조종적성 검사/연구 장비 운용 Console의 인간공학적 개선 (Ergonomic Improvement of Operation Console for Pilot Aptitude Research Equipment)

  • Pilot Aptitude Research Equipment (PARE) is a simulator developed to measure or research pilot aptitude and train for student pilots. Design of an ergonomic PARE operation console is required to operate the equipment effectively. This study carried out five steps : (S1) operator questionnaire survey, (S2) anthropometric design formula development, (S3) usability evaluation, (S4) improvement design, and (S5) validation considering both Physical User Interface (PUI) and Graphic User Interface (GUI) of PARE operation console. The operator questionnaire surveyed needs for each PUI and GUI part of the console from two PARE actual operators. In terms of PUI, the anthropometric design formula was developed by using design variables, body dimensions, target population characteristics, and reference posture related to the PARE console. In terms of GUI, the usability evaluation was conducted by three usability testing experts with a 7-point scale (1 : very low, 4 : neutral, 7 : very high) on GUI of the PARE operation console by seven usability criteria. The improved PARE operation console was designed to reflect the optimal values of design variables calculated from design formula, the results from usability testing, and the operator's needs. The improvement effect was observed by 20 people who had experience with the PARE operation console. As a result of the validation, monitor visibility and cockpit visibility for the improved PUI design and visibility and efficiency for the improved GUI design were significantly increased by more than 90% respectively. The improved design of the PARE operation console in this study can contribute to enhance operation performance of the PARE.

Validation of the Korean Version of the Bronchiectasis Health Questionnaire

  • Background: The Bronchiectasis Health Questionnaire (BHQ) is a simple and repeatable, self-reporting health status questionnaire for bronchiectasis. We have translated the original version of the BHQ into Korean using a standardized methodology. The purpose of this study was to assess the validity of the Korean version of the BHQ (K-BHQ) with Korean patients. Methods: Stable state patients with bronchiectasis from two academic hospitals were enrolled in this study. The validity was assessed by investigating the relationship between the K-BHQ scores and the Korean version of the Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Assessment Test (K-CAT) scores. We also investigated the relationship between the K-BHQ scores and other variables of the modified Medical Research Council's (mMRC) dyspnea scale, lung function, and exacerbations. Results: A total of 126 patients with bronchiectasis were enrolled. The mean age was 64.3 (standard deviation [SD], 9.7). Women comprised 53.2% of the patients. The mean forced expiratory volume in one second (FEV1) was 60% of the predicted value (SD, 18.9%); the mean K-CAT score was 17.6 (SD, 9.1). The K-BHQ scores correlated strongly with the K-CAT scores (r=-0.656, p<0.001). There was significant correlation between the K-BHQ scores and the mMRC dyspnea scale (ρ=-0.409, p<0.001), FEV1 (r=0.406, p<0.001), and number of exacerbations requiring hospitalization (ρ=-0.303, p=0.001). Conclusion: The K-BHQ is valid for assessing the health-related quality of life or health status of Korean bronchiectasis patients.

한국어판 아동용 간편 5요인 성격질문지(K-BFQC-SF) 타당화 연구 (Validation of Korean short version of the Big Five Questionnaire for children)

  • 본 연구는 아동의 5요인 성격 특성을 측정하기 위해 Big Five Questionnaire for Children(BFQ-C; Barbaranelli, Caprara. Rabasca, & Pastoreli, 2003)에 기초하여 학교장면에서 간편하게 활용할 수 있는 한국어판 아동용 간편 5요인 성격질문지(K-BFQC-SF)를 구성하고, 이 질문지에 대한 신뢰도 및 타당도를 검증하는 것이었다. 이를 위해 영문 BFQ-C 65문항을 번안하여 초등학교 5, 6학년 278명을 대상으로 탐색적 요인분석을 실시하고, 일부 문항의 제거 과정을 거쳐 성격 5요인의 구성 개념을 포괄할 수 있는 15문항의 간편형 5요인 성격 질문지를 구성하였다. 축약된 15문항은 확인적 요인분석을 통해 구인타당도를 검증하였다. 한국어판 아동용 간편 5요인 성격질문지의 준거타당도를 알아보기 위해 초등학교 5, 6학년 252명을 대상으로 우울, 학업성적, 진로성숙도와의 상관분석을 수행하였다. 그 결과 15문항의 간편형 척도와 준거변인들간의 관계는 기존에 보고된 연구 결과와 유사한 수준을 보였다. 마지막으로 아동의 자기보고와 성인관찰자인 교사의 평정자료가 서로 일치하는지 알아보기 위해 상관분석을 실시한 결과 양호한 수준을 보였다. 한국어판 아동용 간편 5요인 성격질문지는 학교장면에서 학생들의 성격특성을 이해하는데 유용하게 활용될 수 있다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

