한국철도차량의 디자인 포시셔닝 (Design Positioning of the Korea Railway)

  • The Korea railway design trends has been developed by the change of the society and culture through the consideration of the history of railway. The railway design trends is as the vehicles in the external form of railways, instantly means to plan and create the value added something like the form of the exterior design. The railway design has been changing form instinctive methods to settle the mass transport of the early days, to sensitive methods to pursue the railway culture centering around human being. As dividing by the style's change of railway in image scale aspects between 1800's and 2005 according to the life environment into the external nation, there are big differences so that is to study the development history of the railway design accordingly each nation (Korea, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Japan) and the style's change, to confirm into the design applied in society and culture needs, and to analyze by a year in changes of the environment and the railway design history. This paper analyzed railway introduced as railway models by top 4 nation (United Kingdom, Germany, France, Japan) and Korea in the past years(1800-2005) for their Korea railway design trends by image scale positioning.

  • 축간거리가 긴 트럭이나 굴절차량과 같이 차량이 길이가 길고 2량 이상 편성된 차량은 회전반경을 줄여 원활하게 곡선을 주행할 수 있도록 전 차륜 조향방식(AWS)을 적용한다. 굴절차량에 도입된 방법은 네덜란드 APTS사의 Phileas 차량이 유일하며 자동으로 운전하기 위한 제어방법에 대한 논문은 발표되었지만 수동으로 조향되어 운전되는 경우에 대한 알고리즘은 소개되거나 공개되어지지 않았다. 따라서 본 연구에서 네덜란드의 APTS사의 차량에 대한 수동운전시의 조향장치 특성을 분석하고 새로운 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 또한 개발된 알고리즘을 상용 동역학 프로그램인 ADAMS를 이용하여 적용성을 알아보았다.

  • According to railway safety regulations for securing the railway vehicle's quality and performance, it can be partly exempted that the performance tests and production inspections on the railway vehicles which are produced and assembled for the purpose of test and research. The reasons of this exemption are for ensuring maximum autonomy and for saving time considered the development period of railway vehicle. However, it was continuously demanded the necessity of supplementation on the confirmation about railway vehicle's quality & performance. Therefore, we added "The monitoring step" which is for securing the quality and performance in high speed railway vehicle's subsystem & compartment to supplement those tests & inspections in development. In this paper, based on a standard ABS(Activity Breakdown Structure) of railway vehicle and a WBS(Work Breakdown Structure) of the railway vehicle system, we investigate the necessity of monitoring in the High speed railway vehicle development. And by comparing and analyzing the essential requirements of international standard, IRIS(International Railway Industry Standard) & TSI(Technical Specification for Interoperability), we try to examine a standard monitoring procedure.

  • The process of railway traffic planning is composed of several steps such as long - term, mid - term, short - term, and real - time plan. The planning of vehicle and manpower resources is a main research topic in tactical short - term planning step Railway vehicle is usually consisted of a power car, passenger/freight cars and human resource is composed of engine driver, cabin crew, ground personnel. So far , power car was main research target in railway vehicle scheduling problem. Recently according as the light electric railway or high - speed railway is introduced, the operational planning of train set vehicles become important . In this paper , we introduce the conceptional model for trainset restoring problem and developed heuristic algorithm.

  • A wheel and axle failure can cause a derailment with its attendant loss of life and property. The service conditions of railway vehicles have become severe in recent years due to a general increase in operating speeds. Damages of railway wheel are a spatting by wheel/rail contact and thermal crack by braking heat etc. One of the main source of damage is a residual stress. therefore it is important to evaluate exactly. A Residual stress of wheel is formed at the process of heat treatment when manufacturing. it is changed by contact stress developed by wheel/rail contact. Distributions of residual stress vary according to a magnitude of wheel load, a magnitude of friction when acceleration and deceleration. The objective of this paper is to estimate the influence of wheel motion on the residual stress distribution in the vicinity of the running surface.

