도공층 구조 및 도공지의 인쇄적성에 관한 연구(II) - 라텍스 이온기가 도공층 구조에 미치는 영향 - (Studies on the Coating Structure and Printability of Coated Paper(II) - Effect of Ionic Groups of Latices on Coating Structure -)

  • This study was carried out to improve coating structure by controlling the electrostatic interaction of coating components and by changing the coating structure of coated paper prepared with amphoteric and anionic latices. The results indicated that amphoteric latex copolymerized with carboxylic and amine groups had stronger interaction with other coating components than anionic latex with branched carboxylic group by controlling pH. These properties of amphoteric latex showed positive effects on viscosity rheology, and supernatant sediment of coating color. The coated paper using amphoteric latex had also produced more porous and smoother coverage of the coating layer than that using anionic latex. This porous and smooth coating layer showed better optical properties and printability than those of anionic latex such as opacity, porosity, ink set-off, and wet ink receptivity.

  • The giant croaker, Nibea japonica is a large, estuarine sciaenid distributed around southem Korea and Japan. In Repubic of Korea, giant croaker is a highly desired commercial and recreational species and there is interest in develoment of techniques for production of fish for enhancement of wildstocks and aquaculture since the giant croaker possesses some desirable characteristics for aquaculture including tolerance to widely varying salinities and receptivity to induced spawning in captivity. Is Augmented Reality Advertising a Cure-all? An Empirical Investigation of the Impact of Innovation Resistance on Augmented Reality Advertising Effectiveness

  • This study employs an experimental design to investigate the conditions under which the use of AR may be particularly effective or rather ineffective in advertising contexts. We first discuss the inconsistent results regarding the effectiveness of AR on advertising message comprehension and argue that these inconsistencies can be at least partly explained by the moderating effect of an individual's resistance to innovation (i.e., AR technologies). We then provide statistically significant interaction effects between ad types (AR-based, traditional 2D) and innovation resistance. Finally, we suggest that the effect of AR on certain variables is constrained or unconstrained by an individual's level of receptivity or resistance to a new technology-based advertising platform, and that flow experience is equivalent regardless of these levels.

  • Endometrium receptivity is a complex mechanism of intricate pathways that lead to the shift from the proliferative to the secretory phase. Our goal was to identify high-ranking differentially expressed genes and study the pathways associated with the phenomenon. Raw data were retrieved from six GEO datasets and 705 DEGs were identified through robust ranking aggregation after the integration of five datasets. 20 key genes were identified that were further re-validated in an additional dataset. Supporting evidence through the experimental references confirms them as major biomarkers of the shift from the proliferative to the secretory phase.

트위터를 통한 기업과 고객과의 소통: 지속적인 팔로윙과 구전 의도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 대한 연구 (Following Firms on Twitter: Determinants of Continuance and Word-of-Mouth Intentions)

  • Many companies have recently become interested in using social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook as a new channel to communicate with their customers. For example, companies often offer "special deals" (e.g., coupons, discounts, free samples, etc.) to their customers who participate in promotions or events on social networking sites. Companies often make important announcements on their products or services on social networking sites. By doing so, customers are encouraged to continue to have relationships with companies on social networking sites and to recommend the companies' presence on social networking sites to other potential customers. Moreover, customers who keep close relationships with companies on social networking sites often provide the companies with valuable suggestions and feedback. For instance, Starbucks has more than 2 million followers on Twitter, and often receive suggestions and feedback for their product offerings and services from the followers on Twitter. Although companies realize potential benefits of using social networking sites as a channel to communicate with their customers, it appears that many companies have difficulty forging long-lasting relationships with customers on social networking sites. It is often reported that many customers who had followed companies on Twitter later stopped following them for various reasons. Therefore, it is an important issue to understand what motivates customers to continue to keep relationships with companies on social networking sites. Nonetheless, due attention has yet paid to this issue until recently. This study intends to contribute to our understanding on customers' intention to continue to follow companies on Twitter and to spread positive word-of-mouth about companies on Twitter. Specifically, we identify seven potential factors that customers perceive as important in evaluating their experience with companies on Twitter. The seven factors include similarity, receptivity, interactivity, ubiquitous connectivity, enjoyment, usefulness and transparency. We posit that the seven perception factors can affect the two types of satisfaction, emotional and cognitive, which can in turn influence on customers' intention to follow companies on Twitter and to spread positive word-of-mouth about companies on Twitter. Research hypotheses formulated in this study were tested with data collected from a questionnaire survey administered to customers who had been following companies on Twitter. The data was analyzed with the partial least square (PLS) approach to structural equation modeling. The results of data analysis based on 177 usable responses were generally supportive of our predictions for the effects of the seven factors identified and the two types of satisfaction. In particular, out results suggest that emotional satisfaction was strongly influenced by perceived similarity, perceived receptivity, perceived enjoyment, and perceived transparency. Cognitive satisfaction was significantly influenced by perceived similarity, perceived interactivity, perceived enjoyment, and perceived transparency. While cognitive satisfaction was found to have significant and positive effects on both continued following and word-of-mouth intentions, emotional satisfaction had a significant and positive effect only on word-of-mouth intention.

