  • biped robots are expected to robustly traverse terrain with various unknown surfaces. The robot will occasionally encounter the unexpected events in made-for human environments. The slipping is a very real and serious problem in the unexpected events. The robot system must respond to the unexpected slipping after it has occurred and before control is lost. This paper proposes a reflex control method for biped robots to recover from slipage. Computer simulations with the 6-DOF environment model which consists of nonlinear dampers, nonlinear springs, and linear springs, show that the proposed method is effective in preventing fall-down due to slippage.

  • Korea Institute of Geology Mining and Materials(KIGAM) has been operating Korean Earthquake Monitoring System(KEMS) to archive the real-time data stream and to determine event parameters (epicenter origin time and magnitude)by the automatic processing and analyst review. To do this KEMS uses the Vindel Hue's velocity model which was derived from Wonju KSRS data. Because KIGAM now receives the real-time data from many stations including Wonju KSRS Cholwon seismo-acoustic array Uljin Wolsung Youngkwang Taejon Seoul Kimcheon Taegu etc. the proper velocity model should be established around the Korean peninsula, In this study P were velocity structures was derived from VELEST program using 69 events among the 835 events determined by KEMS in 1999 which were recorded by at least 5 stations. General trend of velocity structure was similar to Sang Jo Kim's model but velocity value was low in crust and high in upper mantle. Due to the sensitivity of inversion results to the initial input model the artificial short and blast data might be added.

  • The Total Electron Content (TEC) measured from Global Positioning System (GPS) can be continuously or peculiarly increased (positive ionospheric storm) or decreased (negative ionospheric storm) with solar and geomagnetic activities as well as the chemical and dynamic processes with thermosphere in the mid-latitudes. The ionospheric storm is not easy to predict owing to its difficult mechanism, and the real-time GPS TEC monitoring may be useful to follow ionospheric response to solar and geomagnetic storms. Korea Astronomy & Space Science Institute has continuously monitor GPS TEC over Korea Peninsula in near real-time of 10 minutes to watch activities. In this presentation, we will report the variation of GPS TEC over Daejeon and JeJu in Korea during the period of solar flare eruption and geomagnetic storm events in 2011. These events in 2011 will be compared with the event in October 2003 and November 2004.

  • In this paper, we implement to make the character content with the floating hologram. The floating hologram is the one of hologram techniques for projecting the 2D image to represent the 3D image in the air using the glass panel. The floating hologram technique is easy to apply and is used in exhibitions, corporate events, and advertising events. This paper uses both the depth information and the unreal engine for the floating hologram. Simulation results show that this method can make the character content to follow the movement of the user in the real time by capturing the depth video.

  • This study focuses on the effect of Social Scaffolding of virtual community on its growth and thrift. The research model proposed in this study is that communities, which have goof social scaffolding, tend to grow and thrive. Social Scaffolding refers to those aspects of a site Purpose, Places, Profiles, leaders, Roles, Rules, Cyclic Events, integrating with the real world, and Subgroups. The data were collected from 100 virtual communities in Daum Communications and analyzed in this study. Multiple regression is used to analyze the relationship of variables. The result is following ; purpose, loaders, rules, integrating with the real world support the effects of social scaffolding of virtual community on its growth and thrift, but profiles, roles, cyclic events do not. The result of this study implies the importance of social scaffolding of virtual community for re-searches, and developers.

  • With the vision of Internet of Things (IoT), physical world itself is becoming a connected information system on the Internet and cyber world is computing as a physical act to sense and respond to real-world events collaboratively. The systems that tightly interlink the cyber and physical worlds are often referred to as Smart Systems or Cyber-Physical Systems. Smart IoT Clouds aim to provide a cyber-physical infrastructure for utility (pay-as-you-go) computing to easily and rapidly build, modify and provision auto-scale smart systems that continuously monitor and collect data about real-world events and automatically control their environment. Developing specifications for service interoperability is critical to enable to achieve this vision. In this paper, we bring an issue to extend Open Cloud Computing Interface for uniform, interoperable interfaces for Smart IoT Cloud Services to access services and build a smart system through orchestrating the cloud services.

  • There has been significant progress in the development of timed process algebra for the specification and analysis of real-time systems in recent years. ACSR is a timed process algebra, which supports synchronous timed actions and asynchronous instantaneous events. Timed actions model the usage of shared resources and the passage of time, whereas events allow synchronization between processes. To be able to specify real-time systems more effectively, this paper suggests the notion of probabilities. This paper also illustrates extended PACSR with a typical resource allocation system and its deadlock specification and analysis.

  • With the increasing demand for real time applications in the Wireless Senor Network (WSN), real time critical events anticipate an efficient quality-of-service (QoS) based routing for data delivery from the network infrastructure. Designing such QoS based routing protocol to meet the reliability and delay guarantee of critical events while preserving the energy efficiency is a challenging task. Considerable research has been focused on developing robust energy efficient QoS based routing protocols. In this paper, we present the state of the research by summarizing the work on QoS based routing protocols that has already been published and by highlighting the QoS issues that are being addressed. The performance comparison of QoS based routing protocols such as SAR, MMSPEED, MCMP, MCBR, and EQSR has also been analyzed using ns-2 for various parameters.

  • With the development of ICT, the amount of data increases, and the technology of storing and processing becomes important. In this study, we study real-time file copy leakage prevention system to prevent leakage of important data in enterprises, public places, etc. As a research method, we propose a system that detects events in real time to prevent data leakage after analyzing data leakage cases and problems. The file leakage prevention system compares and analyzes with the existing EDLP system, and the proposed system reduces load and detects events. Future research requires research on the prevention of leaks through networks and various channels.

  • Empirical probability and classical probability, which are two interpretations of Kolmogorov's axiom, are two ways to recognize the chances of events occurring in the real world. In this paper, I analyzed and suggested the contents of the high school textbooks ${\ll}$Probability and Statistics${\gg}$, associated with two interpretations of probability and experiments on which two interpretations are based. By presenting the cases required expressly stating what the experiment is for supporting students' understanding of some concepts, it was discussed that stating or not stating what the experiment is should be carefully determined by the educational intent. Especially, I suggested that in the textbooks we contrast the good idea of calculating the ratios of two possibilities in the imaginary world of the classical probability with the normal idea of grasping the chances of events through the frequencies in the real world of the empirical probability, with distinguishing the experiments in two interpretations of probability. I also suggested that in the textbooks we make it clear that the Weak Law of Large Numbers justifies our expectations of the frequencies' reflecting the chances of events occurring in the real world under ideal conditions. Teaching and learning about the aesthetic elements and the practicality of imaginary mathematical thinking supported by these textbooks statements could be one form of Humanities education in mathematics as STEAM education.
