This paper aimed to identify the sensation and the sensibility of transformed colors from the rustling sound of silk fabrics and to visualize the relationship between sensibilities and fabrics by two-dimensional model. The rustling sounds of 7 silk fabrics were recorded and then the recorded sounds were transformed into colors by the program of sound to color transformation. The sensation and the sensibility of transformed colors were evaluated by 30 participants with Likert scale and the physical properties of each specimen were obtained with red portion (RP), green portion (GP), blue portion (BP), and sum of color count (CC) by means of new equation. The adjectives of sensibility were grouped into three groups: Elegant, Active, and Tough. Elegant was related with RP positively and CC negatively. On the other hand, Active was related with GP and CC positively. Also Tough was highly related with RP. Furthermore, the fabrics that were estimated the high purchase preference showed high CC, RP and GP. Also two dimensional model of relation of the sensation and the sensibility could help to understand those relation.

O2O(Online-to-Offline) commerce, a kind of multi-channel, is used in various industries such as accommodation, food and beverage, transportation, and real estate. The O2O commerce, a channel of integrating online and offline, overcomes the limitations of traditional online commerce, where a customer made a purchase decision without direct experience. Despite this advantage of O2O, if the online-offline channel is not effectively linked, customer's complaints would occur due to service failure. This study, with regard to O2O service failure circumstances, intends to investigate the effect of customer's perceived justice on their emotional response, recovery satisfaction, followed by intention to repurchase. Perceived justice in this study is composed of distributive justice, interactional justice, and procedural justice. Furthermore, this study explores the moderation effect of O2O industry types in the relationship between perceived justice and emotion. An O2O industry type is classified into accommodation, food and beverage, and transportation. A hypothesized research model was empirically tested using a structural equation model. The current study collected 433 questionnaires and the target respondents are customers who have experienced service failure in O2O commerce. The empirical results showed that O2O commerce more effectively conducts service recovery strategy and causes positive customer response by integrating online and offline channel. One of the ultimate purposes of O2O service providers is to reduce the likelihood of service failures and to recover more quickly and efficiently by linking two channels rather than using a single channel. This study suggested that the O2O channel is effective in influencing customer satisfaction and loyalty by inducing customer's positive emotions in recovering service failure.
Purpose: This research aimed at exploring the functions of consumers' perceiving approach and avoidance roles and their feeling anger and disgust in the effect of the two types of self-discrepancy at social identity such as the ideal self-discrepancy and the ought self-discrepancy on within-self domain versus across-self domain consumption. Research design, data, and methodology - This study divided the self-discrepancy group into the ideal self-discrepancy and the ought self-discrepancy group as experimental groups for empirical study. Self-discrepancy type between-subjects design was used to develop two types of questionnaire according to the type of experimental groups. The platform, 'questionnaire stars' of 'WeChat' in China was used to collect 103 data from the ideal self-discrepancy group and 102 from the ought self-discrepancy group for empirical study. T-test and the structural equation model in Amos 21 were used to verify hypotheses developed through theoretical review. Results - First, ideal self-discrepancy positively affected the role-approaching goal and anger. Second, ought self-discrepancy positively affected the role-avoiding goal and disgust. Third, the role-approaching goal and anger positively influenced on the within- versus across- domain consumption. Fourth, the disgust negatively influenced on the within- versus across- domain consumption, however the role-avoiding goal did not influence on the consumption. Fifth, there was the mediation roles of anger (disgust) in the effects of ideal (ought) self-discrepancy on the consumption. Conclusions - When consumers feel anger at the ideal self- discrepancy induced by in-group, it is necessary for the marketers to promote their product brand used by the in-group. They should develop and advertise the messages priming the ideal self-discrepancy and the anger to increase the intent to purchase or use their product brand when the in-group members have used the brand by relating the brand to their social identity concerned with the ideal self-discrepancy. However, marketers should help consumers feel disgust by developing and advertising the messages expressing the ought self-discrepancy to lead the consumers to the place of purchasing or using their product brand when the members have used the brand based on keeping the consistence between the brand and other social identity not related to the ought self-discrepancy.
Companies are competing each other, and as the competitions became higher, consumer's information processing for purchase became more complicated. Consumer confusion problem is getting more serious, but there are still not much considerations on this problem. The purpose of this study is to find out that the consumer confusion can causes consumer's negative emotion(anger). This research studied the mediation effect of negative emotion on the relationship between consumer confusion, which was classified into three categories, and two consequences, word-of-mouth and trust. And also it concentrates on moderating effects of negative affectivity and intolerance of uncertainty in the relationship between consumer confusion and negative emotion. For the empirical study, we carried out a survey targeting consumers who live in the Dae-gu metropolitan area. The specific results of this study are as follows. First, all sub-dimensions of the consumer confusion had a positive effect on anger. Second, anger had a positive effect on word of mouth and on the other hand, anger had a negative effect on trust. Third, negative affectivity had a moderating effects on the links between overload and ambiguity confusion with anger, and intolerance of uncertainty only had a moderating effects on the links between overload confusion and anger.
It is widely agreed that customers' purchase are strongly influenced by their emotions. despite the obvious importance of eliciting positive emotional responses from customers, we find no record that family restaurants have ever measured or used customers' emotions as a management tool. This study aimed to verify the importance of the customers' emotion in the relational performance of family restaurant business. In order to achieve the object of the study, the effect of emotional factors on service satisfaction, revisit, word-of-mouth were analysed. The data were collected from 450 customers who had visited five family restaurants in Seoul more than once during the last three months from September 20 to October 5, 2002. Emotional variables in service experience process were grouped as three factors; in the middle of having food, in entering and leaving restaurant and in the waiting line. It is proved that customers had different emotions in each process of family restaurant service experience. Multiple regression analysis was employed to explore the influence of three emotional factors on relational performances such as satisfaction, revisit and word-of-mouth. It was found that customers were influenced by emotional factors in entering and leaving restaurant, secondly influenced in the waiting line and least influenced in the middle of having food. Finally, the findings indicated that customers' emotional factors in whole service experience process from entering to leaving the restaurant should be successfully cared by service staff. Future research is recommended to find out which specific emotional factors affected on relational performance of family restaurant.
