심장 CT 영상에서 밝기값 분포와 적응적 기울기 프로파일을 이용한 좌심실 내외벽 경계 검출 (Endo- and Epi-cardial Boundary Detection of the Left Ventricle Using Intensity Distribution and Adaptive Gradient Profile in Cardiac CT Images)

  • 본 논문에서는 CT 영상에서 밝기값 분포와 기울기 정보를 고려한 방사선 추적 기반의 좌심실 내외벽 자동 분할 기법을 제안한다. 첫째, 심근 내벽 경계는 임계값 기법과 영역확장법으로 분할하고, 꼭지근을 포함하는 위하여 방사형의 방사선 추적 기법을 이용하여 분할한다. 둘째, 심근 외벽 경계는 적응적 기울기 프로파일 내에 심근의 밝기값과 최대 기울기를 갖는 점을 추출한다. 마지막으로, 타원이나 원의 형태를 유지하기 위하여 내외벽의 잘못된 경계점들을 타원방정식으로 선형 보간하고 B-스플라인을 적용하여 최종 분할된 결과를 추출한다. 제안방법의 평가를 위해 육안평가와 정확성 평가, 수행시간을 측정하였다. 정확성 평가를 위하여 임상의의 수동 분할 결과와 제안 방법 분할 결과 간의 평균거리차이와 중복영역비율을 측정하였다. 실험 결과 평균거리차이는 $0.56{\pm}0.24mm$로 측정되었고, 평균 중복영역비율은 평균 $82{\pm}4.2%$로 측정되었다. 제안 방법을 적용한 수행 시간은 평균 1초로 수행을 완료하였다.

신 반응고 슬러리의 개발과 베어링 브라켓에 대한 적용 (Development of New Semi-solid Method and Practical Application to Bearing Bracket)

  • The bearing bracket, which has produced by the squeeze casting for the high strength in lightweight part of automobile, was developed by the rheocasting process using the H-NCM slurry. Compared with the squeeze casting, the rheocasting process has some merits such as shortening cycle-time, reducing total weight, and increasing productivity. In this study, partial feeding test was carried out by controlling plunger stroke length and compared with semisolid simulation. Optimal casting parameters such as injection speed and stroke variations were established. Sound products with integral microstructure were obtained by the H-NCM slurry and X-ray analysis also showed the integral condition throughout the entire parts.

가열주형 수평식연속주조법에 의한 Al-Si 합금 용접봉 제조 (The preparation of Al-Si alloy welding rod by the horizontal continuous casting process with the heating mold)

  • The horizontal continuous casting process with the heating mold was adopted for fabricating defect-free 4043 Al alloy rods of 3.2m dia. with mirror surfaces. These rods were drawn into 2.4mm dia. rods for GTAW welding. The GTAW welding tests were carried out by use of these welding rods with 6061 Al alloy as a base metal. After welding, the X-ray tests, tensile strength tests, bending tests, and microstructural analysis of welded zone and HAZ were carried out. The results represented that the welding rods with good surfaces and welding properties could be made by the horizontal continuous casting, and followed by the drawing process.

Preparation of Prolonged Release Clarithromycin Microparticles for Oral Use and Their In Vitro Evaluation

  • Prolonged release micro particles of clarithromycin (CL) were prepared using Eudragit RL 100 and RS 100 by spray-drying and casting-drying techniques. For the characterization of those microparticles, preparation yield, particle size distribution, X-ray diffraction, thermal behavior, active agent content and in vitro dissolution from the microparticles were performed. HPLC was used for the assay of clarithromycin and the assay method was validated. All the formulations obtained showed prolonged release when compared to pure clarithromycin. Microparticles prepared by spray-drying method had a slower release compared to those of casting drying method. Spray-drying method seems to be a more suitable method to prepare microparticles for prolongation in release.

Fabrication of Textured $Al_2O_3-Mullite-SiC$ Nano-composite by Slip Casting in a High Magnetic Field and Reaction Sintering

  • We have demonstrated that textured $Al_2O_3-mullite-SiC$ nanocomposites can be fabricated by slip casting followed by partial oxidation - reaction sintering of mixed suspensions of $Al_2O_3$ and SiC powders in a high magnetic field. The sintered density was changed by the degree of oxidation at 1200C and 1300C. The degree of orientation of alumina in the nanocomposite was examined on the basis of the X-ray diffraction patterns and scanning electron micrographs. It is confirmed that alumina-oriented nanocomposites were fabricated. The three-point bending strength at room temperature was observed for the nanocomposites.