식품으로 인한 유해물질 노출조사를 위한 식생활 설문지의 타당도 평가 (Validation Study of a Dietary Questionnaire for Assessing Exposure to Food-Borne Hazards)

  • 식품으로부터의 유해물질 노출 평가를 위해 개발한 식생활 조사지의 신뢰도와 타당도를 평가하고자 216명을 대상으로 식생활 조사를 2회 반복 실시하여 비교하였고, 3일 식사기록 결과와도 비교하였다. 1) 식품 구매 시 주로 사용하는 용기에 대해 동일한 응답을 한 비율은 전체 식품 평균 73.5%였다. 상대적으로 포장 용기가 다양하지 않은 식품에 대한 구매 용기 응답 일치도가 높게 나타났으며, 판매 시 다양한 포장 용기를 사용하는 식품에 대한 구매 용기 응답 일치도는 낮게 나타났다. 2) 식품 보관 시 주로 사용하는 용기에 대한 응답 일치도는 평균 71.9%였다. 가공된 식품을 구매하여 보관하는 식품에 대한 보관 용기 일치도가 높았으며, 조리 후 보관을 하는 식품에 대한 용기 일치도는 낮게 나타났다. 3) 주로 사용하는 조리방법에 대한 응답의 일치도는 평균 83.0%였다. 조리방법이 다양한 식품들에 대한 일치도가 낮게 나타났으며, 조리하지 않고 그대로 먹는 식품에 대한 일치도가 높게 나타났다. 4) 식품섭취빈도조사를 2회 실시하였을 때, 평균 상관계수가 0.71 (range: 0.50~0.83)이었고, 2차 식품섭취빈도조사와 식사기록법의 식품 섭취 횟수의 평균 상관계수는 0.21(range: 0.04~0.48)이었다. 5) 식품섭취빈도조사와 식사기록법으로 산출된 각 식품군별 식품 섭취 횟수를 사분위수로 나누었을 때 모든 식품군의 일치 및 근접 일치도의 합은 50% 이상이었다. 6) 본 연구에서 개발한 조사지는 식생활 항목의 신뢰도가 높고, 섭취빈도의 순위를 분류하는 타당도가 높으므로, 대규모 역학조사에서 질적인 노출수준 평가에 활용할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

유방암여성 임파워먼트 측정도구 개발 및 타당화 (Development and Validation of the Empowerment Scale for Woman with Breast Cancer)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a scale to evaluate empowerment in woman with breast cancer and to examine the validity and reliability of the scale. Methods: The development process for the initial items included a literature review, interviews, and construction of a conceptual framework. The identified items were evaluated for content validity by experts, resulting in 3 factors and 48 preliminary items. Participants were 319 women with breast cancer recruited to test reliability and validity of the preliminary scale. Data were analyzed using item analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, criterion related validity, internal consistency and test-retest reliability. Results: The final scale consisted of 30 items and 3 factors. Factors, including 'intrapersonal factor' (14 items), 'interactional factor' (8 items), and 'behavioral factor' (8 items), were drawn up after confirmatory factor analysis. Goodness of fit of the final research model was very appropriate as shown by ${\chi}^2/df=1.86$, TLI=.90, CFI=.92, SRMR=.06, and RMSEA=.05. Criterion validity was evaluated by total correlation with the Cancer Empowerment Questionnaire .78. Cronbach's alpha for total items was .93 and test-retest reliability was .69. Conclusion: Findings from this study indicate that the scale can be used in the development of nursing interventions to promote the empowerment of women having breast cancer.

임상간호인성 측정도구 개발 (Development and Validation of Nurse's Character Scale for Care in Clinical Settings)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop and validate a Nurse's Character Scale for Care in Clinical settings (NCS_C). Methods: The NCS_C was developed and validated as follows: Item generation, preliminary test of questionnaire, and tests of validity and reliability. One hundred and thirty six preliminary items were developed through a literature review and in-depth interviews by 10 nurse-experts and five patients. The content validity of the items was verified through an evaluation by five nurses and seven professors in the fields of Korean literature, pedagogy and nursing. Finally, 53 items were confirmed through item analysis, factor analysis and validity tests including convergent, discriminant and concurrent validities. Data were analyzed using factor analysis, Pearson correlation coefficients, and Cronbach's alpha. Results: Thirteen factors evolved from the factor analysis, which explained 63.1% of the total variance. The factors referred to the union of two dimensions: the professional dimension and the interpersonal dimension. The internal consistency, Cronbach's alpha, was .95, and reliability of the subscales ranged from .58 to .87. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that the NCS_C is a reliable and valid primary scale to measure nurses' or students' character level for better care in clinical settings.

