-down, it demonstrates uneven seedling establishment and difficult weed management. To select an applicable mat for mulching system of water seeded rice, weed occurrence, growth and yield performances of rice, and soil temperature were evaluated in several kinds of biodegradable mulching material. Field studies were conducted at the experimental farm of National Crop Experiment Station in 1999 and 2000. Among the mats tested in 1999, Safer-mat had the greatest effect on inhibiting weed occurrence and Lawn-mat demonstrated the least efficacy of weed control (EWC) value. In Safer-mat treatment, Ludwigia prostrata was the dominant weed species but Echinochloa crus-galli was not observed. Different kinds of mulching material from the mats studied in 1999 were tested in 2000. Biodegradable polyester (PES) coated on the recycled paper for newspaper press (RP) treatments showed similar or higher EWC values than non-mulched broadcast seed rice with 2 times of herbicide application (BC-herbicide) and Safer-mat that was the most effective mat on preventing weed appearance in 1999. Immediately after mat mulching on the surface of paddy soil, five pregerminated rice seeds were manually sown in each 3cm-hole formerly punctured at 30${\times}$14 cm spacing in 2000. All the 3 kinds of mulching material tested in 2000 had better seedling stand than BC-herbicide treatment. Rice yield in PES coated with 10 thickness on RP (PES10 $\mu\textrm{m}$+RP) was a little higher than in BC-herbicide treatment but the former produced less panicles in unit land area than the latter. PES10 $\mu\textrm{m}$+RP demonstrated a great effect on raising soil surface temperature than non-mulching treatment throughout the period of seedling establishment.

오존처리공정의 배오존 재활용 마이크로버블시스템 개발 (Development of a Micro-Bubble System for Ozone Off-Gas Recycling in the Ozone Treatment Process)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a recycling system for ozone off-gas. Although the ozone transmission rate of the injector method differs slightly depending on the ozone injection rate, it reaches approximately 99%, which is very high. During the increase in water inflow to the ozone recycling system from 2 L/min to 10 L/min, the average ozone recycling rate was 99.4% at a 1 ppm ozone injection rate, 98.6% at a 2 ppm ozone injection rate, 98.1% at a 3 ppm ozone injection rate. Ozone treatment facility operating costs can be divided into the costs of pure oxygen production, ozone production, and maintenance. The annual operating costs of ozone treatment facilities in Korea are estimated to be approximately 38.9 billion won. The annual savings are estimated to be approximately 5.8 billion won when the ozone transfer rate of the diffuser method, which is mostly employed in domestic water treatment plants, is 85% and 15% of the ozone is recycled.

분뇨처리장의 공정개선에 의한 처리효율 향상에 관한 연구 (Improvement of treatment efficiency for sanitary treatment facilities by process modifications)

  • There is a need to improve the efficiency of the existing sanitary treatment facilities, because the effluent standard becomes more stricter and septic sludge increased. Thus, operating processes of sanitary treatment system in M city changed with installation of additional facilities. Process modifications were as follows: Dilution water was added to the next process after primary aeration tank. Some secondary sedimentation sludge was recycled to primary aerator so that most of the organics were stabilized in primary aeration tank under automatic control of dissolved oxygen. The line of effluent from dewatering process flowing to the activated sludge tank was changed to the primary aerator. The primary sedimentation sludge line was linked to a thickener. Polymer was added to the activated sludge tank. The effluent of primary aerator and aerobic digester was recycled from the 5th to the 1st sector. As consequencies of above process modifications, the improvement of removal efficiency was achieved as BOD 54%, COD 42%, SS 61%, T-N 39%, and T-P 12%, respectively.

  • The continuous development of science and technology since the Industrial Revolution and the development of human civilization are based on the use of fossil fuels. However, the use of fossil fuels is increasing the greenhouse gas, the main cause of global warming, and global warming is an extreme climate anomaly that is rapidly increasing human and material damage. Therefore, efforts are being made worldwide to return greenhouse gases to pre-industrial levels. In Korea, 2050 carbon neutrality has been set as a major policy and efforts are being made to curb carbon emissions in the overall industry. Carbon emission suppression is based on the minimization of fossil fuel use, and research and development are underway on building a zero-emission house that minimizes the energy used in buildings in the construction field. Therefore, in this study, as part of the zero-emissions water system construction, waste resources generated at industrial sites were utilized and an integrated lightweight concrete solar panel grafted with a concrete lightweight panel and solar panel was manufactured and the possibility of its use was evaluated.