Customer value is the source for competitive advantage of online businesses such as Internet shopping malls and portal service. It is important to analyze the relationship between customer value and repurchase in order to provide a guideline of successful online business. The purpose of this paper is to get answers for the following questions. First, what are key components of customer value in online business? Second, What difference exists in the importance or expectance of customer value and its current service level of online business? Finally, what influence relationships exist in customer value and repurchase intentions? Data were collected from 615 respondents who experienced purchase on the Internet shopping malls. This paper developed and empirically tested a model representing the relationships between customer value factors and repurchase intentions as well as difference between the importance of customer value and its service level. The findings here suggested that the service level of customer value was significantly lower than its importance, and customer value factors positively affected the repurchase intentions. Specifically, economy and trust/responsiveness value factors directly affected the repurchase intentions while other factors such as convenience, speed, personalization, community, and emotion value indirectly affected it through trust/responsiveness.
Non-contact judgment and evaluation for products are increasingly needed along with a rapid environmental change in fashion that sows urgency in the need to implement services that allows users to judge and experience a tactile sense in a fashion product without actual contact. Technological development is required to provide users with syn-aesthetic experiences that integrate the visual, tactile and the auditory. There is also a need to conduct research to increase immersion that provides users with ICT-related experiences communicated through fashion images. The study analyzed demands for haptic communication technology by Korean users in immersive VR fashion product shopping. Accordingly, it defined haptic communication through literature research, investigated immersion in the VR environment and conducted in-depth interviews for haptic communication applicable to VR shopping. Findings show that hedonic reactions by fantasy, emotion and fun function are an important motive in selecting VR shopping. VR fashion product shopping steps were divided into 4: move to store, search in store, search of product and purchase based on offline store shopping experience. It defined the haptic communication by steps and analyzed the types of the haptic feedback to be implemented. The study results provide basic data for developing haptic communication technology that can enhance e a sense of the presence and immersion experiences that can help lay a groundwork for pilot studies on the convergence of the virtual and the real.
Purpose: This study aims to analyze the factors affecting customer satisfaction in the customer reviews of omni-channel, posted on Internet blogs, cafes, and YouTube using text mining analysis. Research, data, and Methodology: In this study, frequency analysis is performed and the LDA (Latent Dirichlet Allocation) is used to analyze social big data to respond to reviewers' reaction to the recently opened omni-channel shopping reviews by L Shopping Company. Additionally, based on the topic analysis, we conduct a sentiment analysis on purchase reviews and analyze the characteristics of each topic on the positive or negative sentiments of omni-channel app users. Results: As a result of a topic analysis, four main topics are derived: delivery and events, economic value, recommendations and convenience, and product quality and brand awareness. The emotional analysis reveals that the reviewers have many positive evaluations for price policy and product promotion, but negative evaluations for app use, delivery, and product quality. Conclusions: Retailers can establish customized marketing strategies by identifying the customer's major interests through text mining analysis. Additionally, the analysis of sentiment by subject becomes an important indicator for developing products and services that customers want by identifying areas that satisfy customers and areas that evoke negative reactions.
An analysis was carried out for this study to figure out if there exists any differences in the model consumers accept for commercialized MP3-playing clothing and bio-signal sensing clothing. To analyze the differences of the structural variables of the products types, t-test was conducted with SPSS 15.0 package and multi-group analysis with AMOS 5.0 to find out the differences of each path goes with product types in structural equation model. In analytical results of effective sample of 557 copies of questionnaire, consumers' were highly aware of MP3-playing clothing in perceived ease of use, while they were aware relatively high of bio-signal sensing clothing in perceived usefulness, attitudes, consumer acceptance. The perceived value which was input to find out consumers awareness about sale price of commercialized products, was proven to do very important moderating role in forming consumers' attitudes and acceptance intention. Besides, consumers showed a difference in path in accepting model goes with product types. In bio-signal sensing clothing case, 'the perceived usefulness$\rightarrow$attitudes' path which was backed up in MP3-playing clothing was rejected, and 'perceived value$\rightarrow$attitudes' path appeared relatively high with moderating role of perceived value higher than MP3-playing clothing. Considering the results above, as the smart clothing is in the initiative commercialization stage while consumers were in the inquiry stage into awareness or information necessary in the course of purchase decision-making, and so an effective commercialization strategy seems to be necessary.
Although previous studies have emphasized factors affecting people's variety-seeking behavior, research has not been performed to examine the interaction effect of good-bad luck and embodied cognition (hand washing) on variety-seeking behavior. Experience of good and bad luck affects consumer information processing and hand washing is known to reverse the experience of luck. Understanding the interaction effect of good/bad luck and hand washing on variety seeking behavior will shed important light on consumer behavior including choice and product purchase. To do this, a study was performed to investigate the effects of good/bad luck priming and hand washing on variety seeking behavior. Participants were primed with good or bad luck and then were asked to either wash their hands or not. After that, they were led to choose yogurt for the next seven days and the dependent measure was the number of different tastes of yogurt participants picked up. An interaction effect of luck priming and hand washing was found. Results indicate that, in good luck condition, there was no difference in variety seeking behavior between hand washing participants and non-hand washing participants. However, in bad luck condition, hand washing participants chose less diverse tastes of yogurt than non-hand washing participants. Implications of the study findings for the field of consumer psychology and marketing are discussed.