청소년이 지각한 신체ㆍ정신적 건강에 대한 자아-효능 측정을 위한 SHEQ(School Health Efficacy Questionnaire)의 타당도 (Structural Validation of the SHEQ Measure for Adolescents′ Perceived Self-efficacy in Physical and Mental Health)

  • The purpose of this study were to examine the construct validation and internal reliability of the SHEQ(School Health Efficacy Question- naire)and to establish concurrent validity for the instrument among Korean adolescents by relationship found among SHEQ and the self-reported health status. The sample was consisted 393 high school students, aged with average of 17.40(±0.59) years. According to the criteria used in this validating study, a four-factor structure, which consisted of 31-items, resulting from a principal components analysis with an varimax rotation, best represented the multidimensionality of the SHEQ of adolescents in Korea. Internal consistency estimated for the four factor on the SHEQ subscales range from .68 to .83. Evidence in support of concurrent validity for both 31-item and 38-item of SHEQ was provided by statistically significant correlations found between the two scales and self-reported health. With the findings of this study, the 31-item Korean version of the SHEQ can be used in practice as a reliable and valid instrument measuring perceived self-efficacy in physical and mental health for adolescents in Korea.

Development and Validation of an Instrument to Measure High School Students' Disaster Safety Awareness

  • The purpose of this study is to develop and validate the disaster safety awareness scale for high school students. For this purpose, the previously developed disaster safety awareness scale and related prior research was analyzed. Questionnaire data was collected from March 22 to May 25, 2021 from 1054 students (male: 569, female: 485) in the first, second, and third grades of 5 high schools in 3 cities. Through the process of revising, supplementing, and reviewing the items extracted through preliminary research and preliminary test together with experts and students, a final disaster safety awareness scale consisting of 24 items was developed. This scale consists of four sub-factors: 'disaster prevention', 'disaster response A', 'disaster response B', and 'disaster recovery'. Good reliability and validity were secured through exploratory and confirmatory analyses. The significance of this study is that it laid a basic and objective foundation for high school students' disaster safety awareness research by developing a validated scale in a situation where the development of disaster safety awareness scales for high school students was still insufficient. It can be used as useful data for fire safety education as well as a psychological measurement tool for fostering fire safety awareness.

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to develop an early childhood teacher's autonomy scale in the implementation of the Early Childhood Curriculum and to verify its validity and reliability. Methods: A literature review and a delphi survey were conducted in order to explore conceptual characteristics and develop a preliminary questionnaire. A main survey was conducted on 375 early childhood teacher to test their item quality, validity and reliability. Results: The final scale was composed of 24 items with four factors: 'support for child-centered play environment and interaction' (7 items), 'use of learning community' (4 items), 'cooperation and participation with family and local community' (6 items), and 'flexible daily management' (7 items). And the scale was verified as a stable and reliable tool. Conclusion/Implications: This is expected to contribute to the correct understanding of children's education and to actively realize the autonomy of early childhood teachers in the implementation of the Early Childhood Curriculum.

인성 데이터를 활용한 조기 퇴사자 예측 (Predicting Early Retirees Using Personality Data)

  • 본 연구는 기업에서 채용 전형 시 진행되는 인성시험 결과 데이터를 기반으로, 입사 3년 미만의 조기 퇴사자를 분석하였다. 예측 모형은 적합성 및 향후 활용성을 고려하여 제조(manufacture)직군과 R&D직군 2개 그룹으로 구분하여 분석하였으며, 독립변수 선택은 전진(stepwise)선택법에 따라 직군별로 유의미한 독립변수를 선택하였다. 예측 모형은 지도학습(supervised learning) 방법 중 로지스틱 회귀분석 알고리즘을 선택하였으며, 과잉적합(overfitting) 또는 과소적합(underfitting)을 방지하고자 교차 검증(cross validation)을 통해 예측 모형을 훈련시켰다. 혼동행렬(confusion matrix)을 통해 2개 그룹의 정확도(accuracy)를 확인하였으며, 조기 퇴직에 가장 영향을 많이 미치는 요인으로 제조직군에서는 '몰입', R&D직군에서는 '반사회성' 항목으로 확인되었다. 기존 퇴직 관련 연구는 설문 방식으로 데이터를 수집하고, 퇴직과 관련성이 높은 요인을 확인하는데 집중하였다면, 본 연구는 채용 전형 시 진행되는 인성 결과 분석을 통해 향후에도 지속 가능한 조기 퇴직 예측 모형을 제시했다는 면에서 의의를 갖는다.