시멘트 복합체의 자기치유 성능평가 방법 (Evaluation Method of Self-healing Performance of Cement Composites)

  • 본 연구에서는 시멘트 복합체의 자기치유 성능평가를 위해 정수위투수시험, 염소이온 확산시험, 반복휨시험을 활용한 시험방법 및 분석방법을 제시하였고, 균열 유발방법과 균열폭 제어방법을 제안하였다. 정수위 투수시험은 시험체의 균열부를 통과하는 단위유출수량의 감소율을 이용하여 치유성능을 평가하는 시험방법으로 등가 균열폭을 활용하여 치유재령에 따른 치유효과를 직관적으로 규명할 수 있다. 염소이온 확산계수시험은 ASTM C 1202의 시험장치를 활용하여 구한 염소이온 확산계수의 감소율로 치유율을 평가하는 방법이다. 또한, 반복 휨 시험을 통하여 얻은 하중과 CMOD의 관계 그래프로부터 강도회복지수(ISR)과 손상복구지수(IDR)을 산정하여 역학적 치유성능을 평가할 수 있다. 마지막으로, 자기치유 소재의 혼입 유무에 따른 균열 시험체의 실험을 통해 본 연구에서 제시한 자기치유 평가방법의 적용성을 검토하였다.

Treatment of ground waters in a hollow-fibre liquid membrane contactor for removal of ions

  • Metal ions exist in seawater, groundwater and industrial wastewaters. These source waters can be recycled if their concentrations are reduced. A number of processes can be applied for this purpose. Liquid-liquid extraction is one of the promising methods. In this paper, experimental results are presented on the removal of Cr(VI) using Aliquat-336, a reactive carrier, in sunflower oil (a non-toxic solvent). The performance of this new system is compared with those of kerosene (a toxic solvent). The extent of removal of Cr(VI) from samples with high and low concentrations are presented. The process was upgraded to a bench-scale module that can selectively remove about 50-90% Cr(VI) from samples of groundwater. Thus this process can produce water within the acceptable range for recycling and for use in secondary purposes such as irrigation.

A Study on the Sustainable Features of Realized and Planned Floating Buildings

  • According to the climate change and the improvement of income level, floating building on water has been emerging as a strong alternative. This study was intended to suggest some reference materials of sustainability for new floating building projects. The concept of sustainability and floating building was investigated, and 3 realized projects and 3 planned projects were reviewed in terms of sustainability. Sustainable features of the sample projects can be summarized as recycled and relocatable usage, adoption of various renewable energy techniques, installation of self-supporting plant, application of modular system and others like new material & open layout. Sustainable features need to be developed more and more in detail and applied to many types of floating buildings.

콜레이서를 이용한 배기가스 세정수 처리 성능에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Treatment Performance of Coalescer to Treat Exhaust Gas Cleaning Water)

  • 본 연구에서는 선박에서 발생하는 대기오염물질을 처리하기 위해 사용되는 습식 스크러버를 이용한 배기가스 세정시스템(EGCS: Exhaust Gas Cleaning System)에서 발생되는 폐수를 재이용 할 수 있는 순환시스템을 개발하기 위해 진행되었다. 선박 배기가스 DePM, DeSOx 순환처리장치 (Recycle system)의 세정수의 입자성물질과 분산유를 효과적으로 제거할 수 있는 수 처리 시스템을 개발한 결과 원심분리형 Purifier만으로는 미세한 분산유의 처리가 어렵다는 결과가 도출되어 원심분리형 Purifier 후처리로 유수분리 경사 분리판을 이용한 유수분리기의 일종인 Coalescer를 본 시스템에 적용하였다. Coalescer는 2차 분산 상태의 에멀젼화 된 미세 기름입자를 합착시켜 분리하는 기술이다. 선박 배기가스 DePM, DeSOx 순환처리장치 (Recycle system)에서 배출되는 세정수를 Purifier와 Coalescer를 이용하여 처리한 결과 입자성물질은 55% 분산유는 유입수 대비 99%이상 처리되는 것을 확인하였다. 따라서 선박 대기오염 저감을 위한 습식세정탑 시스템에 본 세정수 처리시스템을 도입하면 세정수로서 재사용이 가능하다고 판단된다.

외식업체 통합주방의 효율적인 운영관리에 관한 연구 -통합주방의 중앙공급에 따른 효율화 사례중심으로- (A Study on Efficient Integrated Kitchen Management of Restaurant)

  • This study aims at efficiency of kitchen management by adoption of a systematic central kitchen and conversion of conventional kitchen to convenience kitchen at ' H ' restaurant. First, integrated menu control of banquet buffet functions became more competitive with quality menu and eventually brought about guests satisfaction. Second, systematic central kitchen made possible standardization and mass production through simplified production line. Efficiency through quick service and shortened preparation time was realized, and food materials were recycled effectively at the same time. Integrated ordering lowered purchasing price and built an efficient cost control system. Third, conversion of conventional kitchen to convenience kitchen and strengthened central kitchen system facilitated agreeable work conditions and optimal work flow with butcher's and even sauce making utensils. Fourth, integrated supply system of buffet menu and sauce from western restaurants saved about 520 million won of labor costs. Last, one integrated kitchen out of two was easier in sanitation control with pleasant restaurant space. Sharing kitchen facilities and equipments also saved about 30% of maintenance fee. Power, water, and gas were also saved and eventually curtailed overall expenses.