분석적 광선 추적법을 이용한 체적시각화 시스템 (Volume Visualization System Using an Analytical Ray Casting)

  • 본 논문에서는 체적 시각화 과정을 이론적으로 고찰하여 시각화 모델을 제시하고 그 모델로 유도된 관계로부터 미분 방정식을 이용하여 분석적 체적 시각화 해법을 구하였다. 이 분석적 방법을 제적 시각화의 대표적인 방법인 Levoy의 이산적 광선 추적법과 비교하여 본 연구에서 제시한 방법의 특수한 형태가 Levoy의 이산적 방법임을 보였다. 그리고 체적 데이터를 시각화기 위해서는 사용자가 시각화하기를 원하는 부위를 선택하고 이 부분만을 추출하는 영역 분할 작업이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 영역확장법에 기반을 둔 효율적인 3차원 영역 분할 기법을 개발하여 위의 분석적인 방법을 이용하여 3차원 제적 데이터의 시각화를 위한 시스템을 구현하였다. 그리고 본 접근법에 대한 의의와 유용함에 대한 가설적인 결론을 구현된 시스템을 이용한 실험에 근거하여 유도하였다. Lovoy의 이산적인 방법과 분석적인 방법을 같은 데이터에 대해 3차원 영역 분할 수행 후 적용한 실험은 분석적인 방법이 이산적인 방법에 비해 렌더링된 이미지의 질이 더 좋음을 보여준다.

  • In this paper, a simplified visualization method is proposed for an urban space in consideration of weather and sun moving. In the proposed method, buildings and roads with shadows are visualized by the ray tracing algorithm. Also sky, snow, and rain are visualized by textures. Some textures such as snow and rain are generated in advance by the ray casting algorithm. Then we can obtain images with weather condition and shadows of sunlight by buildings along the road in relatively low computational cost

Study on the Production of Aluminum Components by Direct Rheo Die Casting with Electromagnetic Stirrer

  • This paper relates a rheo die casting using electromagnetic force, which is one of the representative semi-solid methods for aluminum. The most important factors in electromagnetic stirring would be the melt temperature, sleeve temperature, electromagnetic force, and input time. The effect of the temperature of molten alloy on the direct rheo-casting is assessed in this study. The temperature of the molten alloy is set to 590 ℃ with a solidification of 40%, 600 ℃ with 30%, and 610℃ with less than 20%. Under the condition of 590 ℃ with a solidification of 40%, the whole molten alloy is solidified, causing non-forming during forming process. Meanwhile, under the condition of 600 ℃, where the solidification was 30%, appropriate amount of molten alloy is solidified, filled well into the mold, resulting in good forming, while at 610 ℃ with the solidification of 20%, the molten alloy is not sufficiently solidified and scattered away. The investigation of the defects inside the product with the help of the X-ray equipment shows that the electromagnetic stirring at 590 ℃ with a solidification of 30% produces many air-pores inside the product.

  • The properties of materials which are widely used in industry fields like automobile, shipbuilding, casting, and electronics are strongly needed to have higher surface hardness, lower surface roughness, and higher compressive residual stress. As mentioned above, for the purpose of satisfying three factors, a variety of researches with respect to surface improvement have been actively studied and applied to every industry. SKD61 which is mostly used for die casting process of cold chamber method must meet a countless number of problems which are thermal, mechanical and chemical from highly specific working environment at high temperature over 600℃. Above all, in case of plunger sleeves used for die casting process, thermal fatigue has a bad effect on the surface of an inlet where molten metal is repeatedly injected. On account of it, plunger sleeves cause manufacturers to deteriorate quality of products. Therefore, in this paper, to improve the surface of an inlet of plunger sleeve, multilayer PVD coating using Ti, Cr and Mo is suggested. Furthermore, The surface characteristics such as surface roughness(Rsa, Rsq), surface hardness(HRB, HRC) and residual stress using XRD(X-ray diffractometer) of coated samples and specimens are studied and discussed.