난포자극호르몬이 인간의 자궁 기질세포의 유전자 발현 양상에 미치는 영향 (Alteration of Gene Expressions in Human Endometrial Stromal Cells by Exogeneous FSH Treatments)

  • Objective: To evaluate the effects of recombinant FSH (rFSH) and urinary FSH (uFSH) on the gene expressions of human endometrial stromal cells in vitro. Methods: Endometrial tissue was obtained from a pre-menopausal women undergoing hysterectomy. Primary endometrial stromal cells were isolated and in vitro cultured with FBS-free DMEM/F-12 containing 0, 10, 100, and 1, 000 mIU/ml of rFSH and uFSH for 48 hours, respectively. Total RNA was extracted from the cultured cells and subjected to real time RT-PCR for the quantitative analysis of progesterone receptor (PR), estrogen receptor $\alpha/\beta$ (ER-$\alpha/\beta$), cyclooxygenase 2 (Cox-2), leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF), homeobox A10-1 and -2 (HoxA10-1/-2). Results: Both hormone treatments slightly increased (< 3 folds) the expressions of PR, ER-$\beta$ and HoxA10-1/-2 gene. However, ER-$\alpha$ expression was increased up to five folds by treatments of both FSH for 48 hours. The LIF expression by the 10 mIU/ml of uFSH for 12 hours was significantly higher than that of rFSH (p<0.01). After 24 hours treatment of two kinds of hormones, the expression patterns of LIF were similar. The 100 and 1, 000 mIU/ml of rFSH induced significantly higher amount of Cox-2 expression than those of uFSH, respectively (p<0.05). Conclusion: This study represents no adversely effect of exogeneous gonadotropins, rFSH and uFSH, on the expression of implantation related genes. We suggest that rFSH is applicable for the assisted reproductive technology without any concern on the endometrial receptivity.

서울시 태양광 보급 정책의 적정보조금 산정에 관한 연구 - 수용자적 입장에서의 재무성 분석을 중심으로 - (A financial feasibility study of the Mini-Solar Penal Subsidy Program in Seoul)

  • 재생에너지 보급 및 활성화의 가장 큰 걸림돌은 경제성이라고 할 수 있다. 하지만 공급자적 측면에서 바라보는 경제성과 수용자적 측면에서 바라보는 경제성에는 차이가 존재한다. 이러한 문제의식을 바탕으로 본 연구는 최근 서울시에서 추진하고 있는 미니태양광 지원 사업을 신재생에너지 수용성과 사회적 형평성에 기초하여 경제성 재무성 분석을 통한 적정보조금 규모를 도출하고자 하였다. 분석결과 미니태양광 지원 사업은 전력소비가 많은 가구에 도입 될 때 높은 경제적 효과를 확인할 수 있었으며, 에너지 저소비 계층에게는 가격적으로 부담이 되는 결과를 확인하였다. 구체적으로 월평균 전력을 401kWh ~ 500kWh 규모로 사용하는 가구는 약 5 년이면 투자자금이 회수되는 것으로 분석 되었지만, 월평균 201 kWh ~ 300kWh, 301kWh ~ 400kWh 전력소비 계층은 약 8년~9년, 그리고 101kWh ~ 200kWh의 소규모 전력을 사용하는 계층은 약 12 년이 지나야 설치금액 회수가 가능한 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 결과는 미니태양광 지원사업이 현재와 같은 단일 보조금 지급 방식이 아닌 가구별 평균 전력소비량에 따라 차등지급 하는 방향으로 수정되어야 더 나은 효과를 기대할 수 있을 것이라는 점을 의미한다. 본 연구는 이와같은 차등보조금 지급 방안이 도입될 때 신재생에너지 정책이 가지는 소득 역진적 효과를 줄이고 사회적 형평성 실현에 기여 할 수 있을 것이라는 점을 제안한다.