  • This study proposes a AC/DC railway vehicle control algorithm that enables simultaneous driving of AC and DC power supply sections. In the Seoul metropolitan region, trolley voltage for railway vehicle is divided into AC and DC power supplies. Therefore, AC/DC railway vehicle algorithm is essential for driving on the outskirts of the region. This study analyzes resonance and beat phenomena for simultaneously running in AC and DC power supply sections, and proposes a control algorithm for railway vehicles with the application of damping and beatless controls based on this analysis. The performance of the proposed algorithm is verified by simulation and analysis of actual driving results.

  • Due to global climate change issues, there is a growing demand for systems throughout the industry. In the case of power conversion, studies have been actively conducted to change the structure of the power conversion circuit and to apply new power devices. In particular, the WBG (Wide Band Gap), which is newly emerged device in the market for developing semiconductor technology, has demonstrated advantages in applying for various aspects in comparison to the existing Si (Silicon) Semiconductor. Recent research centers in the railway industry are focusing on developing technologies suitable for railway vehicles by utilizing these new developments in railway countries such as Japan and Europe. This paper researches the WBG device that is applicable to the auxiliary power supplies (APS) in railway system, and analyzes the downsizing effects to APS in high-speed railway by conducting a theoretical analysis and simulation.

전동차 현가구조에 따른 동적거동특성 분석 (Analysis on the Dynamic Behavior according to Suspension Structure of the Urban Railway Vehicle)

  • 다수의 승객을 운송하는 도시철도 전동차는 도시 철도교통시스템의 핵심이다. 따라서 차량의 동적성능이 확보가 차량 안전 확보 및 승객서비스 차원에서 선행되어야 한다. 철도차량의 진동, 승차감과 같은 동적거동은 현가시스템 구조 및 현가요소에 따라 크게 영향을 받는다. 철도차량의 현가시스템은 윤축과 대차간 1차현가시스템, 대차와 차체간 2차현가시스템으로 구성되어 있다. 본 논문에서는 국내에서 운용되고 있는 전동차 현가구조에 따른 전동차의 동적거동에 대하여 분석하고자 한다. 현가구조가 상이한 2종류의 전동차에 대하여 실제 선로에서 동일 주행조건으로 주행시험을 수행하였으며 차량의 진동을 계측하였고 진동과 승차감, 진동감쇠율과 같은 동적거동 특성을 분석하였다. 시험결과, 차체 진동성능은 좌우방향은 B대차가, 상하방향은 A대차가 상대적으로 우수하게 나타났다. 승차감은 전반적으로 A대차가 B대차에 비하여 우수하게 나타났다. 진동감쇠율을 보면, 1차현가시스템은 고무스프링이 적용된 A대차에 비하여 코일스프링이 적용된 B대차의 진동감쇠 성능이 우수하며 2차현가시스템은 코일스프링에 비하여 공기스프링이 적용된 A대차의 진동감쇠 성능이 우수하다. 본 논문의 결과는 향후 철도차량 신차 설계 과정에서 현가구조 설계 및 현가요소 선정 시, 유용한 자료로 활용될 것이라 기대된다.

성능시험을 통한 경전철 차량의 주행특성 비교 고찰 (A Comparison on Running Characteristics of Light Rail Transit Vehicles through Performance Test)

  • Test Results of noise, ride comfort and vibration tests are investigated for three kinds of light rail transit vehicles which have passed the performance test and the test criteria has been satisfied. Noise level of light rail transit vehicles was 64~69dB(A) at stop and 74~75dB(A) when operated at full speed. The ride comfort index according to UIC 513R was 2.02 to 2.45. Vibration level of rubber tired light rail transit vehicle was from 'normal' to 'good' and that of iron wheel light rail transit vehicle was 'good' to 'excellent'. These data are the results for three kinds of light rail transit vehicles and more data can be accumulated after further performance test. These data can be used for a reference for the design of light rail transit vehicles.
