The real area of contacts, average film thickness, mean real pressure, and mean hydrodynamic pressure are investigated numerically in this study, especially for the parallel thrust bearing. Model surface is generated numerically with given autocorrelation function and some surface profile parameters. Then the average Reynolds equation contained flow factors and contact factor is applied to predict the effects of surface roughness in mixed lubrication regimes. In this equation, flow factors are defined as correction terms to smooth out high frequency surface roughness and contact factor is introduced to relieve from obtaining the average film thickness. Therefore the computation time to obtain h can be reduced.
A resin bonded copper-graphite brush was investigated to evaluate the characteristics electrical signal transmission through a sliding contact as a function of the relative amount of graphite and copper in the brush. Particular attention was given to the correlation between electrical signal fluctuation and tribological properties in an electrical sliding contact system. A ring-on-block type tribotester was used for this experiment and the ring was made from pure copper. Results showed that a copper-graphite brush at a particular composition range exhibited the most stable frictional behavior with a minimum voltage drop. The amount of voltage drop at the friction interface was affected by the surface roughness, transfer film formation at the friction interface, and the real area of contact. Microscopic observations and the surface analysis showed a good agreement with the results from this experiment. The results also indicated that the electrical signal flunctuation was directly associated with the oscillation of the coefficient of friction during sliding by nanoscale variation of contacts at the friction interface.

This paper presents the hot spot behaviors on the rubbing surface of ventilated disk brake by using finite element method. The depth of asperities on the rubbing surface is usually $2-3\;{\mu}m$ so the real contact area is microscopically. Non-uniform contacts between the disk and the pads lead to high local temperatures, which may cause the material degradation, and develops hot spots, thermal cracking, and brake system failures at the end. High contact asperity flash temperatures in rubbing systems, which is strongly related to the hot spot. It was generally known that high temperature over about $700^{\circ}C$ may form martensite on the cast iron which is material for automotive disk brakes. In this paper, the contact stress, temperature distribution and strain have been presented for the specific asperities of real contact area microscopically by using coupled thermal-mechanical analysis technique.

The energy corporation of Kosovo continuously monitors and analyzes the impact of its own activities on the environment. Regarding the environmental situation, energy corporation of Kosovo- ECK regularly informs and reports objectively to the competent state institutions, local municipal institutions and interested parties. ECK, through numerous contacts with the competent authorities, firstly with different ministers, harmonizes the positions regarding environmental issues in the direction of achieving certain environmental standards or legal requirements in order to gradually be in accordance with them, based on the real possibilities, especially the financial ones. From this point of view, the environmental issue is very sensitive, quite complex and represents one of the biggest challenges of society currently and in the future. The researched variables show a continuous increase in the need for electricity production in Kosovo and this increase in production conditions a wide range of environmental impacts both at the local, regional and global levels. The aim of the work is to reduce the emission of pollutants through the main variables without inhibiting the economic development of the country, i.e. to bring the pollution as a result of the activities of the ECK operation into compliance with the permitted environmental norms. As a result of ECK's operational activities, the following follows: Air pollution mainly as a result of emissions from TCs in the air, transport, etc. Water pollution - as a result of technological water discharges, Land degradation - as a result of surface mining activities of the entire mining area. The purpose of the paper is to research and analyze the main water variables in the area of the Kosova B power plant, which is to determine the degree of their pollution from the activities of the power plants, as well as to assess the real state of surface water quality and control the degree of pollution of these waters. Methodology of the work: The analyzes of the water samples were done in the company Institute "INKOS" JSC by simultaneous methods using different reagents.

In a micro-scale contact, surface forces such as capillary force and van der Waals Interaction significantly Influence the contact between asperities of rough surfaces. Little is, however, known about the variation of these surface forces as a function of chemical property of the surface (hydrophilicity), relative humidity and deformation of asperities In the real area of contact. A better understanding of these surface forces is of great necessity in order to find an optimal solution for reducing friction and adhesion of micro surfaces. We proposed an effective method to analyze capillary and van der Waals forces In nano-scale contact. In this method, Winklerian foundation model was employed to analyze the contact of rough surfaces that were obtained from atomic force microscopy (AFM) height Images. Self-mated contact of diamond-like-carbon (DLC) coatings was analyzed, as an example, by the proposed model. It was shown that the capillary force was significantly influenced by relative humidify and wet angle of the DLC surface. The deformation of asperities to a critical magnitude by external loading led to a considerable increase of both capillary and van der Waals forces.