난자공여 프로그램에서 난자수혜자의 연령이 임신율에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (Effect of Recipient's Age on the Pregnancy Outcomes in Oocyte Donation Program)

  • Oocyte donation program developed to reach the pregnancy in those patients suffering from premature ovarian failure or surgery induced menopause, particularly in their reproductive age. With technical advances and popularity of ART (assisted reproductive technology), the indication of oocyte donation program extended to low responders, and even to naturally menopaused patients that has led them quite successfully to getting in pregnancy. The purpose of this study was to evaluate which one is involved in the decline of fertility between the oocyte and uterine factor. One hundred five cycles of oocyte donation program were performed in 84 patients from Jan., 1993 to Dec., 1996. Oocytes were donated from healthy, young, fertile anonymous donors or relatives or infertile patients with supernumerary oocytes. The study population was divided into 3 groups according to the age of recipients. Group 1 was less than 35 years old, Group 2 was between 35 to 39 years old, and Group 3 was more than 39 years old. The results were as follows: The mean age of oocyte donor was $31.5{\pm}3.3$ (range; 25-36). The mean concentration of basal serum FSH and peak serum estradiol were not different among groups. The mean number of oocytes retrieved from donors, embryos transferred to recipients, and fertilization rate were not different among groups. The clinical pregnancy rate was 37.3% in Group 1, 31.6% in Group 2, and 31.6% in Group 3, respectively. The spontaneous abortion rate was 16.0% in Group 1, 16.7% in Group 2, and 16.7 in Group 3, respectively. The multiple pregnancy rate was 20.0% in Group 1, 16.7% in Group 2, 16,7% in Group 3, respectively, The implantation rate was 11.3% in Group 1, 10.3% in Group 2 and 10.0% in Group 3, respectively. All of the pregnancy outcomes were not different statistically among groups. In conclusion, endometrial receptivity does not seem to be impaired as age increases with transfer of good quality embryos and adequate endometrial preparation.

Constitutive Exocytosis of Seminal Fluid Proteins in Male Accessory Glands and Ejaculatory Duct of Drosophila melanogaster

  • Male accessory glands and ejaculatory duct of Drosophila melanogaster are reproductive organs which synthesize secretory seminal proteins. Several products of these organs involved in egg laying, receptivity, and sperm stability or storage were isolated from their lumens. Despite their secretory process play an important role, exocytosis pathway in these organs is not well known. In the present study, we characterized secretory protein profiles and determined their secretory mechanisms. Eight accessory gland secretory proteins and two ejaculatory duct secretory proteins were detected in their lumens. All these proteins were constitutively synthesized in these organs and secreted to their lumens. Secretion of newly synthesized proteins initiated at about 1 h after synthesis, and reached the peak at 4 h after synthesis. It seems that secretion of the proteins may occur via constitutive exocytosis pathway.

  • This paper was made to evaluate the effect of the type of latex for coating on the printability by investigating the structure of pore such as the pore fraction, the number of pores, pore size and distribution of coated paper. The coated structure is mainly depend on the results of interaction between pigment and binder. It means that the structure of pore formed is chiefly affected by the type of latex. This physical properties of pore have a close relation with ink set-off associated with the drying rate, the speed of penetration of ink into base paper and printing gloss. Therefore it was necessary to find out the relationship between pore structure and the performance of printability by modifying the type of latex to vary the pore structure of coated paper. Acrylic latex was superior to S/B latex in the sedimentation volume, compressibility, smoothness, pore fraction and its number, the weight of transferred ink onto the coated paper and ink repellance. In contrast, water retention and ink setting were not good. in the comparison of anionic and amphoteric latex, amphoteric latex showed better performance in the thickness, smoothness, pore fraction and its number, pore size, the weight of ink transmitted and K&N ink receptivity, etc.