The objective of this study is to investigate the surface forces in micro-scale rough surface contact. We proposed an effective method to analyze capillary and van der Waals forces in micro-scale contact. Self-mated contact of DLC(diamond like carbon) coatings was analyzed, as an example, by the proposed model. In this paper, we propose a vision and depth information based real-time hand gesture interface method using finger joint estimation. For this, the areas of left and right hands are segmented after mapping of the visual image and depth information image, and labeling and boundary noise removal is performed. Then, the centroid point and rotation angle of each hand area are calculated. Afterwards, a circle is expanded at following pattern from a centroid point of the hand to detect joint points and end points of the finger by obtaining the midway points of the hand boundary crossing and the hand model is recognized. Experimental results that our method enabled fingertip distinction and recognized various hand gestures fast and accurately. As a result of the experiment on various hand poses with the hidden fingers using both hands, the accuracy showed over 90% and the performance indicated over 25 fps. The proposed method can be used as a without contacts input interface in HCI control, education, and game applications.
Purpose - Foodservices have grown to over 60% of the franchise industry. However, despite reaching this high level, the foodservice franchise industry is experiencing severe ups and downs. While factors such as expansion by franchises and the entry of large multinational firms are causing this imbalance, the more serious problem faced by franchisees is the lack of know-how and correct operating procedures. Franchise headquarters should advise franchisees on important matters such as food ingredients, interior design, tableware, and fixtures. However, even though franchise headquarters have the ability to impart such management know-how, this is often a neglected area. Research design, data and methodology - This study was conducted in an industrial environment to present suitable competitive alternatives for foodservice franchises. Empirical analysis was conducted using a sample of 232 people with experience in targeting customers. The main purpose of this study is not to identify and analyze the factors affecting customer satisfaction. Customers of the Food Service Industry to invite contacts until departure for the service flow by identifying the expectations and allow this area by analyzing the resulting measures to enhance the competitiveness has presented. Results - Actual results contact factors affecting the quality of service on customer satisfaction was a significant influence. However, the end of this analysis, the actual customer satisfaction directly affects the quality of service that is only important factor can commit mistakes. Relatively large impact on customer satisfaction, which is relatively independent of the quality factor should be a review of zone of tolerance. In this study, eating phase relative to contact the service customer satisfaction was the most influential. The results, however, zone of tolerance for an area in the waiting and ordering dissatisfaction factors are appearing. And in the course of these services outside the zone of tolerance area is unsatisfactory evaluation is being done. Conclusions - After all, Foodservice, the contact service management for zone of tolerance the top priority should be can be seen. Foodservice contact first in the case of service quality factors caused by the continuous flow of services, so this step-by-step identification needs to be clearer. This, of course, to distinguish between the actual per unit of activity appears to be more difficult to follow, for it seems to need a lot of future complementary. Next is the assessment of customer service quality. Customers remember the experience for the services of a real contact through the assessment and service evaluation clearly emerge as the expected level can be difficult. However, this situation is controlled by the test method cannot be avoided unless there is no limit to the number of leave. Despite these limitations, the next step to contact a service evaluation and analysis have to continue to refine and thereby franchisees for the operation of the store in terms of practical know-how required to provide to the office believe.

We fabricated a large-scale photovoltaic device for detecting-3-5$\mu$m IR, by forming of n$^{+}$-p junction in the $Hg_{1-x}Cd_{x}$Te (MCT) layer which was grown by LPE on CdTe substrate. The composition x of the MCT epitaxial layer was 0.295 and the hole concentration was 1.3${\times}10^{13}/cm^{4}$. The n$^{+}$-p junction was formed by B+ implantation at 100 keV with a does 3${\times}10^{11}/cm^{2}. The n$^{+}$ region has a circular shape with 2.68mm diameter. The vacuum-evaporated ZnS with resistivity of 2${\times}10^{4}{\Omega}$cm is used as an insulating layer over the epitaxial layer. ZnS plays the role of the anti-reflection coating transmitting more than 90% of 3~5$\mu$m IR. For ohmic contacts, gole was used for p-MCT and indium was used for n$^{+}$-MCT. The fabrication took 5 photolithographic masks and all the processing temperatures of the MCT wafer were below 90$^{\circ}C$. The R,A of the fabricated devices was 7500${\Omega}cm^{2}$. The carrier lifetime of the devices was estimated 2.5ns. The junction was linearly-graded and the concentration slope was measured to be 1.7${\times}10^{17}/{\mu}m$. the normalized detectivity in 3~5$\mu$m IR was 1${\times}10^{11}cmHz^{12}$/W, which is sufficient for real application.
